Last week, photos came out of Jennifer Garner out with a handsome tall dark-haired man, which seems like her type judging by her two husbands, who was said to be her accountant. The Daily Mail ran a story trying to cook up a romance between the two, but I didn’t mention it because it seemed like there was nothing there. She looked very happy, but she often looks happy when she’s papped for whatever reason. Plus, it was already established that the guy was her accountant. Maybe he just told her how to save a ton on taxes or something. One simple trick. The US Government hates him!
Star ran the story this week in their current edition and Gossip Cop got a denial. The guy wasn’t her accountant, The Daily Mail got that detail wrong and then Star ran with it, he’s the husband of her manager, who was out with them at the time.
Garner was “spotted with the finance fox outside of office hours on June 4 at SoHo House in Malibu,” writes Star. A so-called “spy” is quoted as saying, “They were with a friend, but Jen didn’t seem to care. She had on the biggest grin, batting her lashes and giggling at all of his jokes. She just melted.”
The magazine even describes Garner as “acting more like a googly-eyed teen” than a mother of three. And what about estranged husband Ben Affleck? “Ben knows he doesn’t have a leg to stand on, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t jealous,” a supposed “pal” claims. “He’s got his eye on this guy.”
Uh, actually, he doesn’t, and he doesn’t need to. There is nothing going on between Garner and the man Star can’t even identify by name. Gossip Cop has exclusively learned that the guy in question is actually the husband of Garner’s longtime manager. What’s more is that he isn’t even the star’s accountant.
Basically, Star took a photo of Garner, ignored the fact that the aforementioned “friend” with her was her manager, and tried to make it look like she was dating someone who is very much married. And that means the Affleck quotes are either made up or from a very misinformed “pal.” In any case, the tabloid couldn’t be more wrong here.
Garner does look kind of thrilled to be out with that guy, you can see why the tabloids would assume there’s something going on. In the photos that Daily Mail ran you couldn’t even see that there was another person with them, although it was mentioned. However I’ve seen other photos of Jennifer Garner out with people, like the one of her with a friend last week (below), and she beams at her female friend like that too. I would love it if Garner dated someone new and pulled a Taylor Swift complete with a pap rollout. That would tell Ben she’s over it. Alas, it’s not to be.
Earlier this week, Radar Online reported that Ben was delaying the divorce because he didn’t want to pony up and part with a large chunk of his fortune. That actually makes sense to me, because it’s got to be complicated and expensive to divide their assets. However GC also got a denial on that one. Their source used some curious wording though. They said “there’s real love and admiration” between them but they’re not planning to reconcile. From all that we’ve seen of their back and forth in the celebrity-friendly press, it sounds like they’re still unsure when and if they’re going to divorce.

LOL He is Warner Brothers’ Golden Boy right now, finished writing, directing and acting in his latest movie, and will be writing and directing and acting in the next standalone Batman, asked by Warner Brothers to become executive producer over the DC universe because of Zack’s problems. He can pretty much pick his projects over there. He is sitting pretty in his career.

He’s entered into the next echelon of power though. He’s gone from actor, to director, to big time producer… He’s wildly successful. Ben Affleck of all people.
He may be Batman but those movies are a joke. Batman vs. Superman had horrible reviews that everyone made fun of and it didn’t even crack $1billion. That’s pretty bad! Also the Sadfleck meme… I think that most still consider him to be something of a joke. Plus I have heard that his latest directing effort Live By Night is not good.
@Britney, he was almost universally praised by critics and fans as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and considered one of the few brightspots. That’s what was important as far as his career, and that fans are excited he’s writing and directing the next one. The fact that it didn’t crack a billion was nothing on him, but Zack Snyder.
Those movies are a joke? Tell that to all that love Christian Bale and the director of the three previous ones.
You hear Live by Night is not good? LOL A movie that isn’t coming out soon and probably just in post-production, but you hear. Okay.
Ben isn’t teflon. He has said it’s only a matter of time where one of his directing efforts isn’t received that great and said it’s the nature of the business. But he has built a solid reputation, and Ben is in a position of power right now in the industry as far as more work and offers than he can even take on. I don’t think professionally Ben is considered a joke at all, praised as a writer/director.
@Jayna You can shift blame to whomever you want but no1curr about his movie enough to get it to a billion dollars. He’s the big star in the franchise so he has to be able to sell it. He wasn’t going to do that by moping around. They picked the wrong guy for this, I think.
When I said these movies are a joke, I meant the DC Comics movies. Marvel movies do really well. DC has no clue what they are doing right now, that’s clear.
Yeah, Live By Night has had test screenings and the reviews have not been positive. There are posts about it on awardswatch and I’m sure you can find stuff on social media.

I hope the test screenings are proven wrong on Live by Night. I’ve been waiting for a good thriller, and Ben hasn’t let me down scriptwritingwise and directingwise so far. But I wasn’t looking forward to his doughboy “new” face in the movie. LOL
I agree the DC Universe is a mess right now because of Zack Snyder. It’s why they made Ben an executive producer over the upcoming projects. Wonder Woman has nothing to do with Zack, so I’m hoping that’s a great movie.

Divorces involving people with many assets and income from many sources take a LONG time to finalize. I’ve seen it take 2 years, even when the spouses are ready for it to be over. With Ben and Jen being married for so long, there’s no doubt that forensic accountants are taking a fine tooth comb to thousands of documents.
The kids are getting so big. They (the kids) have always seemed happy and well-adjusted.

I think most of the time, on the red carpet, she looks great. She chooses colors that are rich and beautiful, her makeup and hair are generally on point, and she wears just the right jewelry. It is her every day that suffers and suffers badly. Those orthopedic sandals in the jeans pic, for instance.
@Rhiley I think her style, even on the red carpet, tends to be conservative and matronly. As for the shoes, have you seen her messed up toe?
If she would just switch out her ill fitting jeans for ankle length jeans her look would improve immediately. I don’t know what to do about her shoes though…

Haven’t seen Ben papped since the OMGuyliner sighting weeks ago (and Guy’s Choice awards which strangely he managed to get in and out of town w/o a single sighting, airport or otherwise). She on the other hand has been photographed literally doing nothing almost every day since she and the kids returned. I guess what I’ve read about her is true — she calls them.

I just saw a fan pic of Ben today in some English city called Morecambe. Not sure if JL is filming up there or if he’s up there on his own little vacay. We all know that he likes to take his lady to remote coastal locations for getaways.

Ben is in a serious relationship now, his people are hoping details of this relationship and her identity will stay on the dl until after he files, he is anxious, and will definitely file for divorce before the end of this month, everything is settled, it’s just a matter of filing. He will most likely file for divorce when he comes back for re-shoots scheduled for Live By Night this month before he goes back to continue filming Justice League in London. Get ready for him to go public with his new girlfriend soon after, she’ll probably walk her first red carpet with him when they premiere The Accountant in October.
Live By Night has been moved up 1/13/17, this is NOT good news, it’s not a good movie and will not figure in the Oscars, at all. WB wants to bury it. It is possible that Ben will experience disappointing reviews and low box office returns for both The Accountant and Live By Night, Ben does not handle dips in his career very well, he takes it hard, we shall see how this all plays out.

So I believe the sighting of Ben in the Uber with the blonde in Miami. With Jen sighted there the same day and back in London the next, it would be way too much coincidence IMO. Clearly, if that blonde is his new relationship, Jen is fully aware and has no issues, indicating they really have moved on relationally. In fact, she spent those days prior in New Orleans. Hmmm. Why? With whom?
The Miami thing: it depends. It’s funny that the paper simply deleted the item about him and Uber but never issued a retraction. Maybe the driver got the day wrong. If it was the day that everyone thought it was, then it wasn’t him bc there were fan pics of the family sightseeing in London on that day. But like I said, it’s very odd that there was no retraction issued and that part of the article just vanished.

I’m guessing he is in LA for Father’s Day plus a few. There was a post about appearing in a show inLA this week. Jen, who had been papped almost every day last week,was not seen Saturday or today. (Though Froday she could not contain her happiness – perhaps over Ben returning from London ) My guess is they are all together out of the camera eye maybe on a Father’s Day getaway or just at home.
I know most of the posters here won’t agree with me, but I do think they are together and keeping a low profile about it to see if it will work. As soon as the tabloids get one shred of proof that they are back together,ie a kiss, a hand holding, the paps will be all over them. It’s a gut feeling based on pics that were taken in Paris of the two of them. Ben was totally looking at Jen in the most sincere loving way. Also a lot of social media sightings of them on theatre dates in Lobdon, at the savoy hotel, in private clubs. That is not co parenting – that’s two people enjoying each other’s company. Next week is their 11th anniversary. We will see.

In any case whatever – he is back in LA. Whatever they have decided to do – they should just get on with it, it’s already a year since they announced the divorce and they appear closer than they were when they were married.
If he has a serious gf, she must have been around for a long time. Like going back to the days when they were separated but no one knew. And probably all of this talk of reconciliation and whatnot is wishful thinking (Jen’s fans) and clickbait (the rags) and they’ve simply been coparenting platonically. That’s my guess. Because he did take some woman to Canada last year and we never figured out who that was.

I’d be surprised if it was Olga or Gal. Gal is forever posting stuff about her husband on social media. Olga is more of a mystery but I think she lives with her SO and their kid. If it’s any of his previous co-stars my money is on Gemma Arterton. Lainey mentioned something about one of his dalliances being a Bond girl. Gemma was a Bond girl (as was Olga). She also looks physically like his type. She divorced her husband in early 2013 coincidentally she filmed Runner Runner in late 2012.

Haven’t all of his relationships, er, overlapped? He’s got that cheating mentality but so does Garner. I remember reading on some messageboard years ago that he and Garner had a fling on the set of Daredevil (she was married to Foley) and she was willing to leave Foley for him and he told her not to. Then she cheated with Vartan on the Alias set and was with him for awhile before cheating on him with Ben. That’s why this whole Good Garner Girl image that she’s created has always been so inauthentic to me. She’s as bad as Affleck. How you catch them is how you’ll lose them, karma is a b–ch, etc. As for the alleged new gf, she must be pretty understanding if she’s been around for awhile. Ben spent major holidays away with Jen and the kids. Unless she’s new. Who knows with him. I’m sure he had a regular sidepiece when he was married and not yet separated, maybe he upgraded someone.
On a completely unrelated topic, I find it equally hilarious and tragic they have added an Affleck nude scene in the BvS home version. I won’t go into the reasons here because they are all pretty unkind, but why was that even necessary? What does it add to the story? My guess, nothing. Just flash – it did get attention in Gone Girl, so why not throw it in here?

On an unrelated topic, I have never believed all these pregnancy rumors, as I feel it’s just not realistic given the situation. However, there was an interesting caption under a popsugar photo taken last week of Jen and her daughters, showing Violet with a book as usual in her hands. The picture clearly shows what the caption says – that Violet was reading a book titled “Baby’s first year for Dummies”. Just thought that was kind of interesting.

Oh boy. Get ready for more tabloid stories since he’s back, and they’ll inevitably be seen together. I also suspect they’re together again. But I think they’d actually get less publicity if they just said what they’re doing. The way they’re handling. things is just fueling constant speculation. And after she gave her big “divorce” story to VF, it’s all just kind of pathetic, but I don’t expect a lot more from them at this point.

In the short term there would be a lot of publicity re a reconciliation. In the long term there would be less publicity. Maybe they are saving it for their August film promotions. In the interim all the speculation is exhausting. I wonder where they all will be spending the summer once school is out?
But Jane’s post (which seems to be insider info) says he is in a serious relationship and is anxious to finalize the divorce and will file while he is back in the States (now). If they were back together he would not be anxious to finalize the divorce. Who knows.
I’m thinking he will file after the HBO interview to avoid questions there. Last time they made sure the kiddos were out of states to avoid media so that may explain why we haven’t seen any pics today…aren’t they out of school now?

This pregnancy stuff is just old and BOR-ING. In Jen’s own words (from the ellen show in 2014): “So I asked around and apparently I have a baby bump. And I’m here to tell you that I do. I am not pregnant but I have had three kids and there is a bump. From now on, ladies, I will have a bump and it will be my baby bump. It’s not going anywhere. Its name is Violet, Sam and Sera.” Her abs never really came back from the pregnancies and when she isn’t wearing a corset or spanx or whatever for an event, she has a noticeably poochy gut. She has had that for literal years. Even when she was younger pre-kids, she didn’t have a smaller waist. She’s a bit apple-shaped. She always wears hoodies and sweaters to cover it. Has for years, look at old pics. It must be awful to be her and to hear that you “look pregnant” from strangers and your rep has to continually deny it. Embarrassing, that is not a compliment. And there were pics of Jen in Paris with alcohol in her hand just a month ago. Plus I tend to believe Jane’s insider info. She is usually right.
Well if they are good buds perhaps he’ll Announce there that he has filed. Wishful thinking on my part I just want the filing done!!!
