This week’s In Touch has a story claiming Sheryl Crow is furious at Jennifer Aniston for going out with a guy she used to date, their mutual friend Courteney Cox’s Cougar Town costar, Josh Hopkins. I doubt that In Touch knows anything other than the fact that Sheryl also costarred with Josh, but she might possibly be peeved that Jen is stepping in on her territory. From In Touch’s account, Sheryl and Josh are long over, but it does make Josh seem like he’s game for whichever female guest star shows up on set. He met Sheryl when she also worked on the show with Courteney. The photo In Touch uses with this story is one that was taken on set, though, and I couldn’t find anything to back up their claim that Sheryl and Josh were dating.
According to the insider, Sheryl didn’t find out about Jen, 41, and Josh until after they’d begun dating – and felt betrayed by someone she thought she could trust. Although Sheryl and Josh had only dated a few times, “She was shocked,” the insider shares. “She really likes Josh, and can’t understand why Jen would do something like this.” But she isn’t taking it lying down. The insider says Sheryl, 48, wasted no time asking Josh out again. And it’ll be up to him which friend comes out on top.

I doubt Sheryl asked this guy out again and this is probably the last we’ll hear of this story. Would you be annoyed at a friend if they dated your ex? I wouldn’t be too happy if it was someone I’d been with for a few years, especially if things ended badly or my friend didn’t give me the heads up. It might mean that I would continue to have to see him if I wanted to hang out with my friend. If it was just a casual date-type situation I probably wouldn’t care much if a friend hooked up with an ex. It could be awkward if you’d have to hang out with the both of them, though. I think that Sheryl and Jen have been friends long enough to not be bothered by something like this – if it’s true. Plus, according to Aniston’s rep/an “insider” she’s “going on dates with fun, interesting men!” It’s not like she’s going to get serious with this Josh guy.
Mild Cougar Town spoilers
People has new photos of Jennifer in character as the psychiatrist for Courteney’s character on Cougar Town. She looks really pretty and is sporting a kind of dressy Bohemian style. In one picture, she’s posing with a white pooch on a bench. I read a spoiler in this week’s US Weekly and I won’t give it away but the dog features prominently in the plot for that episode. It will air for the Cougar Town season two premiere on September 22. I would watch it, as much as that show bugs me.

I like Cougar Town and encourage anyone who watched it once in the beginning and thought it sucked to give it another chance. It’s a show that really started to gel towards the middle/end of last season. It’s not 30 Rock level of hilarity for me (but what is?) but I usually get a couple chuckles out of it.
I still maintain the name “Cougar Town” is god-awful though.

IF this is true, I think A)Aniston seems like the type to value friendship over men so she’d talk to Crow about it, B)Crow probably wouldn’t have an issue with it and C)if Crow did, Aniston wouldn’t continue.

I would think the only man that would provoke Sheryl Crow to get hurt over a close friend dating, would only be Lance Armstrong.
And that dog looks like a Jack Russell. One of the solid white ones. Which are not near as cute as my tri-color one. 🙂
And I agree about the show… it changed its direction about 9/10 episodes in… and stopped being about Cox bedding young guys. It became a great comedy about goofy neighbors terrorizing each other. With love of course.
Crow is a brilliant entertainer. Why does she hang with these saps? Aren’t there other 40 something attractive year olds to chill with. She came friends with Courtney first. I wonder how they even met?.

I’m so saddened by Courteney Cox’s face…she was such a natural beauty.
I am by no means a Jen fan but that sounds like a lame ass story to me the Chris dude who was married to her friend and who’s mom made a nasty comment about Jen was juicy but this seems like a non story.
I can smell Jennifer’s desperation through my computer screen. I have no idea why a talent like Sheryl would want to hang out with her.

The episode looks like it’s going to be an acting masterpiece. I mean, Aniston’s got the same expression in every scene except the one where she’s smiling. And bellebeesting, if she had real friends one of them should have told her about three years ago to move on. And if there is any truth to this or the Chris Gartin story then she also has no compunction about betraying her friends.
There’s not enough straight guys to go around Hollywood, so of course they’re bound to date each other’s exes.
Nice pictures, but the last pic is the car dented or is it the way it was taken? I liked her in Friends but I cringe at her on the big screen. She really should just stick to t.v., nothing wrong with that.

Beelebeesting. Yeah It’s great that Jen has friends to talk to about her interests- yoga, sunbathing,mixed drinks ,smoking,her hair and her exes.The important things in life. BTW AJ said she doesn’t have a lot of friends. So I wonder where the tabloids get all their “insider” info from, they claim from her friends,pals and buddies.Lastly Jen’s hair looks great.
@ coup de grazia: yeah, i stopped loving sheryl crow when she was with lance the bicycle douchebag, and they were everywhere, talking about their “perfect love” etc. she seemed really caught up in famewhoring and just so full of herself. then they broke up and she disappeared for awhile, evidently to re-program herself into being normal. now my sheryl crow love is back.

have you noticed their eyes…Aniston’s eyes actually lift when she smiles whereas Cox – well they look frozen..such a beautiful woman too bad that she needs to feel the need to freeze her face to stop the natural and beautiful aging process. Prior to having work done actresses should study Kidman photos of before botox and after botox

@skibunny. Ugghhh, wait, why are you on a website where the writer calls Tila Tequila a “hot tranny mess,” and says the like about celebs she’s never met either? And, you have no idea who a poster knows or doesn’t know. I’ve met many celebs. I used to work in Los Angeles. It doesn’t influence what I think about them as actors or the image they project. Cameron Diaz is as sweet as pie, but I don’t praise her or think she’s a great actress. My comment was about the photo style/look and about their acting. Some of the comments about other celebs I’ve read are SO much worse, calling some celebs fat, ugly, trannies, hos, or trashy. You might give them the “Why you hating? You must be a miserable person” shame lecture too, as I’m sure many of those posters have never met those celebs either 🙂

If you find the story boring don’t comment. If you think Jen’s ‘trying’ to become a movie star then you’re in denial….she is and has been a movie star for a long time.

You dont have to get so defensive. You have a right to your opinion but personally I think you’re just jealous. I dont always write the most flattering comments either but I dont rip a person to shreds.

@skibunny: I think people are referring to plastic surgery, hence, “stepford wife, plastic, robotic, etc.”. Plastic surgery makes people look vain and insecure = desperate.
I think Jen is vindictive, manipulative and vapid, but Courtney Cox seems like a nice woman and I STILL think she’s not looking good here.

Jennifer Aniston is not a movie star, her so call success comes from the fact that she has murfed herself into an image that most white people identify and respond to,blond and blue eyed
California sun kissed hair style, but can’t act to save her life. If she was a person of color after all those movie bombs at the box office and movies that goes straight to video store shelves she would have been bounced off the big screen long ago.

Also, take away Jens hair and you would be left with a not very pretty face. Its all in the hair. 😆 They must have a good hair stylist on that show, although some of Jens extensions look a bit obvious there.
