Emma Stone wore Louis Vuitton to the 2026 BAFTAs: boring or classic?

Here are some fashion photos from last night’s BAFTAs. All of the ladies in this post are wearing Louis Vuitton, and most of them are brand ambassadors for LV. I’m about to share a treasury of fashion and film hot takes, so buckle up. First up, Emma Stone. Louis Vuitton gave their Oscar-winning brand ambassador a simple, slinky black dress. Emma’s whole vibe this awards season has been “it’s not my year, y’all don’t have to pay much attention to me.” She’s doing that because people had feelings about her last Oscar win, for Poor Things. My take: she totally deserved the Oscar for Poor Things, and she totally deserves her nominations this year for Bugonia. She’s absolutely insane in Bugonia, and I kind of think she should be a bigger part of the Best Actress conversation for it. I also think LV should work harder on their looks for Emma.

Renate Reinsve, like Emma, got some big Best Actress nominations. But like Emma, Renate isn’t really in the conversation, which is too bad. She’s fantastic in Sentimental Value and I think she’s one of the most exciting European actresses right now. Unfortunately, I find her style to be so hit-or-miss, if not completely terrible. This is a terrible choice for the BAFTAs.

Chase Infiniti became a Louis Vuitton ambassador last year off the success of One Battle After Another. Which is smart for a young actor, aligning herself with a big fashion house before an awards season. Unfortunately, LV has done her dirty a few times already, and this look for the BAFTAs was not great. She’s a beautiful young lady with a great figure – why are you putting her in a tube dress with a stiff flare?

Alicia Vikander is a long-time LV ambassador and I almost always dislike what they give her. The cutout ruins what could have been an interesting dress. LV always takes it one step too far.

I thought Chase Infiniti’s dress was interesting, like the photo caught it mid twirl. I have no idea how one sits in it thought lol, or I guess more specifically how does one sit NEXT to this dress?

The bottom of the dress reminds me of a coffee filter. I think it’s one of those dresses that just doesn’t translate to real life. Great color though.

I like it too! However, if I were Alicia Vikander, I would have refused to leave my house.

Hot take, Emma is wearing the best LV dress I’ve seen in a long time. It’s classic and suits her frame perfectly.
LV rarely gets a whole look right, but Emma looks great.

I actually love Chase’s dress – I think it’s a cool silhouette while still managing to be figure-hugging. It’s Ramadan so I can’t see anything else about the other dresses…

    Chase looks gorgeous!

    Emma’s face looks really good.

    Her make up is😘😘😘.

Just saw a reference to Emma looking “cadaverous.” I would have said emaciated. I think her dress is nice but wrong for her.

  7. Grant says:

I think Chase looks incredible. I love the color, I love the silhouette, I love her hair, I love the styling.

  8. Kirsten says:

I really like Emma’s dress. It seems appropriate for someone who’s nominated but probably isn’t going to win.

I actually think Alicia has the best dress here — the color is lovely on her and the embellishments and peplum are super cool. Without the cutout I think it would read as too heavy.

  9. JJ says:

I think Emma looks great! It’s sexy and will age well in photos.

  10. Jane says:

    Vikander’s dress is heavenly.

Stone’s is bone ugly, no eating disordered pun intended.

  11. Paula says:

My kingdom for some body diversity.

I watched Bugonia over the weekend. I really liked it. Jessie Plemons got robbed of an Oscar nod. He was excellent.
