Jennifer Aniston & Jon Hamm are filming ‘The Morning Show’ in NYC this week

Here are some photos of Jennifer Aniston in NYC this week. She was in character, filming The Morning Show’s third season. I think they had to delay production on TMS for a few months because of Aniston, because she was working on an Adam Sandler film. Anyway, I don’t watch TMS so I have no idea what these photos are supposed to indicate for the storyline, but I do know that Jon Hamm has joined the cast for this season, and that Hamm was also at this location shoot, and he got into the Porsche with Aniston.

For some reason, I felt like Aniston and Hamm had already worked together on something but that’s not the case. They’re in the same Hollywood generation – he’s 51, she’s 53 – although Aniston obviously found professional success much earlier than Hamm. I get the feeling that they’ve known each other for years though – they have so many friends in common, they’ve been seen chatting with each other at awards shows. I feel like it’s inevitable that the tabloids will try to make Hamm and Aniston into a thing (Hammiston!!!) but for what it’s worth, Hamm is dating 34-year-old Anna Osceola. Hamm describes himself as very much in love with her and ready to marry her. So…that should be interesting when it comes time for TMS promotion.

Also: after years of thinking that Aniston’s fillers and Botox were pretty subtle, I now think she’s overdoing it a bit.

I agree that the fillers are too much but she does look good. Her body is still killing it.

Jennifer Anniston is not a good actress and TMS is also very, very bad. That is all.

I don’t think she’s a great actress but she is good within her limited range. In a way, she’s playing a character a lot like herself on TMS. A “charming narcissist”, as someone on the show put it. I think it’s a pretty good show but I can see how some people would think otherwise.

      • Kirsten says:

I think part of what kept me from liking it is that neither JA or Reese Witherspoon are anywhere near the quality of actor that Billy Crudup and Steve Carrell are, and that difference was just too distracting.

I agree she is a horrible actress.

Why is her face so orange?! it really stands out when she has her hand next to her face.

I started the Morning Show and I just couldn’t get into it, even though I’m a big JA fan, and I’m a so-so Reese fan. The first few episodes just seemed so predictable with the ingenue and the established but aging media personality. Something about it just felt flat for me.

LOL that you are saying that about her fillers though, bc I thought that a few years ago and now I think she’s starting to back off a bit, but I think its going to take a while for her face to look…well, like Jen.

I enjoyed the first season, not so much the second..i hope they can redeem themselves.

Agreed. I really loved the first season, and JA deserved all the accolades & awards she received (the entire cast, really, was phenomenal), but season 2 left me a little cold. I had to force myself to keep watching in hopes that it would get better. I mean it had its moments, but overall a pretty disappointing season. I’ll check out season 3, though, also in hopes that it redeems itself.

The first season got better as it went along. I mostly tuned in for Billy Crudup who was the best part of the show.

The second season was awful. And JA face work is now affecting her voice. She sounds totally different and like she’s slurring her words.

You only think she’s only overdoing it NOW?!!! Did you not see Murder Mystery a few years back? (If so – lucky you! Terrible!). Her face was SO distracting!

In tangential Jon Hamm related news, I’m so nerdily charmed by his cameo in the latest Progressive commercials with Flo as a forgettable struggling actor she went out on a date with once because I was such a Mad Men stan and totally remember her as the frumpy switchboard operator from season 1 before she hit it big as Flo, so the whole commercial just tickles me in a meta joke way.

Going against the grain here, but I like it TMS. As a regular Today Show viewer, I always find myself wondering how true to form it is….that is distracting.

I’ve heard really good things about the show. I think Hamm is an interesting addition and the current cast looks good.

I always thought her face work was subtle until one Emmy’s where she looked like she was wearing a mask. These are beautiful women who don’t think they can age gracefully. I wish they would just embrace it and show their actual face. Aren’t they the trend-setters? Go gray! Show wrinkles and laugh lines. Cate Blanchett looks amazing to me and yet still her age-ish. Her work is subtle, makes her look fresh and alert, not like she’s putting on a teenager’s face over her own.

  9. SarahCS says:

I can’t get past her lips and I feel terrible about that. She’s a whole lot more than her appearance but when I look at these pictures that’s all I can see.

  10. Aurora says:

She looks as if she’s wearing prosthetics and she also has the bat stare too much botox gives (re: Nicole Kidman).
I guess her facialist or however called pumps up the hose when she’s filming or doing active promo. She’s looked consistently natural on IG… Unless given that people in their 20s are already smoothing themselves to erasing rubber levels, the ‘aging’ filter has become a must.
