Prince Andrew ‘is broken’ so the Queen will still let him ‘dress up’ in a naval uniform

It’s only been two weeks since Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre reached their private financial settlement. And what a fortnight it’s been, what with keenery from the Cambridges, three senior royals getting Covid and an appearance from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Image Awards. It honestly does feel like some people are moving on. It would absolutely not surprise me if Prince Andrew genuinely believes – as he has believed for years now – that he will eventually be able to relaunch himself as a public figure at some point. At the moment, though, he’s still feeling wretched. He’s so down in the dumps, his mummy is letting him keep one of his military positions as a special good-boy gift to make him feel better.

Prince Andrew is “broken” following his legal settlement with his sex accuser, sources claim. The Duke of York is said to be in such low spirits he has been allowed to keep the title of Vice Admiral to cheer him up. Andrew was stripped of his other titles amid the furore over allegations that he had sex with a trafficked teenager in London – which he strenuously denies. The rank of Vice Admiral, equivalent to an Army Lieutenant General, is now his only armed forces honorary title.

A source who served with him during the Falklands War said: “He is down, he is broken. If he wants to dress up once in a while in a naval uniform, then let him.”

Our source added of Andrew: “He was actually not a bad person when I knew him. He had a few entitlement issues but that is to be expected. His reputation is in tatters, his public life is over. He is a walking embarrassment. Frankly, my view is let him keep the rank of Vice Admiral. He served in the Royal Navy in the Falklands War and this was bestowed upon him by the Queen. It’s effectively the same as an honorary degree. He hasn’t been convicted of anything. I have no idea whether he is guilty or innocent, so I think he has paid quite a heavy price.”

It is understood the Queen allowed him to remain a Vice Admiral.

[From The Daily Mirror]

Just so we’re clear, Prince Harry was stripped of ALL of his honorary military titles one year after the Sussexit. There were no qualms about it in Harry’s case, no source crying about how Harry was “paying a heavy price” for the crime of marrying a beautiful Black American woman. In Andrew’s case, there are apparently people who genuinely believe that Andrew carrying too much of a burden because… mummy took away all of his other honorary medals and patronages, just because he raped a trafficked teenager. Unfair, they say! Anyway, this is completely pathetic. He’s a 62 year old degenerate who still lives a cosseted, privileged life in his giant mansion, and he still gets his mummy to clean up all of his messes and pay off his victims. Disgusting.

So what is it again that PH was found guilty of to deserve being stripped of all honorary titles? I hope they do try to ease PA back in as “working” royal. It would be appropriate for that family and make the disconnect even more obvious.

  2. JessD says:

Dress up and play with his toy soldiers like he did as a child. I’m sure his mountain of teddies could be useful here as well.

    • GuestWho says:

I have this picture of him in my head wandering around his mansion in his feetie jammies, clutching his best teddy bear with his admirals hat on muttering “not fair, not fair” and occasionally screaming at servants.

  3. Cessily says:

These people are sick.. the entire isle is a cesspool. I hope I live to see the day the subjects have had enough and decide the time has come to make changes. There is nothing to celebrate about any of these people.

This is why I don’t believe these people will ever abolish their monarchy. Listen to their mindset: He hasn’t been convicted of anything. So, from his privileged perch, he just decided to change his tune, sign an agreement, and give Virginia all that money just for kicks? The “source” also said that Andrew always had entitlement issues, but that was only to be expected. So, bygones! And best of all, the source said that Andrew has lost everything (except for his home(s), money, paid security, and privilege) – so let his keep this military honor and have the right to wear his naval uniform. So, after the public has seen and read enough evidence to prove that Andrew engaged in wrongdoing, these people after a few weeks feel that Andrew has suffered enough and should be given a cookie or a prize. Naw, they’ll keep on funding that family with such a mindset.

Also, the “journalist” who wrote this story said that Andrew was stripped of his titles amid the “furor” that he’d had sex with a trafficked teenager. Huh? First, there was no “furor” in England when the allegations were made or the case was filed, they coddled Andrew and hid that story for a long time. The queen went horseback riding with Andrew and he publicly accompanied her to church – where was the furor? There were no widespread calls in the BM for Andrew to be “stripped” of anything, in fact, they covered for him by bashing others. Andrew was only “stripped” (Ugh!) in 2022 AFTER the royal family finally saw the writing on the wall when Andrew lost a recent motion to dismiss some part of Virginia’s case (I forget which part). Anyway, the RF could see the case was headed to court and didn’t want anything messing up their “Jubbly” year. To them, the rape case was merely a PR problem, not a criminal or moral issue.

The entire isle is a cesspool? I live in the beautiful city of Edinburgh in the country of Scotland. It isn’t a cesspool. To suggest any state is one is really quite offensive and comes quite close to TFG’s shi*thole countries. There are many things that need changing and as a lifelong republican (of the anti- monarchy variety) I want to be a citizen not a subject. But cesspool? No.

  4. Emma says:

    Shameless, utterly shameless.

  5. MsIam says:

Pathetic. And once again, the narcissist is always the victim. I wonder if Fergie is the “source”? Unless it’s Andrew himself.

  6. Angel says:

But wait I though she had no power and she wasn’t the one in charge ? All of this just tells me that if she wanted the abuse and the bulling against Meghan to stop, it would have stopped. And if she wanted Harry to keep his military titles. He would kept them. All of this just tells me she never tried anything to help Harry and Meghan.

    • Cessily says:

Exactly, she may be old but she is far from an innocent or powerless.

    • Emma says:

I personally think the queen is holding on to power for dear life and absolutely dead set on protecting Andrew, buuut it’s also the whole network of “courtiers” around her and it’s always been, not to mention Charles, and even William, and all their different “courtiers,” who are in her ear.

  7. Dee says:

It’s not just shamelessness. These people are sociopathic. They literally think other people’s lives and stories are just backdrops to their “magnificence”. They don’t have souls. These are no better than beasts of the field. I have more respect for drug pushers than this pack of degenerate creatures. The house of windsor must come down.

  8. Eurydice says:

OMG, on the one hand disgusting – on the other, I’m imagining him wandering the grounds of Windsor at night in his Horatio Nelson hat and ceremonial pajamas, demanding that the squirrels should bow to him – “I’m a Prince, dammit! And a Duke, and, and, and an Admiral!!

    • GillySirl says:

hahaha! After all “He was actually not a bad person when I knew him. He had a few entitlement issues but that is to be expected.”

  9. Becks1 says:

Let him dress up once in a while and play vice admiral? that just seems like a horrible take.

prince harry lost all his honorary military titles because he was no longer a working royal (supposedly that was the reason.) Andrew is no longer a working royal, ergo he should also lose ALL honorary military titles.

    • Lady Digby says:

And also lost his RPO,security !!

      • BothSidesNow says:

Yes!!! The hypocrisy is disgusting!!! TQ knows exactly what she is doing and doesn’t care how it looks!!

Good luck trying to spin this as a positive move, because that dog isn’t going to work, ever!

  10. Amy Bee says:

It’s like the Daily Mirror and its “sources” have forgotten that Andrew agreed to pay a huge settlement to a woman who accused him sexual assault and participating in sex trafficking. There’s absolutely no outrage about this.

  11. Merricat says:

I doubt the Royal Navy is thrilled by this.

  12. North of Boston says:

I’ve got no tears for the fragility of privileged grown men.

That whole Institution, Firm, RF is a suck on humanity. Rotting from its core and from the head down.

  13. Mslove says:

Every time the media brings up poor beleaguered Andrew and his heartbroken mummy, I can’t help but think of the crimes and cover ups these entitled people do to further their selfish lifestyle. The lives they have destroyed. We know what they did to Harry and why. And we won’t forget.

  14. Alexandria says:

Look British people (and Commonwealth countries with her as HOS), the Queen is allegedly more concerned about her pos rapist son mental health than the biracial family member. That’s a nice image. Whoever is alleging this is also alleging that she’s ok with Meghan offing herself cos nobody knows wtf she did to help Meghan. Gold standard PR there.

  15. Harper says:

Harry had no allies in that family. William most likely punches the wall, threatens to abdicate, and forces his weenie of a father and exasperated granny to do what he wants. I truly believe William going ballistic is why Harry was stripped of everything. His anger is rooted in Harry breaking rank and not staying as stuck for the rest of his life as Will is. Charles and Betty are so afraid of Will leaving and tanking the monarchy all together. Because see how easy it is to leave Andrew with a little honorary title? It’s because the rage monster never had Andrew under his control anyway.

  16. NotSoSocialB says:

While reading this article, I found myself thinking of his daughters, both new(ish) mothers. What, (especially I suppose, if anything) Beatrice thinks about her father, a man who traffics and rapes teen girls, in light of being a mother to a daughter… that some dude, somewhere could do that to her future 17 year old daughter. It must be quite an internal struggle for her.

  17. Debbie says:

Andrew’s agreement with Virginia was only signed around Feb. 15, 2022, that’s less than 2 weeks ago! How can anyone’s opinion of Andrew be that he’s suffered enough and should be rewarded by keeping a military honor? These people (the BM, RF, and their supporters) are frightening in their depravity.

  18. MerlinsMom1018 says:

    Well. She does. FOR NOW.
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that things may change when Charles parks his keester on the throne.
Andrew is beyond extremely lucky his “uniform” ain’t prison stripes. which is really all he should be wearing

  19. jferber says:

What? Really? I’m just flabbergasted. So his widdle feelings are hurt so he can dress up in an unearned uniform so Mummy can see his happy face again? The infantilization of a 61 year old rapist is beyond gob smacking. It is seriously deranged and delusional.

  20. SallyPiper says:

British people why are you guys so docile when it comes to these horrific criminal colonizers?
You say Putin is bad (he’s vile) so are these people and their whole family Hage been benefiting from the poor and destitute both in UK and all the countries this family has invaded.

  21. Kfree says:

These people don’t know it but the time of monarchy is over. A monarch breeds corruption and entitlement.
