The Palace won’t complete their investigation into Meghan’s ‘bullying’ until 2022?

Queen Elizabeth ended up making it to the last day of Royal Ascot on Saturday. None of her horses won, but she seemed to have a good time. She always has a good time when she’s around horses and horse culture. Her horses and stables are part of her enormous wealth – she’s not only one of the biggest landowners in the UK, she’s also a major horse breeder and she owns many of the top race horses.

Liz wore a bright blue coat and what looks like a matching turquoise-y dress underneath. She seemed to attend the event with her racing manager John Warren. Some of her family members were around (like Peter Phillips) but she seemed to just hang out with the horse people. I’m getting a kick out of how happy she looks – the courtiers and royal reporters are constantly claiming that Liz is upset, grief-stricken, devastated about this or that, and then she steps out and she’s as happy as can be around horses.

Meanwhile, you know how Buckingham Palace began the “investigation” into Meghan bullying Kensington Palace staffers? BP was super-keen to make a big announcement about the investigation just before the Oprah interview aired. Post-Oprah interview, the palace wanted to get the investigation off their plate, because it was basically Kensington Palace’s clownshow. Now that the investigation is being re-hyped, it’s time to remind everyone that BP hired an outside law firm to investigate the claims (or rather, the orchestrated, racist smear campaign) and Meghan’s lawyers have asked to be copied on all of the claims so Meghan can vigorously defend herself, with receipts. Now the Times (via the Sun) claims that the investigation probably won’t be done until 2022:

Claims that Meghan Markle bullied royal staff are still being investigated after more than three months. The final report from Buckingham Palace’s probe was due to be released this week – but it could be delayed until 2022. An independent law firm was expected to reveal the finer details in the annual Sovereign Grant report. But royal sources have confirmed the inquiry is “ongoing”, The Times reports. So it means things could be pushed back until next year’s report.

[From The Sun]

My take is that somewhere inside BP, they know that this is a big fat mess and that Baldemort the Incendescent f–ked up. If they had found evidence of Meghan’s “unhinged” behavior after three months of investigating, we would have been told that by now. They would have shouted it from the rooftops. They’re hoping to drag out the investigation because there’s not a lot of evidence that Meghan bullied people, but there’s ample evidence (like, a paper trail) that Meghan was mistreated by staffers and the institution. And you know what? The Queen should have shut this sh-t down a long time ago. Her actions have not protected the Crown. She has shown poor leadership throughout this entire ordeal.

  1. lanne says:

You know what there hasn’t been an investigation of? Prince Andrew. Where oh where are these crisis advisors?

  2. Calibration says:

Apart from their reasons for 22, dragging it on order to bully Meghan even further, but mostly the distraction from Baldimort. I just can’t help thinking how lazy these idiots are. Like, it takes that long for a basic hr investigation? Just awful awful idiots.

    • Jegede says:

KP are deliberately timing it to be released ahead of Jubilee celebrations next year.

Nothing like a slew of anti-Meghan headlines to get the British juices flowing.

      • Robyn says:

I quite honestly thinking they are timing for either the Jubilee or her death, so they can just “forget” about this stupid investigation and ride the wave of goodwill over the Queen passing.

      • Calibration says:

        I agree it’s the Jubilee

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

They’re pushing it because they’re hoping “out of sight, out of mind”… that people will forget, and this garbage will be forgotten in the on slew of fresh crap.

If they had *anything* really tangible The Other Bitter Brother would have it splashed out on the front pages, and be screaming it from a parapet in KP.

      • The Hench says:

Exactly. The law firm came in, presumably from experience estimated it would take three months to investigate (KP not a huge operation), got to the end of three months and has zip. Because if they HAD found evidence that Meghan had bullied staff, as they have repeatedly claimed, KP would have joyously provided an independent verdict which showed they were right.

This is classic fudge and drift in operation.

      • whatWHAT? says:

yeah, it’s like Trump’s and the GOP’s health plan they kept saying would be released “in two weeks” when anyone asked.

keep pushing it back and hope people forget.

      • Lady D says:

@The Hench, I get the meaning of fudge, but what is meant by drift?

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

@LadyD- I think it’s meant as letting it slide, and hope it’s forgotten.

      • pottymouth pup says:

perhaps they expect it will take them that long to get staff to sign additional NDAs and do some fancy footwork creating a paper trail and funding to pay people off to make claims against Meghan

    • Carmen-JamRock says:

I dont think we should all just assume that Schillings will agree to dragging this out to ’22. Saying it wont be ready until the SG report of ’22 is just BP’s offer. The SG report has nothing to do with this investigation. I’m SURE Schillings have pushed back on the ’22 suggestion but of course, the RotaRats exist to help push the RF agenda so theyre gonna spread the story that the report wont be ready before ’22 but wont report on Schillings’ pushback.

  3. Mette says:

Thisi is so f-ing ridiculous. Makes sense that it will take that long to make up more stories about this asinine crap.

  4. Neners says:

They’re dragging it out for three reasons:
    1) So they can hang the bullying headline above her head for another year and keep the negative association going

    2) Because they know d*mn well there is no evidence of Meghan bullying anyone, and

    3) To delay the avalanche of receipts that Meghan and her lawyers could and would use in her defense that would further reveal the rot in the RF.

KP is run by idiots. They handed Meghan a basket of grenades with this false accusation. Now, all she has to do is pull the pin and aim true.

    • Cecilia says:

You think meghan is ready to go to court over this? I sure hope she is. It doesn’t take a year to read a complaint and then look if hr acted accordingly. So this whole investigation is bogus.

      • Neners says:

I’m no legal expert, but it sounds like her lawyers have made it clear they will push back on every single accusation. Hard. I’d be curious to know if there is legal precedent for doing so in a court of law 🤔

      • Becks1 says:

You don’t need lawyers just because you want to go to court. Her lawyers are going to want to sit in on every meeting between a staffer and the investigators, they probably are going to want to question the staffers themselves, they’re going to want access to every email or correspondence concerning Meghan and the bullying allegations.

And then her lawyers are going to prepare a detailed response to whatever BS report the palace comes up with and its going to be bad.

      • Cecilia says:

@becks1; the thing is, it isn’t an investigation into meghan. Its an investigation into their own hr department. But they basically branded meghan guilty with these dumb claims. So is there even any ground for her lawyers to be involved at all?

      • Becks1 says:

@Cecilia I’m not familiar with UK HR law (and it seems the palace isn’t either, ha), but with things like this having lawyers involved is definitely better than not. Lawyers following up with an investigation into claims made against their client that were published in a major newspaper – that certainly seems reasonable to me. We lawyers like to be involved as much as we can, lol.

Maybe if the claims hadn’t been so public it would be a different story, but as it is – BP can’t just say “investigation over, all done!” Meghan isn’t standing for that, and she needs her lawyers to help with that.

      • Rose says:

It’s been a while since I did this but my understanding is that officially you have to exhaust procedures – so here that’s the investigation finished with a verdict and a
potential appeal of that investigation. I’d expect both. That means that a year or 3 months isn’t going to be enough to make a case that they’ve unreasonably delayed.
Court can happen after the report is issued and then it’s an Administrative Law case. You see them in school board or HR cases quite a bit.

      • Soupie says:

I wonder if there is a UK legal loophole that can help them get around having Meghan’s attorneys sit in on those meetings. And are these going to be informal meetings with each employee or an actual deposition under oath?

Again as I said on another thread I’m so looking forward to seeing them squirm. Although I don’t think they’ll let it get to that point. They’ll prefer egg on their face re vague assertions (b.s.) to squirming after info coming out about a formal deposition.

And no way will the Palace’s attorneys allow a formal deposition under oath, at least it doesn’t seem likely.

      • Rose says:

Not really. They must follow the rule for natural justice – i.e there must be fair procedures and no appearance of bias or undue influence. If they fail to do any of that it’s an open and shut case for Meghan’s lawyers in court. That may not mean lawyers present for questioning but it means that each side must have equal access.

    • Myra says:

I agree with you about hanging this over her head for another year. So long as they don’t report the findings, Meghan cannot challenge them openly. I also feel like they will limit the scope to such an extent that they can legally say, they never accused her of anything – they are just investigating their internal structures/work policies. Instead, we will get a dozen or hundreds more tabloid pieces with anonymous sources on the findings, but nothing concrete that Meghan can legally do anything about.

      • Carmen-JamRock says:

They accused her of “bullying.” Now her lawyer is demanding evidence.

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

At some point is has to become an issue of SLANDER. UK celebitches, what are your laws about slander (and libel, if any palace actually puts all this horseshit in writing)?

      • Robin Samuels says:

KP, Jason Knauf accused MM of bullying. Allegedly he consulted with HR. I don’t believe there are written statements, or evidence that the accused was consulted in person with a written backup. I’m confident M has sufficient backup. He said she said it’s not how this works. When they observed that M did not back down from the copyright infringement bullying ( court appearance, Thomas Markle, etc) they should have taken a seat. But no William the Conqueror forged on. By 2022, Jason Knauf will be in another country, the Queen will be preparing for her Look At Me party and William’s dark past will be exposed ( wishful thinking. 🙏🏽)

    • FC says:

And 4. So that their staff members don’t have to commit perjury.

    • Demi says:

Probably they are delaying it for another year to cover their asses! this delay and the whole issues of Kanuf leaving..KP wants to cover their tracks that they manufactured the allegations. Then they will come up and say they don’t have enough information on this matter because key people left or the alleged bullied staff don’t wish to address this matter something so that they can wash their hands& at the same time, Meghan still looks guilty in the eyes of white British folks ..Nasty people.

    • Rose says:

Deleted as it’s in the wrong place

  5. Hanna says:

My theory is that cambriges marraige is beyond savable and next year they might be a divorce. That’s why we got a weird story abt home buying. They are saving this bullying stuff , so they can distract people with this rather than cambriges marraige imploding. I think cambriges divorce is on card and they will use Sussex as distraction and quietly divorce like the peter and autumn.

    • Heylee says:

I don’t know. Basically the only thing semi positive that William has going for him is being kid adjacent. Like those pictures of him or videos of him with his children are the only humanizing images of him. A divorce seriously damages that image currency? I just think he’ll hang on to that marriage if he can.

      • Becks1 says:

Ah but see the Father’s Day outing with just the two oldest kids and no Kate. He can spin the “doting single father” image just as well as the “happy family man” image (and the two do not have to be mutually exclusive.)

      • Hanna says:

That picture particularly screams single dad vibe. Cambriges have a habit of doing things hidden and later we found out what those means. They are very careful with their images and how they pictured. Especially kate cares more about how her picture comes out , that extended to her children. I remember that one of her stan proudly says on twitter that she heard from someone in the palace that Kate used to send her assistant to the place like day or months before and take a photo of that place so that she can dress according to weather , color etc. She is always theme dressing . This way look how William the future king and single dad allow his kids to dress casually, where kate who separate from William dress her kids in royal traditional way. I mean look at her carrying monarchy on her shoulders and because is the traditionalist and peacemaker Kate she is.

      • equality says:

But by still being married he has to be very careful with affairs and he might think that if he is single more women will be his fans and want him.

      • Lady D says:

More women will want him. That’s the goal of the future king and leader of the Church? He must be completely ego driven, not a compassionate thought in his head. Mighty fine man that William.

    • sunshine says:

i don’t see a divorce coming any time soon. it doesn’t seem to me like there’s a lot of love in this marriage but, lately, there’s a real closing-the-ranks feel with the firm. will must realise how bad a public split will look + kate’s come this far to be queen! as much as the royal family may resent and occasionally backstab each other, i do think they all know what needs to be done. they realise the existential threat to the crown and they know ultimately they need to stick together.

but … they could very well blow it all up at any point, what with their dumb PR, excessive smear campaigns, and so on. i mean, some of the rota have been aggressively propping w&k so much it makes you wonder what’s really going on there. at the same time they slyly allude to problems with the marriage from time to time (like they used to do with the queen and philip). what if what the tabloids (seem to) know comes out one day, and the palace has run out of fodder and distractions? what will happen then?

    • Nina says:

I think that might be out of their hands. Because PWT was so out front with his allegations, international newspapers have picked up this story. I think PWT has overplayed his hand. His latest attacks have opened a whole new can of worms.
Also, Meghan should not let this die. She should demand a full investigation. This campaign against her has damaged her reputation not only in Britain, but also internationally.
If the Cambridge marriage is imploding, we are probably going to see a feeding frenzy like when his parents divorced, and 1000 times worse because of the internet.

  6. India says:

As we all know, TQ does not like confrontation of any kind. This trait of hers makes her an ineffectual leader. She could have stopped all of this long ago but she didn’t. And now there is a mess of insurmountable proportions because of Baldimort’s rage and Kween’s jealously. She had better get off her old weak a$$ and deal with it or her precious monarchy is at great risk for being destroyed.

    • LMR says:

The queen spent her life trying to maintain the illusion that the monarchy is necessary and functional. Of course it is neither. She had neither the time nor the talent for actually leading.

  7. Seraphina says:

It’s very sad, no make that DISAPPOINTING, to me that her family is literally burning down around her and she’s at the races and giddy with happiness over race horses. But I have learned she has never been much of a motherly type so expecting her to show any sign of concern of the situation is really stupid on my part.

    • lanne says:

I think she’s either losing capacity or she has completely checked out. She just wants pleasant things around her, and doesn’t want to hear about anything complicated or bad. Maybe she figures none of it is really her problem anymore. I wouldn’t really blame her for having that attitude, but she should probably just create a formal regency and retire. She’s had enough jubilees already. She can put herself out to pasture with her old horses and dogs.

      • BnlurNforever says:

Except, she’s always operated this way long before she had anything like age to justify her weakness as a leader.

    • Becks1 says:

To me it goes to what some of us have been saying here for a few weeks now – the Queen really is checked out like @lanne said. Maybe she is kept in the dark with these things, maybe she knows but doesnt have the energy to care at this point, maybe she doesnt know “how” to stop it – but I think she’s out of mental bandwidth so to speak for anything besides horses and corgis and Andrew.

ETA I want to make clear that while it sounds like I’m giving her a pass, I’m not. If she’s checked out, then she should have delegated to someone who can control this mess. It’s clear that Charles can’t or won’t control this (i.e. William and KP), so the Queen may be “checking out” but there is still a firestorm around her and someone at one of the palaces should make a move to stop it.

      • Cecilia says:

The queen never really got involved when her family is falling apart tho. Her not getting involved is actually quite on brand for her

      • Merricat says:

Agreed, Becks. Cecilia, she relied on Phillip for that.

      • Becks1 says:

@Cecilia true, this is pretty on brand for her, but at least she had Phillip and she delegated the family crises to him, and I think he was running the family maybe right up until late 2019. Remember when he got his ass to Balmoral in a hurry when Fergie showed up and the queen was going to church with Andrew after Epstein was killed? He’s the one who sent Andrew packing from Balmoral a few days later. He’s the one who realized how bad the images of the Queen and Andrew smiling in the car were. That was less than 2 years ago.

It just seems the Queen has not “delegated” anyone in place of Phillip and the different PR machines are just out of control.

    • Hanna says:

Do you really think queen knows what’s going on ?? Even in her prime time queen hardly paid attention to andrew debacles. That time she only cares when it happen and end up in papers. Now she is in her twilight years and I’m sure courtiers hide most things from her. These people live in bubble and people around them control the information they get . Charles is the one running things now. This entire mess was created by cambriges and kp. Now bp is cleaning this mess and strangely clearance house is missing from this equation. BP is much more experinces in these kind of stuff and there are many rumors in the past how staff at bp and ch disgusted the way kp handle stuff. BP only job to clean the mess created by ch and kp. They do it in the name of queen.

      • Cecilia says:

I don’t see how after the oprah interview she cannot know how badly things were and are.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Cecilia, I have a vision in my head, that just like in the movie “White Christmas”, Buckingham Betty has an “aide de camp” (like the Danny Kaye character) who’s job it was to get BB away from the tv when it came on, so she wouldn’t see it. Perhaps this aide pulls the BP breaker switch so the electricity goes out in her room, if she’s watching tv and a clip comes on. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I know, I know… but that’d be friggin’ hysterical! lol

  8. Merricat says:

It’s so obvious that they don’t have any evidence. If they did, they’d be shouting it from the rooftops. They want to sow a seed of doubt, but all they’re doing is showing their asses.

    • Seraphina says:

And she who shows off her arse the best is FFQC – pun intended. Sorry, I could not resist.

      • Cecilia says:

This is a very wild and bold claim to make but I actually think that those bullying claims are about kate. *sips tea*

      • Merricat says:

She was showing us who she is, lol.

      • Becks1 says:

@Cecilia I don’t think that’s such a wild claim to make. We know that Kate and William burn through staff but that gets brushed aside in favor of the Sussexes staff turnover. We know that a housekeeper and gardener left Anmer Hall and went BACK to Sandringham bc the Cambridges were too demanding. And we know that Kate is obsessed with her status and standing. I don’t think it’s that wild to assume that Kate is a bully behind closed doors with her staff.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Becks, let’s not forget, that housekeeper/gardener couple left Amner in LESS THAN SIX MONTHS!!!

And we’ve ALL heard that CarolE is the boss there. I think that there were complaints about HER bossing and bullying workers. And KP is covering for CAROLE (with Kate buoyed by Mummy).

      • equality says:

@Cecilia That would tie in with house hunting and maybe slowly phasing Kate out and delaying the investigation. William would have a good reason to ditch Kate then because she was bullying and put it off on Meghan with Knauff’s help and ran off his “beloved” brother. The William and Harry fighting story that appeared would then be Kate’s attempt to give him some blame.

      • Nic919 says:

And we also shouldn’t forget that Carole and Kate were banned from a store for their belligerent behaviour toward staff.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Nic919… WHAT???? I’ve never heard about this! Details/links!!???

    • Teebee says:

It’s like Benghazi and “her emails!” But the Brits are remaking an American sitcom instead of the other way around… and failing miserably.

  9. Cecilia says:

“ She has shown poor leadership throughout this entire ordeal.” this is kind of what the queen always does tho. When leadership is truly needed she rather puts her head in the sand and let others deal with it.

    • Elizabeth says:

Yeah it’s a little weird to read all the comments here always bending over backwards to give the best possible construction to the queen’s actions or lack thereof.

Guys. She is (at BEST) incompetent. This is what you get with the “hereditary” principle. Incompetents who think they’re divinely anointed with special and different blood because they had one ancestor a thousand years ago.

She is the embodiment of a racist, colonialist (collapsing) empire. She isn’t a nice person. She isn’t a sweet little old grandma. Is that such a hard thing to accept?

      • Lola says:

I see her as a human person BECAUSE the hereditary principle is bullshit. She is as human as anyone else, no more, no less. I have no idea who she is as a person, any more so than I know who any celebrity is as a person behind their public image. She might be “sweet” or “nice,” nobody knows. She’s the symbol of a racist empire, but not the “embodiment” of it because again, that’s not possible, it’s not possible for her to be more than human or invested with something supernatural more than anyone else.

She’s quite literally a random old woman who’s been arbitrarily held up as a symbol. That’s it. Her actual human self is a separate thing from that and nobody knows what that self is.

  10. Amy Bee says:

I’m glad Meghan is fighting back and asking for a thorough investigation including to be interviewed about the claims. The royalists are asking why she would want this, but it seems simple to me, she wants to clear her name. Perhaps the royalists are afraid that KP will be exposed as the bullies and for having a toxic work environment. I hope when the investigation is over that Meghan will sue KP.

  11. Eurydice says:

They’re dragging it out because there is no investigation.

    • BeanieBean says:

That’s me theory. Nobody is looking into anything. They made baseless allegations & continue to run with those.

  12. equality says:

Are they possibly waiting until Knauff is in another country so they can claim he’s not available to protect him so he doesn’t spill the beans about who is really behind the charges? Funny how he was so adamant about the letter until it actually came down to perjury in court. Someone on Twitter thinks they are dragging it out so that H&M won’t come to the Jubilee next year.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Something here… Do you remember when Diana’s butler, I think we’re talking about Paul Burrell, was accused of “stealing” Diana’s letters and things after her death (he claimed he gave them to her for safe keeping). This went all the way to court. And lo and behold, before some VERY pertinent info was to be heard in court, Buckingham Betty stepped in and said it was all a “misunderstanding” and the case was dropped! No more claims of theft.

I think that will happen here. This will be allowed to make noise, but then it will be shut down when (if you’ll forgive the saying- in light of bullying- push comes to shove to prove it in court.

      • bamaborn says:

Yes, remember that. Betty spoke from on high, told a lie that she knew Diana had given these items to the butler and just like that, everything went away.

      • Demi says:

That was bad he was accused of taking her belongings and wearing her dresses!

    • Jaded says:

Knauf planned this whole bullying thing. That’s why he was moved to the Foundation, and now is leaving in 2022 for another planet. You can run Jason, but you can’t hide. Meghan has ALL the receipts.

      • Nina says:

I bet this result was never what Knauf had in mind. He and PWT were going to destroy Meghan run her out of the country, PWT will have his scapegoat back and things will go on as before. They never thought that Harry would leave with her, or that she would fight back and win. I bet Knauf is shitting bricks right now because he can see the train coming won the tracks and he is tied to the track.

  13. Lowrider says:

They need to buy some people into spinning a fake story.

  14. Becks1 says:

At this point, if this was a competent investigation, we would have heard more about names and specifics. Maybe we wouldn’t have had the full report, but we would have heard SOMETHING. Instead its all these vague comments about how mean Meghan was but there is zero specific. Harry yelling down the phone is the most specific thing we heard….but I don’t think the Cambridges want to expose who yells the most in the royal family.

This may be what really blows the lid off the royal institution, Meghan is going to insist that the results of the investigation be made public AND she is going to respond publicly. And you don’t think that other staffers who have been mistreated are going to come forward to say something? “Well now miss granddaughter of an earl, you say that Meghan threw a telephone at your head?” “No sir, I said that the Prince of Wales threw a telephone at my head.” (investigator slides report into trash can.) A LOT of shit could come out about how the royals really act behind closed doors and it won’t paint any of them in a good light.

I think Charles is seething at William for this – he completely overplayed his hand and now he’s caused a HUGE mess that the royals can’t really clean up without admitting that it was all made up.

    • Merricat says:

Exactly. There is no investigation, because the truth does not support the accusation. They have shunted it off to the future in hopes that everyone will forget about it. I hope Meghan’s attorneys pursue them to the doors of hell.

    • L84Tea says:

There really is no way out of this without KP having to admit some form of defeat. These tactics that KP keep pulling–the knee-jerk reactions and assumptions to what they think might be said–are what sociopaths do. Sociopaths will just lie on the spot without any thought for how it will play out later when the lie is exposed. William really screwed the pooch with this one.

    • Eurydice says:

This situation is more and more weird every day. They got rid of Meghan, Will doesn’t have competition from Harry anymore, and the Oprah interview/mental health series would have died down in a few months, if they’d just ignored it. Sure, the press is still a bunch of rabid dogs, so feed them something good instead of something bad – just a crumb of possible family feeling to put a cap on it. Instead the situation is escalating and I can’t see a logical reason for it on the surface. Maybe it is just Wills going bananas – I don’t know. If I were a producer, I’d send the script back for a rewrite because this doesn’t make sense even as a soap opera.

      • Jais says:

I think William went to Lacey after the Oprah interview to get his side out. Lacey is cashing in with these extra chapters. The book is about to come out so the excerpts are bringing the bullying claims back up which in turn leads to questions about the bullying investigation. BP prob wants it to go away but really William’s need to get his side out and have Meghan called a sociopathic b*tch and damaged goods in public has just brought it all back up. In this way, Lacey’s book is doing William no favors because there is a renewed interest in the bullying claims with more evidence of the terrible things KP staffers were saying and leaking. Which is all of William’s making and his need to win and I’m not sure there is more to it than that. It’s just coming up at the same time as all the other PR competition stories between the houses and bw even Kate and William.

      • BayTampaBay says:

“Lacey is cashing in with these extra chapters.”

Your statement, my good friend, is the whole gist of all of this!

      • Eurydice says:

@Jais – I get that Lacey is selling a book, what I don’t get is how calling Meghan and Harry a lot of ugly and offensive names is presenting William’s “side of the story.” When you give your side of the story, it should be to a sympathetic ear – like with the Oprah interview – not to someone who’ll make you look like a violent crackpot.

The only way William’s approach makes sense to me is if he doesn’t care what people think of him because he’s going to be king and nobody can do anything about it. The palace statement at the beginning of all this stressed that H&M were still beloved family members and that the situation would be addressed as a family. But what if William doesn’t want Harry back in the family, so he causes a big stinking dust up whenever it looks like Harry will cross the Atlantic. First, Phillip’s funeral, now Diana – a furor guaranteed to disgust Harry and Meghan and keep them on their side of the world.

      • Jais says:

Why would William put this out as his side of the story when it such a nasty self-own? William and his KP inner circle literally don’t understand how bad this looks. They really think they are doing something here. I mean in some sense just repeating Meghan’s name in the tabloids with the words sociopath, damaged goods, and unhinged for long enough will be enough for that to seep into the consciousness of certain parts of the the public. Idk that’s all I’ve got.

      • Eurydice says:

@Jais – yes, I suppose I should consider that William is related to Andrew, and Andrew thought his BBC interview went brilliantly. It’s hard for me to put myself in the shoes of people who think everything they do is right.

    • swirlmamad says:

This might explain too why William has been making himself so scarce recently. Maybe Charles is really furious about how much W has cocked up this entire thing — putting everyone front and center to be scrutinized about what is REALLY going on, and he’s now in time out.

  15. Lauren says:

Meghan’s lawyers are keeping their feet on BP’s neck. They aren’t letting the matter go until they can properly review all accusations and respond to each one of them. BP was hoping to make it go away quietly, but they should have known the moment that THAT matter was put in the media they would have some pushback from the Sussexes.

    • L84Tea says:

I’m seriously starting to wonder how many times these fools are going to try to play these games with the Sussexes before they learn. H&M’s lawyers are not here to play.

  16. Sofia says:

I think it’s great that Meghan and her lawyers are willing to fight back. There was a tweet going around saying that the report was apparently just going to focus on the handling of the complaints as opposed to the complaints itself but Meghan and her lawyers want every accusation refuted and for them to have the ability to do a point by point refusal of a report/accusations.

  17. lanne says:

The royals sound like the idiot American general in the Vietnam War who insisted the US military had to burn down Vietnamese villages in order to save them. They are literally burning their own institution to the ground. How are they supposed to go out and represent brand royal to the world? How are they supposed to manage their work, their royal tours, with all this mess going on? Will people still clamor for knighthoods now (and let it be known that the medal they receive is a white individual stepping on a black individual—meant to represent st Michael the archangel vs satan. How has that not made the rounds in the past? But that cats out of the bag now.). Will people want to get that award pinned to their chest by Prince William if brand royal becomes synonymous with white supremacy? Can they survive if their followers become exclusively MAGA/Brexit types?

All of this over the wife of the 6th in line to the throne whose crime was getting chosen by said 6th in line.

  18. LMR says:

I don’t think an investigation has even begun, but Schillings will hopefully change that. My guess is that the supposed “victims” of the fictional bullying do not want to participate in any way, and they are refusing to make statements on the record. They were simply asked to be accountable in the jobs for which they were hired, didn’t like it, and accused M of bullying.

BP, KP and the individual employees involved want this to go away. They never wanted Jason Knauf to report it in the first place. The email to Simon Case was only supposed to result in PWT punishing the Sussexes somehow.

I hope Mr. Knauf is sweating in his skivvies because he has slandered and libelled Meghan, and he knows it can be proved. What will come out in a real investigation is that those who were hired to work for the Sussexes undermined them in any way they could, and sent nasty gossipy emails about them.

    • BnlurNforever says:

I don’t even think they made any such accusations. I think this is all trumped up by Knauf in his efforts to abuse Meghan and do his master’s (Willileaks) bidding. I believe a few employees were involved in undermining Meghan because they couldn’t abide working for an American, biracial, but mostly to please W/K. I honestly don’t believe any of them went on the record about any bullying, that’s Jason Knauf and it will eventually come to light, I hope. This thing stinks to high heaven and unfortunately because these people, (all the royals including QE2) were handed positions they are not qualified for, they keep blundering along.

  19. Lizzie says:

IIRC the victims queuing up to tell their tales did not once complain formally or to HR at all. All of the allegations come from Jason’s email claiming folks were crying in the aisle and hiding from Meghan.
I can just hear Meghans lawyers ‘so do you have any emails to coworkers or family where you documented this abuse?, No you say, I see well how many times did you phone the dm and describe the duchess as a bitch, MeGain, unhinged or a narcissist?’ It will be a report from Meghans lawyers that I hope to see CNN reporting. Jason certainly didn’t come through for the dm and lie for them in Meghans law suit and I don’t see him going on record with lawyers with a big lie and open to a lawsuit.

  20. aquarius64 says:

BP and CH know these accusations were bogus, which is why I think Jason Knauf is resigning (read fired). He and Bulli-am wrote checks their @$$e$ can’t cash and put the institution more at risk. The Windsors saw Meghan take on the Fail – and won; and I think her lawyers threatened to go court and have Jason and anyone involved repeat what they said under oath. That’s why this is getting buried.

    • Becks1 says:

I think this is a big part of why Jason is gone too – his name is the one featured most prominently in the Times story by Valentine Low about the bullying.

      • JT says:

I absolutely think this is the case. William and Jason went too far and they got the firm into some shit that they have to now clean up.

  21. MsIam says:

I remember Meghans friend Janina (sp?) said she hoped that there would be an investigation because she knew about the misconduct of the aide that was fired (Michelle, I think?) and that now it would be exposed. I believe she is the one who is the friend of Jason’s and the one that was in tears about being “bullied”. Whatever went down, I believe that is what Meghan has the ” receipts” about. I’m guessing it must be really bad and it must involve others besides Jason and Michelle. Otherwise KP (William and Kate) would throw those two under the bus quickly.

    • Nic919 says:

I think they are referring to Melissa Toubati as the one who was let go. She was also friends with Knauf prior to being hired.

  22. Woo woo says:

I worked a little in this area in the UK. Three months for an investigation is reasonable, IF you choose to throw lawyers, money and time at it.

    • Becks1 says:

So you’re saying they could have gotten this investigation done by now, it doesn’t need to take a year?

      • Jaded says:

Easily. I worked in HR at a large media company for many years and as soon as we’d receive a complaint of bullying we’d get our lawyers on it immediately. Nothing ever took more than 3 months to resolve one way or another even at the most senior levels. This is just bullsh*t stonewalling until Jason’s out of the country. There’s going to be a ton of information made public around his and Melissa’s shenanigans if KP/BP legal teams don’t drop this.

  23. Lady Digby says:

Craig Brown did extensive research for his book on Princess Margaret and gathered a lot of staff gossip about how imperious she and other members of RF behaved. In his DM column he discussed the behaviour of Prince Andrew and what a spoilt entitled brat he was. If memory serves he cited one incident of a partly clothed Prince Andrew bellowing for a servant to find his missing sock.
Begs the question do they even dress themselves? This investigation could open up a spotlight on behind the scenes life that RF will want to keep hidden, another own goal methinks!

    • ArtHistorian says:

Charles once choked a member of his staff!! That is actually the most egregious case I’ve heard of. It was in the papers years ago.

  24. MMadison says:

Interesting that after Phillip’s death the family said they would “surround” the Queen with love and protect her for Phillip. Since Phillip’s death she has smiled more than ever and seems to rebuke the presence of her family. IMO The Queen is DONE with it all. She has given the entire mess to Charles and trying to live out her remaining years the best she knows how. She’s a tad off with the sword cutting of a cake and saying out loud what is told to her in private (just smile and pretend you’re happy) so maybe they have decided to parade her out for certain things and allow Charles to began the process of running the monarchy into the ground in the meantime .

    • MangoAngelesque says:

She even made a point of having Harry and Meghan’s photo on her table during her meeting with Boris Johnson, which I can’t imagine her courtiers were too happy about.

  25. Jill says:

The Queen does look very happy here, but she seems to have lost a significant amount of weight since Phillip’s passing. Grief can definitely lead to lack of appetite.

  26. diana says:

Yeah they have nothing. This is bs.

  27. Shannon says:

Does that mean we will here about this diversity czar in 2022?

    LMAO…more Clown Town antics.
