Let me preface this story by pointing you to this other article in which In Touch claimed that Julia Roberts was totally jealous of Sandra Bullock’s career and the fact that she’s still in high demand at 46 while Julia is fighting for recognition at 42. Now the National Enquirer has an article claiming that Jennifer Aniston, 41, is jealous of Sandy’s success and wants to follow the career example she’s set. She could start by trying to keep her private life under wraps instead of having her people issue statements about every date she goes on. It also wouldn’t hurt if she would try to play more than one character that she’s long since grown out of. Here’s part of the Enquirer’s story:
Jennifer Aniston wants a new career – the one that belongs to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock!
The former “Friends” star, whose past four movies have bombed at the box office, is locked in a one-sided competition with Hollywood hit queen Sandra.
“Jen is incredibly envious of Sandra’s life and career,” an insider told The Enquirer.
“She’s using Sandra as a template for her.”
Jennifer, 41, met with her agent and a team of handlers recently for crisis talks to discuss how to rebuild her career, says the insider.
“Jen hates that her personal life, especially her divorce from Brad Pitt, overshadows her film and TV work.
“Jen is frustrated that Sandra emerged stronger and more popular than ever after her marriage imploded while, five years after her big split, Jen is still struggling.

This could be creative fiction from The Enquirer like the In Touch story from a few weeks ago. Maybe it’s true though and Aniston is jealous of Bullock. Which actress wouldn’t be? I’m not buying the Enquirer’s claim that “Jen hates that her personal life, especially her divorce from Brad Pitt, overshadows her film and TV career.” She capitalizes on it every chance she gets so she can’t have it both ways.
You know why Sandra “emerged stronger and more popular than ever after her marriage imploded“? She didn’t talk about the infidelity or her ex other than in general positive terms and she specifically said she didn’t want people to feel sorry for her. Do I need to point out all the times that Aniston went about it the completely wrong way? Plus Sandra is just a more sophisticated person than Jen is. She has varied interests, she’s capable of speaking at length about them, and she’s a fine actress. I didn’t see much from Jen this past promotional tour other than what we’ve seen from her for the past ten years. Sandra is witty, warm and involved in charity. She’ll get more films because we like her and we’ll fill the seats to see her. It’s simple.
Oh – and as I was looking for photos I found these new pictures of Sandra outside a gay bar in LA last night! She looks tipsy and I love it.
Ah, she should be jealous of it. And SB is really 46? Wow. I thought she was maybe just 40/41.

while I would fully believe that Aniston is jealous of Bullock’s career, I do NOT buy that she “hates” Bullock or that Bullock “makes her sick”.

Sandra Bullocks career was in the ditch for a while before The Proposal and The Blindside.
Aniston, in mostly bad movies, seems like she is doing just fine in spite of that. She is everywhere, working quite a bit and wealthy. I don’t think she is suffering too bad.

That being said, another poster on a different thread about Jen mentioned that in her defense, she was good in Friends With Money and The Good Girl.
And she was right! I rented both this week from Netflix and was very pleasantly surprised at her good acting.
I previously thought she was only good in Office Space.
But Sandy will always kick Jen’s ass as far as likability, class, warmth, and the ability to be so down to earth and emotionally accessable to the average person.

I believe that Jennifer and even Julia Roberts are jealous in a small way but not in the “I hate her and wish I had her career” way. I think that this whole story is BS because since when has Jennifer wanted her personal life to take a backseat to a career? She shoves her personal and dating life down our throats everytime she can. Personally I think Jennifer is just dumb. How could anybody think that “Love Happens” and “The Switch” would be big hits and take her career to another level? Also her next few movies, Just Go With It, Bosses, etc don’t sound like they will move her to the A-list.
When you realize that Sandy and Demi are roughly the same age, it makes Demi seem even more desperate and delusional.
I’m a Jennifer Aniston fan but there really is no comparison between her and Sandra Bullock. JA is like your best college buddy that you go out and drink with, but she stayed single while you got married and had kids so you can only relate to her so much. Sandra Bullock is like your big sister that you look up to but is still goofy and fun and relatable and always has great advice.
I think Sandy is beautiful (47?!?) and seems like a great person, but I’ve never really understood the admiration about her acting. Never been impressed by it myself. Let the cyberwhooping begin…..

I think the jealousy is probably true to some extent. Jennifer could make a whole lot less movies, choose more carefully which movies to star in, and adopt a baby. IF SHE WANTED TO.
Keep in mind, Sandra Bullock wasn’t the first choice for a few of the movies she’s starred in lately that made money. Like The Blindside. I was under the impression Julia Roberts turned that movie (and maybe others) down first. So it seems that Sandra is good at knowing what will be popular and isn’t afraid to take others leftovers.
Sandra wins because she’s very likeable, keeps her personal life personal as best she can and has a life outside Hollywood, acting and whomever famous she’s dating.
What’s there to be jealous about? Only one of the two can act – and doesn’t take herself too serious – and the other is Jennifer Annison who peaked on the third season of Friends.
Jennifer said a few years ago ‘And next, the Oscar’. So of course she is jealous of Sandra.

Well duh, every actress out there is jealous of Sandra – she made a great comeback with 2 huge hits, won an Oscar and a bunch of other awards, made $50+ million in one year, has a lot of public support, seems happy now in her personal life after a bad situation, and is in very high demand for work.
I buy jealousy, but not the hate and whining stuff.
Jen’s career is what it is. She works a lot and makes good money, which for someone who’s not 25 anymore and is a capable but not astounding actress, is a pretty good place to be. I’m not all that interested in the work she’s been doing, so I just don’t go see it.
You know, Sandra is american sweetheart now, whatever she does, she’ll get a pass…. They feel bad for her personal life and happy for her that she’s moving on with her life….It sucks the way media favor one to another…

As said by the posters before me, Jennifer’s biggest mistake is trying to discuss her relationship failure with the public in hopes of gaining sympathy. Granted, she lost her husband to a bad broad, but she kept talking. Her career woes are also due to the fact that SHE ACTS THE EXACT SAME WAY in every role except for the part in Derailed! He mannerisms in film roles have not deviated far from her Rachel Days.
Sandra does not use her relationship woes to gain our sympathy, and she comes off more “normal”. We all know a girlfriend who is hurt, but really wants us not to worry about her! She doesn’t go the extra mile to make herself look like she won, because her daily actions show that she doesn’t care about winning or losing, just surviving and being happy.
Jennifer just wants to be seen as someone other than Brad Pitt’s ex who dated John Mayer…but that’s what SHE sold herself as…
While I do sense that Jen is probably insecure and jealous individual but I don’t believe for one moment that she’s jealous of Sandra. My intuition tells me that Jen wants to leave acting, get married and start a family pronto! I also feel that she would be very succesful if she started a natural product line — she’s got the business smarts to carrying it through. I predict that Jen will be engaged to you-know-who by Feb/2011, married and with two boys.
I don’t believe JenniferA is jealous of SandraB at all. Rather, I think she could admire Sandy’s success and wants to emulate it. But, unfortunately, Jennifer is not a movie actress. At best she’s a TV actress. I’ve tried to like Jen on the big screen but she does not translate well. She has acting limited range and seems to have difficulty with really loosing herself in a character. Sadly, her best was Rachel Green. Her on-screen successes have more to do with other things rather than her talent. Either wildly talented stronger co-stars or a decent plot. With Marley & Me, for example, the strength was that it was dog tale and had been a wildly successful for novel for years before it was made into a move. Any actress would have had success in that role. I like JenniferA but she needs see the truth and do what her friend CourtneyC has done. Know her true strengths (and weaknesses) and go back to TV or stay with being a successful produce. JMO

I think this story might be true. I watched the Golden Globes this year. Jen showed up w/Gerard Butler on her arm. They were smooching–obviously trying to start some dating rumors to sell that crap film. When Sandra won and gave her speech, the camera cut to Jen and Gerard. He looked drunk and out of it, but Jen had the cattiest look on her face. She wasn’t even hiding it. You could tell she wasn’t a fan. If looks could kill . . . 😉

I can’t believe someone thinks that Sandra Bullock is a good actress. I really like her in interviews, she’s very smart and funny. But in movies, she’s just average, sometimes even less than average.

Why are people talking about HATE. It says she hates the SITUATION, it does not say she hates Sandra.
Sandra didn’t play the victim like Jen has for the last 7 years to make people feel sorry for her. Sandra’s fans didn’t sling mud for media attention like Jen’s fans did after her divorce. It’s still ongoing. Sandra has confidence. Jen is insecure. Sandra changes her hair up, Jen can’t let go of her 90’s hair do. Sandra isn’t consumed with exercise and diets. Jen stays on diets/exercise & trys to find even more new ways to perfect her body. Having children changes you for the better. Sandra has a child. Jen is too selfish to bother with children or being a mother. Sandra plays movie roles that Jen wouldn’t consider. Jen wants only scripts that portray Jen as young and the guy chases her. Jen loves and keeps her money to spend on herself. Sandra gives to charity in the millions.
Sandra played out her misfortunes with dignity and class. Clearly, she is not a fame whore desperate for attention.
Notice that these photos of Sandra were truly candid. She wasn’t mugging like Jen does all the time.
Thats because Sandra can act, she’s not just one character. Jen played one good part that suited her and married well. Maybe she should just give it up and stop whinging about her life and be thankful that she has the life she has. Not everyone is so lucky! Only Jen can change that.
Jen needs to get a serious BF around her age if she wants to get past the Jolie/Pitt thing. The issue is that to the outside world it looks like she hasn’t moved on, and thats stalling her career too. I’m sure its not the case, but its the public perception. She has to change something up.

I think the Nat’l Enquirer made it up by fantasizing and sitting around guessing, and that it is 100% all true.
C’mon. Why would anyone believe what NE prints? The only reason Bullock is so loved right now is because of what Jesse James did to her. I’m sure a lot of people jumped on the fan wagon when this happened. SB & JA are both famous, rich and old. I doubt they even think about each other….

I never buy stories like this, where the insider sounds like they have no real inside information. It always sounds more like speculation from a two-bit tabloid writer. The reason they seem believable is because the speculation is no different from what you and I might conclude, like of course Jennifer would want Sandra’s career.
One thing that puts me off Celebitchy is that most articles are overly even-handed, and yet the tone in Jennifer Aniston articles is quite vicious. I’m no huge fan – she seems like a nice enough person, but her roles lately are woeful – but the willingness of CB to believe every negative thing about her (and dismiss similar speculation about Jolie as not credible) is a bit gross.

I watched Sandra in the Proposal not that long ago. The acting was so terrible I felt embarrassed for her. Sorry but I do not think she’s a great actress. And this story is probably made up.

Sandra is actually willing to humiliate herself for the joke she commits as opposed to Jen who is a sitcom actress and is too stilted on movie screens just a little to posey.
