When did Yara Shahidi change from a teen to a glamorous woman? She’s 23 and looks like a 90s supermodel now. Yara was in a Gaultier gown featuring a superhero-like bodice that was a tribute to Lagerfeld’s embellished looks and a miniskirt with a train and front panel. This was one of my favorite looks last night.
Yung Miami definitely also stood out on the carpet and I didn’t know who she was until she did an interview with Diddy. Although Diddy admitted they were together when La La Anthony asked about it he said that they didn’t put labels on it. Give me a break! A short time after that she wiped some sweat off his face. Diddy said they were wearing his designs by Sean John although that dress is so awesome I find that hard to believe. I know it looks like she’s wearing a fancy version of the cone of shame but I like it! These looks are fun, costumey and on theme.
Erykah Badu was in white Marni and she had both a witchy look with a hat and a Cousin It look with fringe over her face. I preferred the Cousin It look.
Devon Aoki wore Jeremy Scott. He left Moschino about six weeks ago so I think he’s just designing as himself now. This is kind of boring for him. Remember when he made a burger dress for Katy Perry? The craftsmanship is gorgeous though.

Sometimes I genuinely cannot tell whether the person wearing the outfit is just uber gorgeous or if that’s actually a good look. I don’t know if I like Yara’s dress or if I’m just partial to her face.
Yara is gorgeous and she looks beautiful! After Cardi, she was my fave look. She did that honey!
I have adored her since Butter. See it if you haven’t. She is gorgeous but she always looks amazing on the red carpet. She has a wonderful sense of style that never overpowers her. She seems the embodiment of Coco Chanel’s essential quote: “Dress shabbily and they notice the dress. Dress impeccably and they notice the woman”. Which is truly fitting for last evening as the theme was Karl.
All these people look ridiculous.

COMPLETELY agree with you – I feel the same way about Zendaya. Both Z and Yara are out of this world gorgeous and have the figure to pull off mouldy driftwood. Both women are incredibly slim as well so poor fitting is rarely an issue (which usually is an obvious sign of a bad design).
Whilst both women routinely slay it on the carpet, I do think that their stylists miss the mark sometimes – it’s just both are so beautiful and have such great presence, it elevates a mediocre design. I think this dress on Yara is one of those times.
