Royalist: Prince William is ‘above petty moves’ as he pathetically wages ‘war’ with Harry

Tom Sykes at the Daily Beast has yet another psychotic Royalist column about Prince William’s desperate, pathetic, one-sided war with his brother. Sykes starts by giving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex begrudging, seething credit for all of their great coverage in Germany for Invictus, then pivots to William’s desperation to be included in every Sussex newscycle, especially the Sussexes’ photocall with NATO high command. Sykes also conveniently ignores the most important part of the Telegraph piece this week, which was a reference to veterans viewing the Windsors as too petty, short-sighted and immature to actually show any kind of support towards Britain’s Invictus competitors. Some highlights, and keep in mind, all of this is coming directly from Kensington Palace:

The Sussexes’ NATO meeting: But it’s not all fun and froth; telegraphing that they still intend to remain politically active, the couple staged a meeting and photocall on the fringes of the Games with NATO joint force commander General Luigi Miglietta and other NATO chiefs and their families. According to some, this was an attempt to blunt the impact of William’s planned meetings at the UN next week during his high-profile New York trip.

How King Charles feels: There is also hope among some of the king’s friends that a happy Harry might be a less troublesome Harry. One friend of the king’s told The Daily Beast: “Of course Charles wants the attacks on him and his family to stop. If Harry has once again got a purpose in his life that makes him think twice about attacking him, even if it is only because that image is not good for Invictus, that can only be a good thing for everyone.”

War as usual: William, however, is perhaps less optimistic that Harry’s renewed focus on good works is a panacea for all that ails the royals. Indeed, for the two brothers it has been very much “war as usual” over the past seven days, after Harry overshadowed William’s official act of remembrance for the queen (by turning up unexpectedly at St George’s Chapel) and William then overshadowed Harry’s Invictus launch by releasing a film of an unprecedented hour-long conversation between himself, Kate and aunt Anne for a popular sports podcast fronted by his cousin Zara’s husband, Mike Tindall.

This is genuinely idiotic & false: On Thursday, just before Harry and Meghan’s big NATO photocall came out, William and Kate cooked food around a campfire at a forest school focused on teaching kids about conservation. Lovely pictures, and if you were a picture editor, which royal would you put on the front page: William and Kate toasting marshmallows with some cute kids, or Harry and Meghan with a stuffed shirt military general?

William is above petty moves, you guys: One friend of William’s told The Daily Beast that William was above “petty moves” such as putting out a video to deliberately scotch his brother’s big moment. They said it was just an accident of timing that the Rugby World Cup, in support of which the video podcast was recorded, began on the same day as the Invictus Games. However they added, “The reality is William can click his fingers and organize a fireside chat at Windsor Castle to bring impact to his causes. Harry can’t do that stuff anymore, but that’s the inevitable consequence of his choice to leave the royal family. William is the heir to the throne and Harry is a just a private individual without that access. That’s what he wanted.”

The Windsors are being called out for not supporting wounded warriors: However friends of William’s and the king’s dismissed this argument as naïve. A friend of William’s said: “It would be a huge distraction if William were to start sending messages of support to Invictus. Of course he supports wounded veterans, but I don’t think anyone seriously thinks it would be a good idea for him to start sending telegrams to the competitors.” The friend of the king’s made a similar point, saying that Charles wouldn’t want to “distract attention” and was “incredibly proud” of Harry’s work with Invictus and that Harry knew that. Neither Kensington Palace or Buckingham Palace responded to requests for comment on if their principals supported the Invictus Games.

[From The Daily Beast]

The whole twisted-pretzel logic of “it looks bad for HARRY and INVICTUS that the Windsors won’t acknowledge the Invictus veterans” is pretty wild, as is William’s now open contempt for anything and anyone associated with Harry (up to and including veterans). William is a 41 year old man who is literally too stupid, angry and childish to simply do the diplomatic thing. Literally, a tweet of support, a palace spokesperson saying “of course the Prince of Wales is rooting for Team Britain.” William is too busy organizing sad-sack photo-ops with sheep and bragging about how HE could organize a fireside chat if he wanted to. Meanwhile, Harry is literally meeting with NATO high command, and NATO sent a 1100-person delegation to Invictus. William’s version of “one-upping Harry” is crying to Mike Bloomberg and throwing a national tantrum about how HE is the “global statesman.”

  1. Blujfly says:

Sykes lent more credibility to the rumors of William cheating on Kate than anyone – he wrote an entire column about hearing the rumors from the daughter of an earl long before it hit the press. It’s clear that he’s now been completely co-opted by a William source. Given the crassness of the “friend of William” I wouldn’t be surprised for a minute if it’s Tindall himself.

    • Gossipgirl says:

William is clearly in a panic. I notice Matt Foster (CNN) tweeted an interview he did with William’s staff. I can imagine William is calling up everybody he can in the USA to make sure his trip is high profile. I wonder how many people are actually taking his calls? USA is different from UK so next week will be interesting, to say the least.

      • notasugarhere says:

CNN is owned by right-wing rabid drumpfer John C. Malone. No surprise they’re propping up William.

    • A Guest says:

I have long suspected Mike Tindell of being one of the main “sources” for the tabloids in exchange for them not reporting on his activities.

    • Missskitttin says:

Sounds so much like Tindall making $ on the side from this news tidbits….
But what is more newsworthy? Stages fake bonfire or NATO meeting…?

      • Mrs.Krabapple says:

“Fake” bonfire?! There isn’t ANY bonfire! Look at the supposed “marshmallows” the kids have on their sticks, they’re really pre-cooked potato wedges! They probably had large trays of pre-cooked foods for the kids, and some genius working for William decided to stick some of those potato wedges onto barbecue sticks, then made the kids sit down with their sticks for a photo op in front of a non-existent fire.

William and Kate are really bad with pretending to work. Remember when Kate posed with a telephone, pen in hand, and a bunch of empty papers, at a desk that clearly was never used as a work desk? I think this non-existent fire and potato-wedges-in-place-of-marshmallows beats the “Kate CEO” pic, imho.

      • BayTampaBay says:

“However they added, “The reality is William can click his fingers and organize a fireside chat at Windsor Castle to bring impact to his causes.”

Then “clicking his fingers” is exactly what Peggington needs to do much more often because he is not accomplishing anything for his causes doing what he is currently doing.

      • Kake says:

@Mrs.Krabapple the cover stories for the “roasting marshmallows” have dropped. The originally empty sticks given were quickly filled with apple slices sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Now KopyKeeen has a new snack idea. The pixs at the pro-royal sites are hysterical and their fans are calling them out.

    • Mary Pester says:

Omg can these odious get any worst at so called “reporting” someone needs to find Sykes a quiet dark room before he permanently damages himself with all this fact twisting
Look, they are pig sick with jealousy over the success of Invictus, they hate the fact that Harry doesnt care anymore what the Royals do, Harry and Megan have left them for dust, and Harry hasn’t spoken about his family since spare, so obviously idiocy is a necessary trait for all rota rats. Yes Billy, you go toast your marshsllows, but judging by the expression on that little boys face, one of two things is going on, either you’ve nicked his or yours (like your reputation) is burning and turning to dust.

    • Emme says:

That first photo……Willy looks like he’s saying “That smell came from HER! “

  2. Jais says:

I’m sorry but fireside chat sent me😂

    • Lorelei says:

      Same, @Jais! ☠️

    • Miranda says:

Are we sure that “fireside chat” isn’t just a posh British term for a cross burning? This is William we’re talking about, after all.

      • Eurydice says:

“Fireside chat” was the name of a series of radio programs President Franklin Roosevelt did in the 1930’s and 40’s. First Will attaches himself to Kennedy and now to Roosevelt?

      • Jaded says:

The Fireside Chats were hugely successful at keeping the public informed and generating some hope going through the depression, the banking crisis, the 1936 recession, New Deal initiatives, and WWII. Willnot’s reach is not exceeding his grasp simply by comparing himself with true statesmen. He’s just making a fool of himself.

      • Debbie says:

Well, we were told William was “modern.” Franklin Roosevelt, huh?

    • ArtHistorian says:

Same, as if a fireside chat with William is even in the same league as meetings with the NATO High Command. Completely delusional.

Also, royals as official members of a monarchy can’t really be global statespersons since their official brief is being ceremonial. They are NOT supposed to deal in politics either on the national or the global level. So not neither Charles nor William will ever be global statesmen because that’s not what their roles are. Charles is the ceremonial Head of State, he reigns but does not rule (i.e. govern) and William will be the same after Charles dies. He needs to quit this particular delusion and be content with the insane amount of privilege and money he has and is going to get.

Also he is just too stupid to a global anything, unless it is as a global clown.

      • kirk says:

Willy trying hard to ‘global statesperson’ one-up his little brother. I see where Tom Sykes compatriot Jack Royston reports at Newsweek that “Prince William scores win in Harry and Meghan rivalry” because he’s managed to invite José Andrés, of World Central Kitchen “as one of several high-profile guests at his Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit in New York on September 19.” Apparently he’s hosting a panel discussion on something, but the article’s point is that Willy has now staked a claim on Andrés. Also Royston highlights Jacinda Arden who was “courted by the Sussexes” is a trustee of Willy’s egoeco project. Then he goes on to parse the Kennedy family into Willy-Harry factions. Whole lotta nuthin goin on with Willy AFAICT other than the same old royals’ use of America for wealth extraction.

      • bisynaptic says:

Pretty sure that “Head of State” means “stateman”. It means different things in different countries, some will be bad at it—as the Windsors are—but it’s “statesman”, all the same.

      • MelodyM says:

Have the so called journalists forgotten that Harry & Meghan have supported World Central Kitchen in a big way thru Archwell, plus M has a recipe in the cookbook that’s just come out? So there’s no ‘score to win’. Dumba$$es! SMH

    • Becks1 says:

I would love to see video of a “fireside chat” at Windsor with William and a NATO commander. The commander would probably have this expression of “what the hell is he talking about” as william drones on and on about the time he was a part time co pilot on a helicopter bc he was trying to avoid royal work.

      • notasugarhere says:

Or where William drones on about how war doesn’t happen in Europe.

Or he drones on about ‘Africans’ having too many children while NATO is trying to convince all member countries of the African Union to avoid ties to war-mongering Russia and China.

Even worse than when he spent his precious few minutes with President Obama babbling about baby genitalia.

Or complaining to a group of diplomats about how they can see into his bedroom at KP.

Or when he visited an ‘elephant sanctuary’ in China which was a front for elephant abuse. He was told about it ahead of time – in a public newspaper article – but went anyway.

The William f’ups on the global stage are adding up, no?

      • BayTampaBay says:

@nota – “with President Obama babbling about baby genitalia”

I have not heard about this one but spit coffee all over my keyboard when I read your post.

    • Em-oh-en says:

      Yes… I always sit by a campfire in a blazer ….

      • Christine says:

What the hell do those poor prop children have on their little sticks? Apple slices? Those aren’t marshmallows.

      • Lucky Charm says:

Campfire 》fire 》blaze 》blazer. Just another occasion for theme dressing, lol

  3. Lau says:

“The reality is William can click his fingers and organize a fireside chat at Windsor Castle to bring impact to his causes.”
Can anybody who has actually listened to that podcast episode tell me which of his causes he talked about ? I’m being almost serious on this one because I want to know and the daily fail made it sound like he was just “winking” at his wife and they were talking about their children with the same usual words.

  4. This article should say Peg is petty and that why would you put a picture of him roasting marshmallows on the front page. Also Peg would stage a stunt like giving a speech to nobody near the UN. The projection will always tell us the truth but with Peg and Harry’s names reversed. This guy is so stupid.

  5. Brassy Rebel says:

William: I’m heir to the throne. You’re just some random dude who is beloved and respected by everyone he meets, including NATO generals. So there!

    • ShazBot says:

I’m going to keep harping on this but ever since watching the count of monte cristo and seeing mondego yell “I’m not supposed to want to be you!” it’s literally all I hear whenever William does anything to “compete” with Harry. There is no help for that man.

  6. Plums says:

This is so pathetic, omg. Harry is literally just doing his thing and living his life and being successful and not talking about the Windsors or anything royal family at all, and this psycho is briefing everyone in the British media about how he’s the most important, most special and adored one and winning the PR war he’s absolutely not waging on his brother because he’s totally above that.

    • Lux says:

They are SO upset that articles written about Harry, Megs, and Invictus do not mention the Windsors, and yet every Windsor event mentions Harry and Meghan. If we switch out “causes” with “oneupmanship” things start to make sense.

Ie. William can click his fingers and organize a PR extravaganza where young actors are forced to be in his company in front of a fake fire, and yet, his paper towns collapse from the force of Invictus cheers. Harry doesn’t need to click his fingers—it’s not magic and it doesn’t work like that. The things he wants to do take time, work, and logistics in order to see it grow from seed to fruit. Cannot believe they’re comparing a fake campfire with Invictus.

Also, Peg needs to click his fingers more often, if work for him is so easy. He’s lazy even if you literally hand him a magic wand/spectre.

  7. MsIam says:

Sykes and co. wish it were true that Harry no longer has any influence and that people are falling all over themselves to meet William.

  8. Sunshine says:

He needs to fire his ENTIRE staff, including the assistant he’s married to.

    • Christine says:

I agree. Given that he is never going to get any better at this, it’s time to hire competent professionals to really pile on the BS in a form that doesn’t read as abject desperation.

  9. SarahCS says:

It’s a repetitive point but 10/10 for photo choice yet again. The header pic is a thing of beauty and the child knows exactly what’s going on with the two weird adults.

  10. Rapunzel says:

“William is the heir to the throne and Harry is a just a private individual without that access. That’s what he wanted.”

Bull. Sh*t. Harry wanted to remain. He and his driven to suicial thoughts wife were willing to stay. All they wanted was freedom from the harassment of the press, and freedom from having to beg for scraps financially. The family would not give that. They drove him, and Meg, away.

I’m going to need this rewrite of history to stop.

    • Jensa says:

Also, in terms of “access”, Harry seems to be doing significantly better than PW. Do they think we can’t see this?

    • Debbie says:

If William is so proud of being the heir to the British throne, if he’s satisfied with that, then why has he been stalking the Sussexes all week? Why does he tend to follow them by making trips to the U.S. when nobody, and I mean nobody, invites him? This sure is a funny way for the Windsors to “ignore” Invictus, like they said they were going to do.

  11. Slush says:

This is all just about entitlement. Williams whole life has revolved around himself because he is an heir. He did nothing to earn it, but he is entitled to all the attention, all the money, all the houses, all the boot licking- all of that just because he won the birth lottery

So now that he’s not the center of attention, he does not know what to do, because he never had to work to be the center of attention. He just WAS.

He could easily do what Harry does- he is the one with the royal organizations power after all. But he just won’t. So now Harry has stolen his thunder and all he knows to do it bitch about it.

    • WHAT says:

      All day this SLUSH

Why 🤔 are you now wanting to be seen as a global leader when you have known since birth your future role in the firm?

Why 🤔 are you and your assistant still shining light on organizations and learning your role?

Why 🤔 are there no actions? Just what we want you to think we are instead of you dealing with the reality you’ll always be nowhere in the league of harry and Meghan. They don’t need to click there 🤌 and have staff summon the rota for talking points while sitting on the couch 🛋️

Brands, designers and celebrities, influential people are calling harry and Meghan🚫 the other way around.

The work they’re putting in speaks for itself 🚫 Photoshop, Photo-ops, 🚫 narratives only believed in Britain and the conservative maga groups of the US and Australia among others

Make no mistakes Harry and Meghan roll up their sleeves literally and the proof is always behind the hard work that is being put in. 🚫 Work that’s being spoken about and never will see the light of day

  12. MSTJ says:

The clout chasing will not end. One is mediocre (William) one is outstanding (Harry). The royal tabloids will continue to project a narrative to embellish the mediocre one’s credentials by clout chasing the outstanding one’s credentials.

I noticed Charles’ people also got a jab in to diminish Harry’s connection to the IG. Their royal sycophants will feed on the fiction and continue to be more deluded in their fantasy regarding royals being superior to all others. 🤷‍♀️

Meanwhile Harry is free and thriving with is wife and children in a community, in a country with people that embrace them. 🙌

  13. s808 says:

“Lovely pictures, and if you were a picture editor, which royal would you put on the front page: William and Kate toasting marshmallows with some cute kids, or Harry and Meghan with a stuffed shirt military general?”

Well you see where the international coverage is at.

“The reality is William can click his fingers and organize a fireside chat at Windsor Castle to bring impact to his causes. Harry can’t do that stuff anymore,”

A campfire chat talking about a bunch of NOTHING and nobody paid attention to it. Oh yeah, that’s the life alright.

Tom is starting to sound like Dan Wooten and camp KP is so obviously bothered by Harry it’s hilarious at this point. All I can is laugh.

  14. equality says:

This slant always annoys the snot out of me: “Of course Charles wants the attacks on him and his family to stop.” He doesn’t mind when it’s H&M (members of his family) who are being attacked by the BM. Here’s an idea for the “picture editor”: put some of the UK’s wounded veterans who are performing well at IG on your cover.

    • Brassy Rebel says:

No one is attacking him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      • Becks1 says:

Harry hasn’t said one word about his family as far as I can tell since Spare came out and that promotion ended.

      • kirk says:

According to Katie Nicholl writing in Vanity Fair, “Royal correspondent for German network ZDF, Ulrike Grunewald…[said] Harry only agreed to the interview if he was not asked about his family. “The agreement was that he wasn’t going to talk about his family,” Grunewald said. “His whole attitude was ‘this is about them, the competitors.’”

Is Chuck’s hunger for publicity and relevance so keen that he manufactures “attacks” out of thin air? It will become more obvious in coming years because BRFCo principals are incapable of changing relationship dynamics that rely on hierarchical principle.

  15. kyliegirl says:

The funny thing is, all the “efforts” W&K put out this week only highlighted that they are dull and boring. Those poor kids at the fireside eating marshmallows looked absolutely miserable. It looked like they were doing some sort of social distancing thing. The wales in their tweed jackets looked so outdated compared to the fresh images of Harry and Meghan at the games. H&M are just focusing on doing what they are doing and getting it right. W&K seem like they are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks and it is landing like a dud. If William thinks he is going to get a king’s welcome in NYC, he is going to be disappointed. Even the RR are bored to death.

    • Minnieder says:

Plus Peg looks miserable in most of them, like he knows how embarrassing this is; H and M loved by the world, doing important things, meeting important people. Peg and Keen-awkwardly posing with sheep and getting side-eyed by random children.

    • ArtHistorian says:

Harry and Meghan are both naturally charismatic – and it is just something you are. It can’t be taught. They are stars – and William and Kate are not. They are very uncharismatic and downright awkward ( and sometimes condescending) in their interactions with people.

People react well to Harry and Meghan because they are genuine and charismatic. Some people just have that undefinable something that make them stars on a broad stage.

    • Deering24 says:

One could make a massive coffee-table book from shots of miserable-kids-forced-to-do-W&K-photo-ops alone. 🤣

  16. Laura D says:

“””Lovely pictures, and if you were a picture editor, which royal would you put on the front page: William and Kate toasting marshmallows with some cute kids, or Harry and Meghan with a stuffed shirt military general?”””

Wow! Where to begin? There is so much misinformation and downright lies in this article, I find it hard to believe anyone (apart from the most deranged de-ranger) is taking it seriously. However, the quote above has confirmed to the whole world the true purpose of W&K’s visits. They’ve actually allowed it to be put it in print their visits are nothing more than publicity shots for PR!

The “stuffed shirt military general” part of the quote just made me lol! William would give his hind teeth to have a photo-op with a senior NATO officer. Let’s just wait and see what the headlines are when he meets the dignitaries at the UN. It wouldn’t surprise me if he tries to find a General (any General) to have a photo with. SMH

    • Lilly (with the double-L) says:

Yes to this. Same. Some things just make me chuckle that are trying to be cutting. Too obvious. I figured Sykes was quiet like the rest of the English media on Invictus… then this. There’s another royalist writer isn’t there? Who is more journalistic? But DB knows their majority readers I imagine. 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • BQM says:

Well, thanks to Sen tommy Tuberville he won’t be able to find any US generals. (Exaggeration of course but for those who don’t know, Tuberville is holding up military promotions over the military covering travel expenses for military and dependents who need an abortion and have to travel out of state to find one due to the anti choice laws in a state. Hundreds of officer promotions are on including multiple combat commands and the HEADS of the army, navy and marine corps. It’ll take YEARS to undo the damage.)

    • Lucky Charm says:

Maybe the General from the insurance company would like to meet him hahaha.

  17. TheWigletOfWails says:

The Peg they claim can click his fingers and organize a fireside chat is the very same one who complained about celebrities declining to support his mental health initiative..I just have to laugh.

  18. Honey says:

I think we all know and understand that the only way to stay truly relevant is for the BRF (specifically, W & K) and the journalists (employment) who cover them is to hitch their wagon to Harry & Meghan. However, from a realistic POV, why in the F would H & M care what W & K do on a day-to-day basis. It’s so mundane & trivial. This war is definitely one-sided and that’s coming from the BRF.

Last thing: Charles’ family = isn’t Harry still part of that.

  19. Amy Bee says:

This is the most I’ve seen William and Kate work in the UK. There’s no doubt that they were put out to work in an attempt to overshadow Harry but it didn’t work. Maybe next time, they will be less obvious with their pettiness and desperation.

    • notasugarhere says:

They weren’t ‘put out to work’, W&K made this choice themselves. If Charles had a say in their whiplash idiocy? W&K would shut their lips, do 500 bread and butter engagements EACH per year, and stop their public one-sided competition with Harry and Meghan.

  20. Eurydice says:

Yes, it would be weird if Will started sending telegrams to the competitors – who sends telegrams nowadays? But it wouldn’t be weird if he just posted one message to all the competitors.

Too funny about what a picture editor would choose. No need to wonder, Mr. Sykes – just look at any news site.

    • Jensa says:

Yes the reference to “telegrams” (from a friend of PW) is hilarious and unintentionally revealing. He’s surrounded by people who are about an century out of touch.

    • Becks1 says:

On the Daily Mail’s main page, they list separately Biden, Trump, economy, Charles, Harry and then Meghan….no sign of TOB or Kate of Wales or whatever.

      • BQM says:

They’ve done that for years. It was the Queen, Charles, Harry and Meghan. Separately! Not even just the Sussexes. I always laughed over it.

      • Lucky Charm says:

That “Kate of Wales or whatever” makes me giggle like a schoolgirl every time I see that!

  21. Becks1 says:

Harry is literally just living his life and working on things that matter to him, while William rants and raves. The things that matter to william – number of engagements a year – dont matter to Harry, making a difference matters to Harry.

William’s ranting and raving about how he’s “overshadowing” harry and invictus is just……pathetic, mean-spirited, small-minded, and immature. He may really think he’s doing something with these articles, but he’s not.

PS but if number of engagements did matter, I feel like Harry has put in more public appearances this week than William has all year, hahahahaha.

  22. Layla says:

“Of course he supports the wounded veterans” which will be clearly evident in two months time when he cosplays as a toy soldier
*cue footage of Prince keen other brother standing in his military cosplay, as a distant cry of “I let you have Veteranssssss!” can be heard in the background alongside the eerily sound of hands banging on the walls*

  23. Harper says:

Sykes has to be trolling about these pictures being lovely and a no-brainer for the photo editors. Kate looks like she had no idea she was supposed to be on this photo call today. Her wig looks limp and deflated and she is seriously missing Chris Jackson’s photoshop magic. The last thing Kate wants is these un-retouched photos blown up above the fold while gorgeous close-up photos of the eternally youthful Princess Amira are flooding social media.

  24. robinathefirst says:

This would be sad if it weren’t so f–king hilarious.

  25. AnneL says:

LOL who are the Windsors or their sycophants to mock anyone else for being a “stuffed shirt general?” These people load themselves down with chocolate medals and strut around in full military cosplay every chance they get. They LOVE stuffed shirts!

  26. Islandgirl says:

One thing – that chat with Tindall did not overshadow the launch of invictus. William, his unofficial PR, Tom Sykes and his ‘friends’ are totally delusional.
I believe that they are trying to get people to go watch the chat by mentioning it in the same article that refers to Harry and Invictus lol.

  27. ArtFossil says:

Want to brighten your day? Take a look at the video Twitter user Aboutdre3 made contrasting the activities of Harry and Meghan with those of William and Kate. It’s hilarious! (Especially William trying to cut a twig wearing safety goggles and gardening gloves. And what 40 year old does not even know how to use a saw?)

    • Digital Unicorn says:

I saw that clip – Mumbles was trolling him by asking if he was doing it right and he didn’t look pleased.

    • TangerineTree says:

@ArtFossil The music to the video tho, LOL!!
Oh, so much comedy today! Between the photos and comments by Kaiser and and links CBers are posting today, I can’t stop laughing : )
And nobody – not a soul! – talks about William in the
US. This Tom Sykes article is hilarious! I only know what TOB is up to bc of this site.

  28. Susie says:

It’s always sad to see how becoming Sussex unhinged leads a person to mimicking North Korean style propaganda. Sykes used to be one of the few royal journalists that had a clear eyed view of the monarchy and the royals. Now he’s become another pathetic stenographer. In the past he would have printed what the “friend” told him then point out that the papers have never kicked Harry off the front page for Will or even Kate. Even that quiet visit to mourn the queen took over all the coverage of the royals that day. It was the first and largest image with the W+K visit to church underneath and half the size.

Plus what does he mean Harry doesn’t have access anymore. Archetypes and the spare interviews recently showed that the Sussexes can snap their fingers and get high level ppl. Mariah is not doing podcasts for everyone like that. And she did it for fun she didn’t have anything to promote at the time. The Susssexs really cause people to expose themselves. Not just their racism but also their ignorance of how media things work. Sykes has been working in American media for over a decade and he still acts likes he thinks South Park is the most popular show ever and a barometer for American public opinion

  29. MSTJ says:

Harry is outstanding, William is mediocre. End of story.

William will be in Harry’s shadows for the rest of his life. That’s the reality regardless of how the tabloids/British media try to uplift William in their sycophantic hit pieces. Regular people know and understand the reality. There is a memoir and a docuseries from Harry that pulled back the curtains for the public to understand the invisible contract and know the truth.

  30. Feebee says:

Aaaaah, what’s with the “fireside chat” bit? He snaps his fingers and that’s the best he can do? His wife, his aunt and her son-in-law with his two podcast mates? OMG the power he has to get Princess Anne to do something associated with a Patronage of hers that she’s quite fond of.

Stuffed shirt military general? Well that’s just rude. As for which picture the papers would run, I was genuinely stumped. You’d think one over the other but it would depend on their angle and how mad they wanted to make Willy.

We should ultimately excuse Willy’s grumpiness this time. Poor thing must be exhausted from all the work he’s had to do this week. Out and about how many times? Oh well, a nice wee break will be in order shortly.

  31. Vanessa says:

William and Kate are so above being petty that Kate has copy Meghan all white outfit and has alway copy Meghan all black look . William has been seen all over the place this week for the first time since he drove his uncle to church suddenly William is doing a podcast taking selfie with black people and 11 years old . The Wales are not petty but they have the attack dogs and their Karen’s fans attacking Meghan and Harry the veterans. This two do nothing have done more events in past week when they literally disappeared for two months and no one even knew when they were .

  32. Aj says:

They wore dressy sports blazers to a campfire. They are so out of touch.

  33. Over it says:

Tom Sykes and wank are too pathetic for words. That can all go cry themselves to sleep over the fact that Harry and Meghan are loved and respected and they aren’t .

  34. Eating Popcorn says:

William is important and Harry isn’t, so there… says journo. That’s all I got…

  35. Sunny O says:

The anti Harry and Meghan bias is strong in Tom Sykes.

  36. Saucy&Sassy says:

Wow, the first picture where the two of them are leaning AWAY from each other is very telling. The one where they are walking/standing beside each other, and Kant is crossing her arms? Yeah, I can tell that they have a solid marriage.

Tom Sykes needs to think about how he wants to be viewed and what he wants his reputation to be. I would think that tarnishing his reputation with this type of article is something he wouldn’t do, but here we are.

  37. Wannabefarmer says:

Are they still on that tired narrative about Harry attacking ‘his family’. WHEN was the last time Harry mentioned them? When? Good heavens. Are their readers that daft? Or is it now ANYthing Harry does is an attack because he should have just gotten a job at burger king and kept quiet?

  38. tamsin says:

I’m pretty sure stuffed shirt NATO generals don’t read Sykes’s column. Sheesh.

  39. AC says:

I hardly read the Daily Beast as Tom Sykes has been so bias trying to kiss Williams a$$. The one and only article that I agreed with him was during HM South Pacific tour a couple years ago . With the tones of that specific article, he was in a way hinting, Harry and Meghan is becoming so successful that it’s going to trigger envy with the rest of the BRF. After that, it’s obvious he’s become anti HM.
So nothing new for me from this writer.

  40. bisynaptic says:

“The reality is William can click his fingers and organize a fireside chat at Windsor Castle to bring impact to his causes.“

    • kelleybelle says:

How, HOW do they write such rot with a straight face? Jesus …
Th DM and Will are losing their tiny little minds over Invictus, lol.

  41. SURE says:

I guess TS forgot about W’s petty (and extraordinarily cruel) Flybe stunt.

  42. kelleybelle says:

Petty, childish moves are all that William is capable of. The end.

  43. Jenjen says:

Williams “friend” shouldn’t use big words like reality he clearly doesn’t understand! Perhaps he missed that little get together Harry just threw in Germany😂 Harry is pretty gifted at bringing attention to his causes as well. Their stupidity is breathtaking.

  44. Jenjen says:

I slept so well last night. I had visions of “Late Kate “ seething over Meghan’s flawless photos dancing in my head! I giggled myself to sleep
