We learned, two weeks back, that Peter Phillips had not invited Prince Harry to his June 6th wedding in the Cotswolds. As I said in this week’s Gossip with Celebitchy podcast, my vibe is still that Prince William and Kate’s wedding-melodrama brand is strong and that the Waleses pitched a fit at the idea of Peter even extending an invitation to Harry alone, or the Sussexes together. In any case, it’s been well established for weeks that no invitations were sent to Prince Harry and Meghan, big whoop. So tell me why the Telegraph’s Daily T podcast is called “Will Harry and Meghan make Peter Phillips’s big day?” My god – tell me the left-behinds are boring charisma-vacuums without telling me the left-behinds are boring charisma vacuums. Can’t even talk about the alleged “royal wedding of the year” without centering two people who got the hell out of there more than six years ago. It gets even worse – Camilla Tominey even suggested that Meghan would send some jam for the wedding.
So, that should tell you how the royalist industrial complex is trying to hype Peter’s wedding. By making it all about Harry and Meghan. Who, by the way, have not said one word about Peter or the wedding.
There was another story circulating about this subject, with sources saying that Harry was disappointed that Peter didn’t even send an invitation. But those same sources also blame Prince William, with one source saying: “Harry says he’s 100% sure William is the reason that he’s been getting the cold shoulder from Peter. He says it’s obvious William has pressured Peter to take sides and he says this wedding situation just proves it because why else would he not be invited?… He’s very hurt that Peter would turn his back on him like this, but says he doesn’t actually blame him. He knows what a bully William can be and how he likes to throw his weight around.” Again, that’s my assumption too. William did the exact same thing with Hugh Grosvenor’s wedding a few years ago.

More anonymous sources pretending they are speaking for Harry.
Pretty sure the Sussexes would not have attended if invited.
Although Hugh actually did invite Harry iirc. Anyways, I’m not sure if any of them know anything really. They don’t know if Harry was invited and they don’t whether Peter or Harry still talk. But they’re happy to write stores acting like they do know.
*sigh* its obvious and a redundant question. They are doing it for clicks. The end. No mystery or delving needed here.
I have a cousin getting married this summer. I’m going to tell him to release to the tabloids that Prince Harry may or may not be invited to his wedding.
Oh, come now, have some fun! Encourage your cousin to actually invite the Sussexes! 😎
Even if they declined I bet they’d send a nice note.
One post I read on insta urged, if you’re ever unsure who the bully is in any situation, look around & observe who is standing alone. That’s the target of the bullying, the one you might describe as the victim. The bully is never alone. That’s a whole new wrinkle. Because it begs the question, why do people indulge him?
@YankeeDoodles
The people around a bully aren’t those indulging him. They’re those who are toadying, for fear or favor.
Those who indulge him also tend to avoid him.
My only thought about this is that if the Sussexes do send a gift, I doubt it would be jam. That’s a bit casual for a wedding.
More likely a set of candles and a couple of cases of champagne, if Meg wants to send As Ever products.
I so hope she does! Heads will explode!
Since the wedding is on D-Day, is Charles likely tied up with official memorial ceremonies?
this is soooooo exhausting
So all these people printing these articles truly know is the date, time and names of the groom and bride.. the rest is just the fantasy playing in their heads. Although that description of Peggy does seem spot on, but I’m sure the rota know all about Peggy’s demonic side, so they are probably their own sources.
This is kinda sad that the press has to use Harry and Meghan to hype this wedding.
