Lilibet Diana ‘is absolutely beautiful, she’s a cross between Harry & Meghan’

archie2

We still don’t technically “know” which royal made a comment to Prince Harry about what his child’s skin color would look like if Harry had a child with then-Meghan Markle. I mean, I think we’ve pretty much worked out who said that to Harry, but the “blind item” still exists out there. What is increasingly funny to me is that Archie ended up looking so much like Harry. Those dusty saltines were so worried about a “Black baby” and then whoops, Archie is a fair redhead, descended from the long, gingery Spencer line. It looks like Archie has his mom’s brown eyes, but beyond that, that child is ALL Harry (and all Spencer). So, I actually have high hopes that Lilibet Diana does look more like her mom. Us Weekly’s source says that Lili looks like both of her parents.

Too cute! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s infant daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, looks like both of her parents.

“Lili is more perfect than Harry and Meghan could ever imagine,” a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “They are so in love with her, and she’s absolutely beautiful. She’s a cross between Harry and Meghan.”

Princess Diana would have been “thrilled” with the name, her former voice coach Stewart Pearce exclusively told Us on Monday, June 7, adding, “As Diana was the personification of love and the exemplar of unconditional love, she would have been so excited by the babe and her beautiful names.”

[From Us Weekly]

I do wonder how Diana would have felt about all of her grandchildren’s names! She felt pretty strongly about her own kids’ names. While I think they agreed about William’s name, Diana and Charles had a big fight over Harry’s name. I think she would have loved being the middle-name for both of her granddaughters, but who knows about Diana’s feelings about the first names. As for Lili looking like both of her parents… is Lili a lil’ redhead or nah? I need to know! This is truly the most pressing royal question of the day.

If my experience is any indication, she will alternate between looking like her mom and then her dad for months and then will end up looking like her own person.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

My oldest nephew came straight out he birth canal looking like he stepped out of a Mafia movie casting room: looking like an old man with a crooked nose 😊 Now, he “grew into” his nose lol, and looks more like his namesake, his maternal great-grandpa.

My younger nephew came out with a full head of dark hair, looking exactly like his dad (and dad’s baby pics). This baby ( who will be 21 in a couple of wks!!) looked like his dad all the way through boyhood; as he went through his early teens, he started looking more like his maternal grandfather (skin tone and hair color/wavy hair), and with his mother’s eyes. Still has his dad’s amazing dimples and full lips though! (And don’t get me started on the dark, long eyelashes! A girl should only be so lucky to have those! lol)

Genetics are funny. But yeah, after all of this, it’d be HYSTERICAL if Li’l Lili looks like the SPITTING IMAGE of Petty Betty, but with red hair! 😄

(I’m hoping she looks as beautiful as her mother though!)

    • lucy2 says:

A lot of my friends have kids in their teens, and it’s kind of fascinating how fast they change, and how they go from looking like one parent to another.

  2. Amy Too says:

Lol US Weekly couldn’t even bother to get the name right. They stuck a Harrison in there for some reason.

    • Jegede says:

Exactly. US Weekly is pretty much in the loo.😁😁

I’m guessing Lili looks more like Harry/Lady Sarah McCorqudale.

      Girls usually resemble their dads.

      • minx says:

Yep, our daughter looks more like my husband and our son more resembles me. Same for lots relatives and friends, funny how that turns out.

      • swirlmamad says:

I have two girls, and my older daughter now more resembles me than my husband, but my younger one is alllll him. (Yet somehow, both girls still manage to look alike!)

    • Becks1 says:

OMG. That’s hilarious. What on earth.

  3. nicegirl says:

I am so excited to see baby Lili.

  4. Snuffles says:

I think that ginger gene must be STRONG! I hope she favors Meghan though!

    • Anna says:

Yes! And freckles, too, like both Meghan and Harry. I’m sure she is absolutely precious.

  5. BothSidesNow says:

Who is this “source”? I am sick of these articles that are providing possibly false information based on a “source”, especially Us paper. But if Lilibet Diana looks like a good mix between the two of them, that’s fabulous!! They are both extremely attractive, hell, Meghan is hot as hell, I am certain that their children will be beautiful anyway!!

    • Legalese says:

The “sources” from People are actually the Sussexes camp a lot. But yeah, not US Weekly.

    • minx says:

The “source” is the writer of the article. It’s laughably generic to say a baby looks like both parents, that the parents are thrilled and in love with their baby, etc. etc.

  6. Jegede says:

    US Weekly😏😏😏

They also claimed the Cambridges have been in constant contact with the Sussexes since the birth.
Yet, Kate’s press conference today pretty much rubbishes that. (Thank God*!!)

*Never forget Kate’s distant demeanour, to new mum Meghan & baby Archie, at that polo match*

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

I will never forget her behaviour at the polo match and at the Commonwealth service.

    • MsIam says:

Was it Katie “know nothing” Nicholl who was claiming that they had been in contact? That sounds like the sugary bull crap she tries to peddle.

  7. Crowned Huntress says:

I saw this little one is gonna be all Meghan with a head of blazing red curls from Harry.
She’ll probably look like Merida from Brave.

    • EnormousCoat says:

Well it seems Meghan must carry the ginger gene bc Archie’s red hair is proof, so maybe Lili will have red hair, too.

      • JaneBee87 says:

It seems to be there on the Markle side. There are pics of her father when younger with red tinged beard/facial hair.

    • Virginia says:

I googled Merida from Brave, OMG! If Lili D looks like her she’ll be stunning!

    • Gail says:

Watched that movie about 2 months ago…this would be a PERFECT description!!

    • booboocita says:

Let’s hope she’s as brave, intelligent, and intrepid as Merida, too!

In Pearl S. Buck’s novel “The Good Earth,” the farmer Wang Lung and his wife take their newborn son, a beautiful, strapping boy, to town to be presented to the lord who lives there in a big house. The boy is roundly praised and admired, and as they walk home, Wang Lung begins to fret that the spirits might hear all the praise and come to snatch his child. So he calls out in a loud voice, “What a pity my son is weak and malformed and ugly! Better he should have died at birth!” His wife realizes what he’s doing and screams, “Yeah, and he’s pockmarked, too!” (I’m paraphrasing; I don’t remember the dialogue.) I sincerely hope Lilibet is beautiful — and given who her parents are, this would not surprise me at all — but I hope there are no malevolent spirits about, apart from a bunch of bitter old farts from Salty White Island who work for Rupert Murdoch.

      • Zaya says:

@booboocita according to ancient Thai superstition, you never say that a baby is cute or beautiful or the spirits might take it away. Instead you say “oh what a ugly hateful baby” (although most people would say in a singsong way not a sneering way).

  8. Nomegusta says:

I don’t know why, but I think it’s the cutest thing in the world when one kid takes after the dad and the other the mom.

  9. VS says:

Meghan is absolutely stunning…….hopefully Lili Diana takes after her mother! she can have H’s eyes just like Archie has his mom’s eyes

H is ok looking so I expect Archie to be ok looking as well; if Archie can escape the balding of his father by 35, he should consider himself lucky LOL

    • Cecilia says:

I think im the only one here but to me archie has meghans face. The only thing he inherited from his father is the headshape and red hair. The rest is all meghan

      • Abby says:

        Agreed

      • VS says:

I have seen some people say that but from the pictures we have seen of him, to me that kid is like a copy/paste of his father…..I only see in him Meg’s eyes in Archie

      • Amelie says:

        And Grandpa Charles’s ears!

      • PrincessK says:

Well he must look like both of them because l recently saw a picture of Diana holding Harry and it was like an exact replica of Archie in South Africa, the eyes especially. But babies change and even adults change. When l was younger l looked half like my mother and half like my father but now l am mostly like my dad.

  10. Plums says:

US Weekly did not talk to anybody who has any idea whatsoever what that newborn looks like, but at least their bland, pleasant fanfiction is bland and sweet.

  11. Riverandtree says:

I actually think Archie looks a lot like Meghan, he is a nice split between Harry and Meghan. Either way, I think we can be sure baby Lili will be a beauty. And more importantly, growing up in that family she will most likely be a kind and caring person. I’m one of the people who hopes they don’t releass a photo of Lili anytime soon, most of the media will just find something to pick on.

    • Consey says:

I wish this young family the best. It breaks my heart to see how these beings are attacking the Sussex for naming this newborn Lilbet. I don’t think they will give Harry’s children any titles. I read if a title isn’t given at birth;) when Charles becomes king these beautiful children won’t be entitled.

I don’t see the Sussex raising their children to be royals. Both Harry and Meghan have been traumatic for this couple and their children. Harry will teach his children about royal life and what to do. To live a life outside of that cesspool country is a nightmare and Dad n Mum have receipts from granny Diana to present times.

      • Feeshalori says:

Both children actually do have courtesy titles since their father is a duke. They’re not using them but Archie is the Earl of Dumbarton and Lili is Lady Lili. The question remains if Charles will deny their prince/princess titles when he comes to the throne.

    • april says:

Archie is a hologram; sometimes he looks like Harry and sometimes like Meghan.

  12. Sofia says:

USWeekly knows nothing. If this came from People, it would be more believable that someone from the Sussex camp is talking

  13. Reece says:

The speculation is fun and all but honestly she’s a newborn. She looks like a scrunchy little newborn. Give her 6mos then I’ll squee.

Yes I’m cranky. I haven’t had my caffeine yet. 😜

  14. Becks1 says:

I’m laughing bc no one who has seen that baby is talking to Us Weekly. But sure, the week old baby is a perfect mix of both parents. What shocking news!!

Archie is adorable and I’m sure Lili is too. I hope she’s sleeping nicely for them lol.

    • MsIam says:

Was it Us Weekly who swore that Harry told Kate they were having twin girls? Or were they the ones who said Meghan cried because she couldn’t have a big baby shower? The gossip industry ain’t what it used to be I guess, with all these NDAs they make people sign.

  15. whatWHAT? says:

my hope for privacy for this family ONLY SLIGHTLY wins out over me wanting to see a pic of little Lili.

But I wanna see a pic! lol I love baby pictures.

  16. Lyli says:

God forbid parents would give birth to a non-beautiful daughter

    • Susan says:

I feel you Lyli. My baby son was the traditional notion of attractive (to my shallow, looks obsessed parents) and then my daughter came along. She’s beautiful in my eyes, but she has a look of her own that doesn’t favor either side. My obnoxious parents said the most passive aggressive things about her looks….I’m still sore (she’s 7 and lost her “awkward baby looks” but I’m still raging inwardly) at the unfair beauty standards these old a holes bestow on newborns and little kids. Looks are NOT EVERYTHING. Rant over lol.

      • Ania says:

I always assumed that you get wiser with age but definitely not the case… My mum constantly comments my daughter’s appearance! that’s she’s pretty, slim, has long legs… she’s 3!!!!! I hate it! I don’t want her growing up convinced it is that important. What if she gains weight? what if her looks change? Would that be terrible? And my mum should know, she’s obsessive about her appearance even in her 60ties…

  17. TheOriginalMia says:

Didn’t realize Lili Diana’s name also included her brother’s middle name, Harrison. Do better, US Weekly!

I’m sure she’s a cutie, who will change appearance over the next year.

  18. Amy Bee says:

I remember when US Weekly or People was reporting that Archie had a full head of hair when in actuality he was bald. So I’m not believing this story.

  19. LBB says:

I think Archie’s hair has turned dark from that video that they released of the family on the beach. I do think he resembles Harry. My three girls look like mixes between their father and myself, but you would never know that they are sisters, genetics are weird.

    • booboocita says:

Tell me about it. My sisters and I look nothing like our parents, but we’re the living image of our father’s mother. In a bit of irony, my brothers look like my mother’s mother.

      • Curious says:

lol my neighbours daughters was red hair girls with very pale skin, while there parents was dark hair. it came from the grandparents.

  20. L4frimaire says:

No one knows what she looks like. She probably looks like newborn Archie right now, scrunchy and sleepy, hopefully less bald, lol. When I look at newborn photos of my two kids, I have a hard time distinguishing between the two. They start to look more distinct at around 4-6 months. As for when we actually get a glimpse, after this week with these nasty attacks, who knows. We deserve nothing.

    • schmootc says:

That’s what I was thinking. She’s a baby, don’t they all look mostly the same at first at least? I mean, sometimes they have hair, sometimes they don’t, but other than that, they’re just big headed little humans. But then I’m not a parent, so what do I know?!

    • Becks1 says:

I can only tell mine apart in pictures based on environment – we lived in a different house when my oldest was born, and he was born in May and the other in November, so even being outside looked different. I always do a check in a picture to make sure i’m right about which kid it is lol.

    • Susan says:

The perks of bald babies: often less heartburn for pregnant mama!

  21. Carmen-JamRock says:

Keeping fingers crossed that we’ll get a pic of PH and the kids for fathers day…..even if its a pic from the back……of H & A sitting on their bench, with Baby Lili in H’s arms and all we see of her is her little hand or finger gripping her daddy’s finger.
With them looking at the dogs playing and with a few chickens free-ranging around.

  22. Catherine says:

US Weekly is a propaganda machine. Churning out story after story trying to convince people they have sources particularly sources in America. IMO they are flooding the internet with stories in order to create Sussex fatigue. So many people claim the Sussexes are always in the media and blame them for it when the vast majority of articles are pure speculation. But they get blamed for “constantly talking”. Everytime the Sussexes announce something without their being any leaks they show how ridiculous these anonymously sourced. US weekly happily embraced the “Duchess Difficult” narrative and have clearly been propping up the Cambridge’s. So I always question the motive of anything they print about the Sussexes. They want people to think that the Sussexes are constantly leaking info.

  23. Jay says:

What, a baby is a combination of her parents? This is groundbreaking news! I wonder who their source is, any middle school biology student? Fascinating!

As much as I would personally love to see Lilli as a fan of babies, I kinda hope H and M protect their child’s faces as much as they can, using strategic photo angles and illustrations. If it keeps Lili from undergoing some nightmare tabloid’s “paper bag test”, I’m okay if we don’t really see her til she goes to college! I’m gritting my teeth imagining how they might criticize her hair (no matter how she styles it), her clothing, her posture etc etc…

  24. Haylie says:

US Weekly is a tabloid that doesn’t know Jack shit. It’s why they bring such groundbreaking scoops as “baby looks like both parents.”

    Well, duh!

  25. Abby says:

Meghan looks so much like her mom that it would be really cute if Lili looked like her, too. Red curls + Meghan’s features would be freaking adorable.

  26. Cessily says:

What a generic statement.. of course she will look like both of them she is their baby. Archie looks like both of them also. Meghans hair had a lot of red from the sun in the pretaped statement for vaxlive, I doubt being pregnant she is highlighting her hair.
I think beautiful is a given she’s a baby.. (and look at her parents and brother they are all gorgeous)
My kids were born with gods of curly black hair but by 2 they were bleach blonde, then as puberty hit they changed back slowly to black hair. Sadly I just keep going gray🤣

  27. Mel says:

I hope that both Archie and Lili-Di grow up to have a head full of glorious curls/coils. Or one of them chooses to have hair like Grandma and they decide to wear dreads. Oh the thought of all those pearls being clutched!

  28. fani says:

baby Archie looks a lot like both his parents. Meghan was also fair when she was a baby, per the photos in this daily mail article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9616519/Fans-brand-Archie-mini-Meghan-newly-resurfaced-pictures.html

  29. Chill says:

Harry may have the Spencer coloring, but if you have seen pictures of Prince Phillip as a young boy and young man with a beard, you see Harry.

  30. Moxylady says:

I don’t know who Archie looks like but he’s so sweet and adorable. I’m sure baby Lili is just as precious. So much love to the new family of Four.

  31. olliesmom says:

The only thing that I know is that I cannot wait to see photos of this baby.

  32. MsIam says:

I wonder if someone realized how horrible the royals looked in the US market with these vicious Lilibet stories and ordered some fake puffery asap? Us Weekly is usually the Cambridges go to for embiggening and now they are gushing over Lilibet? Hmmm, something seems suspicious because a couple of weeks ago they had a negative cover story on Harry and Meghan.

  33. SusanRagain says:

A beautiful and healthy new baby. 😀
The photo of Diana in yellow holding baby Harry makes me want to weep for Diana.
She was so damn young and beautiful and Charles/The Firm treated her terribly.
    RIP Diana

    • Thirtynine says:

Me too. One of the poignant things at the moment with all the Harry, Archie, Lili stories we get so many pictures of Diana as a young mother. Achingly beautiful, but oh so sad.

  34. Vaca says:

    Who is leaking now?

    • Lucylee says:

The article is so generic. It’s a series of statements strung together that would describe most newborn looks and how new parents feel about their child.

  35. Susan says:

That pic of Diana holding Harry (di in yellow) hits me a different way now. Even as a toddler, he looks displeased w the photographer and di looks annoyed and looking away to avoid conflict. Maybe I’m over interpreting one pic…

  36. blunt talker says:

I am just glad they have a healthy baby and that Meghan’s delivery was not difficult this time-I wish them the best
