Pax Jolie-Pitt, 19, is an artist now & his first exhibition is in Tel Aviv

Pax Jolie-Pitt mostly shuns the spotlight, but every so often, he will walk a red carpet with his mom and some of his siblings. I remember when he was younger, we heard that he liked cooking and baking, and that maybe he would end up having a culinary career. We also know that Angelina Jolie has employed him on some of her productions, and he prefers working behind the scenes. Now it looks like Pax is trying out another career: mixed media artist.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 19-year-old son Pax Jolie-Pitt is getting in on the art game, Page Six has exclusively learned. But don’t alert New York Magazine just yet — we hear he isn’t another “nepo baby” relying on his famous family name.

A source tells us the young artist is secretly working under the pseudonym, “Embtto.”

We’re told the pieces use a “digital and mixed media process.” The works have been described to us as “abstract,” and we are assured they are not NFTs. We’re told this isn’t just a hobby for Jolie-Pitt and that he is gearing up for a show at a gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel. It’s unclear how much the works might cost.

Jolie-Pitt has tended to stay out of the limelight. In November, he was spotted shopping with Jolie around LA. He graduated from college in 2021, with a source telling The Sun he chose not to attend the graduation ceremony to avoid paparazzi.

[From Page Six]

At 19, I don’t think he’s already graduated from college, more like he graduated from high school or some kind of specialized school for the arts. While I’m sure Angelina nurtures her kids’ artistic spirits, I wonder if she secretly hoped that at least one of the kids would end up a lawyer or diplomat? Maybe that’s Zahara’s path! Lord knows what Vivienne and Knox will end up doing too. Shiloh is on TikTok and she seems really into dance and the performing arts. Maddox is still in college in South Korea, right? Anyway… good for Pax. I hope his Tel Aviv exhibition goes well.

    “Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 19-year-old son…”

Yeah, no. Brad only cares about his white bio kids. Tabloids need to quit using his name when writing about Angelina’s BIPOC children.

  2. MrsBanjo says:

I love how her kids are able to find their own paths and be themselves without pressure to be any one thing. That kind of support is so important for kids.

  3. JustMe says:

Can’t wait for Brad to be asked about this from a reporter..

  4. Liesel says:

    Nepotism baby

    • molly says:

Yeah, I have a ton of respect for how Angelina has raised those kids, and they seem pretty happy and well-adjusted, but “mixed media artist at a gallery in Tel Aviv” is the most nepobaby sh!t I’ve ever heard.

      Very big David Rose energy.

    • Kara says:

Yeah, I feel like there’s a little bias here because everyone loves Angelina. If it were another celeb, people would be yelling that he should go to school and study art, not be expected to be handed a career because he had famous parents.

      • Coco says:

O please people on here have no problem saying he is anything from nepotism. Jolie has made the comment the Pax was in college it’s not known what he is studying or had studied .

    • Feli says:

      Somebody asked about the Prices
      https://www.saatchiart.com/embtto

Well Saatchi is a bigger Gallery…..
IDK good luck for him, the Artscene and Artschools are now full of rich Kids + famous Kids, all those kids with parental connection one have to work hard for a lifetime in the arts particular, another Field likely not available for middleclass People anymore….sad

  5. Katie says:

I wish they hadn’t published his pseudonym!! Give the kiddo some privacy.

    • Foodie Canuk says:

This!! He is likely trying to stay under the radar, trying to do the installation and here they are outing him and yelling nepo-baby when maybe he was really trying to do things in a quieter manner.

      Friggen’ rude!

  6. Kaye says:

I think they meant graduated from high school (not college) in 2021. he’s only 19 now & I don’t remember any college news similar to Maddox & Zahara.

  7. Sierra says:

Well done media for publishing his pseudonym 🙄

Either way, it’s interesting to see how all 6 kids have different interests. And well find to Angelina for single-handedly raising them to become well adjusted adults.

  8. June says:

I hope that stabs BP in the heart and that Pax is successful. Pax is the real artist in the family.

  9. Caseysmom says:

You can absolutely graduate from college at 19. If he went to a two-year art school or a community college online, he would have enough credits to do so if he had tke taken challenge exams for certain areas like music or language or politics. Very possible and done all the time. At my college, we have students graduate from high school with their college associate degree at the same time. That means some finish their bachelor’s degree at 19 or 20. This is not college in the 90s or 2000s!

    • Chaine says:

ITA, especially if he’s doing digital stuff, he could have been in some type of specialized A.A. degree program. My local vo-tech offers an associates in digital arts.

    • Charfromdarock says:

Whatever he graduated from, it’s sad he didn’t feel like he could attend because of paparazzi.

  10. TQ says:

Interesting. I was curious about the pieces, and here’s what I found at Saatchi:

I hope I’m still alive when 20-30 years from now, one of the Pitt-Jolie kids writes a memoir, a la Spare.
What’s it’s been like, to be born/adopted into this huge wild nomadic family, the travels and lessons learned about people, Angie as a mom/human…. And of course the dragging Pitt so richly deserves.

  12. Katy45 says:

Ya I’m sure he is just a really talented teen and definitely not a nepobaby *insert eye roll**. Sorry but normal teens don’t get art shows in foreign cpu tries. This is because of who his parents are. Typical nepo -shit.

  13. Meredith says:

Well it’s better than Brooklyn Beckham’s photography book. Abstract art is not really to my taste, but of course that’s just me. Here’s hoping that it goes well for him! I’ve had some classmates at that age get their stuff exhibited too, so it’s not completely impossible, but still shades of nepobaby. 🤷‍♀️

  14. BlueSky says:

I read somewhere that Maddox transferred to NYU. I remember seeing him in NY with his mother.

I know in HS you can take classes that will apply to college credits
so it could be a possibility?

My niece is doing this and can graduate from college in 2 years.

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

Granddaughter#1 took college credit classes in H.S. and was able to graduate early from local community college. I guess it just depends on the school system?

  15. outoftheshadows says:

I’ve seen a lot of contemporary art that is less skilled and more expensive than this. (I looked at the link provided above by TQ.) Honestly, you can’t expect that he’s NOT going to get attention for being Angelina’s kid. Look at his subject matter and his themes–he’s got a real reason to make art. I wish him a lot of success–and I expect that he’ll be donating the proceeds as well, like his sister did with her jewelry line.

  16. Frippery says:

His work is breathtaking and I hope that whatever success he has, it is celebrated for it’s merits instead of him just being Angelina’s child. Like, I love Angelina and I am sure she is an amazing mother. But I looked at the stuff that TQ linked and he should be recognized for his talent, not name.

  17. Alycea says:

Wow his art is actually fantastic for his age. I can only assume he’s had some type of training because this seems to be above intermediate level. I wonder how long he’s been selling his work.

  18. Annalise says:

I’m curious how this art show in Tel Aviv came out. Certainly there are thousands of talented 19 year old artists out there, probably many are just as good as Pax. But they’re not getting their art exhibited in Tel Aviv.

Imo, the sole reason Pax is getting this opportunity is because he is Jolie’s son. I think he would be getting it regardless of the quality of his art. Imo

I don’t know if Jolie was actively involved in helping him get this exhibit, but I feel VERY confident that her name was invoked at some point. Imo

There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging that nepotism likely helped Pax get his foot in the door. What he does from there is what he should be judged on, and I can think of no better way for him to acknowledge his gigantic advantages, then for him to help fellow struggling artists.

    • Coco says:

Actually it not his personal are Art exhibit he and a group of other young artists have been , chosen to present an ‘abstract’ piece containing Ynet-Culture.

      • Annalise.e.rabasa@gmail.com says:

I still think his connection to Jolie had something to do with it. How often do
19 year olds get their art exhibited in foreign cities with exciting art scenes, like Tel Aviv (because exciting =highly competitive).
Im not saying I think he’s a bad artist. I checked out his Saatchi page and I DO think he has genuine talent. What I’m saying is that I think his talent is not the main reason he is part of this exhibit, it’s secondary. Imo.
A lot of people in the comments have admonished the press for releasing his pseudonym, but I think it was likely the gallery itself that first put it out there, in efforts to drum up interest and excitement in the exhibition.
Again, the likelihood of nepotism getting him in the door to the artworld does not have to be a diminishing detail. In our culture it has become increasingly important to acknowledge one’s privelage. That’s all. What he does from here is what he should be judged on

      • Coco says:

I said in the above comment that yes he is benefiting from who his mom is I’m not denying that. I was only pointing out that this isn’t his personal art show. I agree that I think the gallery Is using him to promote this expedition sadly. I think they should have respected his wishes since he was trying to go incognito it would’ve been a different situation if he was using his real name.

  19. Julia K says:

He graduated high school in June 2021, 18 months ago. Maybe he is going to art school in an associate degree program.

  20. Pooperscooper says:

Just not impressed with digital art. Anyone can do it and make it look good.
