Here are some photos from the New York City Ballet’s fall gala on Tuesday evening. Sarah Jessica Parker is on the board of the NYCB, she’s always been a huge supporter of NYCB, and she always attends their seasonal galas. For this gala, SJP chose to wear what looks like a custom gown from Narciso Rodriguez. Narciso is also one of the premiere designers who made costumes for the ballerinas, so most of the women attending the gala wanted to wear Rodriguez (or the other designers). What surprises me here is that Matthew Broderick attended with SJP. It feels like these two rarely do red carpets these days.
As for the dress… I think it’s fug. Go ahead and yell at me! But the satin is too heavy on top, and too cheap-looking on the bottom. Plus, I simply have an aversion to the combination of really dark fabric on top and light fabric on the bottom. It just seems lopsided to me, and this look in particular seems like Rodriguez combined two dress ideas to make one fug combo.
Julianna Marguiles also wore Narciso Rodriguez. Her dress is a lot prettier, right? It suits her. And her husband is hot.
And here’s Diane Kruger in a dress from Giambattista Valli Couture Winter 2016 collection. This is the worst one, right? It looks… I don’t even know, like I don’t have the words. It looks like a child’s dress got mixed into the Christmas decorations box and Kruger decided to go with it.

I love that dress Kruger is wearing, it is very girly, very romantic, playful, I simply like dresses that are cute and interesting, they give a hint, but not reveal a lot.
As for SJP, the dress looks too small, her boobs looks like they are about to explode. She does not usually wear that kind of crap. This is one of her worst looks. I just personally do not care about flashing boobs, when you are actually a good looking woman of career.
Kruger’s gramma went a little too crazy with the glue gun and curtains.
SJP’s dress is HIDEOUS, and her boobs are way too big for her small frame. She looks like she’s going to topple over.
If SJP wants to show her cleavage then so be it. But I didn’t realize that she had that kind of cleavage. Is it new? Unfortunately, SJP’s dress is not great. But what’s worse is Diane Kruger’s dress. Diane looks like a twee bondage Thumbelina with the strange curtain tiebacks, ugly fabric and cheap design.
Those boobs on SJP are definitely new. She’s been featuring them lately a lot and they are really too big for her frame. someone did a good job in terms of the shape and they are not bolt ons, but they are WAY too big for her.
“Put boobs away”??? She’s not naked and she’s certainly not showing areola or nipple so what’s the problem? She’s just showing the swelling of her breast. Now, if you wrote “put dress away” I’d totally agree.
And how is she like a Kardashian?!? Must they be brought up in every post? 🙄 ETA: I just realized you wrote she likes the Kardashian family. So never mind.
I hate it when SJP does her eye makeup like that!!! It just doesn’t look good; her eyes are one of her best features and it makes them look tiny and crazy. Bad dress too.
That’s what I was coming here to say! WHY does she do her eye makeup like that? It’s completely wrong for her. Someone needs to step up and tell her that it doesn’t look good.
Agree about that hideous makeup! Her smile, waist, legs, and naturally CURLY hair are her best features. And yet, she presents…this.
Diane looks like she was kidnapped, tied to a chair, and escaped just in time to make it to the gala. Someone should have helped her remove the ropes before she hit the red carpet.

She has her own unique look but the hair and makeup are not flattering.
I know and I agree but at this point, the eyeliner really is her signature look. Softer makeup would be so much more flattering though.
A center part can work on some people, but it’s too harsh on SJP.
the super heavy eyeliner reminds me of a childhood filled with midwestern, blue collar, middle-aged women who drink heavily.

Did you watch SATC? She’s always had really large boobs, particularly for her tiny frame. I agree that they look larger than normal here but I think that’s due to weight gain. She’s stated a million times that she tends to eat anything and everything. Not being mindful of her eating habits was bound to catch up with her. Not that she’s fat by ANY means but she was always almost impossibly tiny and now she looks more…(for lack of a better word) typical?
I just think she gained a few. *shrugs*

Even in the opening sequence her boobs are like whoa, to the point where in the episode where Sam is contemplating breast implants, she says she wants Carrie’s boobs lol.
It’s possible that she got a lift but I think this is just a case of weight gain and a dress that pushed them together and out.
I also just finished watching the entire SATC series for the billionth time and I was marveling at her breasts and her body in general. It’s hard to believe that she didn’t work out for that..kind of annoying lol.
I always remember thinking her boobs were insanely huge on her tiny body. Like unfair-to-the-rest-of-us big for such low body fat.
A couple pounds in all the right places and a push up could accomplish this. So could fat injections or a small implant. I dunno… I’m leaning towards weight. And I always lean towards implants. the jury’s still out til I see her butt/legs. That skirt could hide many things.

And Diana Kruger looks like she tried to cram herself in my Laura Ashley church dress from 1984 (I was 5). I get her style is quirky, but that is one of the worst dresses I have EVER seen.
I almost always hate what Kruger is wearing and today is no exception. But then again, as much as I enjoy looking at Haute Couture, I don’t “get” a lot of it.
Fun fact…..20 years ago today SJP’s former flame JFK Jr married Carolyn Bessette, whose wedding dress was designed by Narciso Rodriguez. I’m amazed I remember stuff like that but can never find my car keys…

I honestly did not realize SJP’s breasts are that big. Also, I’ll never understand her need for the raccoon like eyeliner. Combined with the flat ironed hair, it ages her something awful.
If the cleavage area had been just a bit more tastefully done I would love SJP’s look.
