One of the best parts of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan docuseries is that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave people an extensive look at their 2018 wedding. There were tons of never-before-seen photos behind-the-scenes at the Windsor wedding, the reception at Windsor Castle, and the big party at Frogmore House. Well, for the Sussexes’ eighth wedding anniversary, today, Meghan posted even more photos on her Instagram!!
Some of these we had glimpses of in the Netflix series, but many of the photos from Windsor Castle and St. George’s Cathedral are new-to-us. Given all of the bullsh-t and sabotage attempts, it’s remarkable how Harry and Meghan stayed so centered, and centered on each other, on their wedding day. I mean, Harry kept his eyes trained on Meghan the whole day. Meghan was so calm! I would have slapped the sh-t out of like half of Harry’s family, Three Stooges-style, as I walked down the aisle. But Meghan has grace and class.
Anyway, a lovely way to celebrate a wedding anniversary. While I’m loath to compare-and-contrast with the other couple, this is what people actually want to see from a public couple on their anniversary – some cute wedding pics, maybe a nice couple photo. For Prince William and Kate’s anniversary last month, they gave people that extremely weird family photo which even made royal commentators uncomfortable.

It’s just nice to see photos of two people in love who actually like each other. W&Ks wedding looked like two strangers forced into an arranged marriage. People will lie and say that the heir cannot be so demonstrative, but go look at photos of all the other European heirs at their weddings. None of them look as uncomfortable as William did.
I remember Prince Carl Philip of Sweden said something along the lines of “It’s her or no one” about his bride to be, and that’s the kind of energy we’re looking for.
I don’t feel bad for Kate often, but man, William seems like the worst prince to have bagged.

Great to see the photos! Besides bronze, clematis is the 8th anniversary flower. If I remember correctly, Meghan had a clematis named for her while she was in the UK. Wouldn’t it be neat if that clematis were planted somewhere in their Montecito garden for this anniversary.

My fave pic is the one of Harry looking closely at Meghan’s bouquet, while Meghan points out one of the flowers and tells him about it. It’s so moving to me that Harry was so interested in everything about Meghan on the day he even wanted to know more about her bouquet!!!

Oh my gosh, this is so precious…. 🙂 Absolutely LOVE them. And you really can’t fake love like that. My mother always says “It’s the little things that matter” – the big things you see right away, but the daily little things that pop up, that you will have to live with, THOSE are things you should be looking at.

These really are some great photos and these two have some incredible chemistry. Talk about kissy face 😘. Harry gave Meghan such a nice anniversary present and was nice to see them chilling in the house, eating cake, in that notorious Olive Garden kitchen with their kids.
