Which Cambridge kid has the biggest chaotic goth energy in a new KP video?

cambridge atten

Fresh off an international incident involving an ancient fossil heisted from Malta and what I assume was a series of frantic calls between diplomats in Britain and Malta, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are here to change the subject. They want you to focus on their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. All of whom are legitimately adorable. But yeah, I’m still not going to forget about how Sir David Attenborough stole fossils from Malta and then gave his stolen property to the heir to the crown. But hey, cute kids! Look over there!

This is the first time I’ve ever heard the kids speak and their little British accents are super-cute. Charlotte-loving-spiders gives me Big Wednesday Addams Energy and I love it. I could see her having a goth phase and freaking out those musty old courtiers by stomping around the palace in Doc Martens and purple hair. Something else: do ALL of the kids have brown eyes? That’s such an odd trick of genetics given William’s blue eyes and Kate’s hazel eyes.

So, George’s question is “what animal do you think will become extinct next?” Which is also pretty goth. Charlotte’s question is “I like spiders, do you like spiders too?” And poor Louis, his energy is “I just crashed this interview before doing a cannonball into a lake.” His question was “What animal do you like?” Again, this is yet another palace-approved promotion for… David Attenborough’s latest NETFLIX documentary, A Life on This Planet. It’s so shameful to see Netflix blatantly profit from people with royal titles.

  1. Digital Unicorn says:

Those kids are cute but yeah Cain and Unable are using them for good PR and to feed the press beast. Imagine the outrage if the Sussex’s did this with Archie and yeah the blatant Netflix promotion – someone is ‘incandescent’ over his ‘why don’t i have a multi million dollar Netflix deal?’.

And of course *crickets* from the UK press and RR’s over this!!!! They are all soo stupid that they are so oblivious to the fact that EVERYONE can see their hypocrisy and are starting to call them out on it. While the media have yet to turn on the Cambridges, most of the public have started to.

    • equality says:

Archie hasn’t been seen outside of a charity video on his birthday and there are still accusations about profiting off of him, while the Cambridges seem to be constantly pushing their children forward. The double standards are annoying.

      • Mumbles says:

I admire the Sussexes protecting Archie but I wouldn’t call three or four events in the past six months or so (this video, the photos from Attenborough’s visit, the NHS clap, and the photos of the kids doing deliveries) as “constantly.”

      • Tealie says:

@mumbles considering how strict they used to be against their privacy and the fact we didn’t see Louis for a year and a half these phots are ALOT, we have basically gotten one each week and even sometimes more, whenever they need to distract from a scandal.

      • Nic919 says:

They used to only show pictures for birthdays and family photos were months older than when they were released, so even showing them once a month is much more than they ever did until around the time Harry got married. Louis in particular is being seen much more and much earlier than George ever was at the same age. The change in protectiveness is very noticeable.

    • Tessa says:

I really think the Cambridges should not trot out the children that way. I don’t recall the young William and Harry as little kids giving talks to the media. I think this will backfire with this excessive PR using the children.

      • Bibi says:

I totally agree Tessa. The cambridges should
not be using the kids this way. It just seems to me that they just use anything to make them bigger. Desperate famewhoring: i foresee the sussex will be launching some type of social media for them to be throwing the kids out since thats now all they got so they can get a make follows as possible (and adding the bots at the same time)

And of course they know the sussex will get backlash from not famewhoring Archie of course.

  2. Seraphina says:

Of course let’s focus on the kids which they always scream need their privacy. (MASSIVE EYE ROLL). And the sad part is that I read some brilliant ideas from CB readers on how they could do massive repair and great PR work to remedy this, but alas a video featuring their kids is the route they chose. See how they start them young???? Let’s throw the kids at them to take everyone’s eyes off the real issue. Classical conditioning.

    • Tessa says:

This to me is too much stage parent business. The children were no doubt coached by their parents beforehand.

      • mytwocents says:

Tessa, exactly, each were told what to say, there is no way George cares about ‘extinction’ lol and even if Charlotte does care about spiders, most likely they told her to say it because it sounds cute.

      • Argus says:

@MyTwoCents: why is it so unbelievable that George cares about animals going extinct? My 6 year old loves orangutans and is very worried about them disappearing from the face of the Earth as they are a critically endangered species. And a lot of his friends from school love spiders and snakes. Many schools here in the UK have Zoo lab sessions right from the nursery years where they bring in spiders, geckos and even non poisonous snakes to interact with the children. Children are much more aware than we give them credit for. There are many things to criticise the Cambridges about but raising healthy, curious children doesn’t appear to be one of them.

      • Tessa says:

I agree it’s great for children to be curious. But why not let the little children get some privacy. I think the Cambridges should give more privacy to these kids and not trot them out for PR. I could have lived my life without knowing that the children love spiders and snakes. But I think it is better not to treat them like child actors and bring them out with rehearsed lines. As they grow up they may not like it that much and want their own private time and not let the world know about their likes and dislikes. My two cents.

      • Argus says:

@Tessa: Sir David Attenborough is a living legend. These lucky kids got a chance to interact with a bonafide naturalist who has brought an appreciation of Nature into many million lives. It’s not like they are being trotted out to shill cosmetics and designer wear. Let the cute little kids have their moment, one they will surely treasure long after he is gone.

      • Tessa says:

I would not have had it aired around the world. Just my take on it. They are still little children who should have privacy.

      • Lady D says:

I think any parent would coach their child before they went on a video for the whole world to see. They would want their child to do well, and if the child does screw up, they will be mocked for an eternity for it. Or you could get a child that would just stand there and say nothing or only look at the ground.
Yes, a 7 year old would absolutely be interested in animals and their potential demise. I know a four year old that can name 20 different dinosaurs by picture or description. He did better than I did.

      • BabsORIG says:

@Argus, Naaahhh hmh hmh you grasping. The Cambridges and ALL the Cambstans have perfected this to a t. now, LOL.😁😁 The Cambridge kids don’t need to be trotted out for nobody, not even for Attenborough. Let the kids decide, when they are old enough, whether they want to be in the limelight or not. William of all people should know this since he carried on and on about how he hated being pushed into the limelight when he was still a kid. Hasn’t the Cambridges alway given William and Harry’s overexposure as kids as reason why they wanted so much privacy for George and the Charlotte yadda yadda yadda? So what has changed now to make them start acting like pageant parents famewhoring their kids like this? Such hypocrisy from both the Cambridges and their Cambstans.

  3. tee says:

This was a very cute and well done video. And yeah, it is strange the efforts they’ve gone to promote this documentary. Exclusive content of the kids speaking adorably for the first time, and it’s not to support either one of their projects? We have to be missing something.

    • Becks1 says:

That’s what I think is so weird about this. So now we clearly see they do know how to use their kids to promote a project – just not their projects. Is this all about tying Attenborough to the Earthshot prize and William’s documentary? So just one big promotional blitz?

Maybe this is why KP was so triggered over the Sussexes Netflix deal? It looks like they’re copying them? (Cams copying the Sussexes)

The kids are cute, but that’s a given.

    • Nic919 says:

I agree. I don’t see how this Attenborough Netflix show is any different from all the other nature shows he’s done. It’s not really worth getting the kids out to promote someone else’s show.

Maybe if this was for Heads Together or Kate’s thing for poor kids that doesn’t exist this would make more sense.

      • Amy Bee says:

The Earthshot Prize relaunches this week and William’s own documentary comes out tomorrow. I think they’re using Attenborough to beef up William environment credentials. Plus they have to keep the press satisfied after losing the Sussexes.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

People are already confused. Commenters elsewhere seem to be confusing documentaries. That William did a collaboration with Sir DA. I think this was the desired outcome because William’s doc/reality tv/blatant self promotion is already crumbling and he needs some legit name to latch onto.

What windy river said! That’s what I get for not refreshing a page.

And yeah. The kids are PR tools. Every since they were legit negotiating tools during that meeting.

      • windyriver says:

I see we all posted the same idea about the same time!

@Wiglet Watcher, an even better point about the confusion over whether William actually was collaborating with Attenborough.

It’s a cute and well done video. But there’s a difference between teaching children about what their future duties/responsibilities will entail, and trotting them out for PR purposes for their parents. Pretty soon the kids will be old enough to understand the difference. We’ll see what happens then.

      • Nic919 says:

William’s documentary about the environment will be cameras following William around (except when he gardens) as he navel gazes about nature ignoring his massive carbon foot print and hunting for pleasure. Toss in more shots of the kids so people can coo and forget that William’s personal actions and lifestyle will do more damage to the environment than a thousand of regular people put together.

    • windyriver says:

In typical fashion, I think it’s all about William hitchhiking on Attenborough’s reputation to up his own environmental credentials. Based on past activities, I doubt William cares about either Earthshot or his own documentary enough to have an actual plan to promote either of them; all of these things are to make him look like he’s a player in the environmental space. He doesn’t care which one gets that result as long as something is effective overall in giving the impression he’s doing something important.

    • BeanieBean says:

Attenborough’s gotten other celebrities to ask similar questions of him. It’s all part of the publicity for his series.

  4. Noki says:

Awww Charlotte has the accent that her Mommy tries to perfect.

    • Nic919 says:

I noted that all the kids are more comprehensible with their accent than Kate.

    • Hannah says:

I watched a clip of Ginger Spice (Geri Horner) from 1997 and then, in the same interview, we see her today in her new Aristo Wannabe role with her “fake toff” accent and I swear she sounded exactly like Kate. Fake. Fakety. Fake. Even the Camb kids and William don’t sound as posh as Kate lol

      • Noki says:

Oh yes Geri has definitely revamped to lady of the manor. Reminds me of Madonna when she was going through her english country side phase.

  5. Amy Bee says:

The Sussexes are not there anymore for William and Kate to serve up to the press so they have to give them the next best thing, the children.

    • Oh says:

And keenbridg fans have the nerve to say Meghan and Harry are using Archie as PR….. We all know who is the one who uses their children as PR

      • clomo says:

It’s so bad, I defended the Sussexes on another site and got shat on, only for saying they don’t deserve all the nastiness. It’s sad so many unhappy haters have singled them out of all the people in the world. It has to be some sort of jealousy, it brings out people’s ugliest sides.

    • Noki says:

But why is the presss so scared pf William?I am sure they have a lot of dirt on him.

      • Amy Bee says:

The press has always had an arrangement with the Royal Family, they give access and exclusives to press in exchange for silence on their dirt.

      • Becks1 says:

William threatens with lawyers a LOT. Harry has started using lawyers more, but I think that’s bc he reached his breaking point. William never had a breaking point.

Example: Emily Andrews tweeted that she was threatened by W’s lawyers over the “Kate got a free gift” story this week.

      • JT says:

@Becks1 Why does the press fight back harder against them though? They eviscerated Meghan over nail polish and avocados, while W&K threaten to sue over the very true story of Kate excepting freebies. The press would have even more control of them and credibility if they let some of these negative stories ride. W&K have been getting too big for the britches for too long and I just don’t understand why they don’t take them down a peg or two. I get Will is the heir and is protected but the press has got to be seething that they backed the wrong horse, especially as the Cambridge’s aren’t really receiving that much attention as of late. And why is Emily the one who is constantly threatened with law suits? This the third time by now?

      • February-Pisces says:

I think it goes a lot deeper than we think. I’m pretty sure all of the heads of every British media corporation have cut some sort of deal with Kensington palace that works both ways. I think all the heads of bbc, itv, daily mail etc have definitely been promised knight hoods, if they don’t already have them, as long as they are compliant. Not to mention, money, leaks and access. I think that’s what piers Morgan is aiming for, a knighthood, and if he gets one, we will know why. Every broadcaster and reporter has to play along if they want to keep their jobs, so no one is challenging them, because these people are too powerful. No reporter can defend Meghan in print or tv, because they would be black listed and lose their jobs.

      • JT says:

@Feb. but those knighthoods would be sometime away though right? Is Charles giving them any knighthoods? If they are waiting for will to give them that’ll be maybe 20 years before they could get them. I personally think W&k make the BM look like fools. All the Cambridge’s give them are silly photo ops and dumb quotes, which isn’t really working anymore. They get no coverage, especially in these times. Even the kids are getting as much attention as they used to. The press have to resort to mentioning H&M In every story if they want a few days of coverage.

      • February-Pisces says:

@jt I think Willie would pull whatever strings he needed to pull to get what he wants, most likely by throwing another tantrum. I think the honours system is definitely corrupt. But the Cambridge’s are running dry so what resources do they have left to keep the beast fed?

  6. Züri says:

“Let’s ride (ahem, exploit) this Attenborough wave for PR as long as we can.”

    Those kiddos are very cute.

  7. Edna says:

Adorable kids and this is the first time I’ve heard them speak. But I agree with others that the children are being used to feed the PR beast. (And you can understand what the kids are saying better than when Kate garbles in her fake posh accent.)

  8. Nancy says:

I don’t really see a problem with this. Cute kids. Makes sense to do something for/with David Attenborough – he’s a national treasure and icon.

  9. Oh says:

letterly every week we see these kids at this point…. I think next week we will see them do zoom call Lol

    • AnnaKist says:

I wonder if this is going to be a regular PR move by them. Once upon a time, when the arrows came their way because of cluelessness or laziness, out would come “an adorable photo taken by The Duchess of Cambridge herself”. Then we’d be treated to an album’s worth of feel-good , fuzzy and warm photos of the kids playing in a garden, playground, nature corner, sensory walk specially designed by Duchess Catherine, so cognisant is she of safe play areas for all children. That was 2D Kate. Then we got the 3D treatment – colour AND movement by way of videos. This is upping the ante. Maybe less people are buying whatever it is they’re selling.

      • Nic919 says:

It’s diminishing returns anyway as the kids will get older and not be as cute and it will be less of a novelty.

  10. ABritGuest says:

Adorable kids and Louis is the cutest- was a really nice video. I do think the Cambridges have found quite comfortable ways to have them out there recently like with the garden video and pictures. I only hope they manage to avoid the sense of ownership for the Cambridge kiddies that weird royalists types have over Harry.

Quite the turnaround from the Cambridges though-i bet the royal rota are like remember the days we had to beg for kid pictures& when William was determined to protect their privacy as was said around the Diana documentary interviews in 2017. He must hate this really. Not sure even the kids are enough though- this didn’t make as much of a splash as you’d expect and was on maybe 2 front pages from the paper review I saw-maybe as coronavirus cases are rising in the U.K.

So celebs like David Beckham, Billie Eiglish, Dame Judi Dench also did Q&As to promote Attenborough’s Netflix documentary like the Cambridges. So being ‘Hollywood’ is ok now and Netflix isn’t the enemy? Interesting..

    • equality says:

I’m afraid it’s too late for the “sense of ownership” thing. There are Instagram accounts devoted to just posting any pictures of the children. It’s kind of creepy to see people so obsessed with somebody else’s children.

      • Nic919 says:

Look at what the press did when Meghan didn’t want to present Archie lion king style. They saw the baby the next day so there was no reason for that crazy behaviour.

      • windyriver says:

It looks like Lacey has things in his book about what supposedly went on behind the scenes re: Archie’s birth/christening. I assume we’ll read about it here in the next day or two. Suffice it to say, it’s hard to top the RF, the Firm and their acolytes for their ability to spout impressive sounding total BS when things don’t go their way.

  11. Aurora says:

Kate is doing more to promote this documentary she had nothing to do with than she did for that recent portrait project. It’s like she just gave up on the portrait thing at the home stretch and we haven’t heard anything else about it.

  12. Elizabeth says:

Well David Attenborough what do you think was and is the biggest driver of species loss?

Could it be … western colonialism and corresponding industrialization? Those gorillas weren’t just mysteriously suddenly declining.

    • Nic919 says:

Excellent question and one never to be posed by the inheritors of those who destroyed those various ecosystems for the sake of British empire.

    • Amy Bee says:

He thinks it’s population growth especially in the Global South and like William and Philip, believes in eugenics.

      • Seraphina says:

Birds of a feather do flock together. Of course they are of the same mindset because if they weren’t, Wills would not have entertained this idea.

    • K.T says:

Yup, scientists have been yelling at him for a decade to be clear and helpful at discussing climate change and bio-collapse but he’s wilfully egotistical and untruthful while being seen as a white saviour of tv-animals. That’s why cute princelets & princessans are about the right speed🤦🏻‍♀️

  13. Laalaa says:

Which a-mi-mal do you like? – is going to be my catch-phrase from now on.
That video made me super happy, because Sir David gave amazing answers, very kid appropriate!
    The kids are adorable

  14. Aurora says:

Attenborough seems to be the only Celebrity that can stand to be around this couple long enough to collaborate in any meaningful way. Maybe everyone else has caught onto how they latch themselves onto other people’s work for PR?

    • Nic919 says:

He probably feels he has to since he got a knighthood from gramma and he’s old school enough to still think royals matter beyond that little island. Also he likes eugenics so he’s not the lefty environmentalist people might think he would be.

  15. ce says:

We have strong, dominant, blue-eyed Irish genes on my mom’s side of the family, and nearly all my dozens of cousins on her side are blue-eyed. My dad steamrolled that with his Cuban genes, so myself and all my siblings have Brown eyes. Genetics are funny like that!

    • Elizabeth Phillips says:

Yeah, eye genetics are weird. I used to work as a nanny for a family where the Dad has blue eyes and the Mom has hazel eyes. The older boy has brown eyes and the younger boy has blue eyes. You never know how it’s going to turn out. If there’s one brown dot, the children can have brown eyes.

  16. Lizzie says:

David Attenborough, do you have any more fossils that jumped into your suitcase and you brought home?

  17. LW says:

“Amimal”!! I love toddlers and he’s adorable! They all are.

    • Lightpurple says:

They didn’t even try to have him say “Attenborough” like the other two. Just rolled on into “what amimal do you like?” as he pulls apart a branch.

    • HeyJude says:

      That was adorable.

I really hope Louis and Charlotte are taken better care of and thought about more than Harry was as the spares. They seem like sweet kids.

  18. A says:

Doesn’t Charlotte have dark grey eyes? I don’t see brown in them, the way George’s and Louis’ are

  19. Frida_K says:

Maybe I am fusty but I was a little surprised that the children called him by his first name. It is strange to hear children that small calling an elderly person by the first name.

It’s wonderful that Charlotte likes spiders, though.

  20. Sofia says:

This was really cute but honestly, imagine if Kate did something like this during lockdown with the kids making a list of activities they like to do or something. This was the kind of thing they could have done.

  21. bluemoonhorse says:

Have they stopped using the helicopter to save the planet yet? Otherwise, yawn.

  22. JT says:

So does William just not care whether his own documentary does well or not? Is it so bad that he’s trying to divert attention away from it? Or does Will think that if his name is associated with David’s doc people will think it’s also his as well? I just don’t understand why he hasn’t been promoting his own film that is out next week? All of this effort W&K have expended to hype up David’s work is unnecessary when he has the likes of Beckham, Dench, and others promoting it. Who is advising them? What PR person would advise them to ignore their own work in favor of someone else’s? I guess they want to be associated with Netflix too. Will and Kate are a bunch of single white females.

  23. Busyann says:

I know they are children, I know, I know, but they creep me out a little. They dont seem like kids, they seem like little rehearsed actors. Anyway, I just woke up and probably make little sense.

George’s voice was deeper than I was expecting and gave me big Charles energy, Charlotte is cute and I kept thinking Kate must be thrilled that her only daughter sounds so cute, elegant, and posh, and Louis, is adorable.

    • Tessa says:

They probably had to rehearse this. They should be allowed to be average children and have some space after this.

    • bevhead says:

Have your parents never asked you to do anything as a kid? Lol what is with the insane negativity at this website? First everyone was saying, “Is Charlotte not allowed to like science? Why is she so far from Attenborough?” Now she likes spiders and everyone is like why is she being coached?

Probably because they’re the royal family? I think a video filmed by their mom or assistant on a phone is preferable to them forced to speak in front of the media. Did everyone melt down when Megan was reading to Archie? This is all staged!

I also think that too much secrecy around the kids would make the fascination with them even more intense. At least if they release a video every 3 months on their own terms, maybe they buy some privacy elsewhere. I’m not gonna pretend I understand Britain’s insane fascination with royals, but I also imagine managing this relationship is pretty challenging for everyone.

      • Tessa says:

OH but there was a meltdown with that clip of Meghan reading to Archie. I was horrified at some of the comments, accusing Meghan of using her son to get attention, saying unkind things about what Archie was wearing, complaining about Meghan holding him. and accusing Meghan of not letting Harry hold Archie. Such outrage. It illustrates that there is are different standards for the Sussexes and the Cambridges. No new pictures of Archie have been released since them and I don’t blame the parents.

      • Oh says:

But Archie wasn’t trained in sentences to say on camera, nor was Archie used as PR to promote his parents’ projects. That’s the difference.

      • Tessa says:

I think of course Archie’s parents wanted to release photos because they thought some might be interested and proud of their son. Unfortunately it was not appreciated by some who for some reason did not care for the child.

  24. MiniP says:

I think they were darling. The Cambridge’s have always tastefully included clips of kids into their social media, and this was another example. I don’t bash on lil kids.

    • Tessa says:

It’s not the adorable children’s fault. I blame the parents it seems that the children are getting trotted out a lot. Diana and Charles were very judicious and I don’t recall their young children giving talks to the media.

    • Nic919 says:

No one is bashing the kids here if you learned how to read. They are commenting on the drastic change in how the Cambridge parents expose their kids to media and public which is a contrast to how they acted before Harry married Meghan.

      • Linda says:

        @Nic919
Did you have to insult the commenter to make your point?

      • Khia says:

        @Nic919
        STOP

      • Q says:

I don’t see any bashing either? People are complimenting the kids for being ‘cute’, which all kids in this world are.

      • Nic919 says:

Making false accusations about what is being said in the comments is gaslighting and I will call it out. Properly reading the comments would have avoided this lie. It is massively disingenuous to pretend this wasn’t anything other than insulting the people who had already posted here and trying to pretend children were being criticized. Which is an absolute lie.

      • Gingerbee says:

Agreed Nic. Before, the kids were barely seen, except for few pictures taken on the birthdays. Linda, no one bashing any commenters on here.

    • bevhead says:

I agree this was very tasteful. I think it’s understandable for the royals to use social media to show a bit of the kid’s lives rather than a medium they have less control of.

  25. Lucylee says:

Small children calling a 94 yo man by is first name is very disturbing.

    • Nic919 says:

I am surprised they didn’t call him Sir David but I blame William and Kate entirely for that. They can’t be bothered to follow the etiquette that they require others to follow about invented titles.

    • bevhead says:

Disturbing? Really? This must be a british thing.

      • HeyJude says:

Nah, I’m an American and if my kids address a nonagenarian (and perhaps the most legendary living man in his field today at that) in any way other than formally I’d be appalled and they’d be getting a talking to.

        It’s just basic manners.

      • Feeshalori says:

I remember when l was small, l grew up addressing close older friends of the family as aunt and uncle. It was just a natural thing to do it seemed. When I got older and asked my mom why, she said because it’s the polite thing to do. I wonder if William and Kate said the same thing to their children, but I get the impression that they did not. I don’t blame the children in this case, it’s the parents who have to school them in manners.

  26. Merricat says:

Children are a safe bet, and I’m pretty sure they gave Louis that question to ask so everyone could hear how cutely he mispronounced the word “animal.” Savvy use of Royal family to promote a media event. The inconsistencies and double standards continue apace.

  27. Tessa says:

I read about children who were taken to auditions with stage parents and had to be trotted out in the public to rehearse. I know the children are cute but sometimes children grow up and resent being pushed forward to the media that way.

  28. Harper says:

Divert! Divert! Incoming bad press about stolen shark tooth, so quick, let’s haul out Kate’s Cuties so that will be the latest Attenborough association in everyone’s minds. Does anyone else think William has now changed his tune from “protecting my children’s privacy” to “unlike my brother and his harpy wife, I am happy to share my children with the people of the UK”?

    • Tessa says:

I do agree with you. William is so obvious. I hope he does not overdo it, those children will rebel as they get older at being thrust into the spotlight. I don’t recall any recent royal parents Trotting out their children so frequently.

Cute kids, that’s all I’ve got.

    • lemonylips says:

me too. although poor charlotte looking at someone next to the camera…. this is a horribly shot and edited video. maybe kate did it.

      • Amy Too says:

Charlotte sounded pretty nervous, talking so quickly. Reminded me of when I was a kid and HATED speaking in public to the class or talking to adults that weren’t my close family. I would also speak very quickly and often forgot to breathe. I guess she could have been excited though and not nervous, but I saw nervous.

I remember she also looked really shy and overwhelmed at the kids’ first Christmas walkabout. Maybe she’s not ready for this kind of thing, but they seem to treat George and Charlotte like a unit who always have to do things together when George is ready to do them. Except the future king pudding photo shoots. George is at an age where he might be ready for this sort of stuff and Louis is at an age where he doesn’t even know what he’s doing, but Charlotte is at a pretty vulnerable and shy age. There’s probably a reason they didn’t have 4 or 5 year old George out doing walkabouts and speaking to the camera for videos. But now that he’s old enough to do it, they’re going to make Charlotte do it too. It’s almost like she’s his little wife or consort or something and they think she should be out there supporting him.

      • Tessa says:

George is only 7 I don’t think he should be out there with these videos either. None of them should. They should be doing things like show and tell in school to their classmates and learning that way. I don’t see George as ready. They should be allowed to be children and have privacy and be with their friends.

      • Amy Too says:

“Ready” as in George seems to be more comfortable walking around, meeting people, shaking hands, being photographed or video’d, and asking his question of David Attenborough on camera. He seems to be okay with what he’s doing and doesn’t look scared or worried. Whether or not I think a 7 year old is ready to be fed to the toxic media so often is different.

My kid was “ready” to have his own cell phone when he was 8 years old in the sense that he wanted one, and knew how to use one, and thought he should have one, but I still didn’t buy him one when he was 8 just because he claimed to be ready. There were other factors that he wasn’t considering when he claimed to be ready for a phone that, as an adult, I knew about and could consider.

    • Mette says:

Cute kids! I’m not getting any goth vibes.

  30. Mich says:

Cute kids. Cute video. Important topic.

Opening the door to the press this way…not so sure.

  31. AndaPanda says:

I’m obsessed with BBC nature docs so I’ll be watching. I’ve visited the British museum and the amount of stolen cultural artifacts is so astounding it was hard to enjoy it. Kids are cute. They are hypocrites and that is all.

  32. Jessica says:

I was on the Cambridge wagon, I’ll admit it. But with them being gone…. there is a suspicious lack of negative stories. This combined with the Cambridge’s obvious onslaught…. I think my mind has changed.

  33. Mariane says:

Louis is so adorable😍but he seems to have a lisp or that’s just him being new to speaking. I hope the keenbridges are ready to continue trotting their kids for good publicity. They already overused their only asset that it hasnt made any impact in world coverage. I doubt their Christmas pictures is even going to make a difference. I’ve seen more reports on harry’s marathon speech than this
As for David’s documentary. I’ve lost all respect for him after I read the articles shared by the sussex fans online where he made racisrs comments about africans breeding like animals and what not. I cant believe I fell for his fake harmless senior image

  34. dawnchild says:

If you substitute the BRF for ‘mountain gorillas’ in the first answer, it’s hilarious!! 😀

‘You put them on television, and people give money, and soon there are thousands’

Yes, George, the animals most in danger of extinction is the BRF!

  35. NotSoSimpleTaylor says:

I really really want Charlotte to rebel against it all. I want Charlotte and her great Aunt Anne to become the best of friends. Anne has always had a similar goth energy about her too.

  36. Molly says:

William and Kate have to pay up…..you didn’t think the UK media was doing all of that anti Meghan/Harry stuff for free, did you? One can only hope that could enjoy their childhood just a little bit longer. If the monarch survives their lives will be miserable especially George and Charlotte. I think Louis is going to have a carefree life watching his sister and brother fight it out….in the media. Little cute MIDDLETONS

  37. HeyJude says:

George has really seemed quite over being a royal since he was born, he always seems like he’s ready to get the pomp over with. (Like when he was little and had to do that meet-n-greet on the tarmac and was not loving it.) I kind of like that though, because he might turn out to be a little bit of a royal rebel which they desperately need more of.

Charlotte’s got some sassy energy to her I think. But she definitely seems to be the best at these public appearances of the 3 thus far.

Louis is still at that adorable amimals and pasghettis stage. But strikes me as very easy natured.

  38. Eenie Googles says:

George’s question is amazing tho. Lol

    • Tessa says:

His parents probably coached him. It was not spontaneous, it was a well rehearsed PR move.

  39. Sass says:

Louis is so darling. Those eyebrows. I could eat him. 😍

  40. twoz says:

I was hoping he’d respond in kind by using their first names – alas no.

  41. Keira Lee says:

But it is a lie that no species will go extinct. They do, every day. And the solution is not to focus people’s attention on saving one species but to stop poisoning the planet in all the ways we do.

    • Molly says:

It was both a ridiculous question and answer. It’s akin to “how do we stop people from dying”
      Something are beyond man’s understanding.

  42. Brucie Izard says:

Charlotte has better taste than her mother…
