Jon Voight praises Nick Loeb’s awful, lie-filled ‘Roe v. Wade’ film

Los Angeles premiere of 'Same Kind of Different as Me' - Arrivals

We recently learned that Nick Loeb is currently making an anti-abortion movie called, you guessed it, Roe v. Wade. Loeb is probably best known for his on-and-off engagement to Sofia Vergara several years back, and his ongoing legal battle to gain “custody” of the fertilized eggs they created while together. Loeb has gone all-in on the deepest anti-woman political thought you can find, and this Roe v. Wade movie was always going to be a trainwreck. What’s hilarious is that all of these “conservative celebrities” and “right-wing nut jobs” are taking “roles” in the movie. Jon Voight will play a Supreme Court justice. Stacey Dash has a role. So does Tomi Lahren. And Milo Yiannopoulos. And Roger Stone. Voight was recently asked about it, and he had some nonsensical sh-t to say:

Jon Voight – who will play a Supreme Court judge in the upcoming controversial, anti-abortion movie “Roe v. Wade,” written and directed by Cathy Allyn and Nick Loeb — told us the movie will be “an opportunity for people to learn about it all.”

The right-wing Oscar winner said, “Everyone has very strong opinions, but they are getting these little sound bites. It’s very good to really find out who all the people at that time were in 1973, all the different personalities, what they were doing. The Supreme Court, what its judgment was made from and the people who went through it. I think it’s going to be very interesting for folks. It’s loaded with information.”

The polarizing film has so far had issues finding filming locations, while some cast and crew, including its original director and assistant director, quickly jumped ship. Roger Stone, Tomi Lahren and Milo Yiannopoulos reportedly will make cameos.

“I have my own very strong opinions about abortion,” Voight, who’s stuck by the film, told us. “I feel very strongly that every child is a child of God . . . The mystery of life is so precious. We should be responsible for it . . . Abortion shouldn’t be used as a prophylactic.” But he added: “Should the government get involved in it? No. I think that these are women’s decision, but I do think we lost a lot of moral ground in the ’60s.”

Show me the pro-choice advocate who says that abortion should be used as a prophylactic. I’ll wait. As for Voight’s claim that the film is loaded with information… THR did another article about Loeb’s film and how Loeb is struggling to find financing to complete the film. Apparently, no one wants to front him the money now that parts of his script are out. One financier tells THR that he rejected Loeb’s overtures because: “The film reinforces lies that have been told over and over, like Margaret Sanger started Planned Parenthood to kill African-American babies. All the weird fake news about abortion is in there. All stuff that is easily debunked.” For the love of God.

    Oh FUCK OFF!!!

    • AnnaKist says:

Very succinct, Lindy. I couldn’t have said it better. (And I say that A LOT.) 👏

      • Lindy79 says:

haha sorry I know it’s not really a well thought out comment but I just can’t with this anymore.

We had months of this shite in Ireland leading up to the vote in May and I just have zero tolerance for all this total lack of faith in women and their choices, anti-womens healthcare, shaming misogyny.

      • AnnaKist says:

On the contrary, Lindy – I think it was brilliantly thought out! Yes, we heard a lot about all those issues down here in Australia. I can’t believe that in 2018, women are still having to fight for their most basic rights and freedoms, and more particularly, in supposedly “civilised” places. It beggars belief.

      +1,000.

  2. Nancy says:

His time has come and gone. Hard to believe he was in the classic Midnight Cowboy or The Champ. I used to question his daughter for exiling her father for that period of time when she did, but man, this asshat is an effing moron. If you don’t have a uterus, stfu.

  3. Electric Tuba says:

He has basically written Thomas Markle a handbook on how to use the press to manipulate your daughter. I’ll never forget his nasty interviews trying to gain access to his grandkids. He’s a pig, has always been a pig, and will die an old lonely idiot pig.
    @lindy79 you’re awesome!! ❤️

  4. kate says:

Go away, the lot of y’all. Jon Voight was Thomas Markle 1.0.

  5. HK9 says:

Blah, blah, blah, he’s just your average entitled misogynist.

  6. Nanny to the rescue says:

Tomi Lahren? Milo? Watch out Hollywood, these raw talents are coming for your Oscars!

It’s like “who’s who and what’s what on the right in entertainment” project. “Actors” instead of actors and “facts” instead of facts.

BTW, Is James Woods too busy to play himself in this?

  7. AnnaKist says:

This guy gives me the sh!ts. I can’t stand him. Never could, never will. What an utter tosser.

  8. Otaku Fairy... says:

“…but I do think we lost a lot of moral ground in the ’60s.” Nope. Romanticizing oppression and inequality is #NotMyMorality.
This Nick Loeb is really showing the kind of garbage person he is- not just in the abusive way he’s dealt with Sofia, but in his willingness to align himself with neo-nazis and anti-choice misogynists just to take down an ex. We know he’s not really anti-abortion when it’s convenient for him.

    • Carol says:

Yeah right. I think Voight lost the moral ground when he left his wife and his two kids for another woman. He is a self-righteous tool

  9. Sophie says:

Lots of people gave Angelina Jolie crap for keeping this man out of her life. Now do people see why?

  10. hogtowngooner says:

“Should the government get involved in it? No. I think that these are women’s decision…”

But Jon, that’s what pro-choice means. Also, if you could look beyond your own misogyny, you could read the SCOTUS decision that hinged on the legality of the government interfering in the confidential relationship between a woman and her doctor. It wasn’t an argument about the morality of abortion – it was about a government getting involved in matters that are none of its business. You’d think Republicans would be all for that.

And you know what, as someone born in the mid-eighties, I’d actually really like to see a film that shows the many paths that led to that landmark SCOTUS decision. Like the desperate women who resorted to horrific home abortions and died or were permanently disabled by it.

That lip curl on Nick Loeb is a put off. I don’t trust any guy with a lip curl, or least not most of them.

Toadstool Lozenge is in it? Wow, that’s real quality casting.
