Rachel Zegler in Dior at the Grammys: lovely or too slouchy?

Rachel Zegler performed last night as part of the In Memoriam segment featuring Sondheim songs. I liked her performance gown, a red Zuhair Murad ball gown, a little better. The light brown tulle Dior she wore on the red carpet had these cool braided ropes on the back but the front looked like it was falling down and needed to be better adjusted. Rachel was there with her boyfriend and West Side Story costar, Josh Andrés Rivera.

Tinashe was in a pink PVC GCDS gown with a fitted bodice, a ruffle at the hem a giant bow on the back. This is silly but she looks so cute and happy I can’t complain about the dress.

Kelsea Ballerini wore a black Raisa Vanessa column gown with a straight bodice, a double white bow with sequins at the waist and a high leg slit. She had to hold her waist when she was walking because the slit was so precarious. This is a little too traditional for the Grammys.

Kelsea presented with Anthony Mackie. Where has he been?! We need to see him at more things.

Brandi Carlile performed last night and she was nominated for five Grammys but unfortunately didn’t take home one. She has been nominated 18 times and has six Grammys from previous years. She was in a hand cut crystal Hugo Boss jacket and pants modeled after 70s looks by Bowie and Elton John. She said the jacket was 40 pounds and that she was “finally morphing into Elton John.” This is fabulous.

Mickey Guyton was sequin tassel ombre gown by Ashish. You can see the craftsmanship that went into it and she was twirling those tassels. Mickey was nominated in three categories last night but didn’t win. She has four nominations and hasn’t won yet, but I’m sure that will change.

Maren Morris was in a deep v-neck snake print Dolce & Gabbana that showed her bra underneath. This is a little fug but Kaiser might like it as she loves animal prints. I’m not fond of her bangs like that. Maren was up for two awards last night. She has 13 nominations and one Grammy for Best Country Solo for 2016’s My Church. Maren and her husband, Ryan Hurd, were nominated for their duet Chasing After You and they took their loss in stride. They’re a cute couple!

Was Rachel added last minute ? I dont see how Disney would have an issue with the Oscars and not the Grammys!?

    I want Brandi’s jacket.

I don’t like the “my dress is falling off” look at all.
Mickey’s is perfect for the Grammys. Fancy but fun.

  4. Eloisa says:

She looks more like the stepmother than snowhite in the traditional take of the fairytale by Grimm’s brothers.

Looks like she still has a poster of Lea Michell in her room, totally her vibe.

Did you know she and Ariana Debose unfollowed from each other’s social accounts few days ago? I want to know that tea, what happened between both. I am Team Debose of course.

      • Fig says:

I was just thinking she has major Lea Michele vibes! I also wonder what went down between her and Ariana. I am also Team DeBose

Rachel’s dress is an awful color. Old pantyhose.

I didn’t catch much of the Grammy’s, but I saw Brandi Carlile’s performance. I’ve actually never heard her before, she was fantastic! That jacket is incredible.

I really love Rachel Zegler’s dress. It’s not lavender?
