Dennis Rodman skips out on $1000 & $1,500 dinner bill two nights in a row

It’s nothing new to hear that there are some shockingly entitled celebrities out there. But it’s always surprising to hear the way that they openly, recklessly, and carelessly flaunt the simplest and most obvious rules. Like paying for your meal. A lot of celebrities assume their meals will be comped when they eat out. Which I find to be pretty infuriating. It’s incredibly gracious of a restaurant if they choose to do that, but it shouldn’t be assumed. And generally speaking the etiquette is to leave an enormous tip as a thank you to the server and staff. But what does someone famous do when the enormous bill comes and it hasn’t been comped? Just walk the hell out of the restaurant, if you’re Dennis Rodman. Or leave your friends to deal with it.

THE night after Dennis Rodman and his entourage reportedly walked out on a $1,000 bill at the Gansevoort South in Miami — a claim he denied — the former NBA great and 10 friends pulled the same trick at restaurant Philippe at the same hotel, Page Six has learned. “He was so wasted he couldn’t carry a sentence,” said one witness.

After consuming $1,500 worth of food and drinks, “Dennis sneaks, or I should say stumbled, out of the restaurant. Then, his friends start leaving . . . until the manager picked up on it and presented the bill to the last three guests at the table.” After many phone calls, and the arrival of police, the bill was paid. Rodman’s rep did not return our call.

Talk about pure class. Never let it be said that just because he’s not relevant anymore, Dennis Rodman isn’t just as tacky and disgusting as ever. Just a month ago Rodman was kicked out of the London Hotel in West Hollywood for slapping and groping women. He’s been in rehab multiple times, though it clearly hasn’t taken. Rodman was also kicked off “Celebrity Apprentice” for his behavior. Why doesn’t this kind of stuff ever catch up with him? There’s no word on what happened to the $1,000 bill. But I’m guessing those friends that had to cover the $1,500 probably don’t have as much money as Rodman. Or maybe they do – considering he’s otherwise so careless, it wouldn’t be surprising to learn he’s reckless with money too. Maybe he’s skipping out on bills because he can’t afford to pay them.

Wouldn’t it be mind boggling if Dennis Rodman were in the news once –just once – for doing something good? You know, instead of drinking, walking out on checks, and smacking women.

Dennis Rodman kicked out of LA hotel for groping women, scaring children

Dennis Rodman was visiting the London Hotel in West Hollywood last Friday when he proceeded to grope female guests, scare children, and yell obscenities. Security promptly escorted him out of the building. Rodman was also recently kicked off of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice due to his out-of-control behavior. The episode on which he was kicked off was a sort of intervention episode with Rodman promising Donald that he would get help for his problems. Sounds like he didn’t follow through on that promise.

Sources tell TMZ Rodman was asked to leave the London Hotel in West Hollywood on Friday after several guests complained about his behavior. We’re told Rodman was slapping and groping female guests, as well as yelling obscenities. And get this — our spies tell us he even scared the children.

A hotel staffer told us, “He is the most obscene and out of control guest I’ve ever seen up here.”

He was probably drunk at the time – he went to rehab last year. As we have seen, it often takes several stints in rehab to finally kick an addiction – especially for celebrities, for whom the pressure to party is so strong.

This latest news is not going to make his life any easier. In April last year, he was arrested on charges of domestic battery, which his rep said was brought on by drinking and missing his kids. Oddly enough, this arrest was also made at an LA hotel. He then went to rehab in Florida for a while, and upon exiting agreed to do Celebrity Apprentice. He’s still on probation for the domestic battery arrest, so for his sake hopefully this incident won’t affect his legal situation. I can’t imagine, with him having been in rehab and with the battery count on his record, he’s been getting to see his kids very often. This recent incident will probably cut down on visitation time even more. And if missing them leads him to drink like his rep would have us believe, things are not looking good for him. Let’s hope he gets the help he needs.

Dennis Rodman enters rehab

On 30th April Dennis Rodman was arrested for domestic violence, which his manager brushed off, saying it was just some bruises, and it was brought on by drinking to relieve stress from a bad divorce and not seeing his kids for two months.

He said that Rodman would be entering a rehab facility on his return to Florida, and he has.

Dennis Rodman has checked into a rehab facility in Florida, his manager has confirmed. The news follows Rodman’s arrest on Thursday on suspicion of felony domestic battery.

Cops believe he attacked his girlfriend during a drunken fight at a Los Angeles hotel the day before. He was released on $50,000 bail before heading to Miami, where he was spotted with friends over the weekend.

On Monday morning he entered an outpatient rehab center in Fort Lauderdale, his representative Darren Prince has confirmed to TMZ.com.

I’m glad he’s getting himself into a rehab and sorted out – before he inflicts more than bruises on his girlfriend. Hopefully this trip to rehab is for real and not just to lesson his sentence, which is seems to be for a lot of criminals. I know that any kind of addictive behavior is hard to shake, think of caffeine, cigarettes, and watching reality television for those of you not into more illicit substances. It often takes more than just one trip to rehab to change your ways, but sometimes it seems that criminals – not just celebrity offenders – use it as a way to get lesser prison sentences before going back to their previous behavior.

No time frame for Dennis’ stay in rehab was given.

Dennis Rodman Busted for Domestic Violence

This sure hasn’t been a great week in terms of domestic violence awareness. First Vanilla Ice was let off the hook after his arrest for hitting and kicking his wife last month. Unfortunately his wife refused to press charges. Now former NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman has been arrested as well. According to his lawyer, it can all be blamed on a drinking problem and a bad divorce. He does a pretty bad job trying to make Rodman look like the victim.

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was arrested last night on suspicion of felony domestic battery. He was arrested at 11:00 PM at a Century City hotel and was released early this morning. Law enforcement tells us they charge suspects with a felony if there is evidence of injury, such as bruising or blood. Rodman was released on $50,000 bail today at 4:16 AM.

UPDATE: Rodman’s manager Darren Prince tells TMZ, “Last night Dennis and his girlfriend had too much to drink. When they returned to their hotel they started arguing and a minor altercation broke out where Dennis grabbed her by the arm and left a bruise.” Hotel security got involved and called LAPD, who responded and made the arrest. We’re told Dennis plans to enter a rehab facility immediately upon returning to Florida because — according to Prince — “his drinking has been escalating in the last six weeks due to a nasty divorce and not seeing his children in over two months.”

A bruise can still indicate some pretty rough, scary force, depending on the kind of bruise. Darren Prince makes it sound like it’s no big deal, and just a technicality. But when you hear about someone being beaten “black and blue,” it’s black and blue with bruises. Obviously that’s not what happened here as it sounds like Rodman’s girlfriend likely just had the one bruise on her arm. But my point is that you can get roughed up pretty badly and have bruises to show for it – lack of broken bones doesn’t mean what went on was some petty little domestic squabble.

Hopefully Rodman will get his ass into rehab – and it’d be great if the prosecutor on his case takes it more seriously than Vanilla Ice’s did.
