💕 it’s a girl 💕

A post shared by KATY PERRY (@katyperry) on

I thought we already knew this, but maybe I’m thinking of a different pregnant lady? Katy Perry is expecting a girl this summer. We know that because she announced it with this Instagram, where her baby-daddy Orlando Bloom is covered in pink frosting, looking completely blissed-out and in love with Katy. The frosting makes me wonder if Katy actually threw herself a little gender-reveal party in isolation, and that makes me wonder if she actually invited people over to her house and all of that. Quarantine, Katy!! PS… I absolutely loathe when people smear food on their faces or other people’s faces. I find it the height of rudeness! First of all, IT IS A WASTE OF FOOD. Second of all, gross, it’s sticky!

Katy announced her pregnancy one month ago, but she was pretty far along when she did announce it. People keep saying that she’s due this summer and I believe it. Orlando and Katy were planning their wedding for *just* before Katy’s due date, but they’ve quietly postponed everything. My guess is that they’ll either A) just invite a justice of the peace or minister over to her house and have a low-key ceremony before the baby is born or B) just postpone all of it until next year.

Anyway, I’m happy they’re expecting a girl. Orlando already has a son, Flynn, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr. And I bet Katy wanted a girl!

    Is frosting considered food?

I usually dont eat it so I dont care about wasting it.

But congrats to Kate and Orlando.

I bet they dont get married.

As someone prone to acne I cannot stand it for myself. I don’t even let my husband touch my face if I’m not washing it right after.

    Nonetheless congratulations and stay safe.

    • Lolo86lf says:

it is so hard to never touch your face isn’t it? I try so hard not to do it because of Coronavirus but it must be a compulsion for me.

      • Joanna says:

Yes, it is really hard for me too! I never realized how much I touch my face until now.

      • (TheOG) jan90067 says:

I never realized how often I rest my face in my hand(s) either… or how much I rub my eyes/nose (allergies that NO pill can conquer!).

I think after this is all over, I”m going to have an OCD about washing my hands all the time. I taught 3rd gr. for 30 years, and I thought I used to wash my hands ALL day then!! NOW makes that look like a trifle! 😜

    • Jess says:

Same here, I had terrible acne and was such a picker and a toucher when it came to my face. I finally learned to control myself and my skin cleared up quickly, so now when someone touches my face all I can think about is their greasy bacteria filled fingers causing me to get a big painful pimple for a week!

      • Alexandria says:

Jess yup and I tell my husband not to rub his face against mine…his little facial hair is not pleasant and I can get a zit or inflammation the next day. I wish it weren’t this way but it is what it is.

  3. Lolo86lf says:

Wow, in the main picture she looks like Tomi Lahren. That baby girl is going to be gorgeous having a set of such good looking parents.

  4. David says:

What about all of those babies that dunk their faces in frosting?!?!?!
Eh, there are things far more wasteful. Let’s give them this unless it was strawberries used to color it. Then it’s war!

  5. Lol says:

Poor Orlando, lol. That pic is the beginning and end of their relationship.

  6. grumpyterrier says:

These two are such an odd pair. They don’t seem to go together at all.

    • Allergy says:

I was just thinking that too, they are a strange couple. Even in a movie I would not cast them as a couple! I don’t know why exactly.

    • Jess says:

They really are odd together, but I feel like I don’t really know her, only her over the top stage persona, so maybe she’s completely different in normal life? Or maybe opposites attract?

Edit-that sounds weird saying I don’t know her, of course I don’t know her, but hopefully y’all get my drift, lol.

      • Joanna says:

No, I know what you’re saying. She’s so over the top that she is annoying to me but we always hear how nice she is to her employees.

  7. MattyLove says:

While I find her to be the definition of “extra” and I find her tiresome, I wish them a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby girl, and a long happy life together.

  8. FHMom says:

That blond hair is doing her no favors. Anyhow, congrats to them both. Orlando has a beautiful son and I bet this baby girl will be a beauty, also.

    • AnnaKist says:

Oh, thanks, FHMom, I was thinking the same. I don’t know what it is with these two. I don’t like or dislike them, but, oh, this sounds awful… Usually, pregnant ladies seem to glow, but Katy doesn’t – I hope she’s not unwell. The wig makes her look worse, but interestingly, the pink icing makes him look better.

  9. Flowerpot says:

    Blonde is not her color

  10. MeghanNotMarkle says:

I have never liked her. She has always come across as trying way too hard to be relevant. But I wish her a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. I don’t think any marriage will last, if they ever do get married.

  11. Mika says:

Orlando Bloom is really making a career of putting babies into more successful women.

    • ennie says:

He doesn’t work (much) anymore, but I think that’s saying too much, how old is the older kid? like 8?
that’s a terrible career as gold digger, if you let me say so.

      • Melissa says:

He is also sitting on Pirates, LOTR and Hobbits cash. It’s odd we consider him unsuccessful when he has three huge movie franchises under his belt.

    • Reece says:

I wouldn’t call it a career when it’s baby #2 with two women. When/if he starts pulling a Mick Jagger or the Ecclestone guy then…ok.

@Melissa He also has an Amazon series that came out last year.

    • Summer says:

I have to agree with Melissa. I’m not sure how anyone could consider him unsuccessful. He also just had a series on Amazon. I think Orlando has done just fine.

To add: He’s in one my favorite movies of all time. ‘Elizabethtown’

  12. TheOriginalMia says:

Sweet reveal! Happy for them. I hope the baby has Orlando’s curly mop.

  13. Spicecake38 says:

I don’t like when people smear food of any kind on their own face or on someone else’s-it’s gross.

  14. Hippiechk says:

I mean…if I’m being honest – that looks like shaving cream colored pink. No food waste here.

    • Antonym says:

Agreed. It definitely doesn’t look like the texture of anything I want to eat.

  15. Tuntmore says:

I don’t like either of them, but I hope Katy has a healthy pregnancy.

For some reason I feel like they’re going to be the type of couple that gets along fine when they’re not married but that breaks up within 2 years of the wedding. Sort of like Brangelina.
