Kanye West: Kim Kardashian can’t prove I wrote the harassing Instagram posts

It’s remarkable to see this happening in real time, but it seems more and more like the men’s rights advocates of TMZ are growing tired of Kanye West. I have no doubt that TMZ’s Harvey Levin knows Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian, and that the Kardashians are good business for TMZ on their own, apart from Kanye. But what’s interesting about TMZ’s coverage of Kim and Kanye’s divorce specifically is that TMZ (remember, Levin is a lawyer) is calling out Kanye for his ridiculous shenanigans in court. Usually, TMZ is like “well, the guy probably has a point, bitches, amirite?” But not with this divorce. Kanye is even annoying the crap out of Harvey Levin. Mark it down. So what’s so annoying for TMZ? Kanye’s latest filing, where he claims Kim can’t prove that Kanye has been going bonkers on social media for two months, and that Kim can’t have a bifurcated divorce, for reasons!

Kanye West has just made it clear … he’s not gonna end his marriage without a fight, but the fight he’s waging is, well, bizarre. Kanye just filed legal docs … trying to make his social media posts attacking Kim, Pete and others inadmissible in next week’s hearing. As we reported, a judge will decide next week whether to restore Kim’s single status.

Kanye’s argument — How does Kim really know he wrote those posts? His lawyer is arguing these social media posts are not only hearsay … they’re double hearsay! Ye’s lawyer says, “Kim claims she read something online allegedly by Kanye and characterizes the posts in her declaration as misinformation … Kim needed to offer the social media posts into evidence, and show that the posts were written by Kanye.”

The docs never say Kanye didn’t write the posts … just that Kim hasn’t jumped through all the hoops.

But, that’s not all … Kanye’s lawyer now says the prenup can’t be viewed as valid, at least not now. Ye’s attorney says there’s a presumption in California that prenups signed after 2001 are invalid, and the only way they can be validated is either during a trial or if both parties agree. So, it seems Kanye is saying he hasn’t agreed it’s valid, so it can’t be enforced until there’s a full-blown trial, and that means a big delay.

What Kanye is doing is throwing up roadblocks to stop Kim from becoming single. He previously filed docs saying he would agree to it, but one of the conditions is that all assets be frozen for now. The thing is … they have a prenup that makes all their property separate and Kim needs that money to run her businesses.

It’s highly unlikely the judge will buy what Ye’s lawyer is selling … restoring single status is a routine procedure, and the very point is to separate division of assets from marital status. Translation … he’s gonna try and make getting a divorce as hard as possible.

Again, when even TMZ is calling bullsh-t, you know you’re pretty f–ked over if you’re a dude. Kanye’s argument about the social media stuff is completely bizarre, and it’s almost as if he believes that if he deleted all of the worst stuff, then maybe Kim can’t prove it actually existed? My dude, everyone saw the posts. They were widely copied and reported on. I’m positive that Kim’s lawyers have monitored and copied every single thing that Kanye has posted for months. As for the rest of it… he’s just throwing sh-t at the wall, seeing what sticks and trying to slow-walk this in any way he can.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Kanye was out with his “new girlfriend” Chaney Jones. She is the so-called “Kim Kardashain look-alike” who was hanging around Ye towards the end of his thing with Julia Fox. All I’ll say is that Chaney really does look a lot like Kim. She also dresses a lot like Kim.

Where’s the “Leave Britney alone” guy these days? I really want him to scream “Leave Kim alone!” at Kanye.

  2. Noki says:

Lol Kanye literally took a picture with a sign stating that he has not been hacked and all the posts he is making are his own doing…or did he forget?

    • Colby says:

Oh no he remembers – but narcissists literally just deny reality (see: Trump and inauguration crowds) until you get tired of fighting them.

  3. OliviaJoy says:

In a post he made on IG on 2/13 he was literally standing there holding a yellow notepad that said “my account hasn’t been hacked” with the date on it. He’s an idiot.

  4. ME says:

Same old sh*t from Kanye. Genius huh? Sure about that? I’d rather see a post on Kim’s new private Jet. She had it made from scratch and it cost over $100 million dollars. Insane how some people get to live, but damn it’s a nice plane. Horrible for the environment but Kardashians don’t care about that.

And they can’t prove it’s him singing his “kick Pete Davidson’s ass” lyrics, right? (though it pains me to call the whiney drivel he nasal-speaks “lyrics,” but still)

He’s fully delusional. And I still wholeheartedly believe that he’s a danger to Kim and their kids. A narcissist with violent tendencies who’s determined to prove what and who “belongs” to him is a powder keg waiting to go off.

  7. Laura says:

If Kanye is so desperate to remain married to Kim, why is he doing pap walks with his new girlfriend?

    This is a rhetorical question.

    • ME says:

There’s a lyric in one of his songs that says something like “there’s a million of you and only one of me”. I think he’s trying to show that Kim can be easily replaced with any girl.

  8. LoryD75 says:

If it’s a verified account, then isn’t he is legally responsible for what is posted on his page?

    • FC says:

I always thought Trump would go with the “I didn’t tweet that, the intern did” defense too, but maybe you’re right — verified means you assume legal responsibility.

  9. GillySirl says:

Nice call on TMZ – they’re awful and if they aren’t supporting a guy, you definitely know it’s bad. I used to think they were a fun gossip site but the last 8 years have shown their real purpose. And it’s not to be truthful or support women.

  10. Gruey says:

She doesn’t have to prove it. She’s not prosecuting him for terroristic threats, and btw most judges get annoyed by this kind of coyness around texts/social media and will admit them 90% of the time. My understanding is that her filing for bifurcation (meaning divorce now, haggle over custody/assets later) is long and substantial. The judge is going to look at a lot of stuff and not just any one text/insta/rant. There is also some shit in his legal response (like demanding that her hypothetical future spouse waive all spousal privileges) that is just bizarre and offensive. I would be shocked if she’s not granted the divorce.

    • superashes says:

She would, if she wants to use it as evidence in her case, need to establish the evidence is authentic and relevant, and in that respect, courts do exclude hearsay evidence unless there is an exception. That being said, hearsay is limited testimony from a witness reciting an out of court statement being offered to prove the truth of the matter asserted (think about a car accident, and someone on the stand testifying that they heard one of driver’s say “quick, get these open liquor bottles out of the backseat).

In this case, Kim isn’t offering the evidence to prove that “Skete” needs his ass beat, or the truth of any other statement uttered by Kanye. She is pointing to the statements themselves as evidence of Kanye’s erratic state of mind, which is why hearsay is not an applicable basis to exclude the evidence. Moreover, even if the Court did approach it in the context of hearsay evidence, admissions by a party opponent (i.e. your adversary in a divorce proceeding, for example) are not considered hearsay and are admissible.

I truly hope he never goes after Kim in a more threatening way. All his actions scream danger to me regarding Kim.

    • Annaloo. says:

I don’t think Kanye has the guts to ever try that. This man is all big mouth, unhinged from brain with a lot of bucks. If he even tried to physically hurt her, you can bet his genius arse would be jailed faster than a Kardashian can say “money”

I don’t like him at all, but he is the living definition of bloviating

Also, his ugly clothing lines have all sucked from day one

  12. Ally says:

I really can not imagine this going well for him. My ex made some threatening/disparaging social media posts about me during our split and the judge was NOT amused. He walked himself right into a psychological evaluation and supervised visitations. And I didn’t have Laura Wasser as my attorney. I’ll be thinking of Kim tomorrow and sending her good vibes. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

  13. JanetDR says:

That weirdly over the top expression he has in the DM tweet kind of reminds me me of Mutton McButtons. 😂
