Prince Andrew was going ‘stir crazy’ in Windsor, so he jetted off to Balmoral again

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, opens the Francis Crick Institute in London

Prince Andrew is terrified to travel outside the UK. He’s terrified that the FBI will send some international SWAT team to rendition him to the US for questioning in connection to his role in Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s human trafficking operation. He’s also terrified to leave any “royal property” for fear that David Boies’ process server will jump out of a bush to serve him with papers for Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit. He’s been hiding from the process server since July, and since he returned from a trip to Balmoral, he’s been hiding out in Royal Lodge, on the larger Windsor Castle estate. Well, apparently poor pervert Andrew was going stir crazy in Windsor. So he jetted off to see mummy again.

Prince Andrew, who was once used to jetting off to America, the Caribbean, or Europe on lavish vacations, has seriously circumscribed vacay options these days. Now, in an itinerary of dreary summer travels that would have appalled the “Air Miles Andy” of old, Andrew has fled to the safety of his mother’s Balmoral estate in Scotland for the second time in a month.

Andrew is believed to have made the dash north in an attempt to avoid the humiliation of being physically served papers in Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s upcoming civil lawsuit against him. British newspaper the Sun published pictures of Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who still lives with him, in the passenger seats of a car that was apparently whisking them the 500 miles to Balmoral. The paper says there have been “multiple attempts” to serve the papers on Andrew at his home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

Andrew is reported to have been going “stir-crazy” at the property. Although the Lodge, which was formally the late queen mother’s home, has extensive grounds that are a far from claustrophobia-inducing 98 acres, Andrew has reportedly been unwilling to go outside for fear of being pounced on by agents working for famed U.S. attorney David Boies.

Boies previously said in a BBC interview that it was not legally necessary to physically serve Andrew with any paperwork. However Andrew is believed to be fearful the theatrically minded Boies may seek to do so anyway, to shame Andrew and boost interest in the case.

Andrew might feel freer to venture outside at Balmoral, which includes some 50,000 acres of grouse moors, forestry, and farmland, access to which is tightly controlled, especially when the queen is in residence.

A source told the Sun: “Andrew was going stir-crazy inside Royal Lodge for the past few weeks. He wasn’t going horse riding and couldn’t step outside because of attempts to serve him with the legal papers. He knows he is far safer up at Balmoral on the queen’s estate.”

[From The Daily Beast]

While I think the way this story is framed is kind of funny, I would like to point out that in recent years, Andrew has made multiple summer trips to Balmoral too – like, he’ll go for two weeks, then go on a golfing trip to Spain, then he’ll go back to Balmoral for a few weeks, and on and on. The reason why his travels are notable this year is because he’s carefully avoiding international travel, and because he doesn’t want to get caught off royal property. Nevermind that Balmoral is technically a “private” property – he clearly feels that David Boies would not be so bold as to send a process server to Scotland. Boies should absolutely do that!

Prince Charles was in Glasgow yesterday, he visited Kelvingrove Art Gallery ( it’s wonderful), the best bit however was the heckler shouting; “Charlie yet brother’s a paedo.” The people have spoken.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Oh man, I would’ve PAID to be in that crowd to see Prince Tampon’s reaction!

    • Fifee says:

Haha! Love my Glesga peeps, honest as ever and bold as ever. You’re right about Kelvingrove, as kids (11 & up) we would walk down the Kelvin walkway to Kelvinbridge and through the park to the museum and spend the afternoon kicking about inside, free of course. My favourites were the bees on the top floor and the sarcophagus, but the best was walking out of one of the art halls, turning a corner and seeing the Dali painting of Christ on the cross (can’t remember it’s proper name), that painting stunned me, it was and still is spectacular, No idea if it’s still there. Thanks for bringing back good memories!

    • Ewissa says:

Actually saw that video on Tiktok hahaha

  2. BayTampaBay says:

I never believed the Elizabeth & Porchy Herbert rumors. However, as time goes on and on, Andrew continues to look more and more like the current Earl of Carnarvon.

    • Leanne says:

Andrew looks just like him- would also explain why his mother is so protective of him.

      • SarahCS says:

I recently found out that my uncle is actually only my mothers half brother and it explains SO MUCH about my grandmothers protectiveness towards him and their whole (weird) relationship.

The more we learn about how the aristos live and their attitudes towards fidelity the more I buy that some version of this could be legit.

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Except that Pedo Andy has the Windsor beady/excessively closely -set eyes. But the color, the brows and lashes match.

    • Cate says:

I agree. I feel also like QEII is so wedded to “duty” and her role as monarch that she would not have risked having a kid who wasn’t Phillip’s. But….Andrew’s looks definitely do lend credence to the rumors!

    • Muisje says:

You just need to throw a look at Eugenie. The spitting image of a young Porchie. The jawline and the chin, and also around the eyes.

I generally just believe they’re all so inbred, everyone looks like everyone. But you may have a point.

    • Tigerlily says:

@BTB check out photos of Porchys daughter Lady Carolyn Warren. In the eyes/brow area she is Andy lookalike.

  3. Becks1 says:

Running back to mummy again, sigh.

    • Lorelei says:

@Becks, if he had any shame, he might have the good sense to be embarrassed that he’s a 61 year old man and all of the headlines about him are variations of “Andy runs home to Mummy!”

And is he operating under the assumption that anyone has a shred of sympathy for him because he’s going “stir crazy” in a literal CASTLE? And if he desires a change of scenery, he simply flits off to another one of his family’s literal PALACES?

And all of this coming on the heels of us peasants being locked down for more than a year, in much smaller spaces (to say the least — most of our homes could probably fit into Andy’s closet), many with young children, or in tiny apartments, and having to learn overnight how to homeschool our children?

Obviously we’ve always known that the royals are out of touch, but I feel like this is a whole new level of tone deafness.

The absolute audacity of this family…

  4. Killfanora says:

Uk newspapers are reporting he “bolted”. Ha, absolutely right.

  5. ModeratelyWealthy says:

My heart goes to Andy- the poor sausage is trapped and cannot go around the world hanging out with teenagers anymore.

    Must be hell. Poor sausage.

  6. Sofia says:

Mummy isn’t going to live forever Andrew. It may seem like it now and she may have 5, maybe even more, years left in her but she’s going to die eventually. He can keep running in the meantime but he won’t be able to hide forever.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Sadly, as much as Tampon hates Pedo, and wants him gone, he will only be sidelined with an allowance. Pedo knows *too* much about the inner machinations of that shady family, and knows where bodies are buried. He will NEVER be set adrift to sell his secrets.

      • Sofia says:

But at least with Charles on the throne, Andrew can legally be served papers. I think there’s a law saying no-one in the queen’s presence can be arrested or something which explains why he’s clinging to her. But Charles will not let Andrew be around him so much.

      • Mac says:

I don’t get why Andrew is afraid to go outside. Windsor has a ton of security and he has personal security. It’s not like someone can walk up and knock on his door.

      • Lady D says:

Rumour has it @Mac, that young ladies are known for doing just that. It is such a common occurrence RPO’s just let them in.

      • Lorelei says:

@Sofia, if that’s actually a law, that’s one of the most insane things I’ve ever heard. What exactly is the justification for this? If the Queen is keeping company with a criminal, there are consequences.

Why is this woman exempt from so many rules that apply to everyone in her country but her? I get that as HOS, she had certain privileges, and one of those might be that *she* couldn’t be publicly arrested. But why on earth should that extend to any hangers-on who she might be with?

I feel like every month, we learn about some law or regulation that she’s been flouting for decades. Diversity, environmental regulations, tax issues, the list goes on and on — and there always seems to be some loophole that she can and does exploit. And there never seems to be a single consequence. IIRC, even if the family has far fewer working royals, the amount of £ they receive will never go down. WTF? What is the logic for any of this?

The entitlement that this family displays constantly is just unreal.

    • lisanne says:

Lorelei: Is their entitlement so surprising? They are royalty, that is the very essence of entitlement. As an American I find it unfathomable that England still has a Queen, not to mention Princes, Princesses, Dukes, etc. And yet people complain about them without doing anything about it. Why not abolish the Crown, give each of them a decent stipend and a reasonable house, and send them on their way. It’s so odd because the UK is more progressive than the US in some ways — for example, has a much better health care system than our Byzantine mess. And yet, we gave young King George III the boot!

  7. (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

I read this: “…has seriously circumscribed vacay options these days…” as *CIRCUMSIZED* options… LOL.

If ONLY they’d get a Mohel (the person who does the Jewish ceremony of circumcision) and get him a liiiitle drunk before performing the ritual on Pedo lol

  8. Ainsley7 says:

It’s obviously not what he deserves, but it’s nice to know he’s miserable. Like, no matter how big any of the properties are, there is only so much to do. Especially when you are afraid to leave the house. Most of his friends have deserted him. So, it’s just the help and sometimes his family. Only the Queen, Fergie and his daughters are still in his corner. So, no one else wants to be near him. His idea of good company is sex traffickers, dictators, and arms dealers. So, he probably finds all of them pretty boring. So, it’s nice to know that even if he never gets what he really deserves, he’s absolutely miserable.

    • Eurydice says:

He can do what the rest of us have been doing – watch Netflix, do some knitting, try to make sourdough bread. Tackle Proust – that should keep him occupied.

    • Tessa says:

I don’t think there is anything “romantic” between Andrew and Fergie. I think they just both use each other–she gets housing and is back in the media.

  9. Bettyrose says:

Hey Andy! You ever experienced a New England autumn? So lovely. Really, it’s not too long a flight. Come on over.

    • Eurydice says:

Sure, he can enjoy the scenery in Bradford, at Ghislaine’s old hideout…while he’s waiting for trial.

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

Brings back memories when we lived in Upstate NY and regularly took the back roads into Vermont where the tourists didn’t go. Bliss.
      Thanks for the trip back
And yes Andy!!!! New England in the autumn is 🔥🔥🔥

  10. Athena says:

This whole Andrew cannot leave the UK is a false narrative. I’m sure he can get on a private jet and go to Qatar, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and various other countries and no one would know that he was there. He can pick any country with no extradition treaty with the US.

He’s probably not traveling because one of his family members would leak it to the press and not because he can’t travel anywhere.

    • Jaded says:

Exactly. If the public found out he was cavorting with some of his Saudi prince BFFs all hell would break loose. I’m sure Charles has made it abundantly clear that he is to stay put and not attract the least bit of attention.

  11. Emma says:

This is like a game of chess and Andrew is about to lose his Queen. I’m sure he’ll never go to jail but maybe a hefty settlement can be imposed.

    • bettyrose says:

Like Polanski has never gone to jail, but his movements are limited. Andrew will always have a warrant out and never be able to step foot in an extradition country. Maybe that’s not the worst thing ever but for a guy like him but any restrictions on jet setting probably sting.

  12. The Recluse says:

    Hahahahahaha! GOOD.

  13. Hannah says:

Does anyone else think he is screwed once his mom dies? I imagine she’s using any power she may have to protect him right now, and the only reason it’s working is because tptb think she’s going to die soon so they’re humouring her. Once she’s gone he’s getting thrown under a double decker bus so fast.

    • Tessa says:

I doubt Charles will do much. Maybe “retire” Andrew. He did not bother to help his son Harry and his family. One thing he should do is keep Andrew’s ex from interviews and being out in the media a lot.

  14. Tessa says:

I notice from various comments sessions that Andrew has “fans” who criticize the woman who was trafficked. Something very wrong…
