Gwyneth Paltrow on Brad Falchuk: ‘It was great to fall in love again at a mature age’

Gwyneth Paltrow posted some photos and video from her garden party launch of several Goop-branded products over the weekend. She’s not only launching GOOPGENES, her skincare line, but she’s also got a new “season” of her G. Label Dress Collection. Blythe Danner and Apple Martin were at the party and they were all wearing G. Label dresses, I assume. Gwyneth only posted the photos which were most flattering… of her. Also, in the video? I don’t think she wanted Apple to be on camera very much even though Apple did want to be on-camera. Interesting mother-daughter dynamic! Apple is gorgeous.

Meanwhile, did you know that Gwyneth Paltrow wasn’t simply the first person to ever get a divorce, she was also the first person to ever remarry in her 40s?

Gwyneth Paltrow is counting her ‘lucky’ stars to have found love again after her divorce from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The Academy Award-winning actress, who admits her amicable split from Martin in 2014 after a decade of marriage was ‘hard to swallow’, had thought she might never experience another special romance in her lifetime.

‘It was great to fall in love again at a mature age. It was a wonderful surprise and I didn’t necessarily think that it would happen for me and I got very, very, very lucky – very lucky,’ the Goop businesswoman, 47, recently revealed to Heat! Magazine. With some careful thought and introspection, the mother of two confessed she learned some life lessons when she fell in love again after turning 40.

‘So I’m very, very grateful and I think when it happens to you when you’re a bit older in life you place a value and an importance on it that you don’t do when you’re in your 20s because you don’t know the difference at that age.’

‘I’m very much the marrying kind. I love being a wife. I love making a home,’ the Shakespeare In Love star revealed about her personality. Paltrow and Martin have remained friendly and have made it a priority to put their children first as co-parents. In fact, over time, they’ve had blended family outings with Falchuk’s two children and Martin’s girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson.

‘It’s been amazing,’ she proudly professed. ‘I don’t think I would define myself as a trendsetter. but I suppose if I look back at everything I’ve said and done I guess I am in a certain way.’

[From The Daily Mail]

I wouldn’t call myself a trendsetter but other people call me that and I am. I wouldn’t say I invented yoga but I invented yoga. I didn’t really invent divorce but when I got a divorce, it was the biggest and most important thing to ever happen and I did, in fact, invent it.

As for the Brad Falchuk stuff… it’s still amazing to me that Gwyneth was allowed to completely whitewash her affair with Falchuk and the fact that their affair ended both of their marriages. It even seems like his kids f–king hate her. That was what all of the “Brad and Gwyneth don’t live together” stuff was about – his kids didn’t want to move in with their stepmother.

Three generations of skin try @goop’s two newest GOOPGENES products. They are: All-in-One Nourishing Face Cream and All-in-One Nourishing Eye Cream and like all goop products they are high-performance and results-driven. We clinically tested the shit out of these two products. The Nourishing Face Cream has Schisandra fruit, illipe butter, caviar lime, and squalene – highly active botanicals for ultramoisturized, soft, supple, smooth, firm, and even-toned skin. And the Nourishing Eye cream helps firm and smooth the appearance of crow’s-feet and fine lines, reducing the appearance of puffiness, and dark circles. Whether you’re an Apple or a Blythe or an in-between like me, we made these products for everyone. Clean. Holistic. Results-Driven. She was 31 when she got married to Chris Martin. Hardly an immature kid.

  2. MrsRobinson says:

That video gives me second-hand embarrassment. Wow, she’s really shilling…

  3. JEM says:

    Insufferable.

  4. Izzy says:

I think so poorly of Falchuk. His kids are clearly very hurt by his actions and he ignored their feelings and emotional needs. Piss-poor parenting.

  5. Trashaddict says:

    Barf.

  6. Jaded says:

She grates on my last nerve. Supercilious cheese straw.

  7. MaryContrary says:

Interesting that she never mentions what kind of relationship she has with Brad’s ex-wife. Because if it was positive she’d be all over that too. She in completely up her own butt-insufferable. Also-her mother is gorgeous, and that photo of her is awful-Gwyneth sucks for putting up such a crappy pic.

    • Bibi says:

You’re right – she makes it sound super important that Dakota has to be positively involved etc yet no words on flachuks wife. And kids in law.
Also, I can feel how hard it is for her to be showing a cream and saying “fine lines and wrinkles”, she’s of course off camera at that moment and the video only show her beautiful daughter’s partial face or in a way where we can’t see her clearly because Gwyneth has to be the focus and Apple CANNOT be the center of it, she held the camera absolutely still when her daughter came close but she moved the camera freely to show because mom, because mom came with kinda of a bad hairday so it’s ok lol sorry Blythe.

It’s totally mature to cheat on your spouse with the the spouse of someone else.

  9. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

Maturity doesn’t sell its vaginal scent, stick jade in it or can only talk about, sell and claim itself as an everything first.

  10. Lena says:

I don’t know that Gwyneth cheated on chris Martin. I really think they were separated earlier than they ever admitted in the press. That was why she moved back to LA from the best place to raise kids (England). Brad F’s marriage twas a different story. I agree if it was any good at all with his ex wife she’d be promoting it like “we are BFFs don’t you know. And I love his kids like my own!”

    • Kate says:

None of us *know* know but there were very specifically worded blinds back when it was happening in real time

      • A says:

It sounds like Chris had other relationships when they were married – Kate Bosworth for one. And it seemed pretty confirmed that Gwyneth had a relationship with some hotelier while married…I want to say Andre Balaz.

I’m sure at the time she convinced herself that open marriages were the evolved thing to do, but couldn’t share with the plebs as we wouldn’t understand.

    • Berlin says:

Goop started with Failsafe when she guested in 2010 on Glee right when Chris was messing around with other people too. So, when Goop and Chuk ‘came out’ in 2015 to us lucky people in the real world, they were already together for a few years. She would cry ‘the children will be hurt’ when any magazine (Vanity Fair’) wanted to expose the real timeline. Failsafe’s wife is said to be, still, devasted and his kids do hate her.

  11. lucy2 says:

“After her divorce” Hahahahaha. Girl, we all know.

I’ll give her credit for being on good terms with her ex husband, that’s best for her kids. I’m sorry for Falchuk’s kids though, if they are understandably unhappy.

  12. Erin Gisby-Fears says:

Side note about the actual product, couldn’t the GOOP marketing department do better than just rip of Sunday Riley’s GoodGenes ? GOOPgenes doesn’t even make sense other than the obvious competitor reference that I’m sure many of her followers use.

  13. Granger says:

GOOPgenes implies (to me, anyway) that if we use the product, we’ll have skin like Gwyneth’s. As in, her skin is all due to good Goop genes. But there is nothing special about Gwyneth’s skin that would make me want to buy skin care products from her. She looks like any other late-40s woman I know. Which isn’t a bad thing–I actually appreciate that she hasn’t had noticeable plastic surgery on her face–but I just don’t think she’s a poster child for good skin.

  14. Grace London says:

I’m old enough to remember the blind items on this site back in 2010 of their affair on the set of glee. I can’t believe she had the gall to whitewash it either. I saw one photo of all the kids together. They did look happy. It was in a helicopter or something but it’s the only photo I’ve seen. She really loves herself
