Evans finds himself ripe for dating rumors as the only single Avenger. Jeremy Renner may soon count as single too, although his current situation is messy. Over the past few months, Chris has been set up with a mystery girl at Disneyland, Lindsey McKeon and a doggy bag, lingerie model Lucy Pinder, and his “not a date date” at the Oscars. (That last lucky lady’s name is Tara Testa – she and Chris are childhood buds.) Now Us Weekly says Chris has a hot new love, actress Lily Collins. They met at the Vanity Fair Oscar party and have been enamored ever since. Huh?

A source tells Us that the pair first met at Vanity Fair’s star-studded Oscars party last month. At the time, Evans, 33, looked dapper in a midnight-blue Gucci tux. Phil Collins’ daughter, meanwhile, showed up with a new pixie cut and looked glam in a shimmering black Zuhair Murad Couture gown.
“It’s just the beginning stages,” a second insider tells Us. “But they’re having a lot of fun and seeing where it goes.”

I do like Lily. She has a realistic attitude about nepotism and seems chill. Is she really dating Evans? He’s usually very tight lipped about relationships. If they’re dating, they probably haven’t spent much time together since the Oscars. Chris has attended charity functions solo (as pictured in the gallery) and visited sick kids while dressed as Cap. Lily spent several days at Paris fashion week. She doesn’t seem like Chris’ usual type (which he’s been very outspoken about), but this could be real. And who knows? Maybe Chris’ camp wanted to shut down those Lucy Pinder rumors.

She’s one of those people they keep trying to make “happen” and it’s just not going to take. To be honest, her best chance at long-lasting fame IS hooking up with a better/ more popular actor.
I hear you, I feel like she’s been an up and coming actress for like five years now, I did enjoy that movie she did with Sam Claflin though, but I agree that she’s really nothing special.
That story is complete bullsh*t, just in time for the Avengers promo tour. Chris Evans actually skipped the annual Vanity Fair Oscars party back in February where they supposedly met. He then spent the next few weeks between Boston, London, Los Angeles, Myrtle Beach (partying with his bros), Seattle and Atlanta (because he’s about to start shooting Captain America: Civil War) while Lily Collins got papped almost every single day around LA and in Paris (alone).
Also the mystery girl at Disneyland is Lucy Pinder (she confirmed it on her Twitter that day) and she’s only “dating” one of his close friends. Lesson being don’t believe everything you read unless you see some pictures as proof.
Yeah, in the past, he was photographed at the VF parties. This year, nobody managed to get a picture of him? I find that hard to believe. I don’t think he was there. He’s been pretty much photographed at every event this year so far. He was even spotted at a Golden Globe after party, and he didn’t even attend the actual ceremony. If these two are having fun together, it must be through Skype or something.
I agree. I watched about 20 minutes of Abduction, and her acting was awful. But so was Taylor Lautner’s. Saw the trailer for Mortal Instruments, and she was awful. She should either take some acting lessons, or focus on being a face model. She does have a pretty face. However, being a beard to some famous guy will also bring her attention.
She was quite good in a movie with Greg Kinnear called Stuck in Love. Actually, I gained respect for her when I saw that one and realized she has talent.
I get pure ingenue vibe off of this actress. I don’t get a sense of her developing any substantial career longevity unless she goes the serious indie route or does some serious high profile work on a cable series.
I’m trying hard to remember if I’ve seen her in anything, but she’s so bland that I’m blurring her with all of the other similar looking girls of her type.
Lily is known for PR relationships. Chris’ camp barely acknowledged his relationship with Minka. I don’t foresee him confirming any type of relationship THREE weeks into it. Plus, I know she will be 26, but she looks like his kid sister. Kudos to her for not looking her age, though. I don’t buy this relationship, and I don’t see how “having fun” with a 20-something actress is better than being linked to a glamour model.
You’re actually right, I remember her supposedly dating Zac Efron around the timing of his coke addiction scandal and then again with Taylor Lautner when they had a movie to promote, and then again with her Mortal Instruments costar when they were promoting that one.
I agree. This PR set up is so transparent, I actually have secondhand embarrassment for both of them… Especially Chris. He doesn’t really need the press, so I’m not sure why he would agree to this.
It is embarrassing, because they met three weeks ago. It’s like a high school girl proclaiming she’s in love with the football captain, and that she’s going to marry him after one date. There’s no need to publically announce you may be dating or “having fun” with someone after three weeks. It is so try hard. But yeah, Lily IS the PR relationship queen. She probably took the opportunity and ran with it. This doesn’t look good for Chris either.
I don’t know but they might in fact be dating. I read on tumbl.r that CE brother and one of his long time friends started following Lily on IG about a week ago. So maybe the 3 weeks they have been “together” do match up. Plus, OK mag had a bit more of news and said they were seen holding hands at the Sunset Marquis but once they saw the paps they went in separate directions. If they are in fact dating kudos to Lily. She’s got a fine man.
Even though she isn’t actually 20, the fact that she looks that age kind of makes this a bit creepy. If they’re ever out together he’s gonna look so much older than her and (like you said) like her big brother.

I agree she looks her age. If there is one thing I have learned it in life, it is that people are notoriously awful at telling ages. When you have neotenic features, people automatically assume you are younger, but skin never lies. Her features are very soft, but I can tell that she is mid-twenties.

I disagree. I am 28 soon to be 29 and i know plenty of people in their mid 20s and late 20s. To me she looks normal. my friend teaches high school kids and she looks older than 17 year old kids And all the high school kids i see waiting for the school bus.

I strongly suspect someone saw them talking to one another at that party (was he even there, though? Never saw photos of him), and a tabloid ran with it as a story. I think they’d make a cute celebrity couple, but it doesn’t seem like they’d have time to be more than a hook-up at this point, as someone else mentioned, he’s been all over with charity stuff this past month. There’s nothing wrong with hooking up, either. If you’re single, have all the fun you want. Not everything has to end in a fairy tale.
When Chris dated Minka, nothing was confirmed by “sources” until a month AFTER they were spotted out on dates. Lily and Chris haven’t even been seen together and “sources” are making them a thing. Nessa, this theory actually makes a lot of sense. If this PR romance was just Liliy’s idea then he could have shot it down already with a one sentence remark to some camera/paparazzi like “Nah, buddy. Just a rumor.” He tends to do that coming out of clubs (check PopCandiesTV youtube videos with him in it. He’s very nonchalant and sometimes talkative with them).
Seeing as his team seems to accept this fake story so far I am inclined to say it’s a joint statement of both teams for publicity. If what you say is true (he won’t be able to join Ultron promotion that much) a showmance with a bland and non-controversial* actress makes so much sense.
*I think her team didn’t disclose she has had some bearding contracts before! That doesn’t make it look very professional.

Honestly they’d look so ridiculous together, kind of like Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse or Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence. For someone who claims to hate fame, paps and girls who are so la-di-da, once again Chris is sniffing for more trouble than he can handle with this one.

But today a thread about him being single with a few slightly less positive comments about the US Weekly piece went up in a cloud of smoke. Who’s deleting threads like that there? I agree with you Cate, his imdb is highly patrolled by his PR, which is kind of off putting. I hear Chris often mention imdb so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to keep it professional and leave out the personal stuff. That’s also what makes me think PR is trying to make this couple happen. Perhaps that’s the difference between Chris and Cumby. At least Chris isn’t bordering on becoming the internet’s BF and being harassed by a bunch of crazed fan girls.
