Ben Kingsley says Mary-Kate was ‘in charge’ of their make-out scene

Some things are just too distressing and disgusting to think about. Hulk Hogan rubbing sun block on his daughter’s ass. Your parents having sex. Anything having to do with Michael Jackson. And another to add to the list: Sir Ben Kingsley making out with Mary-Kate Olsen. Shudder. If you asked me two years ago what sentence I was most confident I’d never ever say, it would have been that one.

The pair had to [I assume/hope it was a “God, I had to do this for work” thing, and not a “Great, I get to do this for work” situation] engage in some serious lip locking for their upcoming film The Wackness. And Sir Ben, being the gentleman that he is, let the lady take the lead.

He’s a screen legend – heck, he’s even been knighted! But Sir Ben Kingsley isn’t above a little kiss-and-tell when it comes to his on-screen smooch with 22-year-old Mary-Kate Olsen in The Wackness.

“She was completely in charge,” the actor, 64, tells PEOPLE of their enthusiastic make-out scene in a telephone booth.

The former star of Gandhi and Schindler’s List – who’s currently shooting with Martin Scorcese in Boston – drove down to New York for the movie’s Cinema Society and Sony Cierge-sponsored party at the Gramercy Roof Club.

“I love watching the movie,” his wife, Daniela, said of the coming-of-age stoner film. As for her real-life leading man, she added, “I love him. He’s amazing.”

I think the reason I find this so absolutely mortifyingly disgusting – and thus utterly fascinating – isn’t because of Ben Kingsley’s age but Mary-Kate’s. Or rather, the fact that she still looks like she’s 11 – albeit often dresses like she’s 82. I find the idea of her making out with anyone mildly nauseating because it looks like a horrendous crime is taking place.

And there’s something about the combination of a tiny little elfin girl who never talks shoving her tongue down the throat of a classically trained knighted actor that just doesn’t sit right with me. Which means I’m absolutely seeing this movie, to find out just how nauseatingly ill I can become. Exciting, no?
