Princess Kate ‘puts duty before herself’ & ‘doesn’t do drama & she never has’

Here are even more photos of the Princess of Wales at last week’s reception for the England Wheelchair Rugby team. While Kate did rewear a Roland Mouret suit, she wore a new piece of jewelry, and I saw several articles devoted solely to that piece. Her necklace is by Daniella Draper and it’s a citrine pendant. When Kate is purchasing jewelry for herself (and by that I mean, with her father-in-law’s credit card), she tends to favor semi-precious stones anyway. Ever since Meghan came around, Kate buys jewelry which definitely look like pieces in Meghan’s collection too, and this necklace fits in that category. Anyway, I guess Daniella Draper sent out promotional emails about the necklace, because we now know the necklace is called the “Gold Citrine Baby Treasure Necklace” and it retails for $1,100. The brand says the citrine “assists in manifesting your biggest dreams, bringing in more success & prosperity.” The citrine is also King Charles’s birthstone. Curious. Meanwhile, there are a lot of these kinds of stories going around:

The Princess of Wales is ‘rising above the drama’ following her brother-in-law’s explosive memoir, a royal expert has claimed. Kate Middleton, 41 – who this week attended public engagements at a hospital in Liverpool and a nursery in Luton – was praised for ‘putting duty before herself’.

‘She’s doing a job that not only puts a smile on her face, but brings smiles to the faces of others,’ author Katie Nicholl told OK! Magazine. ‘She doesn’t do drama and she never has.’

The writer behind The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy And The Future Of The Crown told the outlet the King Charles III will be channeling the same ‘back to business’ attitude his family is known for.

‘She’s leading by example and putting duty before herself,’ Katie added.

[From The Daily Mail]

Now, whenever someone talks about Kate being undramatic and dutiful, please think about how Kate threw a f–king tantrum about how she was “owed an apology” when Meghan made an entirely sympathetic comment about her “baby brain.” Think about how William and Kate were also seething for months about not receiving Easter presents from Meghan and Harry. Kate is a ridiculous person – just because she didn’t come in for a ton of criticism in Spare, doesn’t mean that she’s blameless or faultless here.

  1. Tessa says:

More saint Kate spin. If she puts duty first how come she has low work numbers. She visibly created drama with those mean girl expressions and her confrontational pose to Meghan on that walkabout

    • Chloe says:

Ma middleton briefing the press heavy again. Katie is one of their favorite reporters. I guess something must me amiss in the wails’ marriage again

    • Andy Dufrense says:

Sure Kate. No drama, but please continue to entertain us with your performative charity events, your exaggerated facial expressions and countless lies.

Btw, if you’re going to be the future Queen, better to close your goddam mouth! I can see everything for crying out loud lol. Love the pics Kaiser!

      • Feeshalori says:

Seriously, you can see her tonsils, for crying out loud!

      • Dee says:

At least the Brits know what they got for their tax money. “See this set of veneers! Top notch!”

      • BeanieBean says:

I was looking at some Getty photos yesterday of various British society/charity events. A LOT of those women had the open mouth gaping smile. I don’t know that I’ve ever smiled like that, maybe when I’m laughing? But it seems to be a thing.

      • Mra.Krabapple says:

Kate’s face is very saggy, especially her jewels. I think the open mouthed grin is supposed to disguise that.

      • Mary Pester says:

No drama, you mean that mouth and those weird bulging eyes are her normal expression?? I guess we all know now why Billy bully likes Rose so much 😂, imagine waking up and seeing those tonsils and eyes staring at you. 👀👀👀You would be afraid to close your eyes again

      • Felicity Fox says:

Her left eyebrow has been doing drama for a long time now.

      • SourcesclosetoKate says:

@beaniebean Diana use to open mouth smile sometimes I think kate does it to copy her

    • Belli says:

Because they don’t consider work to be her duty. The royals don’t actually care about the work. They only do it to stop the peasants questioning their worth. Her duty is to be silent, thin and fertile.

      • Lisabits says:

@Kim I recently, by just searching for healing music on Spotify, discovered something for healing trauma by Pablo Arellano that uses specific Hertz frequencies. It was actually amazing how much it changed my very dark mood.

    • Bean says:

It’s like they’ve have completely forgotten how much the press loathed her when she first came around. She is useless window dressing and no amount of historical revision will change that.

    • Pixie says:

She’s fake laughing in one of the pictures. Look at the outside corner of her eye. No wrinkle. People who truly laugh, they’re eyes crinkle. She has no wrinkles or crows feet. Also, in one picture, she looks slightly psychotic the way her eyes are really wide.

She’s a poser, and a drama queen. She has to be the best. She was groomed that all women are competition. She’s too vapid and clueless to understand that people like Meghan because she’s a genuine human that cares about other people. Kate only cares about herself.

      • Bromptonviewer says:

That’s bad botox though. My friend got way too much around her eyes and everyone thought she looked fake happy at her wedding. She was very happy.

    • KATHLEEN says:

But what has she actually done or said that makes sense?

  2. Haylie says:

And don’t forget the bridesmaids dresses and her involvement in the smear campaign against Meghan.

    Kate is all drama.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

For me, if you put all these Celebitchy images together she is the personification of the famous Tik Tok, Ami the drama meme.
      Am I the drama?
      Is it me?
      Am I the drama?
      I don’t think I’m the drama…
      Maybe I am!
      Am I the villain?
      I don’t think I’m the villain!
The problem is Kate wouldn’t be able to say these words coherently.

    • Cessily says:

I agree, she is all drama. What amazes me is she is now five years older than Princess Diana was when she was killed and they still act like this woman is a child. I used to have some sympathy for her but that is long gone. She is going to age just like her step MIL if she even makes to that advanced age with her very obvious and serious eating disorder.

      • BeanieBean says:

I noticed that when she left that nursery school she was talking with some folks outside & she said something about how it was a good visit, that ‘they looked after her very well’. Why would she, visiting them to sprinkle her princess-lustre, need looking after? I thought that odd.

      • Lorelei says:

@BeanieBean she’s been making comments like that for years and it’s baffling. (I think she might have even said it about the Queen once?) I can’t imagine myself saying (or thinking, tbh) that to anyone after I was past, maybe, age ten.

It’s as if she’s this fragile flower requiring great care and it’s bizarre. She’s a 41-year-old mother of three but you wouldn’t know it just from reading about how she behaves at “work.”

      • DouchesOfCambridge says:

It’s staggering how immature, professionally lacking, and potentially limited for the job Kate is when you put her next to Diana or Meghan. It’s not about beauty or looks or fashion, which is what she is all about.
She went on being the only “young and fresh” royal for too long and then, once she got a sister in law, she couldn’t even adapt or process that.

  3. Rapunzel says:

Doesn’t do drama…. except for the time she
    1. Tried to ice out Rose from the turnip toffs
    2. Insisted a bridesmaid dress be redone four days before the wedding.
    3. “You don’t know me well enough to talk about my hormones!”
    4. Changed place cards at a wedding to avoid sitting next to her husband.
    5. Demanded Easter gifts.

    Just to name a few.

    • Inge says:

She also discussed the bridesmaids dresses with her designer and insisted that they should ALL be redone

And I think in Spare it sad “we are not close enough for your to talk about my hormones”
Way to welcome your sister in law into the family Kate! So welcoming!

    • Ginger says:

Agreed. Harry definitely was dragging Kate in his book. She comes off looking unhinged. She was white knuckling her chair because Meghan talked about her having baby brain. Who does that?

    • RoyalBlue says:

      and:
Didn’t invite Meghan to go shopping with her
Worked behind the scenes to ensure Meghan was not invited to Pippa’s wedding
Negative comment on herbal remedy for a cold
Never attempted to make Meghan feel welcome or part of the family.
Standing directly in front of Meghan on the balcony
      Erdem is MINE.

    • SourcesclosetoKate says:

I’m realizing how nervous Meghan must have been, knowing now she was paying for a lot of things and money was tight and she was expected to not over spend but yet show out for the media

  4. Laura D says:

Kate doesn’t do drama? Bridesmaids dresses anyone? Anyhow, if Kate puts duty before herself then surely we would be reading about her latest set of engagements? If she was as dutiful as this article is trying to tell us there wouldn’t be a need for the article because we would all be able to see how hard she works on behalf of the country. More tosh to cover up the fact Kate is one of the laziest people ever to put on a royal tiara!

    • Mary Pester says:

Now come on, no one and I mean no one with half a brain could link the words Kate, hard and work in a sentence. Petty, spiteful, jealous and nasty, YES, but work, Kate and hard NO. EVEN the late Queen told William that she was lazy and needed to get her act together, but as usual, she ignored the Queen. It’s all me, me, me and I want, I want, I want with this woman

  5. BRC says:

She still has her tonsils….I know that I don’t know her well enough but she still has her tonsils. She just showed the world with her mouth gapping.

    • NotTheOne says:

      hahahahaha

    • Brassy Rebel says:

That photo! Can’t someone tell her the gaping pie hole look is not flattering? The only places you should be opening your mouth that wide are doctor’s and dentist’s offices. Sheesh!

And while she’s at it she should put her eyes back in their sockets. A good comms person could explain to her how to comport herself before cameras.

    • WiththeAmericann says:

Showing tonsils is a sign of manic charisma, okay!?!

    • ChattyCath says:

Her tonsils look very healthy too. Unlike mine were and contributed to life.one poor health. Latest thing is it’s only deprived people that get rheumatic fever so that’s all right.

  6. L84Tea says:

That second photo, yeesh! I can see her uvula. Close your mouth, Kate. As for her jewelry, this is a nice look and something I would absolutely wear. And yeah, her sudden interest in yellow gold jewelry is noted.

  7. Pinkosaurus says:

Tee hee, after she mean girled Rose until Willie’s affair became an international story including the pegging allegations 😂🙄 Kate doesn’t do her duty in actual work engagements or supporting her charities, nor does she do the job Willie picked her for which is to keep her yap shut and smile to cover up his constant dalliances and make him look good.

  8. Isabella says:

Passive Aggressive isn’t the same thing as cool and collected.

    • Lorelei says:

Excellent point, Isabella. Kate 100% believes they’re the same.

    • Kim says:

Thanks for this, it’s what I’ve been thinking as this family issues reminds me of my own, which I’m trying to stay away from with minimal contact. I’m trying to do it alone since 2017, but over time my confidence is shattered knowing now those who should have cared for me were invested in my failure. Like Harry, I’ve done EMDR, which was helpful, but nothing will really remove the pain. On better days I feel empowered knowing my strength and resilience. But overall, my ability to function and professional growth in my career have suffered and I’ve become destitute at age 50. I do what I can to stay active, but I’m tired and feel lost about how to regain my sense of self and get out of poverty.

      • kirk says:

Kim – sorry to hear this. Maybe try short walks in neighborhood and try to connect with 1 or 2 decent neighbors to chat with?

      • Lisabits says:

@Kim I recently, by just searching for healing music on Spotify, discovered something for healing trauma by Pablo Arellano that uses specific Hertz frequencies. It was actually amazing how much it changed my very dark mood.

  9. Snuffles says:

It’s that steady drumbeat of messaging: a good royal plays by the rules, does what they are told, never talks about their never questions anything and never, never, NEVER talks about what happens behind the curtain.

    • First comment says:

If by talking, you mean directly and owning whatever she says, you’re right…she’s is not talking. But she definitely “talks” through friends, sources etc. to royal reporters.

      • Lorelei says:

@First Comment, of course you’re right, but unfortunately I don’t think nearly enough people understand that yet. Harry’s definitely been making progress, but it isn’t yet common knowledge that the quotes in those rags are coming directly from (or at the very least, were approved by) the royals themselves. “Dignified silence” my ass.

    • teehee says:

But its also a good helping of “all hail the female doormat” and “wary any woman has expectations for herself” which is an incredibly toxic message to send just in the interest of preserving your institution. This sort of propaganda affects women everywhere- how selfish of the RF to use this as a tool for their preservation.

  10. Iolanthe says:

How superficial is this woman ! It’s embarrassing the way she tries to recreate Diana and Meghan classics from top to toe and still is such a poor copy . So shallow ..really it’s kinder not to look .

  11. Miranda says:

Nothing at all dramatic about parading half-naked in front of the object of your obsession, plotting with your mother to chase off any other girl clueless enough to be interested in him, throwing yourself (or, failing that, your sister) at your brother-in-law, attempting to sabotage his relationship, demanding his bride change her wedding plans with just days to go, turning your grandfather-in-law’s funeral into a fashion show, and robbing the corpse of your grandmother-in-law. So down-to-earth and low maintenance, that Kate!

    • Harper says:

Kate’s pre-funeral peacemaker publicity push was as dramatic as it was disgraceful. It felt like Kate was actually excited to have a public event with all eyes on her after months of covid lockdown. Hair, makeup, wardrobe, jewels. Then, lights, camera, action! Remember there was a huge debate on here about whether or not Willnot barked at her and made her cry on the walk back to Windsor when she was angling to be seen pulling the brothers together with the camera on her. Then who can forget her wistful gazing at Harry during the ceremony? Surely, anyone who cared about Prince Philip’s passing would have had their mind on other things that day.

      • Chloe says:

I will never forget kate’s behavior at prince philips funeral. While the family was mourning she was posing for the camera’s. It was shameful. And the kate the peacemaker move was so obvious. The press was basically barking at her to pull a stunt like that days before the funeral.

      • Nic919 says:

She was the only one with photos looking directly at the camera, especially that car photo. No one else looked directly at the camera because they were actually mourning Philip.

It was also a horrible look that she was off away from the other family members and captured in a few poses on her own there too.

I think her behaviour there is what caused William to cut her out of the statue unveiling.

  12. Lola09 says:

Surrrrre! And I’m Angelina Jolie’s hotter twin 🙄

I frequently wonder if the DM’s writers even believe the crap they spew or if they just treat it as a completely cynical exercise in gaslighting while generating maximum clicks 🤷🏻‍♀️ And of course the fact they are all in the pockets of certain powerful people.

    • SomeChick says:

they write what they are told to write, and they get paid by the word! that’s why there’s so much repetition. and also because repetition really helps with getting people to believe the false narrative.

  13. Normades says:

What is going on with that eyebrow??? That’s some Botox gone wrong, right?

  14. Remy says:

Duty first! Remember when she broke a hundred years tradition of handing out shamrocks because she didn’t want it to be automatically expected that she do it every year? Or how she skipped the Paralympics to prep for a tour only to go holiday? So dutiful!

  15. matthew says:

What a dump of a country

  16. Becks1 says:

Obviously we all know that Kate definitely “does drama” and after reading Spare I think she is behind a great deal of the family vitriol towards Meghan, at least from W&K’s camp. Like do we think William would have cared about an Easter present without Kate egging him on about it? I doubt it. I also feel like Kate was purposely unavailable the first time Meghan stopped by 1A as some sort of weird power move (“she wants to meet me but I’m just SO busy I can’t just wait around for her.”)

Like I think both W&K had problems with Meghan from the start but for different reasons and I think they both egged each other on for those problems. Like W didn’t like her for X reason, Kate for Y reason, so they both went in on Z reason. IDK if that makes sense. I want to be clear I’m not giving William any kind of pass and I’m not saying that he treated Meghan like dirt because Kate told him to, obviously we know thats not the case.

But yeah, I don’t think Kate has ever put duty before anything. Except maybe keeping her mouth shut about what William is like behind closed doors, maybe that’s considered “doing her duty.”

    • Kokiri says:

Well, having to procreate with Willy at least 3 times is definitely a duty.
I cannot imagine looking up at that ugly face.

    • Chloe says:

@becks1: i am still of the opinion that william has a thing for meghan, which is why kate can’t stand her. And seeing as meghan probably didn’t spare william a second thought (considering she’s very much in love with his younger brother) he now has an axe to grind with her as well.

Then factor in that palace officials obviously had their biases about her and probably whispered all sorts of things in their ears we have a recipe for disaster

      • TheWigletOfWails says:

@chloe I completely agree with you. I also think they thought Meghan was great as entertainment (being fans of suits) but not as a member of the family (we know Peggy and Princess Jazzhands are snobs). I also think that her irrationally piling on Meghan was a way of getting Peggy’s attention. Since she can’t take Rose down, Meghan was the next best thing and it would bring them closer together.

      • Bromptonviewer says:

I don’t think it’s this. I think Kate dealt with so much prejudice and press vitriol for being a “commoner” that she got to say look who is a Duchess now. I went to the right schools. I had my own Chelsea flat. I am worthy and one of you. She was never accepted as such. Then Prince Harry married a divorced biracial actress and in her mind it means her “accomplishment” means nothing because the princes can and will marry beyond the aristo set.

      • Nic919 says:

Kate has a history of being difficult with women she viewed as competition. Meghan was a threat to her from the start because she is smarter, more accomplished, sexier and actually wanted by her husband. Kate couldn’t handle that.

    • Nic919 says:

It’s hilarious how the woman who broke the hundred year old tradition of attending the St Patrick’s Day event because she “didn’t want to create expectations” is being called someone with a sense of duty. If she did she would be working at least as many engagements as Sophie.

As for the theory that Kate acted the way she did because William had a thing for Meghan, I didn’t think it was possible at first, but knowing now that they both watched Suits, Kate likely went into defender mode from day one and she clearly was freezing Meghan out even as early as the shopping incident. Kate has a terrible track record with women in general but Meghan was charismatic, fun loving, sexy, everything kate never was, and so she made it a point to treat Meghan like a lesser person, even though Meghan was never going to “steal her man”.
It’s likely this was the same kind of thing she tried to pull on Rose, but Rose pushed back and had more power in aristo society.

      • Chloe says:

Nic919: it could be that i am completely off my rocket here but to me william being into her is the only thing that makes sense.

Being a fan of suits, being overdressed when he first met her, being touched by her offering homeopathic remedies, seeming to like meghan despite telling harry to pace himself (it’s clear to me william didn’t want harry to have her), and then the way he looked at her on H and M’s wedding day AND at the RAF 100th anniversary celebrations at the abbey.

Plus the marriage of the Cambridges cooled significantly around this time. Because before they actually seemed like a couple.

      • Becks1 says:

I don’t buy into the “William had a thing for Meghan” line of thinking but I can see why others do. I think if anything, William had a thing for Rachel Zane and probably did find Meghan attractive, but I don’t think he acted the way he did out of some sort of twisted lust or anything. Meghan was better at the job than Kate (and better at it than William too) and that was the threat that had to eliminated.

      • Nic919 says:

I don’t know if William had a thing for Rachel Zane or Meghan, but Kate certainly thought he did because Meghan was treated as competition from day one. This despite clearly being in love with Harry.

    • Lorelei says:

LMAO I don’t even need to comment further because @Becks said absolutely everything I think about all of this.

  17. C-Shell says:

Stellar photo array! That gawping pic is strangely fascinating … that forehead is well and truly frozen. The full set of crowns is right there to be admired — Bulliam should really go to KKKHate’s dentist.

Re: KKKHate being no drama (“never has” 🤣🤣🤣), well, “bathe in hypocrisy”, Nicholl.

  18. Nic919 says:

So she repeated clothing but added another expensive piece of jewelry to the mix. It’s crazy because she does this all the time when she does wear a repeat she instead has expensive jewelry or hand bag. It’s really a sickness with her.

    • TeamMeg says:

I wonder if she’s trying to turn MAROON into her signature color? Re: New necklace—really pretty, but way too expensive. Plus, I’m wondering if the stone is real citrine, or the more common heat-treated amethyst? Also wondering if she is trying to fix the Disaster Brow, but keeps making it worse with every new treatment?

    • Feeshalori says:

Kate always pays the maximum amount of money for the minimal look of her jewelry. $1,100 for that bauble? It’s an attractive piece but I would want more bang for my buck. She can’t spend the Duchy of Cornwall’s money fast enough.

      • Lorelei says:

She could have found a similar necklace just as pretty on Etsy for $1000 less than she spent.

And @Nic it drives me insane that she always does that— debuts new jewelry with a “repeat” so all of the headlines are about “thrifty Kate, recycling her clothes again!” meanwhile ignoring the thousands of dollars in new accessories.

The most egregious example of this, imo, was when she wore that long Cartier necklace that cost something like $20,000 with a blue dress. The focus in the press was not on the necklace. And that was a run-of-the-mill daytime event!

  19. JMoney says:

The British press are rewriting history and if they get the murdoch/conservative owned pop culture/tabloid/gossip websites to parrot this in the US, Kate’s reputation will be “saved”. Will it be universal approval? No bc only TQ did but if they a 60/40 then they’ve done their job and esp if they can harass/black list ppl from supporting The Sussexes.

How many celebs/grandfathered blue ticks praise H’s book publicly? It’s going to be less and less bc no one wants to deal with trolls or the press bashing them.

    • Snuffles says:

Well, here’s the thing. The US is so huge and diverse, there is room for both the Sussex’s and the Wales’. Each appeals to vastly different demographics. But the Wales’ don’t get that. They feel like the only way they will “win” the US is if the Sussex’s are destroyed.

And because they have that mindset, they keep trying to hack away at the American and her very American virtues. This will result in them turning off a lot of Americans who had no opinion on the Sussex’s but will want to defend their right to build their own lives. It’s the American way. And these royal snobs attacking the American way will remind them of why we kicked their asses out of country in the first place.

      • Mary Pester says:

Especially as William made the obnoxious comment well she’s American, what do you expect. Well I tell you what Billy boy, I EXPECT you to respect everyone, not just your snooty hunting friends or your Palace toadies, and believe me, the Americans I know could teach you a thing or two about manners and decency you nasty, nasty little Royal snob

  20. SussexWatcher says:

Is she opening wide for a dental exam? A throat culture? To prove to the room she never had her tonsils out? Are they playing pin the tail on Keen’s uvula?

Who in the idiotic world is advising her on her whacked out, over the top, incongruent (to her surroundings and everyone around her) body language? She is an absolute weirdo. A keen-stalking, bullying, mean girl, lazy weirdo.

    • dina says:

those expressions are so unhinged I cannot, WTF

      • Lorelei says:

I mean…doesn’t SHE see this pictures? Yes, there should definitely be someone more competent advising her, and evidently there isn’t. (Or, more likely, there was, but she didn’t heed their advice.) But that shouldn’t prevent *her* from seeing a photo like that (because you know she reads all of her own press; I firmly believe that they ALL do, no matter how many times they deny it), thinking “Yikes!” and toning it down.

Maybe she thinks it’s endearing or something? Some of her fans absolutely love it, and fawn all over photos like this, going on about how cute and funny her expressions are, how her “natural joy and enthusiasm” (LMFAO) just shine through.

I would be MORTIFIED if a photo like that of me appeared in the international press and would probably never open my mouth in front of a camera ever again, but she’s been doing it for years, so she must think there’s something, uh, appealing about it?

I’m surprised that William hasn’t told her to cut it out. She may not listen to staffers, but she’d listen to him. He must see how stupid she looks, and we already know that he suffers secondhand embarrassment from her behavior in public all the time because we’ve seen it with our own eyes.

      • Nic919 says:

Despite the huge guffaws, there is no sincerity in her eyes.

And knowing that this is an event where most are sitting in a wheelchair, she’s looking down at them in a bit of a stern way. It’s weird they didn’t set up the event to be more eye level.

      • Becks1 says:

@Nic she should have just sat down in a chair. she would have been more comfortable and she would have been closer to eye level with the people with whom she was talking. It’s a little bit more awkward to move around at an event like that but not impossibly so.

I wonder how long she stayed. Maybe she didnt have time to sit down.

  21. Tessa says:

And the the one who doesn’t create drama waged a media campaign to do win back William. Posing for photos at clubs being seen with other men so will would see what he was missing. Rushing across a room to protect wiiliam when she saw another woman coming on to him this before they dated. And wearing gaudy gold gown at film premiere.

  22. Inge says:

Jesus we can see her tonsils

  23. Izzy says:

Nice veneers. That’s all I got.

  24. dee(2) says:

Even if this tripe were true, its incredibly problematic to encourage someone to put “duty” before themselves. This is the rationale that leads to so many mental health issues in families because parents, siblings, children are burnt out and being told to just shoulder a little more for a little longer because your family needs you. If I didn’t think they were the last people who should front mental health already, having people speaking on your behalf saying things like put duty before yourself, and stop playing the victim would have put me over the edge.

  25. B says:

Sigh…so now she wears small sentimental pieces of jewelry that have energy and mystical properties?

Only thing left for her to copy is yoga.

    • Layla says:

Yep. Did you notice the jumper too? Straight out of Meghan’s wardrobe. When has k ever worn crew neck jumpers before?

    • notasugarhere says:

Keen’s done yoga for years. Don’t you remember the naked yoga and bikini yoga poses she did during the dating years (presumably for William)? Pippa took all the pics for her, then Pip’s camera was stolen from the front seat of her unlocked car. The thief gave the camera back without selling the photos once they got an eyeful and saw what they had.

      • Lorelei says:

@Nota, WHAT? I don’t know about this story (even though it sounds exactly like Vintage Kate), so do go on…

  26. Eurydice says:

Wow, the BM and royal experts are in real trouble if this is all they can find to say about Kate.

    • kelleybelle says:

You said it, yep. Nothing there except the clothes. And the exterior has already had lots of botox and fillers, added hair. Some jazz hands and overly-done facial expressions is all you get.

  27. Amy Bee says:

I can’t believe royal commentators are still saying that Kate doesn’t do drama. Really?

  28. The Duchess says:

The lady doth protest too much! We see you trying to rewrite history, girl! Your nasty drama streak has left many trails…

  29. Chantal says:

No drama Mama Kate? Haha. As if. They need to stop drinking the kool-aid and find another beverage to consume.

  30. Lizzie says:

I feel like Keen would love it if they could put in a slide everywhere she goes.

  31. 809Matriarch says:

Now that she is married to the Duke of Cornwall/Prince of Wales, does she need to use her father-in-law’s credit card?

Isn’t Willy rolling in cash from the Duchy of Cornwall now? Just think when Charles was Prince of Wales, he had to support William and Harry and their families. William doesn’t have to spread the wealth. Kate can shop to her heart’s content.

  32. First comment says:

If by duty, they mean showing once or twice a week (at most), totally unprepared, incapable of speaking clearly or contributing anything significant while wearing a 170000£ wardrobe and very expensive jewelry and having vacations in luxurious places literally whenever she wants then, yes, she’s putting duty above herself…

    • Nic919 says:

I won’t be surprised if that amount doubles next year because she only had direct access to the duchy credit card from September on.

  33. TheVolvesSeidr says:

Citrine absorbs negative energy and never has be “cleansed”. Kkkate should have a citrine encrusted dress made and wear it 24-7. Might help, can’t hurt.

    • notasugarhere says:

I find this amusing given that citrine is rarely if ever found in this colour naturally. It is clear white quartz or frequently amethyst. It has to be nuked/irradiated to become yellow.

    • Lorelei says:

I didn’t know that about citrine! Unfortunately, I think Kate is so far gone (in more ways than one) at this point that even the encrusted dress wouldn’t be enough to improve her life.

  34. Gabby says:

White Knuckles Waity doesn’t do drama and is all about duty. OK. I would like to hear her describe out loud in her own words what she thinks that duty is. I will bet my car and one of my kids she couldn’t come up with a coherent sentence.

I am convinced the only reason Charlotte cried when she tried on the bridesmaid dress is because her mother was standing there fretting out loud…”oh my gawd, that is awful….it looks terrible…” and thus made her own daugher cry.

It would be refreshing if Princess Bitch do MORE chose duty over drama. Every new day is a fresh chance…..

  35. kelleybelle says:

Oh please. Of course not, she’s not allowed, lol. No ambition, nothing between the ears, no charisma. She bore the heirs and Will wasn’t even interested to begin with other than for shags when he was in the mood. If they say UK charities don’t benefit by having royal patrons, what is she good for except to showcase outdated, ugly, obscenely expensive clothes?

  36. aquarius64 says:

I have another take: if there are any issues in the Wales marriage Kate better suck up and she better not leave.

  37. Flower says:

When a person insists ‘they don’t do drama” it 100% means they are the architect of drama.

  38. Lizzie says:

Didn’t she have a big, generation changing announcement coming?

  39. Lee says:

Even if she wanted to do drama, she couldn’t, she would never openly step out of line with the palace, her goal is the crown and a million books ain’t keeping her from that prize! Lool

    • Tessa says:

She did drama with the mean girl behavior to Meghan and making herself the star of those concerts and pushing her way to the center of the balcony and going down a slide to get attention.

  40. Over it says:

I was rewatching Harry and Meghan. The part when the media was asking kate about the happy news about the engagement and she was all its wonderful news . By the time she turned she couldn’t hold that fake smile one second longer. So forgive us if we don’t buy that Kate the sainted one isn’t about the drama but all about dedication and hard work. This woman’s picture is in the dictionary under the word drama queen.

  41. Dee says:

The hate parade of burgundy dresses over the holidays says otherwise.

  42. Well Wisher says:

Meghan’s has earrings with that similar semi-precious stone from Maison Birks.

As usual, Kate is being aspirational, this type of reportage is similar to post hoc, civil rights era.

I am now reading the book, more than a third of the it and she is mentioned in two instances in a complimentary manner in Harry’s opinion.
Now at the point of the bridesmaids dresses.

So why is she being dramatic?????

    • Well Wisher says:

This could also be an attempt to reclaim Harry’s narrative and replace it with a repetitive story line which centres on Kate as saint.
It gives the fail an entry point once more. (with its love of the old tool, repetition of lies)
Kate will continue to get the attention that she craves without resorting to wearing big hats and indulging in oversaturated jewelry as a means of self-importance.

  43. Jaded says:

That was a pretty dramatic hate-face she put on at the Commonwealth church ceremony. If looks could kill there’d have been a few dead bodies on the floor. And let’s not forget her hate-face and attack stance against Meghan at the funeral walkabout. She appeared like she was about to lunge at Meghan who looked terrified. I don’t know what went on just prior to them exiting the car but it must have been dramatically bad.

    • Feeshalori says:

That was a full onslaught of hostility from drama-free Kate at the walkabouts. I wonder if that episode is included in the 400 excluded pages from Harry’s book. Maybe it’ll be included if a paperback is published.

      • A says:

The parts that were included were damning enough on their own. For anyone to say that Kate isn’t a diva is a stretch. But with that said, I can agree on some extent with that statement, if it were a statement with an added caveat that Kate isn’t a diva, she’s actually a humourless dowd who has a fundamental inability to accept or reciprocate genuine warmth from anyone. That was my takeaway from Harry’s book.

  44. Rnot says:

I wonder if William and Kate both have a problem with bruxism. Constantly clenching his teeth has visibly changed the shape of William’s jaw muscle. I wonder if some of Kate’s gape mouth poses are an attempt to avoid clenching while looking engaged in whatever visit she’s making.

  45. Vanessa says:

Kate does drama she just gets her mother and uncle do her dirty work for her .

  46. tamsin says:

That first photo is a bit jarring. I’ve never seen so much throat- this is medical text level. How many situations would cause someone to spontaneously throw back their head and laugh like that?

  47. AC says:

I guess I’ll always remember how Fake Kate really is when she did her eye roll at an event in Harlem years ago… while the British Press thought she was cute about it. If Meghan did the same you know they would have written what a complete B!

  48. Emily_C says:

“Duty?” Well she created three heirs, so that’s more than Will has done. Otherwise, is duty being dangerously skinny and putting up with a cheating husband?

  49. Side Eye says:

I think being married to a temperamental boiled egg is very dramatic, and so is chasing that egg for ten years while numerous others say hard pass to it.

Shooting daggers at your SIL during a funeral walkabout? Super dramatic!

Fawning at your BIL for years certainly shows a flair for the dramatic, and a certain je ne sais quoi – like a level of crazy you see in a bad Lifetime movie.

Not showing up for work always invites drama and she’s the queen of no shows. Imagine all the drama in our lives if we just stopped showing up for work! So many angry phone calls. Maybe coworkers calling 911 to do well checks. So much drama!

I bet there’s even more drama when she downs those crack babies!

Turning your Grandfather in law’s funeral into your personal runway? All kinds of Extra!

How can you look at this woman’s maniacal expressions, her half closed eye, her tonsils, her fake posh accent, her jazz hands and lobster claws, her piano recitals, and single white female-ing and not think Katie Holmes should do a one woman Broadway show called “Kate – A Life of Hormones, Duty, and No Drama”?

The opening scene should be Katie just sitting with a blank stare on her face trying to draw up a five question survey. Then fast forward to five years later and she’s on question 3 staring at Big Blue. The suspense!!! The what the fuckery! DRAMA!!

This bitch is so extra John Leguizamo would call her Miss Lily White Superior.

  50. Saucy&Sassy says:

Interesting. I don’t think they’ve quite grasped the concept that although there may be a very small percentage in the US who are pro Wails, the more significant percentage are Meghan haters. That’s only if you leave out the pro Sussex percentage. Then you have all of the people who don’t give a rip.

Wails and duty, huh? Well, they have to say something. I’m just surprised that they didn’t include that she never puts a foot wrong. Perhaps that will be the next article.

  51. HeatherC says:

Puts duty before herself, huh? Then explain how, for 2022, she has lower “work” numbers than an elderly lady that died in September?

  52. Lizzie says:

Keen puts a camera before herself.

  53. QuiteContrary says:

Yeah so dutiful and reserved—exactly the qualities that came to mind when we saw her photo shoot at Philip’s funeral.

  54. j.ferber says:

Oh, please. I suppose the Disney villainess photos from Philip’s funeral count as evidence that she doesn’t like diva drama and attention? What bull. And the only duty she understands is the tax on luxury items brought home from her many luxury vacations abroad. Tell me a lie a thousand times and I still won’t believe it.

  55. VegasSchmegas says:

So, it’s opposites day again at the palace.

  56. SourcesclosetoKate says:

Did she take an entire page of the newspaper to say she doesn’t do drama?? I know Kate wants us all to move on from her misdeeds, but sorry Kate we’re not ready yet and these little aggravating tidbits makes me think maybe we’ll never be. Anyway I swear it, that close up of her large mouth I can see a tonsil stone, gross!

  57. TrophySalami says:

I like the outfit. the color really goes with the color of her hair

  58. Qatar2 says:

No one has commented yet on the cold sore on her lip? Wonder which one of Willy’s side pieces donated that? Herpes: the gift that keeps on giving!
