In Touch Weekly has an interesting story about LeAnn Rimes this week. I guess I find it interesting because I’ve been wondering where LeAnn has been hiding the past few weeks, since the barrage of LeAnn/Eddie/Brandi Glanville stories this time last month. LeAnn has still been tweeting like a mad woman, of course, but it seems like since Brandi and Eddie sat down and hashed out some kind of agreement, everybody has taken it down a notch. Which is good. Of course, ITW has a theory as for why LeAnn has temporarily sidelined herself – she’s waiting, allegedly, for a big PR explosion towards the end of the year when she will announce her engagement to Eddie. If that’s not enough, ITW also claims they have eyewitnesses who saw her checking out home pregnancy tests at a Rite Aid. The pull quotes for the story say things like: “LeAnn cares so much about what the public thinks… she can’t wait to be Eddie’s wife and have his children” and “LeAnn has been very vocal about wanting Eddie’s baby.” Oh, it’s about to get raw.
LeAnn Rimes has been an open book about her love for boyfriend Eddie Cibrian, posting gushing updates almost daily on Twitter – until the past week when things went eerily quiet, shortly after LeAnn shot down rumors that Eddie had proposed. But a family insider says Eddie and LeAnn are engaged.
“When they were in Mexico in September, Eddie asked LeAnn to marry him,” the insider tells In Touch. “They live together, and LeAnn parents his kids with him, so she sees them as married already.”
But now she wants to make it official. On November 22, LeAnn snuck into Neil Lane to pick out her own ring. If Eddie had his way, a source explains, he’s “get it from Polacheck’s Jewelers in Calabasas – he grew up with Brent Polacheck.” But LeAnn wants to do it her way.
Also, LeAnn is “finally ready to start a family,” says a friend. While her rep says, “LeAnn has never shopped at a Rite Aid in Calabasas,” she was seen browsing the pregnancy test aisle at Rite Aid in Calabasas wearing a hat and sunglasses.
According to the friend, the couple recently sat down with Brandi to discuss how to co-parent their boys going forward.
“Their plan is to announce their engagement between Christmas and New Year’s. So it could happen at any moment.”

I love the part about her picking out her own ring – I’ll buy that, a million times over. Not only is LeAnn picking out her own ring, she’s paying for that sucker too! I also love this: “Eddie would get it from Polacheck’s Jewelers in Calabasas – he grew up with Brent Polacheck.” Eddie knows one random jeweler, and LeAnn is all “Oh hells no my ring isn’t going to be some budget sh-t.”

Of course they are going to announce their engagement for the 5th time because she has a song coming out. What good is an engagement if you can’t promote a record?
I undertand she tweets between 150-200 times a day. Given that she receives 5 or 6 tweets for every one she sends, she’s sending/reading close to 1,000 tweets per day and those don’t include her private tweets. That works out to a tweet every 45 seconds for ten hours per day. Her assistant has to be doing most of the tweeting to BS her fans.
I so agree with all of this. Leann is uncharacteristically quiet….she is ready to explode with her engagment/holiday/baby announcements. We all know that she will pick out & buy her own ring (Eddie only has play $$).

I really don’t like her and what she stands for. She showed what kind of person she is when she went after a married man (when both she and EC were already married to good people) and then lied about the whole affair. US outed the whole affair and what unfaithful, liars they are.
Now with her album dropping, she did (or had someone) doing some active campaigning for her to get that Grammy nomination (that she doesn’t deserve) and I wouldn’t be surprised if she does have some big announcement coming up. Just to draw attention to herself and her new album. I don’t support her anymore and wish she would just disappear.

I didn’t know about the Grammy nomination until now. My God, she bought that too. No way a country song that doesn’t sell in the top 200, doesn’t make radio play, and is totally rejected by country music fans is eligible for a Grammy unless she bought it. The Grammies have hit a new low in selling their credibility.
Consider Eddie’s plight for a moment. Eddie got into this mess with the promise of private jets on luxury vacations, prime time TV roles, rubbing elbows with big stars and powerful casino executives, all the while LeAnn was whispering in his ear about leading roles on the big screen and her connections with Bruickheimer.

Not defending this fool, but I did pick out my own engagement ring. My feeling was that whatever ring I got I would be wearing for the rest of my life, and there are some styles I just don’t like. My hubby agreed with that philosophy, so he took me out one day to look at rings so he would know what I do and do not like. He then bought a beautiful one for me that is exactly my style. 21 years later I’m still wearing it and still loving it.
That’s the only way she got a Grammy nom….she bought it (or Darrell got it for her).

When I read the list of Grammy nominees I actually laughed when I saw her name b/c I knew there would be all kinds of hate and conspiracy theories for why she was nominated.
If she’s doing interviews she’s a witch, if she’s laying low and being nice then she’s planning something. I really think people love to hate her and will come up with reasons for anything “good” that happens to her. What is funny are the comments about how much she is on Twitter, but yet there are people (not here) that dissect the meaning of her comments. Who has that much time? And who cares that much? The publicist lied. Do these people actually think before they issue their denials? I am starting to think that Leann surrounds herself with people who tell her exactly what she wants to hear, no matter how absurd it is. If the publicist is going to deny that Leann has shopped at a Rite Aid in Calabasas, then he/she should have gotten rid of those photos first. So now her own publicist comes off looking like a major liar. And then Leann can’t understand why no one believes a thing that comes from her and EC.

The first time I ever saw Leann posting about that movie was right after BG tweeted about it. Leann also started tweeting about Burlesgue right after BG mentioned it on her twitter page.
This is Leann we are talking about. And as we have seen time and time again because Leann has provided plenty of photo-ops, Leann tends to dress and even wear her hair like BG. So it’s not about two women wanting to see a rom-com. It’s about Leann wanting to pattern her life after BG. Didn’t EC propose to BG around New Year’s Eve? So how strange that Leann also wants EC to propose to her at around that same time. You would think that Leann would want an engagement/proposal date that isn’t so close to the day and time that EC proposed to his ex-wife. So does Leann engagement date fall so close to the day that EC proposed to BG because LR is trying to SWF BG or did she pick this engagement date so that it coincides with her single release on itunes? Or could it be a little of both?

It’s a gossip rag and half that stuff is made up. More than half. Come on, people, you comment on every sentence in this story like it’s gospel. The only true part is I’m sure they will be engaged in a few months. And most of my friends, including me, pointed out the type of ring we wanted stylewise through magazines or while passing a jewelry shop. It’s going to be on my hand the rest of my life. I want some say in it.

Well it seems silly what we say about LeAnn but if you’re not aware of her history and the lengths she’s gone then really you couldn’t possibly understand where we are coming from. Who went on and pretended that nothing happened? AJ and Alicia K received backlash. The major difference when these cheaters is that they knew when to leave well enough alone. Yet again, I don’t recall Alicia Keys and AJ ever tweeting inappropriate things about another woman’s kids and then inviting the paps to the kid’s soccer game whenever she knows that the kids’ mother can’t make it to the game.
It also looks like LR and EC are trying to get famous by making those two kids into public figures. Now EC has those kids wearing the same type of hats he is wearing because he is tries to “shield” those kids from the nature of tabloids.
You can always tell when EC and LR are promoting someting for their careers because they stage those “happy family” photo-ops with the kids.
