Kim Kardashian gave birth to Baby Boy Kardashian-West 3 weeks early

wenn22816692

Our long national nightmare is over: Kim Kardashian finally gave birth. This has definitely felt like the neverending pregnancy, probably because Kim talked openly for a year about her difficulties conceiving for a second time (they ended up going with IVF), then she complained endlessly about how much she absolutely loathed being pregnant. Kim’s due date was for Christmas, which means she gave birth about three weeks early. Which most of us were expecting anyway.

Christmas came early for the Kardashian West family. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West welcomed their second child, a son, on Saturday morning, Dec. 5, she announced on her website and app.

“Mother and son are doing well,” according to Kardashian West’s website.

Though they haven’t released a name, the couple has promised to steer clear of naming their son South. And while Kardashian West, 35, loved the name Easton, she admitted it likely would not work as West, 38, wasn’t a fan. Keep up with Kim Kardashian in the pages of PEOPLE Magazine by subscribing now.

“I don’t think we’ll go another direction,” she said.

[From People]

Baby Boy Kardashian-West was breech just one week ago, but Kim’s doctors manually turned him on December 1st. She was adamant about not wanting a C-section this time around (she had a C-section with North), but we don’t know yet if Kim had another C-section or what. As for the name… we came up with some good suggestions, I think. The more that I think about it, I’m hoping they go with Wintour or Winter West. I also loved True West!

Incidentally, on Thursday and Friday, Kim was still talking about how miserable she was while pregnant. She complained on her website that she felt like the baby was “the size of a pumpkin” and she was feeling “fat as f—k. My cankles are out of control and I’m craving Lay’s Barbecue potato chips.” Of course, she also told her mom that she’s thinking about Baby #3. Oh, God.

Ready whenever you are lol

Glad everything is okay with Kim and the baby.

Also glad we don’t have to see her pregnant belly everywhere any more.

    • word says:

Or hear her complaining about being pregnant every day just to get some press. One this is for sure, that baby will be so cute !

    • Robin says:

I’m glad they are both doing well and I hope they give the kid a normal name. Now instead of her pregnancy “style” we get to read about “body after baby”. Yay.

      • yolo112 says:

before the birth, I vaguely scanned headlines and I remember reading about Kanye saying something about Kim being “RICH” blah blah blah. .. for some reason that stood out. Was that a little clue? Are they naming this little nugget RICH? ? …ugh..

      • Jwoolman says:

        Yolo- Richie Rich West?!?

        Kash Kardashian West?

        Loads of Loot West?

        Almighty Dollar West?

I’m Rich And You’re Not West?

    • Mare says:

Now we’ll have the stories about how hard she worked (under anesthesia with a plastic surgeon) to get her body back.

    • Ravensdaughter says:

My thoughts exactly. We can all heave a big sigh of relief-this episode of the Kardashian saga is at least over.
On a positive note, North must be happy with her baby brother!

      • Carol says:

Glad the baby is healthy and all is well, but if her new claim to fame becomes her bravery as a mother to a preemie and how scary it all is, I will lose it.

      • Jwoolman says:

Maybe not so much when she realizes her brother isn’t returnable!

    • FLORC says:

Its everywhere because a conscious choice to help put it everywhere was made. Don’t want it everywhere? Don’t pay attention or cover it.

Always good when a baby is healthy. Ditto for mother.

      • daphne says:

agree. everytime i see kylie jenner post anywhere, i refuse to click it. part disinterest part not wanting to feed the monster.

      • Belle Epoch says:

You’re right – a healthy baby is a good outcome. But mostly the birth makes me feel sad. This baby is just another prop. His birth is another story line that is clearly riddled with lies. His pictures will be manipulated and sold, his clothes will be placement ads, his entire life will be filmed from birth, and paps will follow his every move because without photos to prove she’s alive Kim might think she was dead. A regular baby born into total obscurity on a hog farm would be a lot luckier than this little prince.

    • atiaofthejulii1 says:

My selfish rant….I’m glad this baby was born early, now that family will not sully my daughter’s and niece’s birthdays. (23rd and 24th). And yes, that family means nothing to me but the press or actually the internet will make such a deal of their birthdays. Ok rant over.

  2. word says:

Congrats to them all. However, does anyone really believe the due date was Christmas? In that case why did the docs turn the breached baby so early? Also, Kanye just said during his acceptance speech a few days ago that “the baby was coming any day now”. Christmas is still weeks away ! Kim just wanted us to think it would be a Christmas baby just to get some press. Now the name will also be a “big reveal”. Anways, this birth is extra special as it’s the first grandchild of PMK’s born IN wedlock !

Kim did not have a c-section with North. Also, of course she’s going to tell people she wants another baby because that will get the paps after her “waiting to get a baby bump pic” for baby number 3. I highly doubt she’ll get pregnant again.

    • pinetree13 says:

That’s a very good point. The vast majority of babies will turn in the last week of pregnancy if they are still breech…so it is odd they would try to turn him so early.

      • Betsy says:

No, the vast majority of breech babies do not turn at the last week. While they can turn at any point, generally the closer you are to term, the less likely a vertex presentation becomes.

      • MC2 says:

+1 to what Betsy said- I had a breech baby and they suggested that I try and turn him at 36 weeks. Babies do not turn the last week- they are usually head down at that point & too big to turn themselves.

    • Bridget says:

Nope. Not in any way. In the same way that North wasn’t 5 weeks early, in the same way that Kim never actually had fertility issues, none of it. She just says stuff for maximum press exposure – that’s her job for goodness sake.

      • QQ says:

Bridget, Im of two minds On this Trash, like either none of that was real (VERY POSSIBLE) and/or this baby “came early” so as to avoid the worst of pregnancy weight gain, no this isn’t an uncharitable thought, this is Kim “God Punished me by not letting me be Hot and sexy for 9 months” Kardashian

    • Jwoolman says:

How does a baby #3 mesh with all her talk of needing a hysterectomy because her uterus might explode any day? Just wondering… Maybe she said that under the influence of the drugs.

Glad Kim and Baby #2 made it through ok. I worry that the cosmos is going to get tired of her lies and endless drama and unnecessary medical procedures, and really blast her some time. Not now, thankfully.

    • Janie says:

Check out People Mag. They re tell all the woes she suffered thru this pregnancy. I mean every thing right down to a hangnail. Glad it’s over, but let’s be real… It’s never over with this bunch. No, she wasn’t 3 wks early, or rather her surrogate wasn’t.

    • Sophie says:

36 weeks is actually the right time to have the baby turned by the external version procedure that Kim had. The longer you wait past 36 weeks, the less likely it is to work because the baby only gets bigger and bigger. I know this because I am 36 weeks today and when my baby had not turned by 34 weeks, my doc warned me about this option.

Also, it is not true that most babies turn in the last week. 75% of babies are head down by 32 weeks.

    • Cat lady says:

She did have a c section with north. She had complications affecting her liver and they had to take the baby out. Kanye saying the baby is due any day now despite the original due date of December 25 only means to me that she was having weekly check ups and at the last check up the doctor told her the baby was probably going to come soon she may have already been dilated a centimeter or two.

      • MP says:

It’s just sick how she lies about everything. I was just watching re-runs of old KUWTK where North was born and Khloe was having a conversation with Bruce about how funny it was that Kim didn’t understand how to push right away. But then she apparently got it. After that Kim was telling how easy the delivery was. No mention of a C-section but clearly letting everybody understand that it was a vaginal birth.
I believe it was a C-section this time too (and probably with a tummy tuck) since she was apparently posting IG pictures on Friday evening and then boom she had a baby on Saturday morning.
I have nothing against C-sections but the constant lying is disgusting.

      • LAK says:

Kim didn’t have a C-section with North. She was hospitalised due to some complication, but immediately after the birth and for weeks afterwards, we were told it was a vagina birth, they even talked about it on KWTK – also CB had a post about the birth of North and all the comments are surprised that Kim pushed and not a C-section.

This C-section business is a new lie they are telling to go in line with the complications of getting pregnant 2nd time and the threatened hysterectomy after this birth.

BTW, how come she already saying baby no 3 when she was saying pregnancy is so complicated for her that she’s having a hysterectomy when this one is born?!

        The lies these people tell.

      • Christin says:

They cannot keep the stories straight. Fertility issues, pregnancy dangers — yet baby number 3 is already under discussion?

  3. Swavk says:

Don’t think she had a c-section with North. When I googled it all reports said she have birth naturally. Congrats to them both.

    • Mia V. says:

On the show it was said she had a C-section cause she had some kind of serious problems. Congrats Kim and Kanye, happy we won’t be facing your maternity style ever.

      • denisemich says:

Well e- online said kim gave birth naturally to North West. It is in print on their website.

Any who…I bet this kid was actually late. At one pt Kim said she could give birth on thanksgiving.

      • SydneySnider says:

Mia, I’m inclined to believe that her “serious problems” requiring surgery after North’s birth were related to tummy tucking and fat sucking…

Good to hear of the safe delivery and that mum and bub are well, all the same.

    • Bridget says:

Well, there’s some sketchiness there. They filmed the scenes for the show, but at the time all the reports were that Kim actually went into labor and gave birth naturally. Which… if you see pics of North as a newborn, it’s pretty obvious that kid was not 5 weeks premature. Supposedly she changed the due date to coincide with Duchess Kate’s for maximum exposure (which we all know she would never due). But for her to have gone into labor naturally at 35 weeks and NOT have the docs take measures to stop the labor (up to the possibility of bed rest) would have been irresponsible, so now we get the Emergency C Section narrative-pre-eclampsia narrative. It’s not like it would be the first time they set something up specifically for the show, by the way.

      • Alana says:

I am not surprised by anything with this family any more. Kim would do anything for ratings and to stay relevant

      • boredblond says:

        Conspicuous conception…(oops..konception)

My first thought..it’s about time–she’s looked eight months along for at least four months.

        Good luck to little Pap-io

    • jeff wilson says:

She opened her legs and the baby crawled out.

    • Jwoolman says:

Not all reports. There are good reasons to also believe Nori was born by C-section and especially that she was not five weeks premature. The K Klan were unusually mysterious about it all, not sure why. So flip a coin to decide what to believe. This one may be equally mysterious. Kourtney didn’t play such games. But maybe it’s all about plastic surgery right after the birth for Kim? Do people really do that? After a natural birth, I would think the mom would be worn out. After a C-section – maybe it makes sense to do it together at the same time?

      • Zigggy says:

That’s what I always thought- a la Posh Spice, with the “too posh to push” movement- I understood that you could get a c-section & tummy tuck at the same time. Other people have said that they wouldn’t do that because the uterus would be still too large, but I did know a gal (in the UK) that was offered this option…

      • Bridget says:

I hope she left that ob-gyn immediately, because that’s a terrible idea to do a tummy tuck and c section at the same time.

      • Mindy says:

There was a blind item several months ago that insinuated that Kim planned on having the baby at the beginning of December – I don’t remember any specifics.

When the breach story came out I knew it was just a matter of time before she’d have the baby via an ‘unplanned’ c-section. She gives out too much information in her lies – too many details is a characteristic of a lie/liar – ie, suddenly, out of the blue, she starts over-sharing about her desire to have a natural birth blah blah blah. Anyway, if Kanye wanted to witness the birth it would have to be a c-section – apparently he doesn’t want anything to do with her vagina.

  4. Pmnichols says:

Bless them all. As long as everyone is healthy. It’s a baby. I can’t hate on this.

  5. HH says:

I actu ally saw a throwback photo of Kourtney while she was pregnant and I can see why Kim is bitter. Kourtney looked beautiful while pregnant and it gave meaning to the phrase “pregnancy suits you.”

    • JustJen says:

Ok, so i had to google some of those pics and you are spot on!! She always looked like she was just chilling, dressing comfortably but still looked cute. Perhaps this is karma for Kim being the biggest jerk? (IMO, anyway).

This is the best, and it’s when she’s pg with her THIRD. http://streetz945.com/proof/the-breakfast-club-kourtney-kardashian-is-pregnant-expecting-third-baby-with-scott-disick-y/

      • Holly says:

I’m guessing she looked better because 80% of her body isn’t pumped full of silicone. Yes, I know Kourtney has breast implants, and probably a little tox, but for the most part…
I bet Kim wouldn’t have gotten so huge if she wasn’t full of silicone. Her natural body looked may have been slightly more voluptuous than Kourtney’s, but not the the crazy degree it is now. That ass isn’t a thing of nature. And before anyone gets butthurt, I have a big butt, I know big butts can be natural and look fine. Hers is neither of those things.

      • Snowflake says:

        @ holly

Yes, Imo, she was actually slim before she got all that stuff. She didn’t that big of a butt when she started hanging w Paris. But the press pushed her as this “ethnic” girl and she dated black guys, so they started pushing her butt and “curvy” figure. Really, she’s never been that great looking, imo. She just came into fame at a time when the desired look was going away from white and skinny and curves were becoming popular. I think kourtneys the best looking

  6. Nev says:

    Congrats!!!!!

  7. savu says:

Hope they’re both healthy! And I hope she’s as relieved as she wants to be. She really was miserable.

    • me says:

Well she did say in an interview she’d be happy if this baby came early.

Anyways, can’t wait to see pics of him. Maybe now Kanye will smile more since he finally got his “heir”. Poor Nori, let’s hope she still gets attention.

  8. What's inside says:

Hallelujah, the second coming of Yeezus is among us.

  9. Cary says:

I’m kind of surprised they didn’t plan a Dec 4 delivery. Jay Z’s birthday.

  10. Nicolette says:

An early Christmas present for us! We no longer have to hear about her pregnancy hate. Now we’ll have to listen to her yap about how hard it is having 2 kids to take care of (which out here in the real world it is) while she’s sitting in a chair having hair and makeup done and a mani/pedi. And all the while the people who actually take care of her kids will be the ones experiencing the childhood milestones with them.

Welcome to the world little baby boy West. Please feel free to give us the priceless “who the hell are you” expressions your sister North would have as a baby in your mother’s arms.

  11. jeff wilson says:

    Baby flesh or plastic?

  12. kai says:

I thought for a second you meant “Baby Boy Kardashian West” was the actual name. And I believed it.

  13. saras says:

Yuk sorry for all involved especially the newest pap prop…

  14. Defaultgirl says:

All hail, True West has arrived!!! Cankles be GONE… (So, the surrogate popped early, that’s the real story we’ll never read about).

  15. pinetree13 says:

I really want to know the name!

  16. m says:

Thank god now we won’t have to see her everywhere for the next few months until she’s lost all the baby weight. $10 says she makes her big post baby appearance at the Grammys.

  17. Mylene says:

Good !!!! No more news with Kim K. Complaining … Until 2016 when she will begin complain with weight lost ….. 😞

  18. LAK says:

The conventional thing to say is congratulations, but all I can think to say is good luck boy Kardashian West; you are going to need it in that family that destroys the male of the species.

  19. Lilacflowers says:

    Croquembouche West.

  20. lassie says:

Even if she didn’t have the C section, you know that she was in surgery with a tummy tuck/ boob lift/butt reconstitution/arm defatter, etc, so you know she did have a major surgery.

  21. Gina says:

Pour one out for bespoke leather diapers and diamond encrusted pacifiers everywhere; it’s going to be a rough year for them.

Welcome to the work (appropriate typo stays) little Kanye junior. That’s totally what they’ll name him, right?

  22. Kaylah says:

Lol, Kimberly. This baby isn’t early neither was North. So many lies and they can never keep up. Two days ago Kanye said baby could come any day now. Any day now and 3 weeks are not the same in any realm of the imagination.

    • The Original Mia says:

Yep. She was due and the baby arrived right on time.

    • Jwoolman says:

I get the feeling that Kim doesn’t keep Kanye up to speed on her latest claims. Or else he just forgets and blurts out the truth.

    • Cat lady says:

Did it ever occur you that at her last check up she was dilated and the doctor said any day now which is why Kanye said it?

      • swack says:

I was dialated 2 cm for many weeks with my children and I know several who were dialated for at least 3 weeks before the baby arrived. So that doesn’t indicate anything,

    • Lex says:

“Full term” is 37 weeks – the baby CAN come at any time. They’ll still give you a due date that’s at 40/41 weeks, but 37 weeks is still full term.
I don’t have any thoughts on their case specifically but babies come when they come!
If the baby had ‘descended’ into the pelvis and she had some minor early dilation, yeah, it’s reasonable to say the baby could come at ‘any time’

      • Maghreid says:

        Just An FYI:
39 weeks 0 days to 40 weeks 6 weeks now considered full term. At 37 weeks the lungs may be matured but anything before 38 weeks is considered early term. Theses are the new current guidelines.

  23. spidey says:

Head West, Gone West, Sou’west(er), West by South

  24. Eggland's worst says:

Congratulations to them and I hope the baby is healthy, but I do have to say: THANK GOD! that baby wasn’t born on Christmas. Can you imagine what we would have to tolerate if that were the case? At any rate, why are we still talking about babies being born early? Due dates aren’t an exact science. I was born in ’78 and I came a month “early”. The doctor pulled my because me Mom had a horrible still birth with my older brother and almost died herself. Some babies are born early (6 months is early), but if a baby is ready to come out, a baby is ready to come out. I am saying this as I am assuming the baby is healthy. If we are talking a super early, underweight birth, I will eat crow and apologize.

    • Jwoolman says:

Well, if he just could have held out until Tuesday (Dec 8), he would have been born on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception as an alternative to Christmas…

    • SydneySnider says:

England’s worst: So sad about your mum and brother. Your story reminded me of my daughter’s friend, who found herself pregnant at 15. At not quite five months along, she was having some problems and was admitted to hospital. We went to visit her, taking along her mum, who doesn’t drive. While we were chatting, the girl said she needed the loo, as she thought she was having a bit of leakage. As she was confined to bed, my daughter and I left the room to give her privacy, and we asked the nurse outside to please attend to the girl, as she needed help with toileting. In went the nurse, and next thing we heard the mother screaming. In those seconds, the baby had – literally – slid out… A tiny little girl the size of a can of coke, who was not expected to survive. She celebrated her 10th birthday yesterday, has been accelerated two years and just named Dux of her school. Amazing things happen.

    • chaser says:

Premature births (or just early births) are common, no one is arguing against that. It’s just that nothing ‘coincidental’ happens to Kymmie. This is a woman whose life is so planned down to the tinniest degree. I would argue for anyone else in the world that a baby and birth cannot be controlled – that it is outside the ability to pre-plan – but I cannot put that past this couple.
Honestly, considering how much conception and pregnancy information that has been slipped to the media during this circus makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

      • chaser says:

I will say that I’m glad all is well. Nothing makes me happier than healthy uneventful births.

  25. elisabeth says:

can’t wait to hear what moniker she bestows on her newest fashion accessory

    • me says:

We probably won’t know until Monday. PMK knows not to put out any pr on a Sunday…it will get less attention lol. I think people want to hurry up and know the name so they can start making the memes lol. Who knows, they might make an announcement at the end of their show airing tomorrow just to get people to tune in as ratings are low.

  26. OrangeCrush says:

I hate myself for remembering this, but when she had North, she disappeared for at least a few months (it was great). There were KK “sightings” breathlessly reported until she finally emerged sporting blonde hair and everyone freaked.

I always thought she dyed her hair to distract from the fact that she got a metric ton of plastic surgery done to her body and face. and she was out of the limelight for so long because she needed time to heal from it all. I wonder what she’ll do this time to distract us from all the work she’s inevitably going to have while she’s, ahem, recovering?

    • snowflake says:

I agree! She had a shit ton of work done last time, it will be the same now. but I will enjoy not seeing her for awhile. Will be sad/interesting to the meltdown as she gets older. Wtf will she do when she hits40? Or50? Shudder. 🙁

      • me says:

How much smaller can she make her nose? She keeps telling everyone her “bounce back game is strong” so I’m guessing she’ll reappear “thinner” than ever. I bet her “behind” will magically get smaller as she said during a recent episode that she wished her butt was smaller now. She’ll claim some magical potion or a lot of “hard work” was the reason for her “new” body but we all know the truth.

  27. atiaofthejulii1 says:

I talked to a plastic surgeon a few months ago, and he said no reputable surgeon performs a tummy tuck right after birth. A full tummy tuck is a 4 hour operation. The mother’s body and organs are all out of position and swollen from birth. He said it could be done at 4 weeks but he would never do major surgery like that until a mother was 4 months post birth.

    • Jwoolman says:

Kim might not have a surgeon who worries about such things. She’s had so many procedures done since she was quite young – and yet she has doctors who keep doing them to the point of making her look odd. Kim was so unhappy “feeling fat” during pregnancy, she might push for a quick surgical fix and not have trouble getting the surgeon to do it. She really wants to get back to her pre-pregnancy body as quickly as possible, that is probably her biggest priority right now.

I wonder if she will have the extra injected fat suctioned out of her derrière, since she’s been making noises about wishing it were smaller. Mother Nature really pushes fat storage during pregnancy in case of food shortage after birth, so those injected fat cells were working overtime in this pregnancy especially (hence all those coats in hot weather) and maybe it occurred to her that it might not be wise to keep them as her body starts changing with age. She may find it too hard to keep the weight off unless she tosses them, she doesn’t have much control over it. Fat cells do what they want. Just overfeeding a baby or young child can leave them with weight management problems as adults because of the excess fat cells accumulated early.

    • pinetree13 says:

That’s interesting as there are so many who have absolutely gotten a c-section and tummy tuck at the same time. Super shady. I’m glad the plastic surgeon you talked to was an ethical one.
