Last Saturday, I posted photos of Michael Fassbender out and about in London with Bradley Cooper (they’re friends) and a “mystery woman” who bore a strikingly resemblance to Zoe Kravitz. Well, the Fass-lunatics identified her immediately as Louise Hazel, a British Olympian/ Heptathlete. So, Fassbender is now dating a woman who is crazy-athletic and has abs of steel? Probably. Us Weekly confirms that Fassy is dating Louise now and that while he’s working in Montreal (on X-Men: Days of Future Past), he and Louise are doing the long distance thing:

There’s no Shame in his game! Michael Fassbender is romancing British Olympian Louise Hazel, sources confirm to Us Weekly exclusively. The 36-year-old actor and the 27-year-old heptathlete were spotted spending time with Fassbender’s pal Bradley Cooper in London on Friday, May 24.
The trio dined at the trendy Wolseley cafe in Piccadilly before heading to The Bulgari Hotel in Kensington, where the couple stayed until 1 a.m.

“They are dating,” a source says of Fassbender and Hazel. “Michael has been talking to her while also filming X-Men: Days of Future Past in Montreal. He comes back to London to see her.” (Hazel placed 27th during the London Olympics in 2012.)

Fassbender was most recently linked to his Shame costar Nicole Beharie, though the actress announced their breakup via Twitter in January. Prior to that relationship, the German-Irish actor dated his X-Men: First Class costar Zoe Kravitz from 2010 to 2011.

In a February 2012 British GQ cover story, Fassbender admitted his love life has often taken a backseat to his burgeoning career. “I’m quite a romantic person and I love the idea of having a family. But I’d have to take a step back out of this. It’s not fair on somebody to be waiting for you. You spend long periods of time apart and then when I am here, I’m working,” he explained. “I find it difficult to do both and to give that other person the right amount of attention and time that they deserve.”

Fassbender added that he values a woman with intelligence and self-confidence. “If a girl is slightly overweight, or, you know, if she’s comfortable in herself, living life the way she wants to live it, I find that sexy and attractive,” he told the magazine. “If somebody is the perfect mold, but she’s not enjoying herself, then I find it sad and unsexy.”

Fassy lives in London, so it’s not like they’re trying to make a crazy long-distance thing work where they both live permanently in different cities. He lives in London, she lives in London. He has to travel a lot for work though. And more often than not, he seems to want his ladies to travel to see him while he’s working (and not the other way around). So, while I’m excited that Fassy went outside of the normal “actors dating actors/models” box to find a Heptathlete Olympian girlfriend, I’m kind of not expecting this to work out in the long run. Plus, I just checked Louise’s Twitter – she’s funny and she tweets about her afro a lot – and I’m pretty sure that she’s still training. Like, she wants to go to Rio in 2016. Are the Rio Olympics more important than boning Fassbender? Probably. But I’m sure he’s a really fun workout. Probably the most amazing workout ever. Remember, this is a man who talks about sex by saying things like “I’m aware of my weaknesses and the beast within” and “that’s no guarantee that I’m not going to go crazy and destroy the sweetshop.” BEST WORKOUT EVER.
