Bella Hadid split with Adan Banuelos, her Texas horse-dude boyfriend of two years

I’m not sure if anyone will care about this other than me, but this gossip bummed me out. In late 2023, there were rumors that Bella Hadid was seeing a low-key non-celebrity. The gossip turned out to be true, and by early 2024, Bella had moved to Fort Worth, Texas and she was cohabitating with her horse trainer/equestrian boyfriend Adan Banuelos. For two years, Bella actually seemed to get away from the model grind, enjoying some semblance of a normal life, living out all of her horse girl dreams with her boyfriend. Well, it’s apparently over. The relationship, that is. I have no idea if she plans on continuing to live in Texas.

Bella Hadid and professional equestrian Adan Banuelos have reportedly called it quits after two years together. The supermodel, 28, and Banuelos, a well-known horse trainer on the competitive circuit, are said to have ended their romance recently, according to Entertainment Tonight.

A source told ET that Hadid is taking the breakup hard, describing the end of their relationship as emotionally significant given how committed the relationship had become.

‘She’s still processing it,’ the insider said, adding that the pair’s bond had been ‘very serious.’

According to the source, Hadid has been leaning into her work and surrounding herself with close friends to ‘distract herself from the split.’ Despite the reports, the former couple are still following each other on Instagram.

The former couple first sparked dating rumors in October 2023, when they were spotted together in Texas. At the time, Hadid was frequently seen attending rodeo events and spending extended time in the state.

[From The Daily Mail]

I looked through her Instagram to see if she was still spending time in Texas, and it looks like even as recently as three or four weeks ago, she was still attending Adan’s events. But… this breakup coincides with Bella’s promotion for The Beauty, a Ryan Murphy-produced horror series. It would not surprise me at all if Bella spent two years in Texas and decided that, actually, she likes to work and she would rather spend more time in New York and LA. That’s just my theory, I have no idea. I also wonder if she thought they would end up getting married and he wasn’t into it. Once again, that’s just a theory. Two years is a long time to spend in Texas to nurture a relationship without a ring to show for it, I’m just saying.

I assume she’ll stop dressing like a cowgirl.

Maybe he’s the one that wanted to start a family and have a sahm wife and she had second thoughts.

I liked that relationship. It was refreshingly low key, not creepy like the one she had for years with The Weeknd and she looked genuinely happy.

I think her mom has a house in Texas now? Or maybe it was hers, a local design mag covered it. Was kind of a kardashian/Yellowstone mash up if I remember right, I wasn’t into it.

Horse people (at the $$$ level) can be super dramatic, I don’t know enough about the Hadids to know if she fits that. She does look happy in the photos, although that’s an odd top for riding.

Really, you think you need to get married after two years? You hardly know each other by then. It’s still the honeymoon fase.
You’ll need at least a failed roadtrip with a broken down car and stomach flue for everybody. Your life is very long. Make sure you choose somebody who will support you through bad times. Not a guy who buys a big ring after the mandatory two years together. (Source: got married after l5 years and two children together.)

Sorry, no. As someone who spent over a decade with someone with no ring at the end, two years is plenty of time to know someone well enough for a proposal. Most successfully married husbands I know told me they knew within months that their wife was the one. Looking back, there’s no way I would’ve given that man that much time if I could do it over again. Sadly, I can’t.
