Lili Reinhart: ‘I’m such a big-time Virgo… I’m very critical, and I like to be the leader’

Lili Reinhart has been on the come-up for so long, I think she’s pretty much an established celebrity now, right? People know her from Riverdale – which will end next year – and from her side-gigs and magazine covers and interviews. She’s known for being pretty honest about her body dysmorphia and her struggles with body image and staying healthy. She also got a lot of attention this year for criticizing Kim Kardashian’s bad messaging around Kim’s weight loss for the Met Gala. In addition to that, Lili should also be known as one of Hollywood’s Virgo Queens! She’s such a Virgo! Lili chatted recently with W Magazine about Virgo-ness, body image and whether she’ll ever be invited back to the Met Gala.

On ‘Riverdale’: “I was 19 when I was cast as Betty. I’ve spent practically my entire adult life playing her. It was quite an education: I was in a famous relationship [with costar Cole Sprouse], and Riverdale was my introduction to fame. What a trip that is.”

Talking to W Mag in September: “And tomorrow is my birthday! September 13. I’ll be 26. I’m such a big-time Virgo: I’m a perfectionist, I’m very critical, and I like to be the leader.”

The final season of ‘Riverdale’: “It was—and is—the biggest chapter of my life. There will be lots of tears and lots of laughs on the final day. I have this forever time capsule of my 20s. I can imagine my future children asking about my life, and I’ll just put them in front of whatever screening service will still be showing Riverdale reruns.”

On the Met Gala: “That was fun. But after going again this year, I don’t think I’ll be invited back. I said a certain something about a certain person in a certain dress.”

Criticizing Kim Kardashian, talking about mental health online: “I have always wanted to stand for something. And while I don’t like it if one comment by me turns into 17 articles in People magazine, I never overthink what I post. It has to be a true representation of how I feel. And I would say that whether I had 100 followers or 100 million.”

She also has a production deal with Amazon. “I want to keep pivoting from one genre to another. After doing a romance, I want to go in the opposite direction. I will never play the same characters twice. I would like to play a villain. I have the motivation: I recently had to leave my dog, Milo, alone in a hotel room, and I thought, If someone steals my dog, I’ll go John Wick on their asses! That would turn me into a villain so fast. Maybe that’s next for me: playing an evil woman out for revenge. I have my origin story: Don’t mess with my dog.”

“I’m a perfectionist, I’m very critical, and I like to be the leader…” Eh! Speaking as a Virgo, Virgos are very critical (especially self-critical) and it’s not so much that we need everything to be perfect, it’s that we need things to be organized and “perfect” in a way which suits us. And we’re not so much natural leaders as we are natural loners, perfectly content to go off by ourselves and do our own thing. You know who ends up in leadership positions? Leos. Because they live their lives like everything is a popularity contest! Anyway, I hope she lands on her feet post-Riverdale. Considering she already has a deal with Amazon Prime, I bet she will.

Kaiser be gentle to us Leos – there is truth to it but we don’t like to hear it 🙂
My sister is a virgo and I can say, Kaiser you are spot on about virgos. She is very much the perfectionist and very critical – but will not and has no need to be a leader. She actually shys away from the role.
As far as Lili, not sure who she is but she comes off as trying too hard. My eyes rolled into the back of head so many times as I read this that I resembled a slot machine.

I have been around virgos my whole life and I have never come across a virgo who is not criticizing or judging other people. Female virgo especially, as the men tend to criticize other things.

Out of all the zodiac they are the most critical and judgey, though they never have the awareness to see it themselves. It’s all in the name of “wanting the best for others”, but they seem to miss out the part where people maybe didn’t ask for their opinion, or that they might be good at details and analyzing, but they are terrible at letting other people’s perspectives and needs be something other than their own, so they therefore critic, judge and control from a standpoint of their own inner anxiety, perspective and experience.

And the need for them to control is also very exhausting. They can never just let people be themselves and figure things out on their own.
Leo’s might be attention seekers, and end up in leadership positions, but virgos need the feeling of being in control of everything and everyone, so behind every Leo is a judgey virgo trying to be a puppet master.

They mean well, virgos have heart. They will take care of you like no other if they are evolved enough, but my God, they are so annoying, haha!

I love Virgos. My best friend is a Virgo, very organized, intelligent and the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet. All my closest friends are Virgos and Geminis. Then again, I’m a Capricorn. I can even handle Leos and Aries. LOL.

  4. A Fan says:

Virgos energy is not one of leadership. They are perfectly 🙂 content to work tirelessly in the background without interference.

[*The leaders of the zodiac are often cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.*]

Leader?????? Did she mean loner? The last thing my Virgo brain wants to do is lead anything. That involves people. I want to be alone. I agree with you Kaiser on your Virgo assessment.
