Avril Lavigne and reality star Brody Jenner have sealed their new love with matching lightning bolt tattoos. At least they didn’t get each other’s names tattooed on their bodies, but they’re sure to reach a point in the next few weeks when they look at those things with disdain and wonder what the hell they were thinking. Avril just got a tattoo three weeks ago with her ex husband, Deryck Whibley, but there’s no word whether they opted for matching symbols or a bible verse to commemorate their breakup sex. Avril and Brody, well, they’re officially branded as the lightning twins. Wonder douche power, activate!
Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne are making their recently rumored romance VERY official.
So official, in fact, that they put it in ink: We hear that the lovebirds got matching tattoos over the weekend.
“They showed up to the opening of Mario Barth King Ink and requested the same tats,” says an insider at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. The reality TV star and the rock princess both requested lightning bolts, she on her forearm and he behind his ear.
“They were really excited about it,” says the spy, adding that the two spent the rest of the evening cozied up to each other. “They held hands openly and were kissing in a corner. Brody didn’t leave Avril’s side all night.”
Although they refused to pose together on the red carpet at the posh event, a photographer had indeed snapped the first pic of them smooching outside the Chateau Marmont in L.A. on Friday. Later that night, the duo left for their rather romantic trip to Sin City.
And if the matching tats aren’t proof positive that the former playboy may be turning into a one-gal man, a source says Brody just brought the songstress home to meet mom.
“He introduced Avril to his mother last weekend,” says a West Coast insider, who’s close to the new couple. “He’s really head over heels for her and wanted to let her know how serious he was, so he took her to [his mom] Linda’s home. It went really well.”
And it’s not only Brody’s mama who’s s giving the lovebirds her blessing: Avril’s ex-hubby, Deryck Whibley, has apparently approved of the twosome as well.
“Avril and Deryck are just friends now,” insists the pal, despite recent rumors that the two are still hooking up. “He thinks Brody is a good guy and that it’s great the two of them are doing well.”

You know that Deryck is grateful to Brody for taking that pain in the ass off his hands. Deryck is also dating again and was spotted out with another woman just like week. (Photo below.) When I first reported that Avril and Brody were an item I wrote “This won’t last, but at least we won’t be subjected to photos of the two posing at Las Vegas events.” Given that they’ve already got matching tattoos, it’s probably just a matter of time.

Snowball, I was about to say the same thing.
I don’t understand the whole Avril/Dereck situation. First they’re breaking up. Then they’re spotted at the Alice premiere together. WTF!?! Make up your damn minds.
But, good luck to anyone who hooks up with Avril. They probably have to constantly tell her she’s so “amazing” and “the best” and other loads of crap to feed her enormous ego.

It is hilarious that the current highlight of Avril’s “career” is getting a lighting bolt tattoo. I guess creating good music is way beyond her abilities – what is she 25 and washed up. Oh well, when that tat starts to go bad she can use some of that pro-active skin cream that she’s hawking on infomercials to clear it up.
