In late February, a curious story unfolded in the gossip media. People Magazine ran a big exclusive about Pink & Carey Hart’s marriage struggles, with a source telling People that they had separated. Pink immediately got on her social media and disputed the story. Carey didn’t say one word and didn’t post anything to his social media. People Mag also left up their original headline about the separation, although they did update the story to include Pink’s denial. Then, several days ago, Pink and Carey were seen out and about together in New York. So what’s really going on? The vibes on this have been weird from the start, and Page Six’s sources claim they know what’s going on.
Pink has never been one to stay quiet. The chart-topping pop star, 46, appeared furious and frustrated two weeks ago as she denounced “fake news” reports she had split from former pro-motocross racer Carey Hart, her husband of 20 years.
“So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” she sniffed in an Instagram video. “Thank you for letting me know. Would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and my 9-year-old are also unaware.”
But her husband — who regularly posts to his 1.3 million Instagram followers — didn’t say a word in support of his wife’s comments.
A source in the know told us the couple is now working out what their future looks like, and have indeed been discussing going their separate ways. Pink was “blindsided” by the reports, the source said.
“They haven’t worked out the technicalities of how it will work with the kids and where they’ll each be based full time,” the source said. But ultimately, “they weren’t ready to have it out there just yet … Pink just wants to protect the kids, which is entirely fair.”
As Page Six previously revealed, the couple have moved to NYC, leaving their 200-acre vineyard estate in Santa Ynez Valley, California — at least for the time being — so that daughter Willow can pursue her Broadway dreams.
“In a lot of ways they’re going to appear closer than ever right now, but it’s because they’re finalizing plans for how they’ll successfully co-parent and uncouple,” said the source. “They want to be a united front for their kids, and so they are staying very close to each other right now — but it’s literally because they are laying the groundwork for what comes next.”
Case in point: Over the weekend, they appeared the picture-perfect family as they went to see the Broadway musical “& Juliet” with Willow and son Jameson.
Yeah, I think it’s fair enough that Pink didn’t want to announce anything and she was skittish about how People Mag got the story. It kind of feels like People Mag got the story from Carey’s camp, right? Maybe he didn’t authorize it, but someone on “his side” wanted that information out there. Which makes me wonder if he’s the one pushing for a separation and Pink has been the one dragging her feet. It would make a lot of sense. Anyway, it sucks that this came out before they were ready to talk about it, but I do feel like there’s some major gossip here.

There might have been a turmoil but they’re fine now.. Their whole relationship is on and off and P!nk has admitted that many times. I am rooting for them and want them to grow old together!
I really like them together. I hope they can see their way through this.
Aw I love this family. I just saw a clip of Pink and her son doing a cooking segment on some talk show, and the kid was so polite, smart and well spoken. Fingers crossed that things work out for them.
I always think of Corey Hart, the Canadian sunglasses-at-night singer.
