God I can’t wait to see my fave. On the big screen again

  2. Mia4S says:

Unless you’re somewhere where you can tear up or have a cry do NOT read that Big Bird story! Trust me.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

I just read it, I think I will be crying all weekend. Just no words.

      • wiffie says:

Watching TV with my 2 year old daughter as I read that big bird story, and of course the tears started pouring down my face. She asked me if I have a baby in my tummy again. Don’t know what to think about that. But the story is beautiful and sad and sweet. So many tears…

    • jugstorecowboy says:

Tears running down my face, I think I’m scaring my own kids though.

      • Hudson Girl says:

Can you guys give an anesthetized bulletpoint explanation?
I’m chicken sh!t when it comes to feelings and won’t watch or read something I know is sad.
        But, now I’m curious…

      • Hudson Girl says:

Ok forget it. I caved out of curiosity and now regret it. Sad.

      • Norman Bates' Mother says:

For those scared to click – that story is about a dying 5 year old. Don’t click if you don’t want to cry. I couldn’t finish reading.

      • judyjudyjudy says:

Thank you for pointing out this story. It is beautiful and lovely…though you bet I cried.

    • Ktae87 says:

Right in the feels………….talk about a tear jerker

    • lolamd says:

      still crying…..

    • MsMercury says:

I read it last night with a huge warning before reading and I still cried. That story broke my heart.

    • Tiffany :) says:

      Oh my aching heart.

    • Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

I’m probably a little less impacted by it than some of you guys because I’ve often thought about what it would be like to be the parent of a dying child. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the courage and heart of the parents and kids who have to go through that ordeal. I’m a deeply cynical bastard who isn’t easily impressed but I have the upmost respect and admiration for them.

      • Carmen says:

My cousin’s baby girl has undergone surgeries for multiple heart deformities. She is not even a year old yet. Her condition is touch and go. My cousin and her husband are only in their early 20s. They had to spend Mothers Day visiting their baby in the hospital. I can’t begin to imagine what they must be suffering. All I can do is pray for them and their little one.

  3. Catelina says:

This release date is a good sign that a universal thinks the movie is good enough to be a potential awards player. I’m becoming more and more optimistic about its quality. Can’t wait for the promo junket- maybe another photo shoot? Some festival appearsnces? Bring on all of it.

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

      @Boopybette …

Wow … that photo is intense. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  4. Lama Bean says:

The big bird story is a tearjerker.

How are we not discussing Lance Bass and Andy Cohen hooking up????

    • Catelina says:

What?!! that’s gossip gold. Is this for real?

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

I read about that–I’m in the dark, because I have no clue why it’s a big deal. Someone bring me up to speed. And also–I thought it was kinda tacky to say, but that’s just me.

    • mia girl says:

Andy Cohen was asked who was the most famous person he’d had sex with. He answered “Lance Bass, I guess”

      Here is Bass’ response:
“First of all, I’m not going to tell you what I do in the bedroom,” Bass prefaced. “Sex is a broad term…like ‘Andy banged Lance’ — when did he ever say that? This is an old story. Three years ago we told everyone we hooked up…Now it’s getting into who did who? I can just tell you right now, there was no Andy D going in my B.”

      • Rocket says:

Lance has some serious issues with coming off as “too gay”. Like hes obsessed with pushing his masculinity upfront, so its no surprise hes afraid to be thought of as the “receiver” during sex which I guess follows since Andy is according to trusted newsman Anderson Cooper strictly a “giver”.

      • Kiddo says:

I can’t stand Andy Cohen. If I were a gay man, I would deny it too.

  5. lisa2 says:

That is a good release date.. my calendar is marked. Wouldn’t miss this one.

  6. Jegede says:

That feels fast. It was like the movie was only being filmed last month.
UK release will probably be later than this.

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

It was last summer/fall, right? It does seem like they just filmed it though, lol.

    • jen2 says:

They started filming it right after they got married, so that would be August 2014, so, not fast at all. It is a good release date and maybe there will be some fall festival action.

And in the Universal press release, it is Angelina Jolie Pitt. I think it will take folks time to call her that since she did not make a big deal of it, no official press release like others.

      • Catelina says:

Speaking of the name, is she Angelina Pitt now and Jolie is back to being her middle name as it was before she dropped Voight? Or are we meant to say Angelina Jolie-Pitt the way her kids are named?

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

        @Catelina
I think that it’s her last name……if it were supposed to be hyphenated, it would be hyphenated. It’s Angelina Jolie Pitt. Personally, I think she took his last name, since she doesn’t technically have a last name–I know Jolie is/was her legally changed last name, but you know what I mean?

    • lisa2 says:

It will open a year after it was shot. So not too fast at all.

  7. BNA FN says:

I’m a big fan of Brad and Angelina and I’m going to see this movie. It has been a long time coming. I just love their chemistry on screen and in real life.

  8. Anne says:

I guess the studio is optimistic about the film. Is it just me or did anyone else side-eye their choice to co-star in a film that Angelina was also writing and directing?

    • Catelina says:

It is certainly a gamble on their part, but I tend to admire the penchant for risk taking. It makes things more interesting as a fan. I just hope it’s good.

      • Camille (The Original) says:

I hope its good too, I have concerns that it won’t be…

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

It’s definitely a risk. If it works out to make a great movie, no harm, no foul. But if it doesn’t……..it’ll be seen as another vanity project, even if neith of them meant to come off that way.

  9. Tara says:

Won’t be able to see them onscreen as anyone other than Brad and Angelina.

  10. katP says:

I freaking LOVE Lizzy Caplan. And that dress looks fantastic on her.

  11. prissa says:

YAY!!! I can hardly wait!!!!!!!! I am really interested in seeing this movie. I’m sure it will make loads of money at the box office.

  12. Kiddo says:

Anyone watching the end of days on Letterman? I saw the Tina Fey show and a few others. I’m only watching since the end is nigh, but Martin Short, who I don’t usually like, was pretty funny, Ray Romano a little too gushy, Tina Fey looked entirely uncomfortable in her spanx gear. I definitely want to see the last show.

  13. Emma - the JP Lover says:

I just found out that Angelina Jolie Pitt owns a production company called Jolie Pas Productions, LLC. How did I miss this? The production company produced “Unbroken” and is listed as the production company for “By the Sea.” Well, well Ms. Jolie Pitt … you go, girl! 🙂 I just love how she keeps her sh$t close to her vest, so to speak. Jolie Pas Productions, LLC was formed in 2003.

    • Sally Tomato says:

She is nowhere near the first nor will be the last to set up her own production company. I can appreciate your admiration but this isn’t a novel concept.

      • lisa2 says:

I don’t think she said it was a novel concept. I knew about her Production myself for a few years. Fansites had this info. I think many celebrities set up Production companies. But the thing is what comes out of them if anything. She is obviously using her power to back the projects she wants and get the financing to do the things she wants to do. That for women in Hollywood is not the norm. So I too applaud her and hope she continues producing as well as Directing.

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Sally Tomato, who wrote: “She is nowhere near the first nor will be the last to set up her own production company. I can appreciate your admiration but this isn’t a novel concept.”

I know Angelina Jolie Pitt isn’t the first actress or actor to start their own production company, nor did I imply it. I was simply surprised to find out’ she’s had a production company all these years and I never knew it … which I guess makes the knowledge ‘novel’ to me. 🙂

  14. LAK says:

They look really good in the above pictures.
