It’s been a hot minute since we’ve checked in on Gavin Rossdale. He was single as of last June, giving introspective interviews and talking about using his negative dating experiences to monetize his pain. Before that, Gavin was maybe dating a then-26-old Instagram influencer named Gwen Singer, heh. Fun fact: if you Google just her name, almost all of the first page results are for that other Gwen in Rossdale’s life. Anyway, before Singer, Gavin’s longtime post-Gwen (Stefani) girlfriend, then-29-year old Sophia Thomalla left him for a younger man. So many 20-somethings, so much heartbreak.
Well, Gavin now has a new girlfriend. The 58-year-old singer went Instagram official with his new lady friend, 35-year-old Albanian pop singer Xhoana X. (According to the Internet, Xhoana is pronounced “Zo-ah-na.”) Xhoana’s birthday was last week, on February 27, so Gavin made his birthday post their social debut. Even though Gavin and Stefani have been divorced for almost a decade now, commenters couldn’t help but point out his new girlfriend’s resemblance to his ex-wife.
Gavin Rossdale just went Instagram official with his new girlfriend, and his followers can’t help but notice how much she resembles his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani. The former Bush frontman hard-launched his relationship on Instagram Friday, March 1, while sharing a selfie alongside his girlfriend, Albanian pop singer Xhoana X, in honor of her birthday.
“Hey finally got to have a birthday dinner with my girl @xhoana_x,” Rossdale, 58, captioned the pic, which depicted him smiling for the camera while dining out with Xhoana, whose bleach-blond hair was pulled up into a top knot for the outing.
“Here’s to a year filled with magic for you 🖤,” he added in Friday’s post.
But after seeing the photo, many fans went straight to the comments to address the elephant in the room: that Xhoana’s look is notably similar to that of Rossdale’s former wife, Stefani, 54.
“We’re all thinking it, right?” one person wrote under the post, while another comment read, “Not me running to the comments to see if I’m the only one that thought it was Gwen at first glance.”
“For 2 seconds there, I thought that was Gwen lol. He certainly has a type,” someone else chimed in.
Others spoke out in defense of Rossdale, with one person calling it “disrespectful” to bring up his ex-wife while he is trying to celebrate his new relationship.
“Wow. Yall are really ruining this birthday shout out. 🫣,” another user noted.
I mean, two things can be true here. The first is that Xhoana may indeed have a strong resemblance to Gwen. Let’s face it, in that particular picture, she is, at the very least, Gwen-coded in terms of being a blonde singer wearing a top knot bun with impeccable eyebrows and gorgeous cheekbones. Honestly, I’ve seen some pictures of Xhoana with her hair down, and to me, she looks more like a younger, blonde Angelina Jolie. I scrolled through her Instagram and in some pictures, she’s a dead ringer for Angie. I also noticed that Xhoana started posting pictures with Gavin on her Instagram about 11 weeks ago.
The second thing that can be true is that while people pointing it out is fair game – this a public figure posting something on the Internet, after all – it can also be rude and in poor taste to do it underneath a post about celebrating her birthday. But who knows? Maybe she finds all of the comparisons to be flattering. It didn’t bother either of them enough for him to turn the comments off. As far as their age difference goes, I’m just going to throw it out there that Xhoana is exactly one month younger than Gavin’s daughter, Daisy Lowe. Anyway, I hope they had a lovely birthday evening together.

I mean, congrats, and godspeed to them both. She looks about 16 years of age, never in a million years would I have guessed this is a 35-year-old woman. That’s all I got, honestly.
I’ve been a fan of Bush for years…Gavin not so much. But his gf does look like Angelina Jolie when she has brunette hair. She’s gorgeous.

Same, LBB. She has light eyes instead of brown, so depending on the photographic angle she looks a lot like Gwen or like Angelina. He doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to treating his partner well, so I hope she’s prepared to do what’s best for her if he hasn’t changed his ways.
How is the woman he posted the same as the woman in other pics? Is it photoshop, make up? It is weird how different she looks in that photo, maybe poor lightening? Anyway, I will never get over how he cheated on Gwen with nanny who tried to look like Gwen with her hair & clothes. Maybe, this is his type: a woman who looks like Gwen but younger 🤮.

She’s very very pretty and yes you can see the references to Angelina and Gwen both depending on the pic. But it’s also a very generic prettiness for Eastern Europe that is all over Instagram and, err, certain types of ads.
I think she’s very pretty. I don’t see too much of a resemblance to Gwen aside from the hair, pale skin and red lips. Also, LOVE the little pooch!

Her love for makeup is definitely like Gwen Stefani’s. I can see why people would point out a resemblance, even if it’s only partial or superficial. My takeaway: Gavin Rossdale likes women who wear a lot of makeup.
