Gossip wise, things have been quiet on the Pete Davidson dating front for a while now. After a string of relationships with women like Ariana Grande, Margaret Qualley, Kim Kardashian, Chase Sui Wonders and even Kate Beckinsale (remember that random news cycle?!), Pete took an extended break from the public eye. He went to rehab, made a TV show, started working out, and is in the process of getting his tattoos removed. The last time we heard about Pete’s love life, it was in fall 2023 when his reps confirmed that he was dating actress Madelyn Cline.
About a week or so ago, there were rumors that Pete was dating someone new. All that was known was that she was “not a celebrity.” Well, now Pete’s new girlfriend has been revealed to be Elsie Hewitt. Elsie is a model who’s also been linked to Jason Sudeikis and Ryan Phillippe. They were even papped while on vacay together in Palm Beach this past weekend.
Pete Davidson has a new love in his life. The Saturday Night Live alum, 31, is dating model Elsie Hewitt, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The pair were seen enjoying a romantic beach getaway over the weekend.
Davidson was photographed packing on the PDA with Hewitt, 29, in Palm Beach over the weekend in photos first obtained by The Daily Mail. In the pictures, the comedian couldn’t keep his hands off the model as they kissed and held hands on the beach.
He even carried her while they took a dip in the ocean, and at one point, cameras captured them touching tongues as they went in for more kisses.
A rep for Davidson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Davidson’s new relationship status comes after his July breakup from Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline, who PEOPLE confirmed he was dating in September 2023. The pair kept things very lowkey during their 10 months together, though Cline, 27, was by his side at the afterparty following his SNL hosting gig in October 2023. A source told PEOPLE they were “very lovey” and “very cute” at the party, “but they kept to themselves.”
Prior to Cline, Davidson was linked to actress Chase Sui Wonders, who he dated for less than a year in 2023. He and Wonders split in August 2023, a source confirmed at the time.
Hewitt — whose identity was first reported by Page Six — was most recently linked to Jason Sudeikis. She has also previously been connected to Benny Blanco and Ryan Phillippe.Davidson recently opened up about how he’s struggled with the scrutiny over his dating life over the years, as he told Page Six last month that attention was “pretty humiliating and upsetting.”
“Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood,” he said, referencing the dating lives of his peers including Paul Mescal, Timothée Chalamet and Barry Keoghan. “But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like, five years and it made my life a living hell.”
He continued, “It’s embarrassing because you want people to write about your work. I was one of the youngest-ever cast members on SNL and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating.”
Davidson said he’s had “some pretty adult relationships with some pretty amazing women” and that his breakups tend to be drama-free. “When it’s ended, it’s been cool.”
The comedian’s candid comments echoed what a source told PEOPLE in October, which was that Davidson is “still friends with pretty much all his exes.”
“Nothing bad happened between him and Madelyn. It just ran its course,” the source said. “He’s a good guy and they root for him.”
Elsie dated Ryan Phillippe in 2017, when he was 43 and she was 21. She got a protective order against him, sought medical care and filed a civil suit after an attack she says took place when she tried to retreive her belongings from his place. She was most recently linked to Jason Sudeikis, but it was much more under-the-radar, and hopefully that means healthy. Speaking of, I know it’s been pointed out before, but it says something that Pete is still friendly with most of his exes. I genuinely think that he is a good person who has just had a rough go of things, beginning with his father’s death on 9/11. I wish Pete nothing but the best, I really do. The pictures of them on vacation are super cute. It looks like they were enjoying each other’s company. Pete really does have a quality about him, doesn’t he? I hope he and Elsie are in a healthy relationship and that she’s a good influence on his continued sobriety and mental health.

He is so freaking sexy to me. I know, I’m weird. IDK what it is but he could get it all day, every day. I totally see how he pulled Ari, Qualley, Kate Beckinsale, etc.

I mean no? Weird to me is anyone calling him ugly. Like, he’s not conventionally handsome but many dudes in Hollywood are not and are still sexy AF.
What he said here just bums me out….hate that he calls himself ugly. He’s really tall, has a great physique, cute smile..and he’s funny AF. I just will never get the criticisms. He seems like a genuinely good, well-meaning, and unproblematic guy so please people go pick on any number of Hwood assholes instead–plenty to choose from.
I just think it’s too bad that he internalized that he was ugly. He’s not at all ugly.

My “weird” attraction is Adam Driver. I find that man unbelievably sexy.

I put Pete and Adam Driver in the same category of weird hot. They’re both my type.
Overall Pete seems like a kind person. He’s looking healthier too, those dark circles under his eyes that were so prominent are gone since his split from KK and stint in rehab/therapy.
He’s in a constant state of victim loop.
Love Pete! I just saw Riff Raff a few days ago and Pete’s acting really impressed me.

He’s working on it. It’s painful and takes time, so he’s not doing them all at once.
Age appropriate. No drama. This is nice. But I suspect the reason we aren’t seeing him settled with someone is what he’s very honest about, having borderline personality disorder. It’s great that he’s aware and working on it, but it’s still probably hard on his partners. So there’s amicable breakups. They stay friendly, but you have to protect your own emotional health too.
I wish him well, too, and the mom in me is looking at his shoulder looking a little red in one of those photos and hoping he didn’t get sunburned.
