Kylie Jenner’s former maid is suing her for harassment & discrimination

Given that the Kardashian-Jenners have been starring in their own reality shows for close to two decades, I’ve always wondered about the invisible labor that goes into keeping their homes and lives camera-ready constantly. I’ve always assumed that Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Khloe keep an army of household staff ready to clean, organize and look after the children. Kylie has lived on her own since she was a teenager, so how many maids, butlers and nannies does she have around her house at any given moment? It turns out, one of Kylie’s former maids is suing. The maid’s lawsuit is all about what she allegedly experienced while working for Kylie.

Kylie Jenner is being sued by her former housekeeper over allegations of harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination.

Angelica Vazquez filed a lawsuit against Jenner and two companies, Tri Star Services and Maison Family Services, on Friday, April 17, detailing her employment from September 2024 to August 2025, during which she claims she was “treated with hostility and exclusion” from day one, according to a complaint obtained by PEOPLE.

Jenner, 28, is not called out by name for any behavior in the filing, though she is listed as a defendant. A rep for Jenner did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Vazquez alleges in the filing that she was “subjected to severe and pervasive harassment” by fellow employees and the head housekeeper at Jenner’s Hidden Hills residence where she worked. She was “routinely assigned the most difficult and undesirable tasks; excluded from the housekeeping team; publicly belittled and humiliated in front of coworkers due to her race, national origin and religion; and subjected to intimidation and demeaning treatment,” the filing claims.

A “Salvadoran woman and a practicing Catholic,” Vazquez further claims that “repeated discriminatory and derogatory comments” were made towards her about her religion and immigration status, creating a “toxic and abusive work environment.”

Vazquez says no “corrective action” was taken and her “complaints were dismissed, mocked or ignored.” She also alleges things got “violent” in March 2025, according to the complaint, when “a supervisor threw hangers at [her] feet while reprimanding her.

She “developed anxiety, severe stress, and symptoms consistent with post-traumatic stress disorder” as a result of the alleged treatment, and she claims she suffered a “loss of wages” after the complaints she issued. Vazquez took medical leave in July 2025 and says in the complaint she “had no choice but to resign” the following month as “the working conditions had become intolerable.”

Vazquez is seeking punitive damages and restitution damages “in the form of unpaid wages, meal and rest period premium pay, unreimbursed business expenses, unpaid sick leave, and all other compensation unlawfully withheld.”

It sounds like this is less about how Kylie treated this woman and more about how the other maids, butlers and household staff treated Angelica Vazquez. Kylie isn’t hiring maids to work for her directly, she’s hired a maid service, and the service is then “responsible” for the work conditions and toxic environment. Still, it doesn’t sound like Kylie is a great boss if there’s all of this crazy drama happening in her house. How long do you think it will take Kris Jenner to clean up this mess?

Not a fan of the K’s but while Kylie isn’t the smartest, she seems like the most decent one. So, let’s see how this plays out.

Honestly not a fan of the Kardashian-Jenner clan at all, but this feels like a dispute with the maid service company more than Kylie. Lady wasn’t an employee of Kylie, she was probably a subcontractor with the maid company Kylie’s housekeeping service hired. I don’t know how much liability Kylie has here if any at all and don’t imagine she could name or pick any of the contracted service workers who maintain her residence out of a lineup if she was asked to. But her name attached does shine a spotlight on the parties who are at fault if this goes anywhere, and that’s probably the reason why she was included.
