Duchess Meghan will be interviewed on Good Morning America on Monday

The Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex visit the Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen out and about in LA on Thursday, in photos published on Friday/Saturday. Of course, we already saw them volunteering with Project Angel Food (which they did last Wednesday), but now paparazzi caught a glimpse of them walking their two dogs, the rescue beagle Guy and a black dog whose name we do not know. You can see the photos below, at the Daily Mail:

I was concerned that Meghan and Harry’s secret location might have been discovered by the paparazzi, but from the looks of it, I think the paps maybe trailed their “Porsche SUV.” Or maybe they went to a higher traffic area to walk their dogs and that’s how they were discovered. I’m actually pretty impressed that they managed to stay in complete lockdown (without being spotted once) for a full month in LA, before last week’s rash of public sightings. It’s almost as if… Meghan and Harry got into the groove of quarantine life and they’ve decided to make some slow moves back into the public sphere. It feels like many people are doing that, actually. In Meghan’s case, she’s really going to re-enter the public sphere on Monday: she’ll do her first “post-royal” interview with Good Morning America, apparently to publicize her Disney documentary Elephant.

The Duchess of Sussex will give her first TV interview since stepping down as a senior working member of the royal family and relocating back to Los Angeles with husband Prince Harry and baby son Archie. Meghan will appear on Good Morning America on Monday alongside her friend, and GMA host Gayle King, to discuss the Disney documentary, Elephant, which she provided voiceover work for. In a clip shared on Instagram, a preview of the segment gives fans a glimpse at Meghan as she sits down with Gayle. “On GMA Monday, Meghan Markle with an exclusive first look at the Disney documentary Elephant,” a voice-over says over the clip.

Meghan recorded the voiceover for Disneynature’s new film in autumn 2019, after being approached by the filmmakers, Mark and Vanessa Berlowitz, earlier in the summer. Meghan had been aware of the film for some time and had seen some of the footage taken over a few years, so the team thought she would be a good fit for the narration given her passion for the subject.

The Duchess signed the voiceover deal in return for a donation to wildlife charity, Elephants Without Borders. A trailer for Elephant revealed that it “follows one family’s extraordinary 1,000-mile journey across Africa on an adventure that will change their lives.” The film is available for streaming on Disney+ now, and you’ll be able to get seven days of the streaming service free when you sign up.

[From Hello]

True story: Gayle King is actually the morning show anchor on CBS, not ABC (ABC airs Good Morning America). Robin Roberts is the co-anchor of Good Morning America. Black women are not interchangeable, Hello Magazine. But thanks for playing. While Hello got that wrong, it is true that Meghan will be interviewed on GMA. And while I imagine the interview will be promotion for the Disney film, come on, of course Robin Roberts will ask Meghan some personal questions. I can’t wait!

  1. Aurora says:

The interview is from behind the scenes footage of “Elephant”. The network is being a bit misleading.

    • Ainsley7 says:

Even if she gave an interview, she’s not going to spill anything. She’s smart enough to see the backlash the BRF is getting without her having to say anything. Hinting at anything negative between her and the family would just feed the trolls.

    • Melissa says:

Aurora – that makes a bit more sense given travel restrictions and shows not going to studio ( I don’t know what GMA is currently doing ) but it will be fun to watch. There won’t be any tea spilt, but maybe some insight on future plans and projects.

      • Bettyrose says:

Presumably it would’ve been a zoom interview.

      • Melissa says:

I’m sure it will be if it’s an actual on screen interview, just as I’m sure the camera angle will be correct 🤣.

Even if it’s just behind the scenes footage, who doesn’t want more elephants!

    • Sofia says:

ABC showed a clip so it’s 1000000% NOT going to be a live interview

      • bettyrose says:

Would’ve been cool though. There’s really no clear end date to the shutdown in California, so maybe we’ll see an online interview eventually – about their work in LA I mean. I don’t think they ever need to talk about the personal stuff, but it would be fascinating to see them talk about their new endeavors. Frankly, we’re bored and for better or worse they have the public’s interest (as well has having the public’s best interests at heart).

    • Anonymous says:

GMA having all these people waking up expecting royal tea only to learn what Jomo’s favorite grass is.

      • panda says:

        Thanks for the chuckle.

      • songbirds_thrive says:

        LOL For sure!

And that reference to Gayle King being the GMA host was so dumb. I guess Hello partially made the mistake because Gayle has become friendly with Meghan since the royal wedding. I don’t sense that Gayle is a close insider friend of Meghan’s though. The relationship comes via Gayle’s longstanding friendship with Oprah, if anything. And even Oprah is more of a V.I.P. acquaintance of M&H, if anything.

Gayle King FWIW is a big honcho at CBS these days. The GMA connection for doing this Elephant promotion is likely due to the fact that Disney is part of the ABC family. As well, RR Omid Scobie is a correspondent for GMA, along with the work he does for Harper’s Bazaar.

  2. YT says:

Good for her! Should be interesting if it is hopefully more than behind the scenes footage from the documentary.

Do you think William and Kate will be fearfully watching? LOL

    • Mia says:

@YT: of course they will so they can copy and do their own interview LOL

    • Mumbles says:

I’m not sure what they have to fear. Fear of looking lazy (which I readily admit they are)? Sure, maybe, but that has absolutely no bearing on the fact that they’ll be king and queen. It’s just how it’s been for 1000 years. They’re not going to lose their “job” or status.

      • YT says:

They aren’t good a earning respect, and that isn’t a given with their future-future jobs.

  3. Rae says:

I’m looking forward to it. Mostly because I loathe this idea that both her and Harry need to shut up and disappear, even when all they’re doing in promoting a worthy cause.

Elephants was a lovely production, with huge props to the crew who filmed this, so I hope this highlights their achievements even more.

I will have a pack of sweet popcorn at the ready, to be enjoyed whilst waiting for the inevitable wailing from A certain set to quiet down.

    • L4frimaire says:

@Rae, agree. They’re not in witness protection. About a week ago some columnists were like “where’s Harry, what’s he doing for the UK, all they want is to hang out with A listers”. Now stalkers like Angela Levin are, “well they should be here in Britain if they want to help“. Man the crazies are swarming. The IG page of Project AngelFood is being filed with hateful messages from trolls and it seems the British tabloid media are freaking out. Glad they’re not shying away and being visible, raising money and promoting their projects. It’s called working from home, which is how a lot of people still lucky to have their jobs are doing. They even have to get up super early to connect with their UK colleagues. How pathetic can you be when people walking a dog or making charitable food deliveries, is a major scoop that needs to be spun at all. P.s. Elephants was really good. At times, my youngest couldn’t handle it, like the scene with the lions. Became so invested in the elephants personalities and their journey.

      • DarlingDiana says:

This “can’t win” coverage is silly. Right now, they are doing what they can to to help Americans because they are, in fact, in America. Harry is doing his Zooms with UK organizations to help as well. They stepped back, and probably eventually out, so they could leave England and do these things.

      • songbirds_thrive says:

        @L4frimaire said:
“… Now stalkers like Angela Levin are, ‘well they should be here in Britain if they want to help.’

Levin’s full tweet was worse than that, and it was totally derogatory toward Meghan, no surprise. Levin is absolutely pathological in her aberrant behavior and comments. She needs help. She thinks she owns Harry, or something, simply because she had the random good luck to gain access to him a number of years ago to write a trivial biography.

  4. girl_ninja says:

Honestly I look forward to hearing from a Royal who does actual work and doesn’t just pose for photos at her desk.

Maybe they could speak with Princess Sofia too.

  5. Becks1 says:

I’m excited for this, even if it was an interview recorded a while ago – the past week has been a good start for them in terms of establishing their new lives as non-senior-royals. They’ve proved they’re still going to work with their causes (not abandoning any patronage or anything) and they’re just going to live their lives. I bet its a very different thing to deal with negative coverage from the Daily Mail when you don’t have to interact with those reporters at every engagement.

    • ArtHistorian says:

I think getting out from under the Royal Rota was a HUGE factor in them wanting to step back as senior royals. I think they wanted to continue representing the Queen but without being trapped in a toxic working environment – because, let’s face it, having continually to interact with the very people that smear your good name is a toxic environment. Not that I don’t think that there was a lot of toxicity behind the scenes because I bet there was, especially from senior royal staff who got their noses out of joint by an American wanting to do things her way, instead of meekly being to what to do.

I really do think that circumventing the Royal Rota was the main reason for them wanting step down as senior royals, eschewing funding from the Sovereign Grant. Sadly, they were forced to exit completely.

      • Becks1 says:

I think you’re right. I think there was/is a lot of bad blood in that family, but I think getting away from the rota would have helped them to escape it to a certain extent. You don’t have to work with the same reporters who are dragging your name while covering your brother’s affair.

      • ABritGuest says:

Yes they said they didn’t want to be funded by the sovereign grant so the gossiping media couldn’t use public interest as an excuse for invasive reporting eg publishing her letter to her father. Probably one way they were trying to get around the grifting father who made clear he would keep selling her out.

And they didn’t want the exclusive arrangement with the abusive rota. As they cover their engagements they then claim themselves as experts on them so are given credibility when they publish lies like how they plan to raise their child.

Its interesting to see the contrast in reports by non rota outlets on this weeks volunteering& Feeding Britain donation news (ps the donation was generated from BBC profits from international exploitation of the wedding coverage that was to be designated to Harry& Meghan’s charity foundation so was kind of their money) as generally just laying out facts and without snark whereas same reports in a rota outlet like the Fail or the Sun would have an angle (usually negative) to influence readers.

      • ArtHistorian says:

I do think that there is bad blood in the family, particularly between the brothers but I also think that Charles and the Queen tried to ameliorate the situation by giving the Sussexes their own staff and office at BP so they got out from under KP’s thumb. A lot of the leaking did dry up after that move. However, for some reason it was absolutely non-negotiable for them to circumvent the Rota.

      • Mary says:

We know this because it is what the Sussexes have said but their motives get warped by the Royal reporters. Palmer was just crowing on Twitter about the Sussexes being papped notwithstanding their trying to “control” the media. No Palmer, they just did not want to be forced to deal with you.

      • Becks1 says:

@Mary – we know that’s what the Sussexes said, but since the initial announcement there has been a lot of other speculation about the role the family played in it as well (because I don’t think this move was “solely” about the rota.)

@ArtHistorian – its weird about it being so nonnegotiable bc I don’t think Anne uses the rota. That’s why there are significantly fewer pictures of her engagements.

My guess is they made this move to escape the RRs and in the process learned some information about the family that made moving to LA a lot more appealing than it may have been a year ago.

      • Mary says:

@Becks1, I was responding to what I believed was an unnecessary deduction. I did not mean to indicate that it was the only reason for Sussexit. I do believe, however, that many of the other reasons for their departure are tied to or stem from the Royal family’s twisted relationship with the Royal Rota. Had the Sussexes been able to circumvent the Rota would they still be working Royals? Possibly. Most certainly if they had support from the Royals. Why no support? They kowtow to the Rota and the Sussexes dared to file a lawsuit. The Rota was non-negotiable, imo, because the RF wanted the Sussexes gone.

    • Agree Becks1 and ArtHistorian —- I think wanting to get away from RR was a deal breaker because the RR have countless stories they could run on royals (especially William and Charles), but have agreed to suppress because of the RR exclusive deal with the Firm. It used to just be called blackmail, bit now I guess it’s called Equid Pro Quo. The Sussexes weren’t willing to play ball with the deal, so The Firm had to protect itself and sh-tcan them. I also love how media rushes their stories out so fast they don’t bother to fact check the simplist fact. As Kaiser pointed out it’s ABC not CBS and black women are not interchangeable. HELLO wanted to shade Meghan and her relationship with her friend, Gayle King. I also enjoy the Royal Rota deciding something about the Sussexes and then constantly running it as fact: The reports of the dog walking sighting keep referring to the black lab being called OZ, when they don’t have a clue what the dog’s name is. They made that up and of thin air several months ago and because there was no actual denial the RR keep using it. I think the Sussexes probably have a big laugh every time the RR refer to their lab as OZ.

  6. panda says:

There’s no reason they should be hiding away. The paps will find them no matter what.

    • Kimber says:

I don’t see H/M doing any tell-all interview or book until they find out their ‘fate’ after the year review. If they are still rebuffed and kept from doing the job they want to do then I see them opening that door. Also the lawsuit should hopefully be finished by then as well.

      • DarlingDiana says:

Agree. After the year is up and depending on whether or not they have become financially independent by then will be deciding factors in any “tell-all” interview. Without financial independence it would not be wise and they are. Not waiting for the review year to be done would be jumping the gun too. All of that said I am not convinced that they will ever do tell-all about the family. That will depend on Harry and if he decides to completely cut ties with his family for good. A generalized interview about how unhappy they were in England and feeling limited by their status as royals, which they were, and the “can’t win” with the press is more likely imo.

  7. bamaborn says:

Will have my tea ready! Thank you, Duchess.

  8. Noki says:

At this point they have just decided to do what the hell they want to do, Daily Fail comments fail to realize the difference between wanting to live without being abused by the RRs and living in total isolation.

    • yinyang says:

If Dailyfail had any integrity they would monitor their comments about Meghan better, I’m all about free speech but that comes with consquence. Anything that is a blantant lie, take that off there, they’ll probably get more readership that way. Right now there is only the same angry woman congregating there.

  9. Babsorig says:

I just cant wait. I’m not expecting anything socking from this interview. Even if its something done a while back, Meghan has been, still is and will always be a class act that will never embarrass anyone, not even Harry’s horrible family or Meghan’s own despicable sorry excuse of a father. RR actually interviewed prince Harry and FLOTUS MO in 2016 so her and Harry know each other already and I think that relationship is what got her this interview. Plus, of course, because RR is very respectful person IMVHO. https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/robin-roberts-exclusive-interview-2016-invictus-games-prince-38977220

  10. Talie says:

I they they are making the right moves right now – when they are photo’d they always have face masks on and were again pictured delivering food. Of course the British press will always find a way to crap on them, but even they can’t put this down too much. Helping is helping.

    • Tessa says:

Their critics on blogs trash them no matter what. They bring food and are still trashed for “attention seeking.”

    • MaryContrary says:

There was some stupid commentary about them looking like they’re “living in a rom com.” Yes, because delivering food or walking your dog during a fricking global pandemic with your husband is so romantic. I mean, WTF.

      • SomeChick says:

That’s just jealousy over their obvious love for one another. Living in a pandemic with a baby is not exactly rom com material. Those people live in a fantasy world.

Altho I am sure someone is already writing a romcom script that takes place now.

  11. Harla says:

I can’t wait to watch this!!! Personally, I think the interview will revolve around this wonderful documentary with a few personal tidbits, like they are enjoying the sunny weather, Archie is starting to walk, very small insights. If they ever decide to tell their side of the story in regards to them leaving the RF, I believe that they’ll do it together as a team.

  12. Suzy says:

It’s definitely true people are coming to terms with the fact that this the new normal, and we have to get on with life (as safely as possible). While I previously thought it was better for them to stay quiet and hidden, I appreciate that they’ve come out recently to support important causes and that they’re not letting the UK media control their lives. I genuinely wish the very best for them, and will be tuning in tomorrow.

  13. Yoyo says:

ABC = Disney, Bob Iger is back at Disney after stepping down briefly.
The Dailyfail is so funny, the body language expert (???) talking about the Sussexes body language, funny they don’t hire her to analyze Cain and Unable.
The new sound bite from the BM, is Harry and Meghan are celebrities, and the Paparazzi will be following all the time, sounds like sour grapes, and they’re running with this spiel, that the Sussexes wanted privacy, no the Sussexes wanted the British Media to stop lying about them and all their isms about Meghan.
LOL at the BM, did they really think Meghan was going to LA and have vapours.

    • Yeah and in the last week the RR story went from:
      1. Meghan to get S1 million for tell all interview —- to,
      2. Meghan officially told not to give interview —— to,
      3. Meghan interview on Monday with Gayle King —— !
The Royal Rota just chases their tails constantly when it comes to getting anything right about the Sussexes. And, of course, the RR can’t accept that it is them the Sussexes want nothing to do with, so they constantly run with their 2 favorite themes:
      1. Sussexes are constantly fleeing…..and
      2. Sussexes are constantly hiding from ALL press.

      • Sofia says:

They can never stick to a narrative.

The Sussexes are paparazzi obsessed and they love the attention or they’re hiding away and running away.

        Which is it?

    • Babsorig says:

@Yoyo, I’m not sure what you aiming at here but, regardless of who owns Disney and BI being back at Disney, the documentary and duchess Meg’s narrative of it had absolutely nothing to do with BI. It was an arrangement and subsequent deal between duchess Meghan and the writers and producers of the film. And I’m willing to bet that the interview is more to promote the document itself (which is part of the job for every single production out there) and is related to RR’s connection with prince Harry than it is about prince harry’s friendship with BI; my belief of course.

      • Yoyo says:

No all I’m saying is ABC is owned by Disney.
I’m not inferring anything about Iger, I just threw in that he stepped down for a few weeks and then returned, which is unusual.
Everyone knows the producer writer or Director asked Meghan to narrate the film, Harry is who told Iger that Meghan was tracking a film.

  14. Kiitypride says:

    Looking forward to the interview.

Also if anyone has 10 could you report comments on Project Angel Food’s IG? Trolls are all over the place.

    • Sid says:

The comments on the Project Angel Food IG are unreal. It is one thing to spew bile on your own forum. Whatever. But to harass a charity like that? These people are unhinged.

      • Mia says:

there has to be a way this trolls and vipers in the press can be sued for lies. They are trying to mess with these charities donations.

      • Belli says:

Sending hate to a charity should be a real “look at your life, look at your choices” moment.

    • Charfromdarock says:

Thanks for the idea. I just reported a bunch of comments

I’m laughing though at the supporters calling the trolls Karens. Fitting.

  15. Sofia says:

Let me make it clear before the daily fail trolls who are recently trying to infect the site come in.

It’s probably gonna be a “director’s commentary” esque interview except Meghan is not the director and I don’t think it’s going to be running commentary. Probably just some tidbits about working on Elephant, what it was like recording and maybe a few throw away sentences on Archie and Harry.

But nothing on the rest of the BRF. So if any of you were hoping for tea to be spilt, you’ll be disappointed.

    • Becks1 says:

There definitely wont be any tea spilt, but I still think it will be fun to see her.

      • Sofia says:

@Becks: Don’t get me wrong! Can’t wait to see her talk again but if anyone is going to watch this thinking tea will be spilt then you may get disappointed

    • ABritGuest says:

Yes think it will be BTS look at how she got involved in the narration, talking about the charity benefiting from the donation, probably clip of her in the studio. Doubt much personal& def not on the BRF.

And yes Kitty Pride saw that people are trolling Project Angel. I get not liking Meghan but this hatred to extent you troll charities she’s worked with is something else. I guess they need somewhere to spew their venom now SussexRoyal’s comment section is closed: Apparently there was a comment (since deleted& reported) that Archie should be in a cage until Harry& Meghan are brought to heel. Disturbing

      • Sofia says:

That is so disturbing. I hope these people are on a watchlist somewhere

      • Prayer Warrior says:

Keep Archie in a cage like they are keeping refuge families’ children? Separated from their parents? This is the new MO of who the Untied States will be forever, unless they change their current president, because he approves that message

  16. AGreatDane says:

Harry and Meghan ARE celebrities now, who cares what some stuffy British newspapers think? They’re in America now, where being popular is not a crime or a game of Chutes n Ladders. Stay pressed, British press.

    • Bella says:

      deleted

    • Anonymous says:

The British royal family falls under the category of celebrities. The BM need to stop pretending they aren’t.

      • Nic919 says:

Correct. They are all celebrities including the queen. They aren’t known for their skills or talents but for who they are. That’s the very definition of a celebrity.

  17. Jumpingthesnark says:

She has to fulfill the same expectations from the workplace that any other actor would have to do. Part of the job is promoting the film once it is finished. And she is getting that work done. Good for her, it will raise more money for the elephant charity.

    • Melissa says:

Given the lock downs and home schooling, all of the streaming services have seen huge uptick in subscriptions, this also serves as good PR for educational content available on Disney plus. Win-Win for parents and the elephants.

  18. Bella says:

I hope we get to see it here in the UK. Please post a link if you can. I will make sure I watch the “making of” documentary, which is also streaming on Disney+, beforehand.

  19. YT says:

I don’t see Harry or Meghan spilling any BRF tea for a long time when they could save it all for a book.

    • Jaded says:

Wow, gorgeous – I love it when Michelle Obama lets her hair go natural too.

    • paddingtonjr says:

Whether with sleek or naturally curly hair, Meghan is beautiful!

    • songbirds_thrive says:

@AnnaKist, anyone who’s been following Meghan for long enough would have already known that her hair is naturally curly — no need to speculate. Meghan is already on record stating in a print interview that when she was a child growing up, she always wanted to have straight hair. She began straightening her hair during her latter years in high school. I’m pretty sure she also had a slight nose job around the same time.

I’ve already seen that teenaged picture of Meghan with her long curly locks. It’s not new to people who’ve been following Meghan at least since the 2016 reveal that she and Harry were dating. That’s when the tabloid media began harassing/enticing Meg’s friends and family for old pictures. There’s also a very cute four-year-old picture of Meghan with thick curly hair, which was provided to DM by Meghan’s Uncle Joseph (Doria’s half brother):

  20. kellebelle says:

The couple that was “irrelevant” and constantly criticized is still being stalked and photographed by The Fail? Laughable.

    • Jaded says:

Did you see the headline in the Fail today about Harry?

“LA-based Prince Harry is blasted for claiming UK’s coronavirus crisis is ‘better than we are led to believe’ by media: ‘Unqualified’ Duke’s comments branded ‘outrageous’ by health experts who say he ‘deserted his country in hour of need’ ”

It was clearly a dig at the media and I guess it hurt their widdle feelings.

      • Scandi says:

But WHY did he say that? It was equally as tone deaf as William’s joke. The situation i the UK and Europe is CRAZY… thousands of people are in dispair – dying, the NHs is under a huge pressure…. the death number in the Uk varies between 500-1000 PER DAY! Who is he to say that the situation isn’t that bad at all?

      • Lady D says:

Did he actually say that? If this info is only coming from the DM it’s most suspect.

      • MsIam says:

It’s my understanding that he was talking about some fundraiser and how the media don’t report enough about things like that, only the bad things. It’s on a podcast, I guess you can find the link and listen to it yourself.

      • Olenna says:

MsIam, thank you. I also recommend going to the Declassified Podcast directly and hearing what he said. No one but the tabloids and red tops are taking his words out of context. He was also talking about the human spirit and basically the morale of everyone, i.e., the British, in isolation. His words on this are near the end.

      • Yoyo says:

You have to hear the interview, he was talking about volunteering. It’s on Twitter a military podcast.

      • Sid says:

Scandi, please listen to the podcast to hear Harry’s comment properly, not filtered through the Fail. It is nothing like what William said.

      • Scandi says:

Sid: please don´t tell me what to do. I have listened to the podcast, and I still found his this particular bit cringeworthy and better unsaid.

As far as I am concerned, the media hasn´t been reporting ´especially bad things´ about either the human spirit (Harry mentioned human spirit in the interview) or people that are volunteering or raising money for Covid-19 or the NHS (Tom Moore). Every media outlet has praised Tom Moore for raising more than 20 million pounds. And if you look at the general media coverage, it is mostly based on the horrific situation with sky high death numbers (these are true), unemployment (there is sky high unemployment in every european country) and critical articles about the governmental handling of Covid-19 around in Europe (there is a valid reason to write these articles). The situation IS BAD.

So what isn´t so bad after all?

      • Ed says:

        I will say no Scandi

  21. Gigi says:

She is not a Duchess anymore!

    • Jaded says:

Uhh…yes she is, both Harry and Meghan will retain their titles.

    • Chimney says:

Why do people think this? I’ve been seeing “they’re not royal/ she’s not a duchess” pushed more and more. She’s a duchess that’s never changed

      • rawiya says:

People think this because Harry and Meghan decided to not USE their HRH. People read “not use HRH” and took it to mean “are no longer HRH”. If they wanted to, they could tomorrow tell everyone to refer to them as HRH the Duke/Duchess of Sussex and they’d be in the right, as they still have all of their titles.

      • Jaded says:

VS – that’s pretty harsh. People make mistakes, it’s not the end of the world or a reason to get so salty.

      • VS says:

@Jaded ——— you are right; I don’t think it was a mistake but I should not sink to their level………like I said, I’ll never as nice as Meghan is. I cannot stand idiots or those who just troll

      • Jaded says:

@VS – understood and appreciated but I’d like to believe it was simply a case of Gigi not knowing the facts.

      • Gigi says:

@VS, Am sure Meghan will be very proud of you for defending her against strangers on the internet, you are very brave! P.S. I stand by my previous comment,

      • VS says:

@Gigi —— thanks for confirming my first impression of you!!!

@Jaded —— I think I was right; it was another one of those trolls with nothing better to do with their life

      • Gigi says:

@VS Haha nice try! Am sure you are one of those guys paid by Meghan $1to defend her online. Which country are you in by he way? Nice job

      • Ed says:

        I will say no Gigi

    • MsIam says:

Why did you come on here and say this? When the statement from Buckingham palace said she and Harry are still Duke and Duchess? Do you think we will believe you? Huh?

    • Lizzie says:

She is still HRH too. Have a safe and lovely Sunday.

    • Anonymous says:

But she is, Gigi the Troll.

    • Jaded says:

@Gigi – According to a statement issued by Harry and Meghan’s communications secretary on their official website, they will retain their titles His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but they will not actively use them “as they will no longer be working members of the family as of Spring 2020″ …Feb 22, 2020.

      @VS – whatever.

      Stay safe and healthy everyone.

I bet right now the BRF is afraid tomorrow’s interview will be Diana x 10, that Meghan will drag the Windsors by naming names, staff included. They are probably afraid it’s payback for the Fail story that Meghan clashed with BP staff.
They are probably plotting a pre-emptive strike, that the family didn’t get a heads up about the interview. Whatever. I hope the Rotten Rota are super salty because if they weren’t so hellbent in smearing Meghan with the help of palace snitches and embittered relatives they would have exclusive interviews like GMA and the Evening Standard. Smart to go to the Standard to show her beef is not with all the British media.

    • Sofia says:

I don’t think she’ll give a Diana like interview. At all.

It’s probably just a way of promoting Elephant. I don’t think anything on the BRF is going to be released

I know people want tea to be spilled but I don’t think it’s going to happen

      • DarlingDiana says:

        Agree.

      • yinyang says:

I agree Sophie, I’m sure Dailyfail will dissect everything she says, but knowing Meghan, she’ll just talk about the movie. As a person who’s been working since 15, she’ll be proffessional.

    • Jaded says:

Meghan has far too much class and integrity to sink to that level. As wonderful a person as Diana was, she was emotionally unstable and made some huge errors in judgement when she decided to tell all. She’ll discuss her Elephant work, maybe a few other philanthropic plans she and Harry are working on, and that’s that.

      • SomeChick says:

Diana was deeply hurt and had been put through the wringer. That would make anyone “emotionally unstable.”

Integrity and “class” – what does that word, “class” mean, really? It refers to aristocracy and being like them. Not something I would aspire to, given how we’ve seen they really behave.

I truly loathe seeing “emotionally unstable” flung around when a woman is genuinely upset because REASONS. It’s a page from the Harvey Weinstein playbook. Abuse her until she can’t take it any more and then smear her for objecting.

        No.

Diana was sold a bill of goods, and tormented by the Firm and the press. And then attacked and abused more for trying to stand up for herself.

I went through a divorce, when I’d thought my marriage really was supposed to be a life commitment. It was incredibly upsetting. I cried a lot. I Said Things. By that metric, I’m “emotionally unstable” too. (And by extension, apparently I too lack integrity and class.) No, I was hurt. By those closest to me. It was not an unreasonable reaction.

Let’s just stop with this phrase. Please.

      • Jaded says:

@SomeChick – “class” does not mean aristocracy these days, it means a person who is poised, graceful, mature, possesses excellent self-control, is gentle, soothing, and unoffensive. That is Meghan. Diana did great work and was selfless in promoting causes that nobody else would touch. However, throwing herself down a flight of stairs when she was 4 months pregnant, going on national TV to discuss her estranged husband’s affair, calling her ex-boyfriend Oliver Hoare obsessively, etc. shows a certain amount of emotional instability. Diana was royal-adjacent all her life. She knew what she was getting into and molded herself into someone she thought Charles would fall in love with – i.e saying she loved riding and hunting when, in fact, she loathed it.

I’ve been through a divorce as well but it has nothing to do with my opinions on this matter. My ex also tried to belittle me as emotionally unstable because I’d had a hysterectomy and my “hormones were out of whack” when, in fact, he’d been having an affair for some time. However THAT has NOTHING to do with the opinions I express about Meghan and Diana.

The BRF is loathsome and as a result they lost 2 of the best and “classiest” family members they could ever hope for. I really hope that once the Queen shuffles off this mortal coil that Charles streamlines the family down to a bare minimum and gets rid of his odious brother.

Finally, you need to calm down and if you have a difference of opinion, don’t go on the attack and attribute my thoughts to a Harvey Weinstein playbook, this site generally involves discussing or debating issues in a much more civilized and calm manner.

      • Thirtynine says:

SomeChick, I agree with you 100%, both about Diana, and the unfortunately all too common accusation by abusers that their victims are mentally or emtionally unstable if they resist or speak out.

      • Some chick says:

I am totally calm. But I am also sick and tired of women being belittled as being “emotionally unstable” when they have legit reasons to be upset.

Especially when women apply it to other women.

Diana was screwed over seven ways to Sunday. Charles and Camilla knew what time it was, going in. She did not. But she’s the emotionally unstable one. Right.

It’s not just a page from the Weinstein playbook. The word “hysterical” was invented to mean “crazy woman.” Please, let’s just stop doing this to each other.

This is not an unreasonable thing to consider.

      • Ed says:

        Not at all some chick

    • Bella says:

It’s just a chat about making it, with clips. Would have been done months ago. Normal marketing.

    • HMC says:

I think they’re afraid ANY interview may be a “Diana like” interview.

  23. Awkward symphony says:

I cant wait to see it but we wont get anything new. It’ll probably just be questions about the charity and how she got involved in the project. Perhaps we might hear about Archie’s reaction to a sneak peek but that’s all I think they’ll discuss

  24. Lizzie says:

Looking forward to it. I don’t think either Meghan or Harry plan a tell all interview ever, but to be realistic they would get a huge advance on a book deal and not spill all in a network morning show interview.
That said it would be a hoot if she came out and said ‘ PW is not to be trusted and I’ve never met anyone as stuck up as Kate . ‘.

  25. L4frimaire says:

I think it’s a prerecorded interview from around the time she did the narration. Her face looks chubbier than it has recently.
