Sharon Osbourne has been honest about the work she’s had done on her face and body. She’s a combative piece of work who is deep in denial about her personal life, but she’s open about her plastic surgery. Sharon revealed on The Talk this week that she has surgery scheduled for August, when the show is on hiatus. She said she will be coming back with a new face in September. This is despite vowing never to have more plastic surgery. You can see the video below and here’s some of what she said.
My best surgery is booked, it is. I’m having it in August so when we come back to film in September, I will have a new face.
I never took a picture to a doctor and said, I want to look like catwoman. I didn’t want to go that far, I just didn’t want to look like my mom.
I’ve heard something similar from other women who have had plastic surgery, that they saw their moms age and didn’t want to look like that when they got older. After that Rumer Willis, who was on the show in a ridiculous too-long wig with bangs, said she does want to look like her mom, Demi Moore, because her mom is stunning. Demi has had a lot of work done too but that went unmentioned.
What can you even do with Sharon’s face? She’s pulled so tight. This will be face 4.0 or something for her. She already looks like a facsimile of a person. People Magazine reminds us about Sharon’s various surgeries and complications. She had to have surgery to correct a burst breast implant and admitted in 2013 that her vaginal rejuvenation surgery “was just excruciating.” Plus, around the time she had her double preventative mastectomy she said she knew her face looked plastic and unnatural and that she was definitely done having plastic surgery. She said “I won’t be going under the knife again” and “you can’t buy your youth back.” I guess you can buy a new face though. We’ll have to see how it turns out for her.

A new personality is what she needs. That would improve her look enormously. And costs nothing.
That was my first thought too – eh, call me when she gets a new personality.
I can’t imagine having body dysmorphia. Must be a terrible feeling to never be comfortable in your own skin and always feel the need to change it. People dealing with this really should seek out mental health resources.
Does she have dysmorphia or vanity?
A new face is something for her to focus on, be excited about. Some people get their rush from family or objects but she can afford anything so ‘things’ don’t lift her. Her family appears dysfunctional so that isn’t it either.
I guess she’s her hobby.
I like when people are upfront. It’s like having work done is supposed to be hush hush. When it comes up in conversation that I have breast implants, people can’t believe I just admit it. Meh.
I had three kids. One day I looked in the mirror and didn’t like what I saw. I had small implants and a lift. Then I got on a medication that makes me lose weight. Well, implants don’t change size. Now I have much bigger breasts relative to my frame. Eh.
I was planning to go have some acne scars removed, but a new acne med seems to be fading them enough that I don’t feel it’s necessary.
Let’s hope she doesn’t end up looking like her husband…
I don’t know what her mum looked like, but I’d be ok looking like my late mum, cuz she looked like The Queen.
Going under general anesthesia is serious business & doing it repeatedly for non-medical reasons seems reckless. On another note there was a photo posted recently of Julie Chen leaving a medical facility with her face wrapped up in bandages…
My mom is beautiful. I love her wrinkels. I would be honored to look like my mom. Aging is a beautiful thing if we just treat it with love and gratitude.
My sister-in-law has had a lot of work done. A nose job when she was a teen (which, to be honest, she probably needed), breast implants a number of times (I also have them) but lately she has been messing with her face (lips, botox, who knows what else) and I want to tell her to just stop. Her lips look so uncomfortable, like they will burst at any given moment. But I am not going to bother because she won’t listen to anyone. I just wish she was happy because she really is a beautiful person inside and out.
She probably is like this due to Ozzy’s chronic cheating and her insecurities from it.
I have a dear friend who at 32, has been getting botox and lip injections for at least 5 years now. She also has body dysmorphia and is severely underweight and states she’d “die” if she ever weighed 120 lbs again. She is 95 lbs. I try to tell her she doesn’t need these things and her boyfriend has also, to no avail. We need to do more as a society to not encourage these alterations in face and that painfully thin is not good for one’s health. My friend looks older than me and I am 38 because of all she has had done.
I’m surprise that there is not a name associated to people who repeatedly get Plasic surgery, it seems to be very addicting.
When you think back to people like Michael Jackson, Joan Rivers, and Cher to mention a few, they were always getting tweak.
I think it’s related to Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and is just referred to as cosmetic surgery addiction.
Sharon’s face already looks bizarre, and I can’t imagine willingly putting myself through surgery and pain REPEATEDLY just for vanity. May we all be so lucky to get old and wrinkly.
She’s a nasty person. Her new face will be like putting lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig.
I am so grateful that I grew up with a mother who valued her success and work ethic over her looks. She was truly stunningly beautiful, as well, so it could have gone either way. She never touched her face even though she didn’t have the “perfect” button nose and developed some crow’s feet in her later years. She looked years younger than her friends who swore by fillers and tweaks. One of her friends offered me her doctor’s card for lip injections at my graduation party and I never saw my mother lose her cool outside of that moment.
What a sad example she is setting for all the younger women in her life and for everyone who watches her show (does anyone still watch this show?).
I think her misogyny sets a much worse example for her daughters and those watching her show.
I used to be of th “if it feels good, do it,” mindset and certainly I don’t wish to legislate procedures just because I disagree with them (cough cough forced birthers cough cough), but for the most part people don’t look better with procedures, and certainly not with repeated cosmetic procedures. As you put it, they look like facsimiles of humans. It’s unsettling. They don’t look younger – short of a double eye transplant, no one can take away the look of eyes that have seen. Even walking wax bodies, like Steve Wynn’s (ex?) wife, look old. They just do. They’ve seen life, they’ve lived it, they’ve had experiences. Nothing is really gonna turn back the clock.
She’s on t.v. so I see her point, her face on full view every day. She wants to look good. I don’t care because it’s her face and if it makes her feel better, then whatever.
