Miley Cyrus doesn’t care if you call her a ‘lesbian’ just not an ‘ugly’ one

Miley Cyrus

Here are photos of Miley Cyrus with her dog, Mary Jane (har har), out for a walk on Sunday afternoon. Miley was wearing a hoodie and didn’t flip the tongue to any of the paparazzi. I’m amazed she didn’t flip the bird since she’s been known to yell the c-word at paps and brag about it on Twitter. Miley has begged for attention in so many ways but had the nerve to invoke Princess Diana’s death while tweeting about the trials of being famous. Basically Miley only wants attention when it benefits her, which is typical for spoiled Hollywood brats.

Well Miley wasn’t pleased with seeing the paparazzi on Sunday. She told them to suck her emoji.

That’s not the only thing Miley’s complaining about, but sometimes she does have a point:

If you ever look at the responses to some of Miley’s tweets, she receives some truly outrageous replies from disgusting people. Miley is the target of gross sexual innuendo; I hope she ignores it, but I don’t think she’s able to resist obsessing over Twitter. Lots of people do lob the word “lesbian” at her too, and I’m glad Miley’s speaking up about how she does not consider that to be an insult. Good on Miley. For once.

You now it’s only a matter of time before Miley grows irritating once again. Like when she giggles and smokes pot next to her mom at a party. Yep, she’s trashed the goodwill already.

It’s been so nice the past few weeks without her all up in everyone’s face ALLL THE TIME.

  2. Lucy says:

I totally agree. Lesbian is not an insult. Being called ugly is.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I think it depends on the intention of the name-caller. If someone honestly thinks I’m a lesbian, I’m not insulted. I think it’s good that she says she’s ok with that. But these people are calling her a lesbian because they think that’s a bad thing to be. So they may not be insulting her, but they are insulting the lesbian community. I sort of got lost in my own logic there, but I think I had a point somewhere.

        I followed you.

        true

I think she makes a good point. The assumption is that because she cut her hair short and changed her style she can be called ugly dyke. Its more to do with fitting into acceptable standards of female beauty. No one called her ugly gay when she still had long hair and was somewhat more meek in her behaviour and had some beefcake hanging off her arm. I actually find this to be one of her more mature and lucid moments.

I don’t think I’ve ever called someone a lesbian as an insult, that’s ridiculous. And can I just say, if I smoked a j around my mom (even today) she would probably jerk a knot in my butt. (this would never happen cause I respect my mom too much and our relationship is not like that)

    • Lauraq says:

I must confess I’ve gotten high around my mom (I was 24 at the time). She thought it was hilarious because the stuff was super potent and I basically melted into my chair with a huge grin on my face.

  4. Liv says:

Where’s her other dog? This girl has too many dogs to handle.

  5. Elisabeth says:

    the ‘U’ word
    what is she? 12?

    • Amy Tennant says:

I think she’s making a point, that the word “lesbian” isn’t offensive, so she overemphasizes the offensiveness of “ugly.” . At least that’s how I took it; she may not have put that much thought into it.

    • msw says:

its Twitter, she may have just been abbreviating

    • Itsa Reallyme says:

      Mentally and emotionally? Yes.

  6. Nicolette says:

‘Miley is the target of gross sexual innuendo’. Poor baby, then maybe she shouldn’t create so much gross sexual innuendo.

    • crab says:

@Nicolette, you took the words right out of my mouth!!

    • Leila in wunderland says:

People call her a slut, wish rape and death on her, and accuse her of committing incest with her dad. They say other stuff too, but I don’t think I need to elaborate. My point is that if you feel she deserves that, that says more about you as a person than it does about her.

  7. Mark says:

How can she of all people complain about paparazzi? All the attention she bring on herself and someone taking her pictures cheeses her off? Her mothers is just like lindsay lohans trying to be down with the kids. She needs parenting not a best friend ,or a yes person. It’s the same trend we see in child stars e.g. Bieber and Lohan no discipline is their downfall.

    • Leila in wunderland says:

I know what you mean. Allowing your offspring to smoke pot and be sexual on their own terms is clearly horrible parenting.

  8. Hateonit. says:

She doesn’t scream lesbian to me.
I’d never call her that. Or anyone who wasn’t one in the realistic way of course. Lesbian isnt or shouldnt be an insult. its something that you are or you are not. like short or tall. But she does scream the “U” word to me….can’t stand that face….blech >.<

  9. Patricia says:

What’s wrong with her smoking weed around her mom? She’s a grown adult. I don’t think anyone would have any problem with her drinking wine around her mom, and yet alcohol is far more destructive than weed.
People, it’s 2014. Get over the weed stigma, it’s uneducated and outdated to think that weed is any real problem.

    • msw says:

thank you. our public fear of pot is bizarre. (I’m not even a user, but totally pro legalization.)

    • Jill says:

Because wine doesn’t fill a room with secondhand smoke.

      • Patricia says:

Jill there are no toxins in secondhand smoke from weed, weed is not cigarettes. There has never in history been a single death attributed to weed. Have you been around weed ever? Yes it’s a little stinky but dissipates quickly and is not a health concern.
This is what I’m talking about with people who are in no way educated about weed acting like weed=crack or weed=cigarettes.
My dad has been smoking weed daily for 45 years, he couldn’t be in better health. I was a daily weed smoker before getting pregnant and will go back to it once my baby is born. Weed is not harmful to the body.
In my family there are also alcoholics and they are unwell, unhealthy and disfunctional. I really think society needs to be far more concerned with alcohol.

    • Patricia says:

Hahaha BQQ where in my post do you see any loss of mental function? Yes I use pot which, if YOU had the proper mental function to adequately read my post, you would have understood.
I also hold two degrees and a teaching certification, and happen to be very intelligent. Thanks for proving my point that people who have an issue with pot are simply uneducated.

    • Leila in wunderland says:

Exactly. What’s so bad about her openly smoking pot next to her mom and in public? People smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol in public and with their parents. Billy Ray used to smoke weed, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Tish has done it too.

  10. msw says:

that’s rich. Miley has no problem stigmatizing other people, as long as she thinks it’s something that’s okay to trivialize.

appreciate her support of the LGBT+ community and agree with the sentiment about the word “ugly,” but a little bit more follow through in other parts of her life would be nice.

    • Leila in wunderland says:

The only case where I’ve seen her stigmatize anyone is with the Sinead O’Connor thing. Miley stigmatized her, Amanda Bynes, and the mentally ill….. right after Sinead stigmatized her, (Miley), prostitutes, men, and women who are ‘immodest’ in dress and dance.

The sad thing about the Sinead/Miley feud is that neither woman thought she was doing anything wrong. Neither of them saw the bigotry that they both publicly perpetuated. The other sad thing is that so many people who saw the feud were okay with one of the bigotries, but called out the other. People realize that it’s not okay to stigmatize someone for having a breakdown, but they don’t realize that it’s not okay to scarlet letter women for not being ‘sexually modest’, to stigmatize prostitutes, to perpetuate the virgin whore dichotomy, or to blame women for sex crimes committed by men.

  11. Zigggy says:

I’ve had “ugly d*ke” yelled at me- same thing, the d*ke park didn’t bug me (though it was meant to, and I’m not even gay” but ugly always stings 😉

  12. QQ says:

No Honey, No…. Seriously stop flapping your gums about looks, please, i promise you you are stadiums less attractive than you think you are, as it stands: Skinny is what we can unequivocally give you

  13. Sisi says:

idk… isn’t ‘paps suck a fat d*’ also supposed to be offensive? Most paparazzi are male. Isn’t she just calling them a bunch of homo’s in the negative way 40 minutes after saying that lesbian is a positive word?
I’m not trying to insult anyone, but trying to see her logic… or the revolting lack there of

    • Brittaki says:

I don’t think so…telling someone, male or female, to suck whatever creative verbal variation on the male organ you prefer is a colloquial insult that I’ve never considered to have homophobic connotations, except maybe if one takes it further and in a different direction than she did. It’s not tasteful at all, that’s for sure, but I don’t think it’s fair to suggest she was being homophobic in choosing her words.

  14. Dreamyk says:

UGLY! There. It’s been said. Piss off, Miley.

  15. JenniferJustice says:

Seriously? There is nothing interested about a person whose sole purpose to garner attention – good or bad and to make false claims simply to shock or incite emotion. I would never call her a Lesbian because she’s not one and because it would be a blemish on lesbians as a whole. I would however call her a narcissistc, amoral, vain, and yes….ugly…repulsive actually.

    • Leila in wunderland says:

How do you know that she is amoral, though? Maybe her morals just don’t match yours.

  16. Leila in wunderland says:

I think it’s normal for celebrities to want attention when they want it, but to be irritated about it when they don’t want it. I would be the same way. I would do some attention-seeking as a celebrity, because that’s a way to further or maintain one’s career, but at the same time I would be annoyed about not being able to go places without cameras, and I wouldn’t want people knowing where I am most of the time. I see why people get annoyed about celebrities whining about the paparazzi, though. That’s the price of fame.

  17. Maria says:

Maybe she should just give up the stupid Twitter account? I know I would just to spare myself the aggravation.

  18. MavenTheFirst says:

She’s the subject of “gross sexual innuendo”?

Isn’t she also the purveyor of “gross sexual innuendo”?
