I really respect all of the high-profile women who manage to keep their private lives locked down. It’s not the best for me, personally, because I like to gossip and I wish people would overshare even more because it makes my job easier. But I do respect the Lupitas and Kerry Washingtons of the world, who manage to date, get married and have babies without many people figuring out what they’re up to. Taraji P. Henson is like that too – she doesn’t advertise her relationship with retired football player Kelvin Hayden. I suspect that only Taraji’s hardcore fans even knew that she’s been dating Hayden for years. They’ve apparently been together since 2015! And she rarely talks about him in interviews, other than saying she’s in a relationship and she’s happy. Well, now she’s letting people know that Hayden proposed!! From her Instagram:

You know what I enjoy? That the chocolate-covered strawberries are in-focus, like they’re the most important part of the story. To be honest, I might be more excited about the strawberries than the ring!! But that’s just me. The ring is lovely and Taraji seems very happy! Congrats to her and I hope she does share more, because I want to know about her wedding plans!
