Jonah Hill is married to Olivia Millar and they just had their second child

Jonah Hill’s last film, You People, came out in January 2023. His name is attached to a handful of projects as a producer, but he’s otherwise laid low since the fallout from his ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady’s allegations of emotional abuse that she backed up with text messages. At the time, Jonah had just welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, Olivia Millar.

Jonah’s back now, though. His latest film, Outcome comes out on Apple TV+ in Friday, April 10. It stars Keanu Reeves in the main role, and has a huge supporting cast that includes Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, and Martin Scorsese. As a part of Outcome’s promotion, Jonah sat down with Scorsese for a piece in Interview Magazine. During their chat, Jonah causally dropped a big life update. He revealed that he and Millar are now married and they just had their second child.

Jonah Hill’s family has grown again!

The actor, 42, revealed in a new interview alongside Martin Scorsese for Interview Magazine that he is married to his longtime love, Olivia Millar, and the couple recently welcomed their second baby. A rep for Hill confirmed the news to PEOPLE, saying the actor is “happy.”

As Hill spoke with the legendary filmmaker, he shared that it takes a special type of project to separate him from his family.

“And I have two kids now. The only thing that could separate me from my family is the editing room,” he shared. “I love the writing, I love the shooting, but editing…it’s like dessert every day. Even the problems are dessert.”

Elsewhere in the article, Hill referred to Millar as his “wife,” seemingly confirming that the two are married.

“I was saying to my wife, ‘He’s seeing it over the weekend, so what if he hates it but already agreed to do it?’ ” Hill said, referring to his new movie Outcome, which premieres April 10 on Apple TV. Hill wrote, directed and starred in the film.

Hill and Millar, the daughter of 1980s top model Esmé Marshall, were first spotted spending time together in Santa Barbara in September 2022.

Then, in June 2023, Hill welcomed his first baby with Millar. A rep for the actor confirmed the news to PEOPLE at the time.

Congratulations to Jonah and Olivia. I hope they are happy and doing well as a family of four. Even before the 2023 drama, Jonah was pretty private about his personal life, so I’m not surprised we found out about his marriage and second baby through a nonchalant mention in a Scorsese interview. Just like with their first child, we don’t know the gender or name. I hope those kids get to live a quiet, anonymous life out of the spotlight. I also hope that Jonah has taken these last few years to really work on himself. If not for his own sake, then for his children’s. As for Outcome, I admit that the Keanu of it all has me very intrigued. Apple TV+ is one of the streamers that I still subscribe to, so I’ll probably end up watching it.

  1. I believed his ex-girlfriend and I too hope he’s worked on himself.

There are a lot of shows that people are and have been raving about, maybe I should get Apple TV…?

  2. Kitten says:

The ex brought the receipts. I remember the texts as being really terrible but after re-reading them he just comes across as emotionally manipulative, controlling, and insecure. Basically, he sounds like a terrible person to be in a relationship with. That being said, sometimes two people are just completely incompatible and when a relationship like that is forced, it quickly becomes toxic.

I didn’t read anything in those texts that made me feel like Jonah is incapable of changing so I really hope he has for his wife and kids’ sake. Sometimes relationships are just fundamentally bad and bring out the worst in us.

  3. Tis True, Tis True says:

Must confess I’d forgotten about that. Hill isn’t someone I really give much thought to. But it does give a twist to making a comedy about a beloved star who gets canceled and casting Keanu in the role.

  4. YankeeDoodles says:

I remember this story, and I remember bracing myself for some hideous stuff. And then… it was more garden variety don’t-be-an-idiot stuff. Like, he came across as vain, controlling, presumptuous, and patronising. Like being in a relationship was a status symbol. And she was denting his brand. Or something. But compared to the avalanche of awful stuff we’ve since been subjected to, he seems positively like a work in progress. ITA with another poster who noted some people are just not a good fit, they grind each other’s gears.

  5. Windy says:

I’ve thought about those hideous texts often as I tried to leave my marriage. They could have been written by my abusive ex husband. I like to think abusive partners can change by working on themselves but that’s incredibly rare. For Olivia and their children, I sincerely hope that’s the case with Jonah.

  6. Ameerah M says:

I will forever side-eye him. And I will forever remember how he weaponized both his therapist and therapist-speak against his ex.

    • ChillinginDC says:

Same. It was so bad. And I was like….ughhh. I am glad she got out and glad she called him out.

      • SarahCS says:

It was. It also seemed to spark something in a lot of people. I left a supporting comment on her IG and had people leaving snarky comments about being a sad lonely cat lady in return – my IG is 99% the cat, I just don’t feature my bf and either way so what? Weird retaliation.

    • Paleokifaru says:

This. I get tired of the nonsense that compared to other abuse it isn’t that bad. It’s what keeps victims quiet. And there are a lot of emotional/mental abusers who rely on this. They absolutely know that each isolated incident is likely to be excused away. That even a pattern is likely to be excused, bc they didn’t hit their partner, and they both sides it. It is so rare for these toxic folks to choose to change. They don’t think it’s their fault, and they have no accountability for any piece of it. It’s just a wild coincidence that they are never friends with their exes and somehow all of them are “crazy.” Nope, nope, nope.

      • Lucy says:

Thanks for saying that. I get tired of “it wasn’t THAT bad” too.

I ended a marriage after years of emotional abuse and it is that bad. It’s “formally diagnosed with PTSD” bad.

  7. Bean says:

A complete side note: Matt Bomer looks absolutely delicious in this photo.

  8. jferber says:

    Bean, hard agree.

  9. Marcia says:

I didn’t even know he was married let alone that he had kids. Just goes to show that a celebrity can keep his/her personal life private. If we know a lot about someone … it’s because he/she wants us to!
