Back in April, The New York Post began reporting that NBC coanchor and sports dude Tiki Barber had dumped his 8-months-pregnant wife Ginny, all for a young NBC intern that he was boning. Later, the NYP got some sources who claimed that Tiki and this girl, Traci, had been boning for two years, in what must have been the neverending internship/whore apprenticeship. Tiki also lavished her with gifts and was keeping Traci in style too. Anyway, Tiki recently gave an interview where he tried to “correct the record” on what really happened to his marriage. His take? He and 8-months pregnant Ginny were separated already when he and Traci started boning. Keep in mind that no one had filed papers or anything when the story broke – and Tiki and Ginny were still living together in their apartment.

Anyway, you knew this was coming: the little girl must have her voice! Traci the Mistress spoke to Crushable (via Page Six) about her relationship with Tiki, and she sounds just as dumb as you’d expect:

Tiki Barber’s girlfriend, Traci Johnson, insists she and the ex-Giant didn’t get together until he’d split with his wife of 11 years, Ginny, who was then pregnant with twins. She writes on crushable.com: “I knew that Tiki didn’t leave Ginny when she was eight months pregnant for me. I knew that his relationship had deteriorated before my relationship with him was even a thought in his mind.”

Traci said she was shocked to find herself on The Post’s front page when we broke the story in April. She recalls “crying to Tiki . . . begging him to . . . scream it from the top of 30 Rock, to simply tell the world the truth because I thought it was destroying me, him… Tiki sat me down . . . and said, ‘Nothing that I can say will change their perception.’”

She adds they enjoy watching rented movies “or enjoying an episode of ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman’ . . . you can find us at a cozy wine bar with friends or playing in a co-ed softball league.” Tiki and Ginny are still battling over their divorce settlement.

Remember when being someone’s mistress used to have a thin veil of class? It was before my time, but I always think of Maria Callas and Aristotle Onassis, who were lovers despite his first and second marriages. Maria rarely, if ever, spoke about him publicly, and their relationship seemed to have an upper-class elegance to it, even though we know now that they were both really messed-up people. A few months ago, we heard that former Giants running back and fired Today correspondent Tiki Barber had been cheating on his pregnant wife of 11 years with a 23 year-old intern he met at work. The NY Postclaimed that Tiki had been carrying on behind his wife’s back for two years. His wife was eight months pregnant – with twins – and in the hospital when Tiki (allegedly) told her he was leaving her for his mistress, of whom she supposedly had no inkling. Tiki also has two boys with her, an eight year-old and a six year-old. Tiki’s wife filed for divorce and instead of owning up to his actions and supporting her, the douchebag cried poor and tried to deny her spousal support. He did lose his job at NBC as a result of his poor performance and the hit to his image from this scandal.

Now Tiki is trying to rewrite his past and claim that he didn’t start seeing the 23 year-old until he was already separated. Tiki and his smug ass mistress went on Entertainment Tonight to try and set the record straight. Tiki hopes to keep things normal for his children. “My goal is to not have the kids suffer because of the failings of mine and my soon to be ex-wife.”

“I’m just a normal guy who had a job that people cared about, and maybe there is a standard to live up to that but it’s a hard one, for anyone,” he opined.

Tiki and his ex-wife, who announced their decision to split in April, have four children together.

The divorce papers were filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court Apr. 26 citing “adultery.” Tiki surprised his wife with news about his affair when he told her he was moving out last fall and into a midtown lovenest. Until, he dropped that bomb on pregnant Ginny, the former football star, who had spoken out about his own father’s philandering, had never dropped a hint to Ginny, that he was unhappy with their marriage, a source told Hollywoodlife.com.

It’s not surprising that NBC has suspended Tiki from his two jobs as a Sports and Today show correspondent after news about his scandalous behavior broke. Reports are surfacing that the Today show has fired Tiki but NBC and Tiki both will not comment.

Ginny is now home at her Upper East Side apartment and according to sources close to her, she’s very upset – no surprise.

“It’s been an emotional time for her,” says the source. “She is, of course, worried about the health of her unborn twins. It’s a lot to deal with and she is still being closely monitored by her doctors.”

At the beginning of this week, Page Six announced that NBC correspondent and former football star Tiki Barber had quietly split from his wife Ginny after 11 years of marriage. Then, just a few days later, The NY Post went into hyper drive and found out that Ginny was eight months pregnant with twins, and that Tiki had been carrying on an affair with a 23-year-old NBC intern named Traci. Now the Post has dug up even more about Tiki and his relationship with this girl, including that Tiki “lavished her with roses, jewelry and designer clothes.” They also have some gossipy sources telling all about Ginny’s feelings about this whole ordeal:

The ex-Giants star came clean to his unsuspecting wife late last year, admitting he was starting to shack up with a much younger blonde, sources said yesterday.

But Ginny Barber was “devastated” to learn Tiki began his torrid affair with temptress Traci Lynn Johnson much earlier in their marriage — and long before she became pregnant with twins.

“She had no idea what was going on. She had no idea about this relationship with Traci Johnson until he left in late November,” one source close to the Barber family said. “There were no [apparent] problems in the marriage.

“Ginny is devastated by this. All of this came out of the blue for Ginny. People may say, ‘How could she not know?’ But she really didn’t. Tiki is a guy who travels a lot.”

The Post yesterday revealed that Tiki began bedding Johnson as early as 2008, when she was a 21-year-old student at Mount St. Mary College, a Catholic school in upstate Newburgh.

Sources said the dapper running back lavished her with roses, jewelry and designer clothes — and that Johnson was not shy about publicly reveling in her illicit relationship with the married man.

Last Sept. 5 — at around the same time Ginny became pregnant with twins by Barber — Johnson posted a photo of Barber’s blue Maserati on Facebook, and called it her “Boyfriend’s whip” — slang for car.

Barber bought that exotic car in 2003, according to a Web posting by Maserati, which noted at the time, “Tiki is considered a model athlete, not only for his athletics, but for his clean living lifestyle.”

Sources told The Post yesterday that Tiki’s lucrative contract with NBC’s “Today” show — whose 10 a.m. hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford talked about the scandal yesterday — could soon end.

An NBC source said, “Barber signed with NBC for a lot of money, up to $2 million, which is a great deal more money than their other correspondents earn.

“But he proved to be a disappointment on screen, and he has recently been used less and less. His contract is up for renewal soon, and this is a good excuse to get rid of him.”

A “Today” rep refused to comment, but a source said, “Tiki Barber is currently a ‘Today’ show contributor.”

Barber’s agent, Mark Lepselter said, “Tiki has a contract with NBC, and I’ve heard nothing to the contrary.”

Lepselter also said that Barber — who in the past has fumed about how his dad abandoned him and his twin brother Ronde as kids– “hasn’t abandoned his family.”

“This guy is a very active father,” Lepselter said, noting that Barber spent his 35th birthday Wednesday playing sports with his and Ginny’s two sons, A.J., 7, and Chason, 6.

The Giants football alum has left Ginny after 11 years of marriage to be with former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson, 23, The New York Post reports. Tiki and Traci have been seen traveling together and sources say Traci accompanied Tiki to Vancouver where he was covering the Olympic games in February.

Ginny, who is expecting twins, reportedly found out about Tiki’s relationship with Traci late last year.

Tiki said in a statement, “After 11 years of marriage, Ginny and I have decided to separate. This decision was a painful one, but we are moving forward amicably and will continue to work together to raise our children with the love and dedication they have always known.”

Ex-Giants superstar Tiki Barber has dumped his 8-months-pregnant wife, Ginny, for sexy former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson, sources told The Post last night. The football star-turned-”Today” show-correspondent left his wife of 11 years, Ginny, for the 23-year-old blonde, who also worked at 30 Rock, the sources said.

Ginny, who is expecting twins, found out about the relationship late last year, after the run-around running back moved out of their Upper East Side home.

Johnson, a model-thin bombshell, was photographed sitting next to Tiki last month at a Washington, DC, screening of a documentary on Senegal that he hosted for the Travel Channel. Sources believe Johnson also accompanied Tiki to Senegal for the filming late last year, when Ginny was three months pregnant.

The affair is particularly stunning in light of Barber’s long-standing disdain for his philandering father.

“I don’t give a [bleep] that the relationship didn’t work,” he said of his parents’ split in a 2004 Post interview. “Not only did he abandon her, I felt like he abandoned us for a lot of our lives. I have a hard time forgiving that.”

Barber’s confidants were shocked.

“He was always the nice guy with a million-dollar smile,” a Barber family friend told The Post. “We were shocked to find out that he could walk out on his wife of 11 years while she’s pregnant with twins. He was with this girl in Senegal while Ginny was three months pregnant. And we believe she was also with him in Vancouver while he was blogging about the Winter Olympics for Yahoo.com.”

A Tiki Barber spokesman declined to comment.

Ginny is a former fashion publicist and full-time mom to the couple’s two sons, A.J., 7, and Chason, 6. She, too, declined to comment. But she’s been known to tout her caretaking role for Tiki.

“I’m sort of a traditionalist where I don’t mind taking care of him,” she said in a 2006 interview.

Johnson can be seen posing with a smiling gal pal in a pic on her MySpace page. The two are wearing red short shorts and Giants jerseys emblazoned with Barber’s No. 21.

Tiki and Ginny began dating 16 years ago when both were students at the University of Virginia. Barber, who turns 35 today, was hired by NBC just after he retired in 2007 — when sources say he first met Johnson, who was working there as an intern. In his 10-year NFL career, Barber set nearly every career offensive record for the Giants, and made three Pro Bowls. His end run on Ginny with the much younger Johnson runs counter to the all-American Barber persona that fans and TV viewers know. During Giants games, Tiki used to blow a kiss to Ginny in the stands every time he scored.

In his 2007 memoir, “Tiki: My Life in the Game and Beyond,” Barber described the example he wanted to set for his kids: “I want to be an honorable man, because that’s what I want them both to be,” he wrote, noting, “My family is everything to me.”

Sure, I think it’s douchey to cheat on your wife in general, but to do it when your wife’s pregnant? That takes a particular type of crusty a-hole.
