The Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev has an agent and wants fame and cash

Netflix is making notorious scammers famous, with the Shonda Rimes series about the fake heiress, Anna Delvey/Sorokin and the documentary about the man known as Simon Leviev, The Tinder Swindler. In news that surprises no one, both of these con artists are trying to cash in on their fame. Yesterday we talked about how Sorokin has profited from her crimes. While most of the lump sum payment she received from Netflix for her story has gone toward paying her victims and legal fees, she has kept some of it. TMZ is reporting that Leviev has retained an agent and is now trying to sell his story and break into Hollywood. Of course he is. Here’s some of their report with more at the source:

Sources close to Simon tell TMZ … he’s already signed with a talent manager, and wants to write a book, star on a dating show and host a dating podcast. Yeah, no shocker … the guy’s got big plans.

Simon’s new Hollywood manager is Gina Rodriguez, and we’re told they’ve already discussed a bunch of plans to parlay his newfound Netflix fame into profit and an entertainment career.

We’re told Simon’s idea for a potential dating show includes women competing for his love … and he’s interested in sharing dating dos and don’ts on a potential podcast.

TMZ is the perfect outlet to break this news. While the Son of Sam law prohibits criminals from profiting for their crimes, my preliminary reading of the Wiki page reveals that it’s a blanket term for these type of laws which are specific to the US and only enforceable in certain states. Leviev has not been convicted in the US and it’s unclear if any of his victims were American women. I hope that if Leviev starts getting media deals that his victims sue him in civil court for damages. The same goes for Sorokin.

Two of the victims in the Tinder Swindler documentary, Cecilie Fjellhøy and Pernilla Sjoholm, were on The Drew Barrymore show remotely last week. You can see their segment here. Cecilie said that Simon needs help and that she feels sorry for him. I appreciated how she framed that and think she did it to get under his skin! She said “I really feel that he needs help, and I feel sorry for him. A very empty life he has.” She added that Simon has a whole team of people behind him helping him commit these crimes. When Drew insensitively asked Cecilie and Pernilla if they’re easy targets and what made them susceptible to Simon, Pernilla said that they’re not and that they’re just “loving and caring humans.” Cecile and Pernilla have now raised over £125,000 pounds on GoFundMe.

Simon Leviev has returned to Instagram. In his last post, image below, he wrote “The past few days was not easy for me. Thank you all for your love and support. I will keep fighting as I always did.” He needs to get sued into the ground!

Also he is not that cute.

I wonder if the guy Lev, I think, can sue Simon for impersonating or claiming to be his son and claiming to be affiliated with his company? At the very least he ought to issue a cease and desist. But not surprised at all that this guy is cashing in. Remember “Hot felon”? Sheesh!

  2. Hannah says:

Words completely and utterly fail me at this point 🤐 well, except for — you’re still and will always be a pos

  3. Mama says:

I swear if a network of any kind gives this man a show… and I see it written about, promoted, etc… I will lose it. This man is an abuser and thief. Fuck that talent manager who signed him… He needs to be the one stupid man who gets canceled 100% forever and ever.

    • Denise says:

we should boycott and put on blast any agency or company that takes him on or buys rights to his story

    • shanaynay says:

I”m with ya. Any talent manager that signs is a sleazebag. I will boycott any network that allows this POS to appear on any of their shows. This POS needs to be locked behind bars permanently.

  4. Mama says:

    https://twitter.com/mzginarodriguez

Is this the woman who signed him? If you’re on Twitter… tweet her. Let’s blow her up.

  5. Anne says:

HOW is this allowed to happen?! Guy has stolen £100,000s from women who are still in debt, and he’s got a talent agent?! I know I’m in a bad mood but BURN IT ALL DOWN.

    • MelOn says:

Technically he did not steal from them. They gave it to him, he didn’t threaten them to get it, that’s why he wasn’t charged. There’s a saying, never give money unless you’re okay with not getting it back. He knows what to say, as to not get charged, just like Anna Delvy in Inventing Anna.

      • Mama says:

As much as I hate it… I agree. They did give willingly, unfortunately. However, he should still not get rights or a show or anything else.

  6. Wiglet Watcher says:

No. He’s not cute or attractive. But the assumption of wealth can take care of that.

  7. milliemollie says:

What the actual f*ck?! Hollywood is really soulless.

  8. ElleV says:

con men be conning and i hope no one gives him a platform however big his “dreams” may be

  9. TIFFANY says:

Gina Rodriguez needs to lose every client she current has for agreeing to represent this con artist.

    • shanaynay says:

Sounds like she might be a con artist as well. Any of her clients that have an ounce of integrity should jump ship now.

  10. Ainsley says:

His IG actually says “homeless king” and “my enemies are after me, send money to save me” with a smiley emoji after it. He calls himself an actor as well. Wtf. This guy is insane.

  11. HeyKay says:

I am burnt out on real life crime stories being turned into entertainment.

Isn’t there some law that criminals can’t profit from the crimes they committed by writing a book or movie?

I’d pay good money to watch an original idea or better yet a good comedy in a new movie.

  12. Bettyrose says:

He wants a show where women compete for his love? Yet another chance to use this quote: “live life with with the unearned confidence of a mediocre white man.”

  13. Denise says:

we can only blame our laws and our system that this despicable person is not in jail but using the suffering of others to cash in on his notoriety

  14. E says:

Couldn’t the Leviev family sue him for pretending to be a part of their family business?

    • bruh says:

I feel like he picked the wrong family to pretend to belong to. Russian mafia is a real thing, so is Israeli. Don’t f**k with big names. The more noticeable he becomes, the more chance of something happening to him. Just my 2 cents. But I would be warry.
He is not bad looking but his voice definitely grates. His accent is as unsexy as it can possibly be. I’d take a German accent like Gunther from Sing2 (don’t judge, I have kids :D) any time over Shimon’s poor English and unattractive voice (Yes, I’m a voice and accent snob..and english is not my mother tongue)

      • AnneL says:

It’s not just Israeli mafia, either. Israelis in general don’t take s**t from people. You mess with them, they’ll deal with you.

  15. Marietta2381 says:

So, Gina Rodriguez works for BMB Talent. She represents the likes of Honey – boo-boo or whatever her name is, Stormy Daniels, & Lamar Odom. This chick only sees $ with this douche. I have her phone number too! She’s listed as an actress and producer, not even a Talent Agent. LOL…

  16. It Really Is You, Not Me says:

The epilogue to that show killed me because the women are still paying off their debts and he served five months in prison, is living his fake billionaire lifestyle, and was never actually brought to trial for any of the crimes against Cecelie or Pernilla. He’s just awful, but I don’t doubt that he’ll get a deal. someone will buy the rights to his story because Hollywood loves a good story and they won’t be able to help themselves. Agree that the victims best recourse is to sue him in civil court to get any proceeds from him selling his story.

    • AppleCart says:

Yes while Netflix paid Anna Sorokin $320,000 for the rights to her story. She had to hand it over in restitution. And is currently waiting to be deported back to Germany.

I don’t take anything Simon does as fact. He lives on smoke and mirrors. He probably is hoping this leads to some money. But I doubt it will he isn’t the guy you love to hate. You just hate him. He is probably walking past Bentleys and pretending they are his.

I remember when Casey Anthony was found not guilty people were screaming she was going to be a millionaire selling her story. And no one paid her a dime for anything. Being infamous does not always lead to big bank accounts.

  17. Oria says:

I hate how the world is tailored for these narcissists and sociopaths.
This type of people always win when it comes to success, because they are ruthless and have no empathy for others.
Sure, they may lead empty, shallow lives, but they’re continuing the circle of what sort of person you have to be to be successfull.

There’s nothing new that abusers and narcissists have fame and wealth. If nothing else, this should make people really take a second look at the people in these industries, because it’s filled with them.

If someone’s out here claiming they want to “take over the world” and be famous or whatever, chances are they’re in some degrees narcissistic. It’s just facts.

The beloved band Måneskin who is on the rise in the US and have made it big in Europe is one example. People see them as young adults having fun and being lucky.
I see narcissistic people who fight for fame. They’re known to be bullies in Italy. And people laugh and shrug it off.
I also know who represents them, and oh man… You can’t be a sensitive soul to deal with those kinds of people.

I’m hoping the future will consist of people having actual skills, emotional intelligence and a good head on their shoulders to be our new idols and celebrities, but the world seems to be getting colder.

  18. Willow says:

So anything with his name on it, don’t buy or watch, because he’ll be getting the money. Thanks for the heads-up Kaiser!

  19. Ashley says:

I will not buy or watch anything connected to this guy. After MeToo I’ve come to the realization that nothing will change for women and we can only depend on ourselves. If all women boycott this, and male allies, he won’t make it far.

Anna Delvey was one thing. But I don’t know if anyone who saw the Tinder Swindler who wasn’t shocked or appalled. Sure there were jokes to be made about the idiotic things he said to these women, but I didn’t see anyone cheering for him.

The only people who root for this guy are Incels like him, that get off on torturing women. Small men will look at him and call him a hero.
