Keira Knightley wordlessly confirmed her second pregnancy with James Righton

2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Graydon Carter

It’s a Hollywood baby boom! Or something. At the same time that Blake Lively was wordlessly confirming that she was deep into her third pregnancy in New York, Keira Knightley was stepping out in Paris with her visible baby bump too. Keira stepped out with her husband James Righton in Paris for a Chanel cocktail party. Keira is the face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, so this was an appearance on behalf of her endorsement contract. And I bet Chanel was happy to have Keira debut her bump outside the event:

In case you were wondering, Keira’s first child, daughter Edie, was born in 2015. I think we’re coming up on Edie’s fourth birthday? Keira was pretty low-key about all of that at the time – she wasn’t making big baby-reveal announcements or anything, but she did talk about Edie almost immediately in interviews. Keira is raising Edie as a little feminist who questions the messages of Disney movies, and Keira has spoken more about the life-altering journey of pregnancy and childbirth in the years since. I’m a little bit surprised that Keira is having another one, honestly, but I’m happy for her. I wonder if it will be another girl – I think Keira would probably enjoy that.

Congrats to them! She already looked pregnant in a January post where in one of the photos she is wearing a white dress with a pink ribbon/ belt?!

    • Lee says:

Agreed, she looked pregnant in her latest appearances, her gowns were wide and perfectly camouflaging her stomach. She looks great!

    • Jerusha says:

Yep, I suspected it then. Congratulations!

    • Case says:

Yes! I was proud of myself for guessing correctly months ago, lol. Pregnancy looks so good on her.

Loved her honest account of her delivery.

There needs be more acknowledgment of the issues associated with childbirth.

  5. Case says:

So much happy news today! This is great. I love the name Edie — I’m excited to see what name she picks for Baby No. 2.

    • Melody says:

My identical twins are named Edie and Eliza. Full names are Edie Mae and Eliza Jane. I love old fashioned names and these actually represent a lot of the grandmother’s and great grandmother’s in our family.

      • Case says:

Those are such lovely names! I also love old-fashioned names. Timeless and beautiful, and often unique because not many people dig into the past for baby name ideas.

    Kiera looked lovely.

I never really noticed him before, but that second photo made me stop and say “okay!”

Both Kiera Knightley and Alicia Vikander is someone I predicted was pregnant a couple of months back.

Just waiting to see if I’m right about AK now, lol

exactly my thoughts, after she went on and on and on about how awful everything is to being a mother, like she is the first one (someone may call it honest – I would call it honest if there is no more children – but alas….)

I hope she will spare us from her public baby-blues this time and find a good doctor to help her throu it

    Gwyn invented yoga and uncoupling
    Keira invented motherhood
