Omarosa: Melania Trump ‘is counting every minute until… she can divorce him’

President Donald Trump and First lady Melania Trump participate in the 2020 Salute to America

There was a 48-hour period in October where everything really went crazy around both Donald and Melania Trump. That was the moment when they both tested positive for the coronavirus – and both had symptoms – and there was that craziness about Bigly going to Walter Reed and Melania staying in the White House. The story that got buried was Mel’s former aide/friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff dropping her tapes of Melania bitching and moaning about everything. Mel thinks she works so hard, and this was the infamous F–k Christmas tape. Mel didn’t actually say “f–k Christmas” but she did say “I’m working like a — my ass off at Christmas stuff… You know, who gives a f–k about Christmas stuff and decoration?”

I bring this up to remind everyone that we’re going to be gifted with yet another Melania-decorated White House this Christmas. Considering she hates all of it, my guess is that she’s literally going to pour blood on some acrylic trees and kick an orphan and call it a day. BE BEST! This is also a reminder that everyone thinks Mel will file for divorce basically the second they’re out of the White House.

Melania Trump is “counting every minute” until Donald leaves the White House and she can divorce him, a former aide claims. The outgoing First Lady, 50, is reported to regard their 15-year marriage as over and is waiting only for Joe Biden’s inauguration in January before making it formal.

Fired White House aide and The Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault Newman is certain they will split, reports the Mail on Sunday. She said: “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce. If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.”

Newman – who made the claims in her tell-all book Unhinged – has previously said the Trumps have “a very strange marriage”. She told British daytime TV show Lorraine last month that Melania is “repulsed” by her husband.

[From The Sun]

I find all of the speculation about Melania filing for divorce and/or running away when this sh-tshow is over kind of fascinating? Ultimately, I think people really do want to see Mel as yet another Trump victim when it’s been clear from the start that she’s utterly complicit. Not only that, his politics are HER politics. She is just as much of a hateful racist, fascist and Christmas-hating bully. F–k Melania. I hope she stays with him forever, until the bitter and rancid end. I hope none of her rich bitch friends give her the time of day.

I can see him pulling a Charlie Sheen & getting a crew of angels (or devils) after she leaves him.

    • Sojaschnitzel says:

If he is as broke as rumour has it, he won’t have enough money to pay for them 😀

      • booboocita says:

And that’s why I believe she’s out the door the minute Biden takes the oath of office. Not because she’s repulsed by Cheeto, or because she has someone waiting in the wings for her. She’s going to leave him because the NYTimes investigation into his taxes proved he has no money. She’s going to take him for as much as the prenup will allow, then run back to NYC to nab herself a new, REAL billionaire.

She better move quickly, too. 50 isn’t 30, and while she’s still fine, she’s no longer the dewy young thang she was when she hooked up with Cheeto. Then again, Jerry Hall bagged Rupert Murdoch at 61, so who knows?

  2. VS says:

She is not going to divorce him at least not anytime soon…she is just as trash as he is!

    • Gina says:

I agree. I think she’s holding out for him to die.

    • B n A fn says:

She is just as bad as he is, the difference she wears pretty clothing. Her friend said when we see her pulling her hand away from his is a set up for us to change the subject from something he’s trying to hide. So, she pulls her hand we all talk about her hating him instead of him keeping children in cages or taking children from their parents. The entire family are despicable, money hungry con men and women.

    • Snappyfish says:

I think an agreement was made while she stayed on NYC. She lives in Potomac MD w/her parents(who chain migrated) & Barron in a posh house near his school. I think money has been put in her name as her own. Payment to play 1st lady. (Huge rumor that he is hiding money in Barron’s name)

She can never return to her NYC life. She burned those bridges. I’m guessing they live separate like they do now. She is a horrible grifting whore but one on a contract. She will follow its terms. This woman is no “victim” she is a complicit Trollop. Do not give her a moment of sympathy.

      • Lady2Lazy says:

@ Snappyfish, you are absolutely right!! She is just as conniving, manipulative and as criminal as he is, she is just in better clothes and doesn’t share her make up tips with him because Agent Orange kept stealing her bronzer away!! They are both heartless monsters with only their self interests at heart!

      • LWT00 says:

100%. All the early “free Melania!” hype was BS. She knew from the beginning who he was and she didn’t care – she wanted a wealthy benefactor and she got it. To put up with him for 15 years, she’s every bit as bad as him and I have no sympathy for her whatsoever.

      • liz says:

Rumors among the NYC private school crowd were that she was renegotiating the pre-nup when she stayed behind in NY “so Barron could finish the school year.” I suspect that the renegotiated agreement has a non-disclosure/non-disparagement clause, that her money is already in an escrow account somewhere and that she has to stay until he’s out of office for the funds to clear escrow.

I have a kid at a different NYC private school, although I live near Barron’s old school (you couldn’t pay me to send my kid there). The rumor & gossip mill is expansive – everyone knows someone at other schools.

      • Kosmos says:

Who knows what will happen. A lot depends on his upcoming lawsuits, money, or lack of money, then there’s Barron to consider and Melania is very close to him and would not want him in the middle of a divorce. Either Melania is very naive & is one with Trump, or she is knowingly complicit. She and T’s children are supported 100% by Trump, so they’re not going to abandon him. They know what he would be like if angered or betrayed. Even when he cheated during their marriage, Trump had Michael Cohen lie to her to say it just wasn’t true.

    • Tiffany says:

She is stuck at this point. Deutsche Bank is calling in the loans and that means the homes are going to be the first to get repossessed.

Here is hoping that she skimmed enough off the top when she destroyed First Lady Kennedy’s Rose Garden.

      • Mignionette says:

I am still in shock that she did that. It seemed like a direct and deliberate attack on the democrats legacy in the WH. Much in the same vein as stripping out any of Michelle Obama’s decor legacy.

The woman is not the hapless victim some media outlets portray her to be. This is a woman who has perfected the art of the long game. Gold digger to the max and she deserves to go down with him.

In any chapter 11 proceedings anything conveyed or transferred within the last few years would be within the administrators reach. She needs to be very careful bc essentially her ante-nuptial negotiation could literally be worthless. Time to get back on the game and snag another billionaire.

      • Mac says:

I’m guessing UAE paid his loans in exchange for a massive arms deal.

      • Lady2Lazy says:

@ Tiffany, I agree!! When she tore out Jacquelines beautiful garden, I knew in that instant that she is just as evil and petty as he is. She deserves to stay in hell with the vile Agent Orange, they are a match made in hell!!

    • Esp.Lumiere says:

Being the third wife, I’m sure there is a solid prenup. That trash aint taking itself out. She’s staying put until he dies.

      • Mignionette says:

Yes but she re-negotiated an ante-nuptial agreement and those are far more binding as a matter of law, bc they are not contrary to the institution of marriage and are made by the parties after they have been married to each other so have a real experience of marriage in contemplation whilst making it. I am guessing that it states that she has to be married to him for a certain amount of time after he leaves office. A decent Lawyer however could argue the human interest and sanctity of marriage angle.

      • Lady2Lazy says:

@ Esp.Lumiere, I agree that she is staying with him until he croaks! Imagine Ivanka’s surprise due to the fact that as his wife, she can veto his will and she will be left with nothing, including Thing #1 and Thing#2. She is playing out the game for the big payout!

    • Anne Call says:

Used to think she would divorce him ASAP after he lost, but starting to think that she wants to continue to grift off his maga base for awhile and divorcing him would make them mad. Who knows, who cares.

    • Hoot says:

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff’s book, “Melania and Me,” was a great read. The former bff describes how she was scapegoated when the inauguration went sideways (and she is a meticulous record keeper – ffs, she headed up the Met Gala for years), while being a “personal consultant” to Melania. In the beginning, Stephanie was the reason Melania had any semblance of humanity – if up to her, M would gladly stay at Trump Towers wrapped in a fluffy robe while having “treatments” all day (seriously).

Her entire time at the WH, SWW tried to get her contract written/executed, but they back-doored her at every turn (thus her odd title and easy manipulation to scapegoat) and never complied. After years of friendship, Stephanie realized that her bff loved Donald’s power and money, and that was the ONLY reason she was with him. It enabled her to keep her parents near (and helped them become citizens in 2018) as well as obtain residence in the U.S. for her sister, Ines. To those three people she is extremely close, while she lives for her son, Barron. Donald is her means to an end, that. is. all. Who knows if she’ll leave him? She’s with him until he (hopefully) gets tossed in jail.

Lol, please forgive me. I definitely got waaaay too caught up in this book!

  3. Noki says:

I dont know the actual First Lady ‘job description’ and I dont mind when they dont put themselves out there too much as they ‘didnt ask’ for the position but Melania takes the cake from the recent modern Flotuses she really just didnt GAF.

    • CL says:

They do ask, in the form of campaigning for their husbands. But I honestly don’t think the Trumps expected to win, and that’s probably how it was presented to Melania. She never expected the job, and I think it’s obvious she resented being in that position.

    • lucy2 says:

It’s definitely kind of an unfair position, you’re expected to be perfect and do all this work, without getting paid. However, if one agrees to their spouse running for that office, I would look at it as an opportunity to shine a light and work for causes you care about, in service to the people of the country.
      Melania did NOTHING. Literally nothing.

I could see her divorcing, or saying to him “I won’t do leave you and bring you bad press, but I’m going to go live in NY and you stay in Florida.”
Whatever the case, I hope they are both miserable for the rest of their miserable lives.

      • Mignionette says:

I am going to bet that now that a man is going to be “second spouse/ husband” that it will soon become a paid position if a spouse chooses to go that way.

    • Kosmos says:

Melania (and also Trump) just were not a good fit for the White House. I would not have wanted to be her, ushered away from her comfortable private life, to this life of huge public scrutiny. Maybe in some way they loved the attention, but in other ways, I don’t see her as being comfortable in the role. She didn’t fit in like previous first ladies, not at all. This entire administration was a disaster from beginning to what we hope will soon be the END.

  4. Seraphina says:

I think there will definitely be some lag time due the optics for Toddler Trump. It’s all a PR game.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Yeah am sure she’s already asking for more money – good luck there isn’t any.

      • goofpuff says:

Honestly if she isn’t campaigning herself for more prenup money to stay with him, then she’s losing a golden opportunity to milk his desperation.

He’s grifting his supporters right now so she can siphon some of that money to her and then get outta there before he spends it all.

  5. Ann says:

It would be such a lovely thing if this horrible complicit hooker filed now. Do it while he’s in office. The drama and media coverage would keep the fat orange rapist occupied at least through January. Wouldn’t that be just wonderful? But it will never be. We, including Mrs. F Christmas, are all stuck in a loop of treason and terror for another 70 days.

  6. Esme says:

I want the Xmas decor this year to be a video of Melania – in her heels and couture – spray painting f**k Xmas on the walls of the usual white house corridor. I’ll even contribute to her divorce GoFundMe to see that.
And I hope for the sake of her son that Trump lets them go without reprisals.

    • Size Does Matter says:

I’m kind of expecting scorched Earth Christmas theme. With blackened charred trees and piles of soot.

    • Kristin says:

      OMG – brilliant!!

Also, my detrumpify extension changed your last sentence to read “And I hope for the sake of her son that Rage-Addled Buttplug lets them go without reprisals.” which was a nice finishing touch to the perfect imagery of that xmas video.

  7. Kiera says:

If she divorces him I give it a year or two before she is “accepted” back into the NYC crew she was in. According to an acquaintance of mine whose kid was at the same private school as Baron, different grades, she was barely tolerated before this though so I don’t think it’s going to be easy. These ladies love letting you in but making sure you know you don’t really belong.

    • MaryContrary says:

She never seemed like she wanted to be in the NYC scene before. My guess is she moves with her parents and Barron into some palatial compound in Florida and lives out her days quietly (using our tax dollars for Secret Service protection and perks.)

  8. Sofia says:

Thank you! She’s just as complicit as he is. She gets no sympathy from me, sorry. She knew that who she was marrying and what policies/views he supports. If she really hated him, she could have divorced him before 2016 but she wanted to be FLOTUS even if she didn’t do anything

    • Becks1 says:

She gets no sympathy from me but I do think she hates him and if they don’t divorce, they will live 100% separate lives. I think if he hadn’t won in 2016 she would have divorced him and was given more money to stay.

  9. Stellainnh says:

Well, she has gotten what she wants from him. She’s a citizen, and she got her parents over here. She thinks she’ll get a good divorce settlement, however with the government and the banks looking for their money. It would be sweet if she becomes penniless.

    She’s just like that awfulness.

  10. GR says:

I hope after the divorce she’s completely broke and has to work a waitressing job that basically only pays tips – meaning she has to be nice to the little people so she can pay her rent.

  11. Teebee says:

I totally understand the need to keep reminding everyone of Melania’s complicity during Trump’s presidency, and that she deserves the life she’s chosen.

BUT. Trump hasn’t had to deal with a divorce in years. And it has been, in the past, a rote exercise: wash, rinse, repeat. This one should and will be different. Another blow to his brand, another failure atop a succession of failures, another weak link in his chain. And it would be a very big distraction from whatever other whinging he’d still be participating in. Imagine the disclosures, the mud slinging, the acrimony, the bitterness. Especially if there’s a large sum in play. Trump’s ability to bounce back from losing at least half his assets would be … crap at best. He’s an old man, his kids would be up in arms at the thought of losing their dwindling inheritance to the evil step monster.

I welcome a Melania divorce. With open arms. I’d watch the hell out of it. If anything is an absolute given with this family, it’s this; when it comes to money, they lose all sense of loyalty. Even to each other.

    Let the games begin…

    • Melissa says:

My guess is her prenup is pretty solid, we speculated that she renegotiated when he initially won before she would move to DC. It wouldn’t surprise me if whatever she negotiated is in a trust that he can’t touch in exchange for a quiet exit for her and Barron.

      • aang says:

I guessed a trust too. So it will be safe from lawsuits and bankruptcies and fines that trump might face. The only one I care about is Baron and I hope he is ok.

    • Lady2Lazy says:

@ TeeBee, the best part is that they have resided in NYC for a majority of their marriage, and given how NYC loathe Agent Orange, these divorce proceedings will slip out to the public domain for everyone to see!! Then they NY DA will start collecting the actual financial audits as a basis for criminal actions!!

  12. Lizzie says:

If his money is gone then she has already picked out the next rich old man to latch onto.

They have looked and there is no indication she has any interest other than her looks/clothes. She probably just told decorators to take care of the WH Christmas decorations in the past and that was the end of it. Will she even bother this year, I don’t really care do you?

  13. Amelie says:

I dunno, I can see her sticking with him simply for the money. Once they leave the White House, they don’t have to live together for appearance’s sake anymore. We barely believed they were doing that considering Melania didn’t even move into the White House until Barron finished out his school year in NY, a convenient excuse to delay being around Donald. Donald can go play golf in Florida at Mar a Lago and Melania can move back to the NYC penthouse… and be the scorn of NYC I guess. There won’t be much for her there but she can continue to be a Lady who Lunches and Shops while enjoying Donald’s money. I also think she stuck with him so she could sponsor her family from Slovenia. Both her parents now live in the US and didn’t they become citizens due to chain migration?

    • TrixC says:

Yeah, I think it’s more of a transactional marriage. That’s why she was so upset when he was elected President, because her having to fulfil a public role wasn’t part of the deal. And once they leave the White House it will get easier again, they can just go back to living mostly separate lives.

  14. Louisa says:

I’m sure it’s written in the pre-nup that even if she is the one who wants the divorce it has to look as though HE is divorcing HER. No way he is going to accept everyone knowing that a woman dumped his ass.

  15. HK9 says:

I care not what Nazi Barbie plans on doing-I just want the orange turd to get out of the White House. Whatever happens after that is non of my concern.

  16. Nic919 says:

She was ok with kids in cages and wore that jacket to confirm it. Fuck her and may her life be miserable. That’s the price you pay for marrying an evil man like that.

  17. Christin says:

    “Yacht” will she do?

    • Margles says:

She’s 50 and rich. She’ll either divorce him and live off whatever trust she extracted in exchange for moving into the WH or she’ll stay married to keep the money from his idiot followers flowing in.

  18. Mignionette says:

So I have a different opinion on this.

I think that whilst Melania wants out, Trump will not cooperate with any divorce proceedings until he is free and clear of litigation threats. I am guessing that is what a lot of the negotiations last year were about. As his legal spouse, she would be exempt from giving evidence against him.

Apparently people around Trump are terrified of him as he hits back. Until she knows that he’s dead in the water she will stay put.

    • jOoLz says:

not necessarily exempt. she cannot be *compelled* to provide evidence against her husband, but she can volunteer testimony.

  19. ME says:

He lost the presidency and Melania leaving him soon after would really f*ck with this ego. He’ll probably pay her to stay a few more years…until he’s able to find a younger/hotter goldigger to take her place.

Also, what are the chances Trump would run again in 2024? Legally he’s allowed to. I wonder if his fan base will grow in 4 years or fizzle out? I guess time will tell.

    • minx says:

He can run, but my bet would be that he’s either dead, in prison, exiled or in the full throes of dementia by then.

      • Anne Call says:

From your lips to you know who’s ears. It would be entertaining to see all these wanna be 2024 presidential contenders have to deal with Trump again. But, yeah, I’m ready to never see or hear him again. NY AG’s, bring it on!

    • Deering24 says:

So, does this mean Hope Hicks won’t stand by her man? 🤣😈😈🤣😈

  20. Leanne says:

I don’t see her leaving. I’ll bet you anything he’s going to start Trump TV and he’ll be back rolling in cash – and she definitely won’t leave him if he starts making a lot of money again. She likes to be a lady who lunches. She didn’t want to be First Lady because she was expected to actually work.

    • E.D. says:

      Yep and yep!

    • Heat says:

I agree. She’s going back to the life she wanted with him; her own floor at Trump Tower, no need to have anything to do with him except for an occasional event (that only requires her to be arm candy).
I’m sure she’s weighing her options, though. She’ll want to know whether it is financially better to stay or to leave. That’s her bottom line.

  21. Veronica S. says:

I can literally not think of another situation where I thought a woman was so clearly in an abusive relationship, yet I felt absolutely no sympathy for her lol.

  22. Tiffany says:

If she did not leave him through the constant cheating and the reveal of him having an affair with Stormy Daniels and paying her off to keep it quiet with campaign funds only to turn around and defend him…..what has some of these people thinking she will leave now?

She wanted FLOTUS for no other reason than to try and monetize it like the two bit hustler that she is. She is nothing more and people need to stop trying the perch this woman up as something she has clearly told us she is not.

    • Mignionette says:

I don’t see that she has that much sympathy. I think people like the idea of her leaving bc it would humiliate Trump.

Problem is whilst she hates Trump, she has played the long game all this time so I don’t see her leaving until she has literally got everything she wants i.e. money, assurances of no reprisals – Trump might not be able to harm her but he could harm her family and in particular her parents Visa process which only recently was completed. All he would need to do is leak something which one of his enemies would act upon.

Also he could leverage Barron in some way against her. Melania does not get along with the Trump kids so even if he were to be indicted on any charges she is still not free and clear.

    • Lizzie says:

I think she was still hawking something on QVC when he was president elect and they had to make her quit.

  23. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

Maybe she can kill him and then get locked up. Done and done. Do I really care?

  24. Nev says:

    Shut up Omarosa.
    Sell-out

  25. LightPurple says:

One can only claim spousal immunity from testifying in court if one is married. He’ll pay her to stay so she can’t be compelled to testify against him.

  26. Leah says:

She deserves to be in prison as much as king dumpo.

She’s as much a collaborator as the four bad Trump seeds, McConnell, Barr, Lady G, Pompeo, KellyAnne, Kayleigh, Kimberly G, Nunes, Mother and Mother’s husband etc, etc, etc….

  27. Shoo fly says:

We have never seen even a remote hint of this from her. She dated her for years *yearrrrrrrrrrrrrsssssss* before she married him. They met in 1998. They married in 2005. She was 35 when they married. She has been in it to win it 100% and was spreading the birther theory for years prior to his presidency. I am sure that she has been further radicalized by the deserved criticisms and attacks from the little people for the last 4 years.

These women don’t leave these men without another one lined up. The men leave THEM.

    • Tiffany says:

And people seem to forget she was on a date with someone else when he gave her his phone number.

You are so right about her having another one lined up. She is always looking to upgrade.

  28. Izzy says:

If she’s waiting to divorce him until he’s out of office, then she better start talking him into conceding.

  29. Valerie says:

Nah, just do it. Kick him while he’s down. Now’s your chance.

  30. Marigold says:

You know I can’t stand the Trumps, but I thought the tapes were hysterical. It almost humanized her. I can see sitting around bitching with your girlfriends. But yeah. Still deplorable.

  31. Capepopsie says:

Well I don’t know what to think about all of this. I’m sure we are only seeing the top of the iceberg regarding craziness. Living with a narcissist is not easy, nevermind doing so publicly as the First Lady. 😱 I just feel we should bear that in mind. Please don’t chop my head off. 😔

  32. sassafras says:

If she divorces him, it too is purely transactional – to protect her “separate property” from debt collectors or courts. She’ll have transferred a lot into Barron’s name, I suspect, or her parents and they’ll find a nice compound in the caribbean to escape to.

  33. BeanieBean says:

Working like a what, Mel? Like a WHAT?

  34. sunnyn says:

She is a terrible human- just as vile, craven, and racist as hubby. My only wish is Baron is ok because it must be a trip to be a child in this family.

  35. BeanieBean says:

“…she’s literally going to pour blood on some acrylic trees and kick an orphan and call it a day.” Kaiser, you’re killing it!

  36. MaryContrary says:

I cannot wait until we don’t have to see her smirky face in the news.

  37. The Recluse says:

IF SHE LEFT, there is no way she would without a payday and the custody of her son and protections for her and her parents. She looks after herself the same as the Trumps do. Casler has been saying that she’s had a boyfriend all of this time – the guy who used to manage security for Tiffany’s.

  38. ILoveMusic says:

I seriously doubt she’ll divorce him. I completely believe she renegotiated the terms of her marriage contract before moving to DC in 2017. Clearly, under the terms of that new contract, she is no longer obligated to do as much as hold his hand, so she has no reason to file for divorce. She’s almost as much of a terrible human as her husband, so I hope for the sake of her continued misery, she has to stay legally married to him and pretend every now and then that they have a relationship. However, if she were to file for divorce, that would further humiliate the orange one, so whether she stays or legally leaves, a trump will be unhappy.

  39. ILoveMusic says:

  40. Bread and Circuses says:

I don’t think she’s going to leave him. One of the other things Wolkoff mentioned is Melania disdainfully saying, “I know who I married,” when Wolkoff said anything critical of Donald.

I think she *would* leave him when the money runs out, especially if Barron is old enough that custody is not on the table. But while I think she resented being First Lady, I don’t think she has any issues with being a trophy wife.

  41. YAS says:

I mean, she can divorce him whenever she wants. Won’t make her any less of a garbage human. It’ll just make her a garbage human who divorced another garbage human.
