Britney Spears’ sons cuss like sailors, and Brit doesn’t care

britney spears 3 160609

Britney Spears’ sons Sean and Jayden have potty mouths, according to Gatecrasher. Apparently, Britney brought her boys to the “swag suite” in Los Angeles last week, and her boys decided to run around shouting “Oh sh-t!” Gee, I wonder where they got it? Seriously, where? From Kevin or from Britney? It sounds more like Kevin to me. Britney’s cussing is more of a “my p-ssy is hangin’ out, y’all!” variety.

Britney Spears’ tots have definitely hit the terrible twos and threes, if their language is any indication.

While the singer picked up goodies at a swag suite in L.A. last week, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, shocked guests by repeatedly yelling, “Oh sh-t!”

“We were all surprised by their potty mouths, but it was actually pretty funny,” one onlooker acknowledged.

How did Britney respond to her sons’ antics?

Said the source: “She was too busy picking out freebies to chastise the boys for misbehaving.”

[From Gatecrasher]

Does anyone think this is a big deal? I find it funny. Probably because I was the same way. Both of my parents were and are world-class cussers, and I learned at a very early age how to make a sailor blush. A famous family story has me shouting “Goddamn it!” at some kind of dinner party when I was barely a year old.

In a minor Britney-related story, it seems Miley Cyrus was all over Brit at the Teen Choice Awards. Miley presented Britney with her honorary award, and Miley also talked Brit up in several interviews, telling MTV News that she was “proud” of Britney:

“She’s a good friend of the family,” Cyrus, who also performed her new single, “Party in the USA,” said. “So I’m just happy to finally be able to really show everyone that she’s back and she never went anywhere.”

In addition to both Miley and Britney finding success at a young age, Miley was quick to point out that the two, who are about 11 years apart in age, also share a common ground in terms of their upbringing. “I love how successful her music is doing right now and [I am] just proud of her,” she said. “You know, another Southern girl … I love that.”

[From MTV]

Is there anyone telling Miley that she should look at Britney as a cautionary tale as much as she is a musical/celebrity role model? I understand Miley is just trying to be nice and support Britney, but judging from the stripper pole, I’d say Miley’s little head doesn’t register that her path is looking eerily similar to Britney’s – the over sexualized teenager, the older boyfriends, the lack of formal education, all to work ungodly hours. Enough, Miley.

Britney was cured by TLC, and is a good mother says Lynne

Lynne Spears has given an interview on British television show GMTV saying that Britney Spears’ breakdown was cured by love.

Lynne Spears says her daughter Britney turned her life around after her much publicised breakdown thanks to ‘a lot of love and care and help.’

‘Sometimes you have to just settle down,’ she told Lorraine Kelly on GMTV.

‘You have to stop, think. And there’s a lot of people that care about Britney and love Britney, and Britney’s doing great now.’

Daily Mail

A lot of that love and care probably came in the form of a psychiartrist and mood stabilizers, but what ever works. It’s good to see Britney with the support of her family.

Lynne also describes Britney as a wonderful mother, which might have carried more impact from a more reputable source, but I’m willing to accept that Britney is a good parent.

“Oh she’s a wonderful mother – she’s funny, she’s extremely affectionate,” said the Spears matriarch, who was promoting her memoir, Through the Storm. “[At] home, where there’s nobody around, she’s very normal.”

People

Britney’s most famous public parenting examples came when she drove with her oldest son on her lap, almost dropped him twice, drove with him incorrectly fastened in his car seat, and was photographed out late partying without underwear.

Of course, every parent knows that you do make mistakes, and it’s bad enough with just your family watching you, without the whole world. I can think of a few times I am glad it wasn’t caught by paparazzi photographers. My favorites are:

My son wouldn’t leave his seatbelt on as we traveled on the motorway, so I put duct tape on his seat belt buckle.

My daughter went through a naked phase, so I just let her run around naked at home – in winter. Athough I kept the central heating on, it would have looked really bad in the tabloids.

I have lost each of my children at least once in a mall. Although, if I were Britney, I could have employed paps to help me find them, as opposed to running around Target yelling for them like a madwoman before finding them in the men’s section.

Britney’s Birthday Boys Truckin’ Along

Britney Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, turned 3 on Sunday and 2 on Friday, respectively, and Mama Britney threw them a good ol’ big-truck themed party! Britney and the boys partied it up family-style with Grandma Lynne, Grandpa Jamie, Auntie Jamie Lynn, and 2-month old cousin Maddie along with about 50 other guests. This should put to rest the speculation about the contents of Lynne’s soon-to-be-released book, which was falsely reported, a publishing insider told OK! Magazine, to contain a lot of stories about sex and drugs in Britney’s early teens, but it won’t. Celebrity friend tots also included on the guest list were Jenny McCarthy’s son Ewan and Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s son, Kingston.  Kingston partied all weekend.  He was at Heidi Klum and Seal’s son, Henry’s, 3rd birthday party earlier with the Beckham boys.  Sounds like a brat pack in the making to me.

In typical spoiled, celebrity kid style, SP and JJ got Ed Hardy style tricked out trucks for their birthdays. A source told People that the trucks came complete with personalized license plates and Ed Hardy by Christian Audiger decals and air freshners.  Britney and family spent the day watching the boys and their little guests drive around the property of Brit pal, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif’s Beverly Park mansion. I didn’t get my first car until I was 18, and I still haven’t gotten a personalized license plate. I do have the Ed Hardy air freshener, though, so I’m not bitter.

The boys’ dad, Kevin Federline, threw them a pool party last weekend while their mother unceremoniously opened the MTV Video Music Awards, and surprisingly won three of them.

Britney’s sons spend their first night with her since January

Britney Spears got a pretty big reward for all of the hard work she’s done straightening out her life. Last week it was reported that Britney was granted some overnight visits with her sons. This past Saturday Sean Preston and Jayden James spent the night at their mother’s home for the first time since she was hospitalized in January.

Britney Spears spent Saturday night with her boys at her Los Angeles home. It was the singer’s first overnight visit with Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, since she was hospitalized at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January. The boys were dropped off Saturday and picked up around 10 a.m. Sunday, according to a source.

“Britney was very upset after the kids left,” the source tells Usmagazine.com. “She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”

Meanwhile, Spears and ex Kevin Federline — who was spotted partying in Miami over the weekend — are gearing up for a custody trial, set to begin August 25. Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! that a mediation session last Thursday didn’t result in a custody agreement. Federline is seeking sole physical and legal custody of sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2 and wants Spears to continue her current visitation terms. Said Kaplan, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial. But that didn’t happen.”

[From Us Weekly]

I can understand how her boys leaving could be very hard for Britney. I’m sure it would rip out any parent’s heart, but the fact that the overnight visitation is so up in the air must have made the whole experience very bittersweet. If she knew if/when she could count on having her sons again, it probably would have made it much easier.

It’s too bad Britney and K-Fed haven’t been able to come to an agreement in terms of custody yet. Though from my understanding, that’s something that is almost always in a state of flux, at least to some extent. As the boys grow and change their needs will as well. And hopefully over time Britney will grow more and more stable and be able to take a more active role in her son’s lives. It sounds like she made it through a tough experience, and hopefully will get to see a lot more of her boys soon.

Overnight visits for Britney and her sons still a long way off

britneyjayden.jpg
Britney and Jayden in September
Kevin Federline’s uber-attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan must think he’s a celebrity or something, because he sure likes to talk to the press about his famous client’s even more famous ex-wife, Britney Spears. Most recently, Kaplan did an interview with E! News to talk about the likelihood of Britney having overnight visits with her two boys.

While the time she’s spent with her two children over the past month has seemingly proved beneficial to all parties involved, overnight visits with Sean Preston and Jayden James are still a ways off, according to Kevin Federline’s resident legal eagle, Mark Vincent Kaplan.

The attorney told E! News Friday that the monitored visits between Spears and her sons “have been nothing out of the norm,” but that “there has to be consistency over time.

“I don’t think 30 or 40 days is the magic number,” Kaplan said.

[From E!Online]

Of course this guy doesn’t think 30 or 40 days is the magic number- he is going to milk this case for as long as he possibly can, especially now that Britney is footing the bill. If he has his way, this custody battle will go on until Jayden’s 18th birthday, and then Kaplan can buy an island or something. Kaplan was quick to give Jamie Spears kudos for his positive influence on Britney, and pointed out that K-Fed is still hoping to have Britney more involved in the boys upbringing.

Kaplan continues to credit Jamie Spears’ newfound presence in his daughter’s life for this noticeably more amiable state of affairs.

“All we know is that since Jamie Spears has been involved it has been a very stabilizing force,” he said.

The elder Spears has been serving as coconservator of the pop star’s estate since Feb. 1, when she was admitted to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation. Jamie and a court-approved psychiatrist are required to be present when Spears spends time with her sons.

Kaplan said that the next custody-related hearing is expected to take place in May, and he’s still anticipating a trial, in preparation of which he has deposed a number of Spears’ friends and associates, including off-again, on-again manager Larry Rudolph.

Regardless of what anyone says about him, it’s still Federline’s intention to do the right thing for his children, the lawyer said.

“The goal is to have a stabilizing and consistent order for the kids,” Kaplan said. “His hope is that would involve the participation in a substantial way by their mother.”

[From E! Online]

I’m sure K-Fed, Jamie Spears and Britney’s doctors could work this out without Kaplan, but then we wouldn’t get these fascinating interviews anymore. Has anyone else noticed that Kaplan gives a press conference weekly, even when there’s no court hearing? I’m trying to remember the last time anyone from Britney’s legal team did a press conference or sat down with E! Hmmmm. Really makes you wonder, doesn’t it? I wonder if Kaplan will lose interest in this case now that he’s signed on to represent Robin Williams’ wife in their divorce. I bet there’s a lot of money tied up in that case.
