Kate Hudson wore Prada to the 2026 BAFTAs: lovely or too plain?

This post is dedicated to the people wearing Prada at the BAFTAs. Thanks to the Prada people for sending us some of these photos with their promotional email. (We appreciate all promotional emails and you’re welcome to send them to info@celebitchy.com.) First we have Best Actress nominee Kate Hudson in a red Prada off the shoulder gown. She looks so pretty, but this gown is underwhelming. It’s quite plain and it doesn’t look like Kate’s style, she’s typically a little wackier than this. Danny Fujikawa seems like a great partner and he always supports her on the red carpet. I doubt they’ll ever get married, but her mom and stepfather aren’t married either and they’re doing just fine.

Kerry Washington brought the drama in my favorite Prada gown. Their email describes it as a “navy blue chiffon dress with a tablier neckline and soleil pleated skirt, featuring floral embroidery in black and blue sequins, jet beads, and small crystals.” Look at how it fans out on the carpet! Her hair and makeup are perfection too. Kerry does not get enough credit for turning in excellent work. I think she’s such a staple that people take her for granted. Plus she’s not controversial at all.

Here’s Sadie Sink looking like a princess in sea foam green Prada. If you told me she was British I would believe you, but she’s actually from Texas. She’s also 23 when I would have guessed 19. She was there with Noah Jupe, her costar in the West End production of Romeo and Juliet. Her styling is exquisite.

Carey Mulligan was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, for The Ballad of Wallis Island. She was in a “custom Prada fluid satin slip dress in navy blue, featuring a geometric halter neckline.” This looks like so many other gowns we’ve seen her wear. I swear her main fashion objective is to fly under the radar. The color of this gown is striking in some of these photos.

These pictures don’t do Sadie S justice. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Her on stage Romeo needs to loose that terrible suit and atrocious moustache though.

  2. Drea says:

The breast darts on that dress are just… wrong. They are too close together, they look bad, and it’s giving her bad armpit gaping.

    That’s just bad tailoring.

So I like Kate’s red dress and styling. It’s v classic Hollywood. And that color on Sadie is gorgeous. Gorgeous. She’s so young-looking though that it’s giving me prom vibes but maybe that’s bc she’s with her equally young looking costar. Which works for R&J so there you go. Love the necklace. Balenciaga on the red carpet has been doing really good bw this and the GG. Yeah I’m talking bout that gold snake necklace, lol. And this locket/pendant? On Sadie.

I LOVE Kate’s outfit. It looks great on her and she looks classic and vibrant in the red. Not boring at all. All the Prada dresses are beautiful.

I saw the post pic and wondered what Will Wheaton was doing with Kate????
Please don’t let me be the only one. LOL.

  6. Krista says:

Kate looks like Ellen Pompeo in some of these photos.

  7. Kirsten says:

Carey’s dress is gorgeous but I’m not a huge fan of the others. Sadie is so pretty but her dress is a bridesmaid dress.

Also, Kate looks different somehow. Idk if she had new work done or that’s just a really unflattering hairstyle?
