Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian in Glendale last night. She went out to dinner with her mom and a few of her sisters. She was apparently so dressed up because she was filming an episode of David Letterman’s Netflix talk show? Anyway, I really dislike this color on Kim! It’s sort of a muted sunflower and… someone with Kim’s coloring should avoid it. Granted, it doesn’t wash her out as badly as I would have expected, but Kim has always looked much better in red and lavender, but she rarely wears such rich colors anymore. I also kind of think Kim is starting to gain a little bit of weight back, which makes me happy because her body actually looks better now. More proportional, you know? Less like a plastic surgery experiment gone wrong.
Meanwhile, Kim was in Paris a few days ago with Kanye West. They were there to check in with some of their favorite designers, like Jean Paul Gaultier. At Gaultier’s studio, Kim snapped a photo of herself in the mirror, trying on a Gaultier look, but check out Kanye West eating some KFC:

I knew that the Kentucky Fried Chicken brand was global and that KFC is super-popular in many Asian countries, but I did NOT know that Parisians had access to KFC. I wonder if the recipe is any different there? Because KFC here in America is WAY too salty. Anyway… Parisian KFC, and Kimye is making it happen. Here’s Kim’s Instagram post.

Just…why? Paris has such amazing food- even the street food is good. No reason at all for KFC.
There are a lot of African immigrants in Paris, and it’s very popular with them. There’s a few in the sort of suburb areas and a few in the very touristy centre of Paris.
Kanye acts like a toddler pretty much all the time, and I imagine much like travelling with a toddler, he needs his comfort items to remind him of home and make him calm down, like some KFC and some hideous shoes.
As an American I can say attest to how hard it is to find fried chicken in Paris. I guess she was on Grand Boulevard. That KFC is always packed (mostly with African and Chinese immigrants). You can’t eat steak and frites everyday. Unless you can pay to really spend money at a restaurant with bougie, small plates, it’s mostly steak and frites, beef tartare, magret canard, and steak and frites, there’s not a lot of variety. Every place basically serves the same thing.
But KFC in Paris is severely lacking. No gravy, no biscuits and no mashed potatoes.

Yea, KFC in France is just chicken and greasy fries. No other sides. It’s worse than in the US.

I have been to the McDonald’s there more than I’d care to admit…
My guess? Kim is quite vocal, lately, about eating a plant-based diet (full applause from me on that, if it’s true). KFC has announced that they are offering plant-based alternatives. I would lay bets that she is gunning for an endorsement deal with them.
I’m vegan and got all excited about the vegan burger KFC put out… in London.
Then I travelled to Paris, was super hungry, got in a KFC and no vegan option at all.
Super disappointed at the incapacity of going vegan of the French, and their infantile sense of humour about plant-based diets. Sick of it.

Sadly, there are too many people who think plant based eating is nothing more than a joke.
If KKW (along with many others who are become more vocal about it) is willing to shed light on the benefits of plant-based eating, it brings me joy!
@Heather Funny thing is that here at our KFC’s in London they wear T-Shirts to promote the PB burger with the word ‘chicken’ crossed out in green. So funny.
Not sure KKW is really chanting the benefits of being vegan, I think she is more of a wave rider.
Game Changers, a slightly over the top documentary produced and sponsored by James Cameron, Djokovic etc is really convincing people more actively and more sincerely I think, and I am sooooo glad.
I read that Warren Buffett only has hamburgers when he travels to Paris and refuses to try French food.
Been eating clean all of 2020 for health and fitness reasons and am trying to incorporate vegetarian and vegan recipes as well.I won’t completely commit to strictly cutting out meat/animal products Just reducing as much as possible….That said I now really want KFC-the chicken the coleslaw,mashed potatoes,Lord help me it’s been since forever that I’ve had this stuff!
On another note I actually think Kim looks pretty in the yellow ,I really like her shoes too.
I also wander if the Parisian version of KFC would be slightly healthier ,doubt it though…
Haven’t eaten KFC in over 30 years. Ever since my daughter (she was 2 at the time) and I got food poisoning from it.
I think the only difference between european fast food and american is the size of menus and the oil
The meat is often of higher quality, just because of EU regulations – no chlorinated chicken, etc. However it’s still fast food and any actual health benefits would have previously come from the meals being a bit smaller, but that’s changing all the time.
I’m right there with you spicecake, I really like kfc chicken, too! I love fried chicken legs. So good. My husband loves kfc cole slaw. We never go there anymore, LOL. We began our cleaner eating last year and so we are a little more selective with our cheats, and pizza ends up winning more often than chicken.
also, I like to try fast foods in other countries to see how they are different. I’ve had kfc in London and it wasn’t very good, but I would think it would be super delicious in france! I always say that the best sandwich I ever had in my life I bought at a train station in paris. The french know how to make good food

I haven’t been to Paris but I wouldn’t touch anything that is American junk/fast food I mean it’s Paris for heavens sakes!I would be eating in bistros,and definitely sample as much street food there as possible.
I have seen the movie Something’s Gotta Give with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson a million times and have googled the Parisian restaurant where she says has the best roast chicken -Le Grande Colbert,travel/food goals for sure!
It’s funny that you’re saying that,because sandwiches In France are well known to be the worst in train & trainstation.
There’s even an expression “être epais comme un sandwich sncf”. Which reads as being as thin as a [Name of the national’s trains company]’s sandwiches.
I don’t live within delivery range of a KFC anymore (probably best for my health AND my waistline, heh) but man, every now and then I still crave it. It’s not even ‘the best’ fried chicken, but lord help me I sometimes want to order a whole bucket just for myself.

I had KFC in Prague, out of curiosity about a decade ago, and it was wretched. McDonald’s, however, tasted exactly the same.
I won’t lie I had McDonald’s in Paris. I also had the best French bread sandwich at a deli. I was only there for one day and the food was way too expensive. McDonald’s wasn’t cheap either but cheaper than the restaurants there. If you really want to enjoy Paris you gotta go with A LOT of money. I was a student at the time so yeah…lol.
I did too, back in my backpacking days. My friend and I would always do at least one authentic local meal wherever we were, but then often filled in with McD’s because it was cheap and we were broke. It was the pre-Euro days, so some places were cheaper than others depending on the currency.
The biggest thing I’m taking from this is why is David Letterman giving space for her to baby talk about how woke she is and how dedicated to criminal justice she is (when she feels like it) and probably justifying why it’s okay to pretend to be progressive when your husband is trying to start his own religious cult and cozying up to fascists.

We have KFC, Burger King, McDonald’s, Chipotle, Dunkin Donuts, Five Guys… We are sadly invaded by this type of fast food 🙂 but I heard Chipotle is good (considering the rest)
Well, there are Chipotles all around here and they are pretty good.
Always busy but I think it might be more about a ton of food for pretty cheap and it’s fast.
You go through a line and tell the servers what you want on your bowl or burrito.
Usually, chicken, steak or carne asade then choose black beans or pinto beans, rice (white or brown), fajita veggies (yummy), cheese (You can skip whatever you don’t want.) and then move down to the good stuff: guacamole! They do have good guac and it’s no extra charge now and they give you a ladle of it. There are 3 kinds of salsa and chips and sour cream and queso, so, plenty to choose from and most let you order online and pick-up.
It’s very popular. I think I’ve just been spoiled by great Mexican food.

I agreed that she looked liked she gained weight in the yellow dress but then I saw the tight clothes and she still looks very thin- I think it’s just a testament to how unflattering that yellow dress is.

I like to travel abroad and immerse myself in different cultures and dine on their traditional foods. However, I am often curious about their fast food offerings and like to try them at least once to compare with what we are served. I had McDonald’s in Paris and it tasted a lot better than what they serve us in the States. The fries, meat consistency and seasoning were superior to ours. I also had KFC in Dubai and it tasted better over there too.

My husband was sent to Italy (I know, right??) for a few months and the company had a bus that would take whoever wanted to go on a day trip each weekend and the first one my husband went on went to Rome.
Guess where everyone wanted to eat? McDonald’s. Freakin’ McDonald’s.
My husband took his little translator thing and took off and had good Italian food for not much more money.
Two of my men and I were in Kuwait and we ate very well while there but were late getting back one night and stopped at McDonald’s. Tasted the same but after 3 days, I was ready to have that cheeseburger surgically removed.

Yes, to grandma’s fried chicken! Mine made the best too and we can’t replicate it either! And we actually have (and often use) her old cast iron skillets. I guess it’s an art.that can’t be taught!

I know Grandma used that ancient skillet and I know she fried in mostly leftover bacon grease – maybe some Crisco – and I know she soaked the chicken in buttermilk overnight but I don’t know how she got that crust.
She was pure country so salt and pepper and flour was probably all she used. I wish I had paid more attention.
