“Taylor Swift also licensed one of her songs for the Democrats” links

Taylor Swift, like Eminem, licensed one of her songs to the Biden-Harris campaign as well. I’m happy she’s getting involved. [Jezebel]
Donald Trump called into Fox & Friends this morning and he’s spending his Election Day just wallowing in self-pity. [Buzzfeed]
Marisa Tomei handed out cookies to voters at Dodgers Stadium![GFY]
Donald Trump’s Nazi supporters defiled a Jewish cemetary. [Towleroad]
Is Khloe Kardashian pregnant? Nah. [JustJared]
I’m enjoying The Undoing but I wish they hadn’t dumped so much information into the last four minutes of the second episode. [Pajiba]
Rihanna was apparently filming a music video, huh. [LaineyGossip]
Georges Hobeika’s spring collection is… a lot. [Tom & Lorenzo]
Rest in peace, Sean Connery. [Dlisted]
NBC is already done with Connecting? LOL. [Seriously OMG]

I love this ad, I’ve watched it so many times since it came out a couple weeks ago. Don’t know why but I find it hopeful

    • Liz version 700 says:

I did too. It is fantastic. She is growing into a really fierce woman. Good for her!

    • Liz version 700 says:

I did too. It is fantastic.

    • Alarmjaguar says:

      Same, it makes me cry!

    • Agirlandherdog says:

Wow. This is the first time I’ve seen it. It’s the most powerful political ad I’ve ever seen. And Biden’s ads lately have been amazing. The image selection, the arrangement… whoever is directing these ads deserves an award. Are political ads eligible for Clios?

I, too, find it very hopeful. I’ve watched it three times. It makes me feel joyful.

    • SusieQ says:

Same. I’ve watched it on repeat all day. It gives me hope when Biden says, “You’re going to be ok. We’re going to be ok.”

  2. Diana says:

Taylor has grown up a lot in the last few years. Proud of the woman she is becoming!!

  3. Kaylove says:

Oh man, this had me in tears!

    • Northerngirl says:

      Me too! And I’m Canadian!.

      • Snazzy says:

Me three! And a Canadian living in Europe!! I haven’t lived on that side of the world in 18 years and I’m all teary

      • HoofRat says:

Another Canadian here, trying desperately not to bawl like a baby. I have deep American roots on my dad’s side of the family, and the beautiful faces of those protesters give me hope that I will someday be able to be proud of that heritage again.

      • Charfromdarock says:

        Another crying Canadian here.

I have hope that decent people will prevail.

      • Summergirl says:

Me too! Crying Canadian stress eating in Toronto.

    • E.D. says:

      Me too – from Australia.
So anxious for you all today.

  4. Mina_Esq says:

These latest ads are unbelievable. Whoever is putting these together, I hope they get singled out for some praise at some point. When they list all the hashtags of the various movements overs the past four years and tell people that it’s time to run after having marched for four years…oh boy.

    • Sigmund says:

Yeah, that gave me chills. I cried. Whoever has been putting together these Biden-Harris ads has been killing it.

      • Meg3 says:

I love that there are not only the “official” Biden ads but also projects such as the one that created the “Only the Young” ad. That is a project by a production company called Eleven Films and Congressman Eric Swalwell. Also those ads from the Lincoln Project (some of them are just brilliantly provocative). Or from people like a film score composer Brian Tyler (on his twitter) or Rhyme Combinator on youtube. So much creativity and so engaging!

  5. Lightpurple says:

The Undoing – either the kid or Donald Sutherland, because the kid would be a real twist and because Donald Sutherland is there to Donald Sutherland and two episodes in and he has yet to Donald Sutherland.

And my, little Noah Jupe is growing up.

    • Sankay says:

My first thought was Grace but with Sutherland playing the dad it makes sense that he’d be a suspect.

  6. pamspam says:

I can’t believe I like Taylor Swift now. 2020 has turned everything topsy turvy.

    • Lady D says:

She impressed me at her court case against the DJ that mauled her in 2017. She set a great example for her young fans. I’ve been a fan of her since then. (just her, not her music)
2017 coincidentally was also when my opinion did a 180 on 23yo Ariana Grande. Her behaviour after the Manchester bombing was truly admirable.

    • BnLurkN4eva says:

This is me. If you would have told me a few years ago that I would slowly become impress by her, I would have laughed in your face, but she really has changed my mind about her. I think she is doing her activism really well. Not too in your face and with substance showing that she’s actually doing the work and learning. I don’t know, it just feels authentic to me and I really could not have predicted that. Good job Taylor.

  7. Seraphina says:

It’s very hard to follow him when he talks because he just keeps repeating himself. It’s like I await a new thought but it just circles back with the same verbiage. And go figure, he even turned on his own supporters. That should be the final red flag for them, but they just don’t see it for what it truly is.

  8. jferber says:

    Cool. You are amazing, Taylor!

  9. julia says:

Each and every one of his ads is so powerful. They are such a strong way to convey a message and spark change. Whereas Trumps ads are all about himself.

  10. StrawberryBlonde says:

That ad made me cry too and I am Canadian. I started weeping at the picture of the little kid separated from her parents…thinking of my own little one in that situation and how awful it would be.

  11. Riley says:

I’m sitting at work trying not to cry after watching that ad – absolutely amazing. I’m terrified for what happens tonight but so hopeful at the same time.

  12. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I have goosebumps. Seriously. Lots and lots of goosebumps.

  13. Milkweed says:

    😭

  14. Moo says:

Amazing ad! I know that whatever happens, we will get through this. If the last ONE year isn’t enough to mobilize us then I don’t know what could…but am open to learning.

  15. Singhsong says:

I was cool til the end where Joe pulled that lil guy in and told him “we’re gonna be okay”, whew!

  16. MaryContrary says:

    Omg-that made me cry.

  17. I'm With The Band says:

God damn, making us cry on the side of the world! Do these ads play regularly on TV as part of the political campaigns? It’s incredibly powerful and says so much in such a short space of time. I challenge anyone to not be moved by it. I’m one of many Aussies standing in solidarity with America and desperately hoping for Biden/Harris to take out this election. The world needs hope, and I see that in Biden.

  18. MsIam says:

    Wow just Wow! Biden/Harris 2020
