Duchess Meghan’s voice is ‘semi-presidential’ & ‘patronizing’ apparently

Prince Louis christening

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has always had a nice voice. Every now and then, I can hear the regional “California girl” in her voice, but mostly she just has the voice of a thoughtful, educated actress who enunciates. She was also very comfortable with public speaking from the word go, even before she met Harry. Compare this to the Duchess of Cambridge’s forever-struggle with her fake posh accent, her inability to make speeches and her general laziness, and the comparisons were there and they were never favorable to the Keen one. But did you know that Meghan’s voice and speech-patterns are somehow wrong, bad and evil? It’s true, at least that’s what a “behavior expert” tells the Express/Daily Mail.

Speaking to the Express, behaviour expert Judi James suggested their trailer, released yesterday, showed Meghan using ‘persuasive’ techniques to convince her husband to take the lead, while switching to a ‘more professional and semi-presidential delivery’. Judi said the duchess boasted speech techniques used by high profile figures, such as Michelle Obama and the Queen, when she referred to Prince Harry as ‘my husband’ despite him being right next to her.

Judi said: ‘Meghan shows a hint of her persuasive techniques with Harry by using flattery to get him to start the recording.’ She added that the duchess seemed to ‘virtually purr’ after complimenting Prince Harry’s accent, while his voice became throaty as a result.

Commenting on the Queen’s grandson’s speech skills during the trailer, Judi said: ‘Harry is a much less confident speaker than Meghan on this audio clip…[but] he is keen to get it all right for his wife.’

She points out that he falters verbally during his dialogue but his laidback tone suggests listeners are getting a more personal side to the royal. Meanwhile, Meghan came across as ‘semi-presidential’ and ‘professional’, according to the behaviour expert, who suggested the duchess was boasting speech techniques used by high profile figures, such as Michelle Obama and the Queen. Judi noted that Meghan using the phrase ‘One of the things my husband and I have always talked about’ sounded similar to the speeches delivered by the former First Lady.

The body language and behaviour expert isn’t the only one to have noticed Meghan’s new ‘regal tone’, with royal author Angela Levin echoing a similar conclusion earlier in the week. She spoke to talkRADIO about Meghan’s appearance on CNN on Monday, when the duchess praised the ‘quiet heroes’ of the coronavirus pandemic who have supported communities.

Angela said: ‘[Meghan] does try to be very regal despite the fact that she wanted to get out of the Royal Family. She’s very regal, she talks down to us, she’s slightly patronising. She always uses the “we” term, the royal we term. That means that everybody must agree with her because she knows what everybody’s thinking. She’s entitled to say what she likes, of course, but it’s her way of saying it.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Ah, yes, MEGHAN is the patronizing one. Not anyone else! All of these old bitties are super-mad that the Spotify clip showed that Meghan and Harry are pretty flirty with each other, and that people will enjoy listening to them because they both have nice voices. This wasn’t supposed to happen! Harry was supposed to abandon his American-accented, patronizing wife and come back to his toxic family! Also: it really bothers me that the commentators continually infantilize Harry, like Meghan is always “taking the lead” and Harry just follows her around. It’s part and parcel of the larger British-media-version of events, which is that Meghan plotted, Meghan stole a prince, Meghan demanded. Blah.

  1. Deanne says:

The narrative that Meghan leads Harry around by the nose has got to stop. It’s incredibly insulting to both of them.

    • BayTampaBay says:

The stories never will stop because they generate click$ for revenue$ and because some people do not want to admit the truth even to only themselves. Harry had serious thoughts about stepping back from the BRF as a full-time working royal years BEFORE he met Meghan.

  2. Maya Memsaab says:

Since when is sounding ‘presidential’ a bad thing? Doesn’t that suggest a tone that is responsible, reassuring, professional and powerful? Oh, I forgot that those are only good qualities in old white dudes, not in a biracial woman. This, in a context of America’s outgoing embarrassment of a president, who didn’t sound presidential ONCE in the last four years. Man sounds confident? He’s presidential! Biracial woman sounds confident? PATRONIZING!

    • Mindy_Dopple says:

Keep in mind, she also compared her to the Obamas. So the tone is presidential and patronizing only for certain people.

      • Maya Memsaab says:

Yes! I just realised. The British media isn’t even trying to hide their racist dog whistles anymore. As an immigrant living in the UK, this gets really, really exhausting.

    • Love says:

Also… she hasn’t become more regal. She’s always been a confident speaker. Remember her Larry King interview? When he implied that people pay attention to her because she’s gorgeous, and she spun that so quickly and eloquently.

These people need therapy, because they need to figure out what it is within themselves (cough *racism* cough) that makes them feel patronised by a black woman saying “we came together as a community”

    • Ripley says:

My 7 yo had a terrible habit of calling girls (only girls and never the boys) in his class “bossy.” So we turned it around and had him call them “presidential” whenever he felt like they were telling him what to do.

    • Emily says:

If Meghan wasn’t “presidential” they would say she sounds like a California valley girl or “urban.” There isn’t a way for her to win with the British tabloids.

  3. Lauren says:

I was unaware that only the queen could use the pronoun We. I had always thought that Meghan meant we as in we as a society, we as a community. Of course Megan meant as the the royal we to patronize us peasants. God, the bullsht that these people put on paper to justify their hate. They are getting even more pathetic.

    • Otaku fairy says:

Yep, it’s all about justifying their hate. They’ve gotten criticism for how they’ve treated her, so now they have to ramp up the demonization any way they can.

    • equality says:

If she were referencing “my husband and I” wouldn’t the correct pronoun be “we”?

      • Julie says:

Oh but they also have a problem with her saying “my husband and I”. Lmao. So the pronoun is wrong, the extended format is wrong and I bet if she said “Harry and I” that would be wrong too.

    • Dollycoa says:

The Queen uses ‘we’ in the wrong grammatical context, meaning just her. Everyone else uses ‘ we’ in the correct context. They really are clutching at straws. I agree with another poster that they dont care really about anything but clicks on their site, and their site is frequented by racists from both sides of the Pond, who will rapidly pick on any disparaging article however bizarre to click and click. The Royals are scared that their ‘ chosen ones’ lack charisma and work ethic but that’s their fault for not allowing any diversity in their ranks. It’s a sign of their desperation that they have stopped threatening the Royal press Corp with withdrawing access if they go too hard on Prince Andrew.

  4. Ginger says:

Wow, the British press and RF don’t know how to handle a strong women, do they? They like their duchesses to be empty with no personality and walking behind their husband.

Harry has always let Meghan go first.

And Meghan’s voice is soothing. They both have wonderful voices and I can’t wait for their podcast. I’m so excited for this!

    • Myra says:

You can feel the intimidation from their statements. I find what they say to be more revealing about themselves honestly – a bunch of people with low self-esteems who attack others because they cannot accomplish the same. They can’t speak in a regal tone, so somehow Meghan shouldn’t be able to either, but Meghan is not in their lane. They know she is an extraordinary person, but their superiority complex over her can’t allow them to ever admit this fact.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

I’d rather listen to women who sound presidential than an inarticulate empty shell. Meghan scares them. She is hard working, book smart, street wise and empathetic. These qualities have helped her network at levels many can only dream of. That’s why she and Harry were able to ink those deals. The titles may pique interest, but their personal qualities are what RETAINS interest. Other royals have tried and failed to get deals in the past. If having a title was all it took, all of them would have succeeded.

  5. Snuffles says:

I loved the clip they posted! They were flirty, clearly very comfortable with each other and just plain adorable. I can imagine what they are like with each other in private. In sync and a great TEAM.

Also, I take no notice of these “experts”. There have been several who have exposed the RRs ways. A few psychologists and historians have said they were approached and asked to come on TV or say something about Harry and Meghan and that the producers or reporters were trying to coach them on what to say. So they refused.

  6. Becks1 says:

I’m kind of laughing bc Angela Levin seems to be inadvertently insulting the royals. Being “regal” means being patronizing and talking down to people, and using the royal “we” implies that everyone must agree with you. Well, now we know how to interpret other royals’ speeches.

That said – massive eyeroll to this. Keep trying British press. you just sound more and more unhinged and pathetic.

  7. Harla says:

Omg, these people are hysterical! Meghan has been referring to Harry as “my husband “ since they got married. Remember her incredible speech in S. Africa? Did Judy get a promotion while we weren’t looking? She was a “body language expert “ now she’s a “ behavior expert “? Did she acquire a degree in the last 2 days?

I’m so thrilled that Meghan and Harry will now be speaking regularly, I could listen to both of them talk forever.

    • Becks1 says:

Both of them say “my husband” and “my wife” a lot and obvious reasons aside (that Harry is her husband and vice versa lol) I get the impression that they are both still just so tickled that they are married to each other. Like being able to say “my husband” makes Meghan so happy bc she is so happy she’s married to Harry and same for Harry re: Meghan. There’s a bit of pride and affection in how they say it.

Oh man now I sound like a “behavior expert” lol.

      • Love says:

I’m a sucker for romance and looooove your comment. I’ve read it thrice already 😂😂

      • Harla says:

I agree Becks1!! You can tell that both of them are thrilled to have found each other, to have found their soulmate! I love seeing how much pride Harry has for his wife and I believe that he pinches himself every day unable to believe that he was able to win her heart!

      • Katherine says:

One of the things I love best about Harry is that for a rich white straight dude coming from the definition of privilege he just seems genuinely self aware. And is one of the few public figures I can point to who had some fairly epic youthful mistakes and learned and grew from them. I remember he did a speech for a women’s initiative several years ago (pre-Meghan) and I was blown away at the nuanced way he talked about feminism. Sure he has writers but to even OK what I thought was really progressive and informed language really struck me.

And since Meghan it’s always just been so clear to me through his language (both verbal and body, if we’re going to be experts on this now) he 100% thinks he found someone so out of his league and married up by like 100 levels. Despite being a prince. And I love that about him and them.

      • Becks1 says:

@Katherine – completely agree with both paragraphs, especially the second. I definitely think Harry feels like he married up – its so obvious whenever he’s around Meghan, how proud he is of her, etc. Compare that to William and Kate and its a marked difference.

  8. Lizzie says:

I guess a well spoken woman is a rarity in their sad worlds.

  9. Seraphina says:

I really see or hear no difference. Maybe, just maybe, subconsciously she is more on guard because she KNOWS they will tear into her. They really need to give it a rest. Enough already. How insecure and miserable must they be to tear into someone who has gone on record but the toxic treatment and it’s effects, moved an ocean way and severed ties with a family. How much more must Harry and Meghan do to be left alone? It’s like the entire world has hit rock bottom and these parasites just keep on going with the smear tactics.

  10. S808 says:

I saw Angela Levin and my eyes glazed over. She’s a bitter Harry fan girl who will find fault in anything Meghan does. “We” is a royal term? Maybe she meant in context and even then…..what?

  11. Ariel says:

The headlines should all just read- black woman should be silent, like a mannequin. Also invisible.
Otherwise, she is wrong. How dare she exist.

I’m white. And racism (against people of color- hopefully obviously) exhausts me.
I can’t even begin to understand how people of color deal with this day in and day out.
I try to see it, i see it more and more- but it feels overwhelming and painfully burdensome.

  12. Noki says:

They really thought Harry was just going to marry some ‘bimbo actress’. What pissed and shocked them more than anything was that Meghan was smart, attractive, well spoken, confident and can hold her own. The servants quarters they tried to confine them to didnt work and they dont need them financially at all,the best revenge.

  13. MommaDawna says:

“I mean…” I agree with her. My husband has a sexy deep voice too, if that man had an accent to go with it boy oh boy!

    • molly says:

I love an accent on anyone, but yeah, an accent on someone I already found attractive? Watch out.

  14. Rare0217 says:

So basically they are calling her uppity again

  15. Mumbles says:

“Semi-presidential” isn’t even a word. How can someone sound half presidential? Maybe they mean quasi-presidential but that’s stupid because “presidential” has been rendered meaningless by dolts like Trump and Bush. These people are reading way too much into a commercial.

  16. Mouki's wife says:

I think H and M sound amazing! Can’t wait to be spoken down to frequently! 😉

  17. Amy Bee says:

These people are unhinged. After years of saying that Meghan wasn’t regal when she was in the Royal Family, now that she’s out of the family she’s suddenly become regal. So Kate’s not regal anymore? Meghan really makes these white women feel uncomfortable. When are they going to get it that Harry is own man and was the one who decided they should leave the Royal Family? I’m happy about one thing though, that they have realised that the Queen is patronising

    • ABritGuest says:

during height of feudgate Judi James said that Meghan & Kate couldn’t get on because Meghan was more ‘sexual’ and Kate was an ‘introvert’. Lots of dog whistles and tropes from that one.

I also read press once had an ‘expert’ on to look at meghans feet and how it determines her personality traits. They really treat Meghan like someone in a zoo and the royal experts etc can’t understand how she is there & why Harry chose her. So they have to convince themselves Harry is entrapped & being dominated. It’s crazy to observe especially as Angela Levin was one who got short meeting where Harry talked about leaving royal duties a few years ago.

I thought they were fun and flirty in that preview and look forward to the guests during the holiday special. Might find out more about charity work they’ve been doing BTS.

Their podcasts are gonna give more content to the tabloids to criticise and analyse. They must be delighted.

      • Ginger says:

Funny how they call Kate an introvert when it’s known that she walked down a runway in a see through dress to get William’s attention. I don’t know any introverts that would do that.

      • Jaded says:

@Ginger – exactly, and somehow these people have forgotten the number of Marilyn Moments Kate had before she started with the frumpy dresses and Meghan cosplay. Millions have seen the royal lady bits.

  18. Sarah says:

    How dare she exist!!!

My first thought listening yesterday was how much I liked the sound of her voice (I rarely watch videos of stuff) and they were absolutely delightful together. As for the ‘expert insight’ in the DM who didn’t see this coming? Their playbook is so basic and predictable.

  19. Lynn says:

That is just about the most adorable thing I’ve heard in a while. Can’t we just have something nice right now?!

  20. Miranda says:

…so the intelligent, well-educated trained actress isn’t supposed to encourage or help her husband, who is a perfectly decent public speaker, but still not accustomed to discussing his personal beliefs and ideas because he wasn’t allowed to have an opinion until relatively recently? THIS IS WHAT A CARING, EQUAL RELATIONSHIP IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE. One of the kindest things you can do for someone you love is to boost their confidence!

I hope the people who come up with this drivel are just paid shills for the royal family, because if they genuinely believe this crap, I’d be worried about what was going on in their own homes.

  21. Jessica says:

Angela Levin HATES her so much. It’s really…beyond. She sounds like an obsessed stalker.

  22. Digital Unicorn says:

But putting a fake accent to sound posher than the RF is ok FFS!

Nothing wrong with the way she speaks – she was a working actress and you can be guaranteed she was given advice/training on how to speak to the media.

    • Seraphina says:

@DU, you gave me a thought (Meghan being an actress and accents). I would LOVE for her to nail Kate’s accent and give an interview imitating the posh aristo one used by Kate,

  23. lanne says:

An open letter to Angela Levin:

Honey. Babe. You are an old ass woman. I know you must shriek like Baby Jane when you look in the mirror because you aren’t the “dim posh blonde” of your dreams, but you have to stop with this obsession. **

Angela, Prince Harry is married. To someone else, not you. That fifteen minute interview you got with Harry for your book was not a figurative engagement ring. You have no claim to him whatesoever. I know that you think he shouldn’t have married Meghan but honeychile, he wasn’t gon marry you!! Get that through your head, lovie! You really need to see someone for the Prince Harry obsession of yours. It’s not healthy. You are no more an “expert” on Prince Harry than any attentive Celebitch. You wrote a book, yes. I’ve written 4 books–whoopdedoo! Lots of people write books these days. but you know what they don’t do? People don’t go around thinking that writing a book about someone means you are now a participant in said person’s life! Listen Ange–YOU ARE NOT,NOR WILL YOU EVER, BE A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY! I hate to be harsh with you, but someone has to tell you this.

I do have one suggestion for you: Since Harry is no longer working as a royal, I suggest that you turn your attention to others in the royal family. There are many, many other wonderful people who would love to have your devotion and attention. For example, the Duke of York. He’s the Queen’s favorite, you know, and he was kinda cute in his day! You could turn your investigative ardor toward the Pedo–I mean the Prince! For your consideration, I also suggest the Princess Michael of Kent. She has a lovely jewelry collection, I hear. Finally, I suggest the MOST IMPORTANT ROYAL OF ALL: Prince Willnot, ahem, William. Why swoon over the 6th in line to the throne when you can drool over the 2nd in line? Let’s move on up the rankings there! Think of all of the fun you could have writing about Cain and Unable–you could even serenade them with a song: I suggest “Work, Bitch” by Britney Spears.

    Sincerely, the world

**[And I made the Baby Jane reference because I’m not old shaming–I’m shaming a woman who refuses to recognize the truth–a la Baby Jane–watch the movie if you want to see some serious Bette Davis/Joan Crawford creepiness!]

  24. Lizzie says:

She is just mad because Keen practically needs subtitles to understand her garbled accent.

  25. Case says:

LOL okay. She just has a nice speaking voice and confidence/training in acting to be a good public speaker. Plus she’s passionate about what she talks about. No problem with any of that, she comes across as knowledgeable and involved with the causes she speaker about.

  26. Shoo fly says:

“TalkRadio” is Dan Wooten’s right wing political “radio” show. So the entire article is a pile of biased crap, with no mention of same.

  27. Ginger says:

Angela Levin must be so livid to hear how happy Harry was on that podcast trailer. She has been pushing the “sad sack Harry in CA”
    narrative for months.

  28. LORENA says:

This is not towards Meghan but I have a friend that always says “my husband” even tho we all know him and obviously we know his name and I find that so weird? When I refer to mine in conversation with people I know I just say his name?

  29. Bettyrose says:

I’ve always admired Meghan’s confidence and ability speak as a leader even though she’s often younger than the audience she’s addressing. If there’s any scandal here it’s that it’s noteworthy for a young woman to be poised and confident. There’s so much work to do in normalizing that.

  30. JT says:

The RR are just mad because Kate is nearly unintelligible and they are not allowed to say so because she’s married to the heir. If this is what they think of Meg’s voice, imagine how they talk about Kate. Lol. How pitiful for Kate that she is so inept, the BM have to tear down Meghan’s perfectly lovely speaking skills to build her up. And most married royals pretend their wives only exist to lay on their backs for the heirs and spares, not because they love each other. Meghan is proud to be married to Harry and vice versa; I imagine it is a bit of an anomaly to hear royals that can stand each other’s presence.

  31. L4frimaire says:

Penny Junior is a troll. This whole “ presidential “ thing is there to feed their nonsense that Meghan wants to be president, which is just ridiculous. As fir the patronizing thing, it’s basically how dare this black woman talk to us, who does she think she is. Same with the sexist BS with Harry. He’s enchanted, controlled, etc. They must not listen to a lot of podcasts because all the hosts have their unique voices and vocal quirks. I don’t know what these people think they’re accomplishing with this nonsense because it makes them seem really uninformed and big on conspiracy- theories.

  32. SpilldatT says:

    Are they hard of hearing?

She sounds good, professional yet compelling. Absolutely not patronizing in any way, shape or form unless patronizing means fully capable of delivering a public message with grace and properly enunciated words which the listener doesn’t have to hear on repeat to understand what she is talking about.

  33. Harry and Meghan sounded like they genuinely love each other. You can see and feel the love they have for each other in their voices. You don’t need visuals to know they truly love each other. This is what Judi James and Angela Levin refuse to admit to themselves.

  34. Lizzie says:

Do Americans living in America aspire to sound regal? This fiction writer should just write a novel and quit trying to sell this bs.

  35. jferber says:

No one has ever accused Trump of sounding presidential, so I’d take that as a compliment. Of course, the sub-text is “uppity black woman.” So they got a “behavioral specialist” to call Meghan names. Big, fucking deal. How are you doing with Brexit, England? That working out for you? Maybe concentrate on your true problems instead of gaslighting the duchess who said no to your bullshit.

  36. Gail says:

Don’t hate them because they are beautiful and in love completely with each other . Hate them because you will never ever have what they have because you are bitter.

  37. Nic919 says:

They work so hard at minimizing what Meghan happens to be great at because they know that Kate is just so horrible at speaking. Meghan doesn’t need subtitles to be comprehensible but Kate does and they hate that the English one is so bad at it.
They also hate the palpable chemistry that was obvious in an audio clip of a few minutes. Couples who are in sync exude this no matter how long they are married, which again makes it obvious that the Trainbridges have no connection.

  38. Sorella says:

I like both their voices – sometimes her mannerisms on screen are a bit actressy – but she is a former actress. I do think Meghan is the lead in their relationship – she is a LEO and is a natural leader versus he being a Cancer! PLUS she has lived in the outside world. I mean I love Harry, but let`s face it – he has Royal blood and none of them are particularly extra-smart – him included so he likely likes that she leads him!

    • Oh says:

He is a virgin.. not a cancer.

      • Becks1 says:

He’s a Virgo, not a virgin, LOLOL. (I’m assuming that was autocorrect but I’m still laughing over it.)

    • Ginger says:

Harry isn’t stupid. He is clearly intelligent. Watch his speeches (especially his Invictus ones, that he writes himself) Just because he wasn’t a straight A student doesn’t mean he isn’t intelligent. I also don’t buy that Meghan
“Leads” him. They seem pretty equal.

  39. BnLurkN4eva says:

I love Meghan’s voice, it’s one of her attraction. I’ve never felt spoken down to when I listen to her, quite the opposite, she sounds reassuring and knowledgeable about the topic on which she is speaking. I actually wish I could be as fluent in my speaking as Meghan actually, no matter how knowledgeable about the subject, I can’t seem to banish the ums and pauses. I have been intending to do toast masters for years, but haven’t gotten around to it. This is a skill set that Meghan even moreso than Harry has and she shouldn’t be insulted because she is good at an enviable talent like being a wonderful speaker.

  40. Lulu says:

Omg this is so racist, sexist and misogynistic! I can’t!! I can’t believe these articles!! HOW do they get green lit? Journalistic standards have gotten so appalling in 2020 😭

  41. Keen Kate says:

Angela: ‘[Meghan] does try to be very regal despite the fact that she wanted to get out of the Royal Family. She’s very regal, she talks down to us, she’s slightly patronising. She always uses the “we” term, the royal we term. That means that everybody must agree with her because she knows what everybody’s thinking. She’s entitled to say what she likes, of course, but it’s her way of saying it.’

    Angela said bitterly and patronisingly

  42. Shoshone says:

The palace and media line since Harry was a little guy was that somehow he was less intelligent, slightly inept, fragile and in need of guidance and supervision for life. William has actively encouraged and still encourages that perception. It’s the way they embiggen William and diminish Harry. Because they are compelled to diminish Harry due to the comparison with William who appears to be an actual dullard. Harry is actually an exceptional young man.

Presenting Meghan as the wife who must direct and guide Harry (because he obviously cannot make decisions for himself, ha ha) is just more of the same abusive behavior. How demeaning, damaging and disgusting on the part of the RF and the ROTA. This is forever on you Willy, Charley and Petty Betty.

  43. Joy says:

What’s wrong with her face? Is it camera filters? Looks strangely frozen and plastic like and moves oddly. Doesn’t look like her at all.
Don’t jump down my throat about women’s choices, I see these comments about tons of women on this sight everyday.

    • Lizzie says:

All I see is a beautiful woman who looks pretty much like she always does. The is one of the most photogenic women in the world.

      • Watson says:

I too don’t see anything wrong about her face. She looks great and I’d kill for her skin which always seems glowy.

  44. Melanie says:

Meghan is obvi very smart and ambitious. I mean this as a compliment. At the same time I do find her too ‘staged’ and rehearsed. I get that she tries hard but she doesn’t come off as authentic to me. I find her voice reminds me of Julia Robert’s and so yeah a little patronizing. Plus she is definitely messing with her face. While she could not have pulled off these deals before marrying Harry, her ability to leverage her new status and be a baller shows how she was never going to be satisfied being held back by the royals. The question I have is Harry able to keep up with her?

    • Anne K says:

It’s odd how you got in as many digs in your post basically implying Meghan is leading Harry, commenting on her face and claiming she’s messing with it and calling her patronizing

      • Melanie says:

Anne K. These are my opinions only and I don’t expect all to agree, which is cool. I am able to admire qualities of Meghan while also reflecting on how she appears to me. The deification of celebrities, public figures and the like confounds me. People are usually much more complex than net culture which increasingly in 2020 has become so polarized. It’s all black or white, right or left, right or wrong with not a shade of gray. So yeah Meghan is very smart and ambitious and beautiful. But that doesn’t make her perfect. Nor is she a victim either. I’d say like most public figures she will receive her fair share of vitriol – some of which will be disgusting, but beyond that I would say that her life is pretty good right now. I wager she is happy with it. Our opinions at the end of the day are only important in that we care enough to comment… but matter little in the big scheme, particularly to her.

      • Jane's Wasted Talent says:

        Good call, Anne.

    • Nyro says:

The jealousy jumped out, girl. She hasn’t done anything to her face and she has gorgeous skin like most 39 year old black women. Stop protecting Kate’s skin issues and botox addiction onto her. And you might want to learn to be more subtle if you’re going to try to throw shade.

  45. Lilly (with the double-L) says:

Oh my gosh. That clip was so sweet. So, a president and prince who love and adore each other, apparently.

  46. blunt talker says:

How Meghan speaks shows she has an education and lets her education work for her speaking tone. We have had enough or uneducated talk and yelling these past 4 years-please give me a break-I like normal educated people to talk please-I like Harry’s voice because it is deep and smooth-rather soothing.

‘[Meghan] does try to be very regal despite the fact that she wanted to get out of the Royal Family. She’s very regal, she talks down to us, she’s slightly patronising. She always uses the “we” term, the royal we term. That means that everybody must agree with her because she knows what everybody’s thinking. She’s entitled to say what she likes, of course, but it’s her way of saying it.’

THIS JUST IN: if you’re not a card-carrying member of a royal family, you are no longer allowed to sound regal. If you don’t want to be a member of a royal family, you are DEFINITELY not allowed to sound regal. And GOD FORBID you try to talk about you and your partner together in the same sentence. That’s using “the royal we” which means you’re covertly telling everyone around you that everyone MUST agree with you, otherwise off with their heads. Or something.

Seriously though–does Angela Levin understand what a fucking tell this particular line is: “She always uses the “we” term, the royal we term. That means that everybody must agree with her because she knows what everybody’s thinking.”

So what are you saying Angela? Anyone who uses “the royal we term” is patronizing and expects everyone to agree with them because they know what everyone is thinking? So am I to understand that people like the Queen are actually ginormous snobs who look down their noses at everyone and would love nothing more than to dictate to the rest of us about what we should agree with and think? Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

@Katherine who says and I quote:
“And since Meghan it’s always just been so clear to me through his language (both verbal and body, if we’re going to be experts on this now) he 100% thinks he found someone so out of his league and married up by like 100 levels. Despite being a prince. And I love that about him and them.”

This is what upsets them all, the whole entire royal firm, especially his father and brother” It upsets piers and all the white and brown racist british people who have always believed the stupid hype, that the RF is better than them.

They are very mad and gone crazy that “a kind of black girl from compton” according to them has come and shown she is far superior to all of them. And Harry is like “yeah babe i am for all of it. I’ma protect your light with my life and add whatever fuel I have to make it brighter too!! Let us go!!!” 😂😃
